I never knew killers could do that in the first place until it happened to me.

then i would assume its a bug and not intentional. They changed it at some point so that you couldnt spam the Mori for the reason that you just described

Edit: I guess they only changed it so you couldnt spam the mori animation but now you get the progress bar before which may be interrupted/being spammed so maybe its not a bug but just poorly designed… 😐

I personally can't get a constant supply of Alex's toolboxes because of their rarity, because I don't pour that many bloodpoints into any one survivor. And even with most killers, I don't spend enough bloodpoints on them to have a constant supply of very rare or ultra rare addons. I have a lot of killers that are limited to just common/uncommon addons, and a small handful that are limited to common/uncommon/rare addons. And only my current main killer, or my previous main killers, actually have a decent supply of very rare items. So, yes, the rarity percentages actually does affect people, because there are a lot of games where they can't bring the actual useful stuff, if they split up where their bloodpoints are spent.

And with your suggestion, BHVR would have to decide if 100% of the sabotage toolboxes are Alex's, or if 0% of the sabotage toolboxes are Alex's. Which means that BHVR is either allowing survivors to bring Alex's Toolboxes to 100% of their games, or to 0% of their games. That's a major difference.

I never suggested an unlimited supply of the new/merged items though. You are thinking way too much in black or white when there is still so much room in between. There would be a sabo toolbox that survivors may bring, if available, that may be not the same as Alex‘, but then again this is true for every change to Alex‘ toolbox whatsoever.
And i also suggested for addons to be reworked ‚accordingly to resemble killers powers‘ - so still rarities affecting availability here.

i still don’t see the current need of all the useless/often just unused clutter of Items and addons though. Its not even just wasted BP and chaotic inventories - they still need to be factored in into balance and can be susceptible to bugs.

also, I am trying to make suggestions for new items as well, which would lower availability of the sabo toolbox in bloodwebs - and we would run into a huge problem if multiple new Items for added with each having also different rarities.

  • Plenty of connected reasons.

Bad matchmaking, frustrating experiences in both directions for both sides, people being just toxic in general especially with the anonymity brought by online gaming, amplified on survivor side by the fact there is multiple against one, etc

It's the same reason why Very Rare and Ultra Rare addons have such a low percentage to find in the bloodwebs, and it's the same reason why one of Billy's recent addon changes was to bump up the rarity of some of his addons.

Survivors and Killers can be given powerful items and addons, and it's balanced by the fact that they have a much lower percentage to be found in the bloodwebs. For example, the best sabotage toolbox is Alex's, and it's specifically balanced by the fact that it's Very Rare, and survivors can't easily get a constant supply of them if they are splitting their bloodpoints across multiple characters.

Likewise, the bloodwebs are filled with random other junk that most people don't care about, to further limit how often players see the powerful items and addons.

And although an argument could be made that it's bad game design to lock the powerful stuff behind a huge bloodpoint requirement, a lot of people would complain if their opponents were allowed to easily bring the best items and addons to every game they play.

Then the game design is already horribly inconsistent as some killers have great low rarity addons and useless higher tier ones

I think a better game design would be to have less clutter but more usable stuff without power creep or imbalances

especially considering that most of the useless stuff isnt being used and its literally just clutter and nothing else. I cant be the only one seeing only actual useful stuff being used by my opponents (not a complaint, just observation)

    @VantaNite said:

It is a buff tho. Overall even thought the max would be less, the average would increase quite a bit. Some of my survivors have so many useless items as well that I might actually be able to use them if that change happened.

so its a buff because you will use things that you wouldnt have used otherwise? So.. the matches will not be different since you wouldnt have used the weaker stuff?
i guess that could also be worked around by just not converting the weaker stuff into the new ‚averaged‘ stuff but instead into BP/just retire as already happened with other things. And add different useful (not overpowered/strong) things to the bloodwebs to help against too many of one specific item

Idk. At this point i really need to know why we need clutter that no one uses..

  • oh. Yeah i would love that, especially against killers with special Items! (Though i guess at least in Sadakos case its intentional game Design as the tapes cant be dropped)

  • They started with assuming it was a straight buff so while not explicitly saying it it was very much implied. And doubled down on it in their next comment.

