I mean he does not speak not in the usual og movies and newer ones, different director ones he does slightly to dr loomis at the end.

Rob Zombie may of took his own road and turn, which I quite liked in a sense getting to know more about Myers as a child etc, but the famous One he was a silent killer.

Its not really relevant but majority of people say its a good rework not necessarily one that people hoped though.

The mode switching is a yes for me.

And sounds would be a good addition if they give him really juicy addons similar to pyramid head

No, just no. He never speaks. I was been sarcastic!

  • We may as well give him a speaking part now.

  • Uhm not sure how this is relevant to Myers doing a forward flip *s

Im gonna be real with you, i was kinda hoping that he would have mode switching on demand but not like exact this in mind, me and other few myer mains talked about this after reddit ama and talked it out and agreed if he can from oppressive mode to more stalk mode with undetectable on demand that will be really dope so now its in game.

    Upon looking at this gif:

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/KYEB6NKI2G7O/theshape-slaughteringstrike.gif

You can see its not much know if this is just cinematic movement slow movement like similar to how usual dashes work or is it more like a lunge which is fully 100% controllable snappy and like a amplified coup + tier 3 lunge.

If they can make it be like coup + tier 3 lunge type of ability instead hard clunky to control because he has fast reflexes in general in lore.

And lets touch down on rework of his addons.

If this is what i think it is, this is dream come true for many of us where we can decide to stick to one mode ideally and lose the lethality of other or other way around that will be really really cool.

His stalking i hope it feels similar with addons which are not published yet.

Soo hands down i expected something else maybe like a power of him putting up shimmers mirages of him that stalk and jumpscare and fade away if u lose LOS with them and it notifies michael but this is okay too as ability

Yeah is what I saw, that clip. Add ons, fine, rework? no.

Myers was always about the lunge. It's just bigger now.

Run Coup on him and it's basically the same effect.

Eh, another thing I dislike "just run this" when has he been a lunge Killer? Sorry confused, when I have played him, yes his stabbing motion is a sweep, downy but lunge? idk

  • @Coffee2Go said:

Well they confirmed that they want ALL killers michael wasnt excluded to be modernized with new and evolved dbd since devs confirmed dbd is more or a chase and loop than hide and seek game now with many variety of perks etc.

I do appreciate them not fully removing his stealth and allowing og tiering

Evolved and tweaks sure, but to do something not many seem to want or like, it's like Killers can no longer be unique no more and tweaked more so then the kardashians. If it works. Leave it, add a little, not a lot, seems like more killers are morphed into others to suit this, envoling.

  • @JawsIsTheNextKiller said:

Killers are losing their identity. Michael Myers is now a turbo killer, Freddy is no longer anything like Freddy, Skull Merchant lost her identity, Chucky lost his fear factor, they tried to ruin hillbilly, twins, xenomorph and clown. Onryo nobody knows what to do against her any more since they've changed their minds so often.

The devs need to ask themselves what problem they are trying to fix with all these ill thought out reworks. Focus on those that NEED reviewing: Nurse and Blight, and maybe Trapper.

God the Trapper has needed a rework for a long long time, I myself have no idea what to do against Onyro any more, and it's more and beyond of "learning" etc as how can you when changes keep flop flopping, re works for killers that don't need it. I mean Clown and his bottles come to mind. Maybe BHVR needs to focus less on an assigned member for hair and lipstick and more about bugs and what fixes are needed, wanted and not wanted.

  • @ReverseVelocity said:

Myers is still stealth and stalking.

The new Lunge is his new Tier 3 attack, it instadowns. They just made the Lunge longer. He's going to be able to switch between Tier 1 and Tier 2 on command as well, so you get on-demand Stealth.

His Tier structure is still the same, a slow, stealthy tier; a regular M1 with buffed attributes tier and an instadown tier with a big lunge. It's just more flexible between T1/2 (you still have to stalk for T3 as usual), and has different names.

Myers has no need to lunge, to skate board, to dash like the Pig. DBD is obsessed with lunge, dash killers. It isn't needed, not sure who wanted it, he has been fine. As a Myers fan, movies etc I find it hilarious Myers just gets his skares on and lunge attacks.

