I would also like to add the following that you mentioned:
will run to a loop, vault a window and run to the next furthest away yellow aura, rinse repeat until either you mindgame them or they run out of resources.I thought the killer was supposed to mind game at every pallet where possible regardless? Usually when a survivor wastes pallets it screws the entire team up in the process, even with the gens being popped. If a survivor does not look back then it should be EASY to loop around the pallet or cut them off no?
WOO is not as strong as you think because it does have it's drawbacks, one of them makes you turn your mind off during chases. Which you think is bad for the killer right? Wrong, you make mistakes more frequently, you get sloppy with the chases, the pallet can sometimes be very bright and an unpredictable killer doubling back can easily take advantage of this.
I also noticed that you were complaining about this too:
low skill players are getting propelled into higher skill lobbiesIf anything, survivors should be complaining about that lmao
I feel like from the way you've described everything you have a very particular playstyle of wanting to hold W in every chase without attempting to mind game at all, sometimes it makes sense to go for a completely different survivor without having tunnel vision too. Even pretending to leave a chase and coming back can surprise the survivor.
I would also like to mention something about usage rates, games have 4 survivors and 1 killer. Usage rates are always going to be inflated on the survivors side because it's 4:1 per game.
-
The maps change with every single update, it makes sense for it to have a high usage rate. Mix that with new players and there's the reasoning.
I personally haven't used the perk in months.

I love the idea behind the gamemode, but every game the killer has just tunneled the first person, because the chance of DS and other anti-tunneling perks is so low. Played 7 games and only 1 of them did the killer actually try not to tunnel.
In the end, I wish it was just a feature you could do for the normal game. They should've added DS as base kit for the game mode.

I thought I’d love it… then every game the killer secured their first down, freely tunneled and played in the most uninteresting ways. 6/7 games went that way.
3 games in and i am that person being tunnelled lmao

Your playing survivor and you get the gens done exit gates are powered now your basically just going to sit at the exit gate for two minutes and teabag? Why first off you were hit and hooked so you can't really say hey I made it out without a scratch so screw you. Two its childish to me it is unless your staying there because a teammate is injured and you want some extra points go for it most times once I see okay their powered and no one is in chase with me I won't go near the gates I'll look in certain areas away from it kick a few pallets if any where left since I'm not giving extra points for 'boldness' because they want to stay just inches away from the exit. If it's to get under my skin doesn't really work "then why are making a post about it" because I can and I want to know why people do this unless the killer basically was just a jerk you know slugging and tunneling then they won't get a teabag from me because they played fair and worked hard so I don't waste their time I leave so I can get into the next match and so can they. So why do people still teabag at the gate I really don't see the point of it better yet I see as a your going to be screwed because there was a time killed a Jane as Deathslinger with NOED because she got way to greedy.
If BHVR would just add emotes…

Firstly, ignore the antagonising comments.
Maybe you're looking at this problem from the wrong angle. You're trying to get tomes done and you're being targeted. What do you think you're doing wrong to cause yourself to be targeted?
From my experience I've learnt the killer selectively targets one of 7 factors initially:
- A weak/new survivor (bad at loops etc)
- An aggressive survivor Saboing/body blocking hooks every time they attempt a hook
- A survivor repairing a gen instantly when spawning in and not allowing the killer to do their first gen rotation
- Streamer
- Person with the toolbox/Flashlight
- The first person they see/closest
- Noisy survivors (scratch marks/vaulting etc)
Decide which criteria you fit into at the start and here's how you counter it:
- Take advantage of the aggression and practise hugging everything and get better in chases
- Try not to over extend yourself and have protection perks, test them, if they don't work, try others in the next game until they do
- Delay the repair until the killer has done his initial gen round and stay hidden and away from audio distance
- If you're a streamer it's just luck, got to pray you're better or teammates help cause the killer has a diff type of anger lol
- Stay hidden and out of audio distance
- Stay hidden and out of audio distance
- Reduce noise
If your issue is looping, Exize on YT is probably the best for teaching you checkspots, loops and their types, and other very useful bits of information. (Click title of the vid and it will show playlist on the right on YT)

I am honestly shocked that emotes aren't in the game yet. The amount of money they could make by selling basic animations would be insane. I personally don't take the game seriously enough that it would bother me. I'd probably laugh out loud if I saw my teammate break dancing around the map. I for one would buy a lot of emotes if they sold them in the shop.
I was thinking not too long ago how emotes would actually work with the limited buttons on console, but it would make more sense to just allow us to select which 2 emotes to equip and bring into the game.