  • @Coffeecrashing said:

Your idea will never work. Erasing item rarities would either be a large buff for survivors or a large nerf for survivors, depending on which items were picked. Item rarities specifically exist, to limit the number of best items survivors get. That's literally the point of why the killer and survivor item/addon/offering pools are so over-bloated with garbage.

    well.

I don’t expect anyone (especially not you) to agree with me and its really okay that way.

But frankly, i don’t think this is a well reason to justify overbloated garbage in a game and i don’t see that as good Game design. I also doubt thats the one and only truth behind these things at all

I dont think newcomers have a problem with different items.
As soon as they understand the rarity system, which is shared by games, they will understand what each does.

Are you sure its not just you, who are unhappy with having oceans of items? I know that, it sucks to be a veteran, but it does not really matter. I can get over such a problem easily, just close the item tab. Problem gone.

newcomers were just one of my reasons. And as already mentioned in another comment (and to some degree in the OP) of course its my personal take on this. But i don’t believe that i am the one and only thinking that and i also don’t believe that everyone gets the rarity differences especially considering they already went through changes

also… i didnt really say its an actual Problem Nor did i ‚complain‘. And it doesnt even have anything to do with being a veteran whatsoever

  • @Coffeecrashing said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3822883#Comment_3822883

Your suggestion is inconsistent. You claim that your idea is good because "the different rarities are either too similar to one another", but then you refuse to give us example toolboxes. If you really truly felt the different rarity toolboxes are too similar, then it should be really easy to pick example toolboxes.

So no, your idea shouldn't happen, because the various toolboxes have way too much of a gap in usefulness.

You claim that your idea is good

    i really didnt claim that…

Its my personal subjective opinion that i don’t need to explain to you especially not if you come in as rude as you did

Another commenter also didnt like the suggestion but instead of complaining about something that wasnt even part of my suggestion they asked for clarification

Also, i don’t need your approval and you are not the one to decide if it happens or not

  • @Coffeecrashing said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3822875#Comment_3822875

So you complain when I assume you want all the toolboxes to be the best toolboxes….. then you complain if I ask you if you're cool if none of the toolboxes were the best toolboxes.

Like, for reals, what do you want? Give us an example of a repair toolbox, and an example of a sabotage toolbox, that you would be cool if 100% of the toolboxes were those two toolboxes.

you were coming in here complaining about something that you just assumed.

Its just a simple suggestion and i don’t need to give you an example for my suggestion at all

  • @Coffeecrashing said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3822852#Comment_3822852

So you would be cool if all the toolboxes were Mechanic's Toolboxes and Engineer's Toolboxes?

You are asking this as if i had implied it myself already. Why?

  • @Emeal said:

Items have many problems in this game, but I dont think this is the solution.

Why is it a problem that some items are just a lil better than others? What exactly is the harm or confusion we are solving?
    Please elaborate.

i didnt mention harm or confusion…

But some arguments for my proposal are getting rid of unnecessary clutter in bloodwebs and inventory as well as easier balancing in the long run.

It would probably also be better understandable for newcomers what the Items are for and no need to ‚justify‘ the price differences when there is almost no directly noticable difference.

Also, if they add new items it would again be better for balancing and reducing clutter

edit: also additional customization options as mentioned already.

  • @Coffeecrashing said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/430323/removal-of-item-rarities

So you want to buff survivors, by giving them the best toolboxes, every time they find a toolbox in the bloodweb? Really? So instead of having a high chance of getting the bad toolboxes, they always get the best toolboxes?

So instead of having a 1 in 5 chance of getting the super great sabotage toolbox (which is currently a very low percentage to find because it's very rare), we'll just literally have 50% of the toolboxes be the super great sabotage toolbox?

BHVR should be doing a toolbox review instead. Commodious and Event toolboxes are currently overtuned because they have 32 charges, which gives them too much value when stacked with other generator addons and perks.

where did i mention that they should default all of them to be the best?!?

Just commenting like that feels so unnecessarily antagonistic…

    image.gif
  • i am sure the people that complained about Distortion users doing ‚nothing‘ all game (which wasnt even the truth and definitley not bound to the perk) will be happy about people staying in Boon range to hide their aura.