James is iconic. I'm sure they could have got someone who looked even a little bit like him.

I know, everyone else so far as I have seen has been cast well.

I feel like this kinda distracts from the survivors versus killer(s) dynamic.

You’re essentially making it 1v1v8. And I don’t see how that’s interesting for the 8 compared to the current mode. Not to mention how much this enforces a killer meta even further.

Well, idk it could be something in the future, after all DBD spreads it's wings more then any other based like games, like it……..not interesting for the surv of course, why not them be pawns in the Killers game? Doesn't have to be killed, sort of a ner ner to another Killer, I mean yes they work sort of as a team, but don't the Killers wish a golden moment of like I did more then you sort of vibe?

  • @LordGlint said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3988764#Comment_3988764

Which would just result in killstealing. Imagine following a Deathslinger around and getting the M1 anytime they shoot someone.

Omg dont take it too info, would be certain killers of course

  • @LordGlint said:

I feel like if you wanted them to work separately from each other, your best bet would be to have it setup as 2 teams of 4 survivors and a killer. This'll have survivors try to have more gen repair than the other team. You can help out your team by bodyblocking the OTHER team to aid or interfere in chases.

Uhm no, best killer wins? like on hooks or downs or something?

  • @KerJuice said:

    Yes.

    Explain?

  • @Ryuhi said:

I think Op meant the rhetorical question more toward the devs, as in "Was it worth not killswitching it before the backlash?" At least, thats how I take it.

Thank you, Yes. I haven't seen such back lash over a kill switch before, a lot was not happy, it was brushed off, my point was was it worth the negative comments, and peepstalking of it,no it wasn't when other should I say killer switches get turned off instantly. There wasn't a response by the mod to explain the whole what is the rules to kill switch was a politicians response

  • I made my point :)

  • @Volcz said:

I hate to go against the grain but I thought it dragged out too long, was incredibly slow paced & everything only starts going crazy/people start dying towards the end. If I could rate it..

    Beginning - 3/10

Middle - 1/10 (most boring part and also sadly the longest)

    Towards the end - 8/10

I think it was a weak addition by Supermassive and I enjoyed any of their other games a lot more. But I'm glad others enjoyed it & got their fill. It was just a weak entry for me. Can't wait for their next one though!

Have you played other games like Untl Dawn, The Quarry and the Dark Pictures Anthology, I loved always the entrance to those games, my least fave though was Man of Medan, wasn't my favourite.

  • Also yes, I can confirm now his middle name is Albert :D

  • @PetTheDoggo said:

The issue is they need to please both sides…

Game won't really work, if many players from one side simply decide to stop playing.

Sadly there isn't going to be any balance with this game, no one is ever gonna be properly pleased. I mean when films come out, they do an audience review, I mean I guess they do some reviews and etc but like maybe they need to stick to more what they have created etc, tweak yes, but every next moon something has changed. I use to enjoy playing some certain Killers, now I can't and I can't enjoy it, I am not a player with stragerges, I get streamers do for their work and so, I just want fun.

  • Lol yeah you do. I ask as the pissed off lol it's ery British, normally you gus say pissed

LOL are you British by any chance?

  • @Rookie1978 said:

Huntress and Deathslinger makes the Huntslinger, the 'first child born in the Fog.'

Snug also met another dog offscreen and had puppies.

    Huntslinger gets 3 demon puppies.

These puppies can be directed to stand and keep watch at a location where they give KIller Instinct in a radius around them. They can be sent towards a gen, totem, etc. and act as watchdogs, barking and yipping at survivors and giving information to Killer. The puppies can be recalled by the Huntslinger after X seconds or scared away by the survivors with a short interaction, in which case they return to following the Huntslinger and are added back to it's roster.

Sort of inspired by his papa, the Huntslinger wields a weapon on a chain- the Meteor Hammer. It can be wound up and spun to strike at a distance, but requires some windup.

While winding up, the Huntslinger can choose to sling forwards, delivering a ranged attack by sending the Hammer down from the sky. Or, they can sling horizontally- the horizontal swing gets stopped on objects, but otherwise swings in an arc and can hit multiple survivors.