I don’t know about what you described but I would like some more emotes. I'd like a thumbs up/down emote, a “don’t” emote where they cross their arms and a new Killer T-bag emote so they can stop doing the ridiculous walking back and forth “humping” emote that seems to have spread among them.
How do you feel about an emote where if someone has been mori'd the killer has the ability to grab them by their feet and swing them around a couple of times before throwing them across the map. 🤣

First 2 survivors dead. 3rd is dead on hook and was just downed but instead of hooking the survivor, the killer goes for the 4th survivor, denying any possibility of hatch.
I'm curious what others think of this?
Personally I find this to be one of the sweatiest things someone could do. You already clearly stomped the survivors. 3 dead on hook and you still have a 50/50 chance of getting the last survivor. I get if the survivor is near or if they just take 5-10 seconds to check the area but often times the killer will just leave the survivor on the ground for minutes.
I had a match last night where there was 2 of us left; the Ghostface killed me but left me on the ground to go looking for the 4th survivor. After about 2 minutes, the last survivor was actually able to pick me up but the Ghostface found me again shortly after, killed me and left me on the ground again. I just immediately DC'd. This was only my 2nd match for the night but I just completely logged off after that.
I don't mind it too much, there's always perks to stop killers slugging and they are effective.

WWow. Look at all these people defending survivors not getting consequences for their ragequits.
The devs can track if survivors havent moved for a while. They could do much more. Display afk crows in the hud. Add crows when survivors dont do objectives after 80 seconds.
Not doing objectives, "suspiciously often failing hook skillchecks"... put them in a low prio or ragequitter queue unnanounced or show it to the other survs after the game so they can be reported.
OOr just remove the suicide. Can be done even without removing self unhook.
You wouldnt be forced to play, you logged in for it. You'd still be free to leave... and live with the consequences.
Honestly? I don't really see killing yourself on the hook as a big deal anymore. It's happened in so many instances in the past year that it honestly doesn't matter anymore. You've also got depipping removed so that's not really affected. I just see it as an opportunity to mess around with the killer or practice loops or map chases with the killer. Usually they understand as well but others just want to get into the next game, and that's completely fine.
The whole issue with hooks is that you can't really stop people from leaving cause they can just DC anyway, it would appear to be a healthy update but at the same time it wouldn't.
"Not doing objectives, "suspiciously often failing hook skillchecks"... put them in a low prio or ragequitter queue unnanounced or show it to the other survs after the game so they can be reported."Take your above statement for example, that would bring more complaints about gen rushing, sometimes killers do need a break too (even though it's a PVP game), I don't even mind doing all 5 gens if I have to as well as finding time to take a good chase and prolong the game as much as possible so the inexperienced players can get used to the game. Reporting them with a system like that also brings into question of targeted harassment and bullying, of course as adults we look past that but it can have long lasting mind altering effects on someone. The game has a maturity rating of M (17 years old) but let's be real, children of all ages play games nowadays. At the end of the day everyone wants to just have fun on the game right? If they don't enjoy it they'll always find a way to leave. The root cause of why they quit should be looked at, not punishing players further because they quit. I still believe the cooldown for DC'ing is still optimal too, it gives you time to calm down for a while and get back into the gaming mindset.

Now that I completely understand what you mean by satisfactory, would it be fair to say; since you see DH as "tank a hit", you don't see any drawbacks to it regardless of any past or future nerfs done because it's still operational. Due to that, you don't quite feel that the correlation between 'nerfed' and 'butchered' would ever be applicable in this instance to each other because it will always stay as a strong perk?
Not quite. It currently is a strong perk (to us atleast) despite the nerfs which is why we don't think its "spoiled" let alone completely as its "performing" well (in most of our matches). If nerfed enough then maybe it would fit the criteria for butchered but as it currently stands DH does not despite the nerfs. It may or may not continue to be strong but it currently is despite everything.
In my games I see DH probably 1:35 games and even then I'm being generous. I'm assuming it's different for you, but that's how it is for me (Console). Just today alone I have not seen DH once, (I've seen sabo probably about 15 times today). I've escaped almost all games back to back too so MMR definitely isn't the factor. I'm on EU servers as well so you know it's sweaty regardless of the game played.
While we do see DH more, we will say again that usage rate doesn't matter to us (despite the devs seeming to heavily favor using that) as thats more of an indicator of if people like to run it or not, not the reason why they run it or how it does in their hands. Though as an aside how often is the tunneling? (NA is…..prolific tonight)
NGL mate idk if both of our brains were fried or not last night writing the comments but my first para is exactly what you said minus the future perk nerf aspect LOL
If nerfed enough then maybe it would fit the criteria for butchered but as it currently stands DH does not despite the nerfs. It may or may not continue to be strong but it currently is despite everything.I still believe perspective has to play a role in it (as mentioned above), you believe it's not classed as butchered yet then that's how you feel, I can still use it but I'm borderline for it atm but I know it's strong. At the same time I also know people who can't use it at all and define it as butchered so.
I believe the dev's look at the most used perks because they're the most effective to play the game at that current time, then slowly balance the game around them to force players to look for alternative builds, due to that other perks suffer heavily.
I have killers who look at me while standing at the hook then swing at the hook and then look back at me and start nodding lmaooo, you'd think they were farming by that description but no, they're just another type of demon on DBD, either you get lucky and destroy them or make a mistake and then get basement hooked 🤣
I've not seen any tunnelling today, yet.. but I have seen 2 games back to back where both players rage quit at 5 gens, still managed to escape somehow lmao