Yeah the thing is I don't know what goes as too severe for the devs, but the filter seems to do a pretty good job at preventing insults. I was wondering if words that aren't censored are severe enough to get a permanent ban, or a ban all together. I don't mean avoiding the filter by typing a letter at a time.

even if you get censored you wont be free from punishment. Also there are creative workarounds..

As far as i know there isnt an official list on what Kind of insults result on which ban and i think announcing something like this would be a good thing.

  • usually these bans would come in stages similar to the forum bans. Though depending on the severity of the insults/offenses, they may skip these stages as they see fit.

  • they already confirmed that the Deep Rift will soon have other colors.

For the pumpkins/Halloween Event/void/abilitiws i get they want to have it themed with one color as its all part of the same event. But the first iteration of the orange pumpkins wäre really nicer to look at

  • they have stated in a Q&A earlier this year that they want to test new items in these temporary modes so it depends on the feedback now!

edit: gonna add links to my item concepts just because it fits - featuring a smoke bomb 😶‍🌫️

Survivor Items: Piece of Chalk, Pocket Knife, Walkie Talkies, Lighter, Water Bottle, Sling Shot, Spray Paint Cans, Salt Pouch, Smoke Bomb, Voodoo Doll, Smudge Sticks

yes that is how the community thinks how the technical side works (i'm the 5000 hour guy from my example).

my point is mr cote should explain it and then maybe it get changed when he finds out how wrong the community he is like it happened before.

thats is how the devs explained how it works. Its not just something the community came up with.

the dev team is aware how the community thinks of this. Its talked about everywhere.
Mathieu Cote would not be the one to make this decision anyways, its already stated in this thread what kinda tasks he has. Its a very unreasonable idea to expect him to conpletely decide to overhaul this system based on one comment..

    Like it happened before

you mean the flashlight changes and stuff? The Game was in a completely different State back then as was the dev team. Its unlikely something Like that happens now… if it even actually was like the community now acts.

(and i am saying all this while not being content with the current matchmaking System myself..)

  • @BurnedTerrormisu said:

If he read the forum, maybe he can explain how players with 130 hours get matched with 5000+ hour players in the same survivor lobby.

theoretically, matchmaking is based solely on a hidden Rating (MMR) which is only influenced by escapes via gate and deaths (or for killers: Killed/escaped survs; hatch escape is neutral) so matchmaking wouldnt be based in playtime directly - you can have higher skill Level with less Hours played easily. As for completely new accounts: Their MMR needs to be calculated First and may drastically change between the First Matches

All that said: the current implemention of the MMR isnt hard set, you still get matches where the skill Levels vary to make sure Lobby times armer top long and especially lobbies where Players leave need to be refilled and there the MMR will be matched more loosely.

Also, and thats just me personal opinion, this calculation of skill Level isnt really appropriate, as perks, RNG, and plenty of other factors play a huge role in how a match will play out.

  • Maaaybe… Just maaybe… - He is one of us? Using a different nickname just to appear as a player like us? (That would be terrifying)

    Maybe I am Cote??

But seriously, even if they are - they are just humans like us and if one of them frequented this forum eg in the Feedback/suggestions section its still a dev team working on the game and not one single individual making decisions - and plenty of them also are just players like us as well!

  • Yeah, you missed the latest Update: the yellow Mori offering got retired and was made basekit for every match. I think the idea was to make the mori animations more often used/seen, and not locker behind offerings or perks

may i ask why there seems to be a general shift towards Reddit as a main platform for Feedback?

I mean, I get why Reddit is a good Platform for this (many active users, seemingly of diverse skill/knowledge ranges etc.) and i appreciate a shift away from Twitter, but wouldnt it be still possible to have an official thread for this topic here on the official forums as well as there are many users here that don’t want to create a Reddit Account just for DbD?

  • 👀

Looks like some variation of this is getting tested in this years Haunted by Daylight event.