Survivors hit by the forward swing become Blind and Deafened for a short period time as they reel from the blow. The horizontal swing just deafens.

Survivors marked by the Demon Puppies additionally become Hindered for a short period of time after being hit by the Meteor Hammer.

    This has to happen now!

I can answer a few of those questions.

    BIG SPOILERS AHEAD!

DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER if you are still interested in playing the game!!!

The story only makes sense if you understand that the world of Frank Stone (and by extension that of DBD) is a multiverse of different realities that the Entity can draw its sustenance from (as you know, Killers and Survivors for the trials). That's the reason why Augustine was able to build an archive full of hundreds of different versions of Murder Mill, each presumably containing Frank Stone's spirit (including T-shirts from a reality that saw a "Murder Mine" film instead), and each taken from a different universe following a different set of events. The 60's, 80's and 2024 events are actually all separate realities. The Sam in the prequel chapter is not the same Sam we meet in the 80's or in 2024. Jaime is the baby Frank is attempting to Sacrifice in the 60's chapter BUT even if you fail to save him, he'll still appear in the 80's chapter because that's a different reality in which Sam was able to save his life. It's also the reason why what happens to Bonnie in the 80's chapter isn't the way things turned out for the Maddie of 2024. A lot of this extra stuff can be pieced together further from journals, books, letters etc that you have to find, so if you weren't able to find them all, then it would be easy to miss a lot of these details. I kinda felt like it didn't really matter what happened to the 80's characters for this reason (because who am I to that all of them dying horribly wasn't what was meant to happen in that particular reality?).

Also, Stan is the best guy to give the cursed necklace to because he's the only character you cannot save at the end of the game (Stan had Robert's part of the Film btw, in case you missed that). Though it's still possible to get Maddie to the campfire if you have her wear it, you just have to make a different set of choices to avoid being hypnotized by Augustine. As far as I gather, Augustine's plan was to curry favour of the Entity by giving it Frank Stone as a powerful Killer and offering up the world of 2024 to feed upon (I gather this backfired and the version of her that we see sacrificed at the end now serves the Entity as a Survivor in the Trials).

Anyway, hopefully that helps the story make a little more sense to you. There are some lore videos on YouTube that go into a lot more detail.

oh wow ty! this yes this :)

sadly it felt too poor when you have previous experiences with games in the same genre, like life is strange, until dawn or the quarry. Personally it feels it have the same quality as "man of medan" or anything from the dark pictures production.

Man of Medan……yes, but I did like the rest of the dark pictures games.

what would you have preferred as a punny name?

    Brainoffee pie……………

  • Okay so my final thoughts on this game. I very much enjoyed the very first half of this game, it had potential, I very much loved Frank Stone, his design, both alive and ghosty type thing, I could see it as a skin on DBD and would hope it would come (can understand for reasons if not) Yet, as I played the game and from when christine got sucked into a vortex, things…..went a little south for me. Also please these are my opinions, I would love to hear others experiences, play through and endings etc, I felt like no matter what, everyone was going to die. There was only 3 times in the game I could either save someone, or haul ass, and it felt like no matter the option the result was death, even some choices I felt like it didn't add, or do anything much to my storyline. Like when I gave Stan the necklace, if I kept it what would of been different? The storyline began strong, I cana nd could accept the rest of the storyline and how it linked to DBD. I wish this game had many more options, like most of my characters fates and choices didn't really addanything to the game, also what was Stan's reason for been there? or did I miss something? I also felt the ration of story to game was not well balanced, also what happened to the baby? And what was the reason Augustine for actually wanting to release the entity?

  • Ty Mr Mushwin for providing a pic :)

  • @Coordi said:

    And no pictures?

alas I am not tech savvy to do so! lol but he is gorgeous and is and attacks my laundry and socks lol

  • What I am finding as I am playing the game is, with people randomly dying due to fates changed, it isn't the same as Until Dawn or other games I have played, I have felt like I have had two choices to flee or save, hasn't been much of a prompt and aid. It is feeling as I am playing like some people are meant to perish no matter with the story. The storyline, as I am playing isn't as strong as some as I have played, but I haven't deleted the game so that is a positive, I am still enjoying things, but I can see a few things others have.