Ahh I think we miss communicated our point abit. What we meant by satisfactory was that it's usable, doesn't hinder the survivor, and does it's job (to us it's "tank a hit"). We didn't include anything about stats or data as we're focused on its operation, not how well others use it or how often (as let's be honest, LOTS fall flat trying to mimic streamers and such). How often it's used doesn't fully indicate if doesn't work, more of people don't like it for some reason or another.
We are focused on your given definition:
to spoil something completely by performing or dealing with it very badly"
What it seems like (an please keep in mind this is just what it seems like to us) that you are equating nerf and usage to butchered. Especially considering this line behind the definition:
ie it has been nerfed
We don't see common grounds due to us not thinking that DH fits in the criteria given.
I believe you don't see DH fitting into the criteria given because of the following:
Now that I completely understand what you mean by satisfactory, would it be fair to say; since you see DH as "tank a hit", you don't see any drawbacks to it regardless of any past or future nerfs done because it's still operational. Due to that, you don't quite feel that the correlation between 'nerfed' and 'butchered' would ever be applicable in this instance to each other because it will always stay as a strong perk?
My experience with DH:
In my games I see DH probably 1:35 games and even then I'm being generous. I'm assuming it's different for you, but that's how it is for me (Console). Just today alone I have not seen DH once, (I've seen sabo probably about 15 times today). I've escaped almost all games back to back too so MMR definitely isn't the factor. I'm on EU servers as well so you know it's sweaty regardless of the game played.
The reason for mentioning usage:
I knew there would be discrepancies between usage and that was expected because we all have different experiences on games regardless of what it is (iirc someone else originally mentioned usage specifically, I'd have to check the thread, I'm fairly sure I never mentioned usage in the original comment or first, if I am wrong then I shall stand corrected), so that shouldn't even be in this particular discussion and that could also be causing you confusion on your end, just the nerf and butchered comparison).

You didn't bother mentioning anything about stats (what kind, how it maters in this context, etc) though the 3 of us have been playing hot potato with the phone so we might have missed something.
We don't particularly care about the counter argument but more of the statement. Nerf does not always equal butchered, following many definitions (including the one you provided).
Takes a bow Buffy is a great teacher of talking about things
I've scrolled up once earlier and I know for a fact I've missed replies 🤣
I believe my stats comment was in reply to your comments of:
Its performance is satisfactory and not seeing it doesn't translate to being spoiling it completely. Special emphasis on completely as while it was nerfed from its original form, it's still very good. Its still used and often at that. It works fine, still can extend chases if used correct, still can be baited... We don't see itThe stats comment was merely generally relative rather than specifically, it was more-so about how if data isn't collected over a short period of time it can be more prone to being misconstrued due to the many factors that can contribute to it, that's why I never went into further detail. Yes the same can be said for collecting data over a large period of time but it has less of a risk.
It was relevant because we were talking about DH and it's usage; which is why I mentioned stats, that's what made the comment relevant and how it mattered.
You have just said the following too: "
Nerf does not always equal butchered" (As you said prior with Nerf=/=butchered), which I do agree with, but in this case we have differences between if DH is or isn't. Maybe it could be due to the platform differences, do you play on PC or Console?I know on console there is still input delay, even with my high net speed, I haven't tried DBD on PC yet (even though I own one) so maybe because of the completely different experience on there it may possibly be the sole reason we can't find common ground here.

The queues are long in the evening at whatever my MMR is anyway. I'm often waiting 3 or 4 minutes for a trial that's over within 30 seconds because my teammates aren't even functional. I'd gladly take a 5 minute queue for a better game over a 3 minute queue+10 minutes of my life I'll never get back.
What's your region? For me it takes anywhere between 5 seconds and a minute.