For the Event, the crystal is thematically fitting i guess. But if this is in fact an item that may get kntroduced as a normal/perk item then i think a smoke bomb would fit better

Yeah, I got the free text question too, but getting licenses from a list is a lot more interesting because it implies there's some licenses DBD already has its eye on. And teletubbies, apparently. (And the teletubbies has me going 🤔 because this is exactly how we ended up with a dating sim…)

The only thing I said no to was the Casting of Frank Stone, so it's pretty weird if that one locked me out of licenses. Had plenty of feedback about Castlevania and Lights Out.

i had plenty of CoFS questions.

I think ist either random for these things or device/region bound. And i can see why they would want both kind of answers without the free answers being influenced by such a selection.. i still wanted to support Teletubbies. After all, it is the next logical step after adding Vecna from D&D according to some very wise people

  • @Laluzi said:

For some reason, I didn't even get that part of the survey. Which annoys me, because I 100% would have selected Hellsing Ultimate.

Teletubbies, though. Some things are too frightening for DBD.

Same. I did get a free text question for one franchise however.. obviously i didnt know Teletubbies was on the menu!

Pretty much every survey has some questions like this. Which makes sense for stuff like experience with newly introduced content or events but i don’t get why this kind of question would only be there for selected participants?

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/425133/representation-is-suffering-in-dbd

Ugh… this game has gone so insanely far out to give as much representation as possible to the point where they have flags for every letter of the alphabet and that still isn't enough. Jesus man.

the flags are just charms and banners. It’s great to have them for player expression and customization, it it’s hardly ‚representation‘.

also, they are just small little colorful pixels, really. („ugh… „for every letter of the alphabet“, „Jesus man“) - why would you let this upset you to this extent when it could just exist without bothering you at all?

  • @RpTheHotrod said:

Keep this up and they aren't going to even bother doing skins - just not worth the drama and stress.

I'm LGBT. We don't need "equal representation" in every video game in existence. BHVR is plenty supportive of the LGBT community. It's unrealistic to expect to make one of each kind of possible representation. These things take man hours, time, and money. We're getting to the point that we're going to start demanding game companies to make 50x the amount of skins\flags to be "represented" when they only have it in the budget to make 1.

Just chill - it's a video game. Enjoy what comes our way. No one realistically cares if a character is straight\bi\black\white\good at calculus\prefers pineapple on their pizza. They aren't real. It's just words in a Bio. David isn't really gay - in fact - he doesn't actually exist. Dwight isn't really straight - he too does not exist. At the end of the day, whatever something says in a bio accomplishes absolutely nothing. It has no gameplay affect - it's just fluff. Heck, did you know that Lambert in the original Alien film is trans (MtF)? Probably not - because it doesn't even matter.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/TN68QOL4TGSK/image.png

Representation does matter. That’s a fact and there are plenty of research articles out there validating that. No one said those characters are real people either, and they don’t have to be. And no one realistically asks for ‚equal‘ representation - but direct exclusion is something that should be frowned upon (and DbD actually started with direct exclusion of anything LGBTQ+ related while including plenty of heterosexual contents for some time - luckily they don’t do that anymore)

Just because you are part of the LGBTQ+ community doesn’t mean you can or should talk about them as a whole. It’s okay if you don’t care. But plenty of people (LGBTQ+ or not) DO very much care about these things. To the point where many of those that ‚don’t care‘ start to boycott things for just existing. People relate to characters, it’s always been a thing, and especially in DbD the characters have well established lore, background stories, lives.

also, Lambert being trans matters! That doesn’t mean everyone should focus on it or be aware about it. But i can guarantee you that there are people out there that are angry about this fact or even deny it and there are people out there that celebrate this or just like this.

Also also, Dwight has not been confirmed straight.

  • for me, the issue got fixed with the patch today (even though nothing was mentioned in the patch notes?)

90% of the world at least, is non-LGBTQ. Definitely much higher, but I'm being nice.

As for the 2v8 stream, of course I don't fully remember and there probably is a white dude or two. The point I'm making is that it's insanely out of ratio.

If you really want a fair, non biased way to add "variety" to your game, grab the percentage of people that exist in a certain ethnicity or sexuality irl.

If 0.5% of the world is trans, 2% gay, 0.5% pansexual or whatever, and the remaining 97% is straight, you know what's fair?