  • I am getting to a point in the game where I am getting a little confused lol, still enjoying it, so far I have gotten just one person killed and for me and my record in these sort of games it's a miracle lol

  • well holy jebus I was mentioned! lol

  • @Mr_K said:

I might need to quit if they add Barney. I'll have nightmares of a purple dinosaur trying to hug me.

what if they added spongebob with "imagination"

  • You have a good point but sadly this game is going to run but burn, I have not been inspired sinced the res evil chars and just result to my og perks, sorry a lot of new perks are bad, when will it stop?

  • really? when this site constantly gets nerf and nerf til someone i can play? lol sure

  • @LordGlint said:

Please ignore the stable player count and believe me when I say this game is dying. We literally got a new license added TODAY with the Witcher skins... but that surely is signs that the game is struggling. T

Your point is? lol we got so many skins and chars previous and think people are playing them? LOL no

  • I was the Queen of downvotes due to a HillBilly comment, but hey those changes then happend lol

  • @jesterkind said:

DBD has a tendency to pull from early incarnations of the licenses it gets - the first movie in a franchise for stuff like Halloween, earlier games for RE (the first time) - so I'd suggest it'd probably be something like The Master from season one. Slight possibility they pull from the movie and not the show, but I somewhat doubt that, they'd go for the more recognisable version.

They'd probably want Angel and Spike to be survivor cosmetics, lol. I'd def play Spike as a survivor, myself.

Alas no. The Master was in a series, Spike and Angel anf a continuous and would rally in support and basically knowing them, not Buffy peeps know of the big bads *s

Gah! I wasn't aware they were making an "Until Dawn" movie! I absolutely love Supermassive games! I was supremely disappointed in "Casting of Frank Stone." Like ######### man. Horrible writing, lame characters, only cool stuff was the dolls you could find.

The fact is I never even played it, watched someone so I could gain a feel and thank baby jesus I didn't spend my money on that game lol

I too think that Vader would be a welcome addition. How ever there is a very low probability we will have our wishes fulfilled. Disney is a strange evil creature… maybe having them as the killer would be more fitting than Vader himself.

Alas Disney isn't so any more as walt is no longer with us, but if he was………………………………..

Google translate is making you sound hilarious, I love it. I have sunk a lot of money into this game especially recently lol. Don't know what the truffle shuffle is haha but I think I get the jist… Unfortunatley this is the path most live service casual → competitive games go. People start taking things way too seriously after a few years and now it's all about making sure everything is balanced instead of prioritizing fun silly goofiness. I'm no expert on game design or anything but that's what it seems like to me.

Alas my attentions have come to dream light valley, if Darth Vadar came here i may reconsider :)

Fair enough. I miss old dbd too sometimes but I can't help but think of all the positive changes we've had over the years and realize I wouldn't have it any other way. My biggest regret is not p3-ing all my killers before the prestige rework. So many killers now and I still have to get the bloody cosmetics for… most of them haha.

Lol! I have actually stopped putting in real pennies now to cosmetics, I did like the truffle shuffle as we called it, but alas wasn't enough to excite me to go back. I guess I sort of liked the bloopers, the way things was all over the place, now it's just a big ole this one is too over powered, so is that one, nerf this, nerf that, buff this buff that. I can't even remember half of the perks or why what who now, so yes some things are better. I don't know I had more fun when this game was like Jumanji.

  • @Na1ts1rhc said:

Nostalgia makes things in the past seem better because our brains tend to naturally filter out negative memories and focus on positive ones, a phenomenon called "rosy retrospection," which means we often remember past events more fondly than they actually were, especially when those memories are associated with significant life periods like childhood or young adulthood; this selective recall, combined with the positive emotions attached to those memories, creates a perception that the past was "better" than the present.

This post is brought to you by google AI overview

Google needs to also recall people don't filter out the negative, but recall it with some of trauma! lol

  • I read none of this, but I wondered if the Hound Mistress would of been better? asking for a friend or two? lol

  • BHVR hasn't been able to balance anything it seems, without complaints, wants and wishes and demands lol, is why I keep to my perks and peeps I know, is too much to try and learn, remember with perks etc, I just wish to play not combat a stragergy lol