Spin a wheel every time you create a new character. Slap those numbers on it, and statistically speaking there will be fair representation for each group.

You might say, "We have a gay character but not a trans character. How is that fair?"

And I say, since when does it matter? Why are we so obsessed with a bunch of pixels on the screen having sexualities? If you're so obsessed with your sexuality that it determines the character you play, that's an issue that you need to resolve.

I don't think straight people mind playing David, so why should gay people mind playing someone else? Since when is representation so massively important? Preventing hate crime is one thing, but from a logical perspective, most characters on the roster SHOULD be straight. Then, the second largest group is gay people. They are also represented. I'd argue Tubarao's existence is also on par with the percentage of trans folks.

oh wow. And I wanted to stay quite on here…

90% of the world at least, is non-LGBTQ.

and you got that number from where? And how certain are you that within this 90 % there is no one in the closet because well… look at the world (not only the western progressive cities but the whole world), also keep in mind how many characters there are in DbD.
And remember the fact those characters are not randomly chosen by the Entity if you want to look from a lore side of it.

The point I'm making is that it's insanely out of ratio

is it though? DbD is known for having a big LGBTQ+ community. And especially for the Fig Whisperers program there are plenty of queer folks and even those that are not are known to be allies afaik. Also.. trying to dictate which content creators they should chose and which not is kinda weird..

If you really want a fair, non biased way to add "variety" to your game, grab the percentage of people that exist in a certain ethnicity or sexuality irl.

no one is asking for that though. Fair is a very subjective word and your definition doesn’t seem to be the objective truth at all.

Btw, are you mad about the overrepresentation of white characters compared to the actual world population?

And I say, since when does it matter? Why are we so obsessed with a bunch of pixels on the screen having sexualities? If you're so obsessed with your sexuality that it determines the character you play, that's an issue that you need to resolve.

you are just as much -if not more- obsessing about it here, aren’t you? Especially considering that just having the charms isn’t equal to having characters

I don't think straight people mind playing David, so why should gay people mind playing someone else?

no one said that lgbtq+ people only play respective lgbtq+ characters. though there have been plenty of people on here that directly exclaimed they stopped playing David because of the reveal of his sexual orientation. You can search for it here with any lgbtq+ topics on this forums created during the time of that reveal and see for yourself.

Since when is representation so massively important?

it’s always been important, especially for people ‚outside the norm‘ so they can feel like there is nothing wrong with them for being who they are. That’s also why we don’t need direct statistical representation. We are talking about media, characters, that are not real people. especially main characters are never just representative of the statistical ‚norm‘ but show very specific traits and also rare ones.

fact is, BHVR has stated themselves that they care about representation and inclusion and they want to create more LGBTQ+ characters though haven’t delivered at all. Susie is only confirmed in outside media so we only have one single original character that’s gay out of.. how many characters are there now? And there is also non-playable/story-only characters taking it way more out of proportion.

as for the choices for this specific chapter, i think everyone agrees that they chose fitting ones when just looking at appearance. But characters are more than just gender, skin and hair colors. And even then, Mikaela’s hair doesn’t represent the character from Castlevania well enough. I bet there would be some character that would fit Haddie or Elodie just as much as Mikaela fit this character. (We all know why Mikaela was actually chosen and I think no one wants to argue against the cash cow, but it shouldn’t be completely overshadowing everything else)

This is the only workaround we have seen posted that players are having success with:

    1. Go to your game's folder (Right click on the Dead by Daylight-> Manage->Browse local files:)
    2. Open the easy anti cheat folder
    3. Whilst holding the Shift key, right click "EasyAntiCheat_EOS_Setup.exe" and select "Copy as path"
    4. Press the Win key + R at the same time to open the Run prompt. Alternatively, open the Start Menu, search for "Run" and open the app from there
    5. Select the field next to open and press Ctrl-V to paste and At the end of the text, enter a space and the following: "install 2b2299be8ae84d679d4dc57c55af1510"
    6. Type "Ctrl+Shift+Enter" to run as admin and EAC will install for you. You should receive a User Account Control pop up asking to allow it to make changes to you device, if you are not running as admin. You will need to click "Yes"

    Just FYI

That makes sense, idk why they would do that with Elf lore making them smaller than normal humans but i guess they had to do something since that might not work in this game

they should have created a female human and male elf and used the female model

If it was so simple do you really think i would be sitting here bothering with all of this??

Gotta love when it ends up being my fault again even though i didnt do #########.

Its predatory to keep giving me the pop up even though i have put the checkmark. How can you not understand such a basic thing?

Here you call it predatory a day after it’s already confirmed by Peanits to not be intentional and being looked at.

Support tickets, and just because they answer to you doesnt mean im making this up, this is the kind of disingunity that makes me so mad and its not only the users its the devs aswell.

What a surprise someone that gets ignored becomes more vocal the next time they have an issiue.

again you act like I was saying i don’t believe you when I just asked you something 🙄

I did ask what type of tickets you got ignored for - bug reports/player reports/other feedback? I didn’t assume you were lying, I genuinely asked because it does interest me when the devs are doing something wrong like that.

But you are highly disingenuous and accuse the devs of things they definitely didn’t do (eg this thread, where you accuse them of predatory marketing and even proceed to do so after a dev has confirmed it’s a bug that’s only affecting a very small amount of players and you even directly said you didn’t get official response after Peanits confirmed he will forward it).
you can’t expect everyone to believe when acting like this either.

  • I am pretty sure it’s intentional that Aestri got the male body and her being the first ‚tall‘ woman.

It’s weird that they chose a DnD elf for this as they are (from what i gathered from others posting) smaller than their human counterparts but.. I guess it is what it is now.

Her and Baermar having the same base model will stay otherwise all cosmetics need to be adjusted for both types leading to way too much effort..

you havent seen all my "nice" tickets from the last view years that got ignored.

Because usually when you do a simple ticket they get answered in a fiew weeks but i guess at BHVR things are a little bit diffrent.

And yeah they can ban me with ease but that doesnt make the bugs go away either.

are you talking about support tickets being ignored or reports on this forum?

Because support tickets get answered for me always and it would be very interesting to hear they actually didn’t respond? Which kind of tickets?

Also… your attitude doesn’t solve the bugs either. As evidenced in his thread 😅

And thats ok they can be against me all they want, i dont mind.

I'll take that if it means im getting actual official response that way, compared to when im "nice" and im not getting any attention to my bugs at all.

to be fair, looking at your record, this is correct. (Except for you being ignored before but I guess that’s already besides the point)

It may lead to a ban however if you cross a line.

I gave you above a numbered point reason why it looked like targeting to me.

and these are still just assumptions that are not true. From an outside POV it looks like you try to find a way to be targeted. That’s why I told you to try to not take things here personally. Especially when you just make stuff up.

Oh boy how often ive seen the very excuse you gave about the "server not responding issiue" when litteraly every other online pve / pve game im playing does not have this issiue, when im living in a country with generally very good internet connection and all other websites / devices have smooth internet on my end. Had this talk a 1000 times by now.

And the thread you are talking about is not what my op was that got closed, so why are you getting involved if you dont even know? Also its not the one rizzo mentioned, as he himself clarifyied to me that the issiued post that made mine duplicate has been alredy archived and its under the teams review in this very moment. Are you here just for arguings sake?

it’s not an excuse if it’s true. Other games have these issues - maybe with another error message or it gets worked around better. But the issue itself can still happen and no game dev will tell you that a dedicated server will always without fail work as intended. And it’s not just one single issue - it can be caused by different things and you don’t know if some of these issues did get resolved. But especially if it happens less often now it’s safe to assume something was done, no?

and the report is still exactly what you were talking about in your closed/duplicate report. Yeah there may be another report archived (probably in PTB bug report section as those get archived quickly) - but then my point still stands - you shoudnt accuse the devs of ignoring you when your report was manually tagged as duplicate and thus being reviewed.

It only looks that way because when im going on here it is to give feedbacks about things that annoy me in this game, didnt know there was an obligatory amount of praise posts until someone is allowed to report bugs or give simple opinions…

I could also talk about cosmetic designs and map visiual designs which i find nice. But that would be pretty much more clutter in this forum so i rather focus on the things that i view as important, is that okay?

it would be okay if you stayed constructive doing so.

But you are making unnecessary assumptions and try to victimize yourself when it’s not personally about you.

Alone in this comment - no one said you need to praise anything or compliment something yet it’s what you focus on. No one ever said you can’t give feedback or report bugs or express what annoys you in this game. The forums are here for just that.
just don’t be insulting or get personal doing so.

I have wrote at least 11 tickets over the course of 2 years about a diffrent topic that has been plagueing this game for even longer than i play it. And not one of those got answered. Yes i see that as ignoring.

I gave up about "dedicated servers not responding" and will probably stay a way for a fiew months again if it ever happens again to me. But that doesnt mean i have to shut up about other bugs too, it only means im always expecting to be ignored, so excuse me if i allow myself to be sceptical about a closed thread.

And the link you sent me was archived so i couldnt opened it, moderator rizzo explained as such in a private convo and said the (chest) bug is under review, so that case is closed for me. Also about the checkmark issiue, sure its low priority but maybe i am just worried it never gets resolved? Is that understandable?

You gotta see from my PoV:
    1) I didnt have full information about the Chest bug, i just experienced it in a match and went on the forum to post, using the search bar if it has alredy upvoted and i found nothing.

    2) My thread gets closed after NOT seeing another thread about it, saying it was duplicate, only for seeing in the very bug reports section that there has been 2 posts about knights new "feature" back to back from the same person, which have been not tagged as duplicate when i looked it up. Maybe its diffrent now but an hour ago they were not. So i felt personally targeted for no reason.

    3) my previous 11 !!! tickets about a diffrent issiue over the last fiew years have really been ignored, making me prejudiced about generally being listened to by BHVR.

So idk why you are after me but im just reacting according to the situation.

    • Platform: PC
    • Description of the issue: Wrong animation when opening chest then cancelling it
    • Steps to reproduce (if possible): open a chest & before to complete it, start to run away
    • How often does this occur: first time I've noticed this bug today

it wasn’t archived. It’s still available and also in the other thread. And can be found easily in the bug report section - and again, no one attacked you for reporting it anyway, you just took offense that it got correctly closed for being a duplicate.

If it gets closed for being a duplicate, you could maybe at least consider the possibility that it is a duplicate instead of accusing the devs of favoritism.

As for the server not responding issue - this could very well be just what it tells you it is? A faulty server connection. This is an issue that may very well happen to every game running on dedicated servers and can never be fixed completely - not matter what the devs do. Obviously, this can also be a false error message and if it happens often especially for specific players or specific servers then something needs to be done. But why assume that you get ignored on this? And again, pretty much all your other reports were closed for being duplicates - that’s not being ignored but actively manually reviewed by a mod or dev and there is a duplicate report. I have made my feedback about this myself that it would be nice to have the original report linked in a duplicate but they just don’t have the resources to do that.

I am not ‚after‘ you, I am trying to explain to you how they are not after you and you shouldn’t take these things personally. And you should try to report issues in a constructive way instead of accusing them of the worst you can currently imagine.

ok yes seems like i mixed the two up, happens when there is a billion bugs at the same time. It would not have been the first time where i get ignored with my issiues so i was just assuming the same case here.

This here thread peanits alredy said they forward it to the team so i dont see a reason to make a report for it. Only question is how fast it will actually be fixed. I havent been online for over a week now, i still had the pop up today when i played again.

again, the chest bug report was a duplicate and was tagged as such correctly. I even sent you the original report that’s under review.

Expecting a fix for an issue that only got acknowledged to be looked at last week is really unfair. They have to find the issue (which is hard enough as you are the only one affected as far as we know) and they need to fix it, test it (again, hard because not easily reproducible) deploy it in an official update. They have plenty of other bugs they are working on (that are probably higher prioritized as for your issue only few players are affected and it’s „only“ annoying but not game breaking or game affecting at all)

I also went through your discussions because of your accusation - and most reports are tagged as duplicates and you have several threads where a dev or mod was active. That is crucially more engagement than my reports/feedback and you still accuse them of ignoring you?!?