Yes, but to be fair almost EVERYONE would be testing changes, cause things changed and they want to see what its like first hand.
Your beliefs are your own but thats also not the point. We are following the definition you gave and Deadhard does not fit.
to spoil something completely by performing or dealing with it very badly", ie it has been nerfed. As Alice_pbg effectively said above, Nerf =/= Butchered. Just because it got hit with a nerf bat, even repeatedly, does not mean its butchered (by this definition) since it still performs very well with survivors who know what their doing.
I mentioned the testing phase for the perk as it shows inflated stats directly after the nerf which is why that particular data can't really be reliable but weeks/months later can.
I still do not agree with Alice_pbg's counter argument as she has also missed out perspective.
Also, thanks for your eloquent response.

irrelevant.
butchered and nerfed are still not interchangeable
It was very relevant actually, it proved my point that perks have indeed been butchered in the past, you stating that my question was relevant proved that my statement was also true, indirectly.
And yes, they are depending on how severe the nerf has been.

I think this is something the developers are very much blind to, and it desperately needs to be addressed. Matchmaking focuses way too much on queue times and match quality is too often terrible.
Not everyone is able to play for a 2-3 hours at a time and "win some and lose some". I'm closer to 40 than 30. I usually only have time for a couple games in the evening. It's unbelievably frustrating when those trials are losses from the lobby, and the result would have been the same if I took my hands off the keyboard and didn't participate.
As a result, I don't play DbD that much anymore. If I only have an hour or so for gaming, I'm not going to spend it on a game that isn't respecting my time and refuses to manage the community by banning repeat AFKers.
Ah the days of long queue times.. I could watch an entire TV show while waiting lmao

Now your just making stuff up that fits your argument.
I witnessed changes just as much as you have. This makes none of our opinions invalid. You experienced stuff the way you did and I did it the way I did. However, in the way you stated your opinions in relation to the topic, the arguments such as the Ptb one make little sense.
A discussion is there to argue opinions. Until now, you told everyone that said that your opinions don't align with theirs that "if they had been there, they would agree", invalidating their opinion in the process.
No, they can have been "there" but have a different opinion on the topic.
If course is was also afflicted by some of the things you stated. I have a different opinion about their impact though.
I'm not even gonna go into the next bit, because it leads to nothing.
First and foremost, I talked about twitch not YouTube. On twitch, every time when a Ptb drops, almost every dbd streamer tests the Ptb. People watch that.
You stated, that the opinions of the players that do not play on pc are not taken into consideration when it comes to Ptb. This is straight up not true.
I wouldn't go as far as : "I never once said, that their opinions weren't invalid." because yes, you never said, that their opinions where valid indeed.
The last part is propably true. We do not know what percentage of people on pc give feedback compared to people that play on console, but one could come to the conclusion that people that can test it are more likely to give feedback on it.
Okay mate, have fun with this discussion. Done repeating myself. 👍️

Fair enough if you don't see it but per your definition here:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3718331#Comment_3718331
It doesn't really fit "butchered". Its performance is satisfactory and not seeing it doesn't translate to being spoiling it completely. Special emphasis on completely as while it was nerfed from its original form, it's still very good.
Would you say post nerf, players were still actively trying to use it? test out the changes etc, I know I was.
I think that no matter what changes happen to this perk players will still use it because there's no other perk like it in the game, and the mind games are just too fun when using it. I do also think that using this perk brought out the sweatyness of killers, which was fun to see because when you got out played it was usually in a serious way, which made you better overall.
I do agree that it doesn't seem as spoiled currently but from what it originally once was, it was indeed butchered due to having 3 nerfs to one perk (the reason I personally use that term), it took multiple attempts to nerf this perk too, so it was only natural some issues were going to arise with it.

Your definition: "to spoil something completely by performing or dealing with it very badly".
Its still used and often at that. It works fine, still can extend chases if used correct, still can be baited... We don't see it
I don't see it often in my lobbies anymore at all, maybe 1 in 35 games if I'm being generous. It requires a prerequisite before activation, it has a very small activation period and you have to time it just right, where as before it was very easy to use as well as all the other positives.

Your completely missing the point.
Your saying: "I saw that and was afflicted by that. If you have not, your opinion is invalid." I have experienced this stuff and am not a quitter out of these reasons (some of them make little sense, yes). Not everyone shares your opinion despite having enough or more experience in the game. I hope you realize this.
If you read some of the points you stated, you must see yourself how little sense they make. A survivor doesnt become a quitter because of some of them. These more seem like personal grudges you have.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3718615#Comment_3718615
I did say, that the PTB is on PC only. Please read…
Have you seen how many people watch Otz LIVE STREAMS? A lot to put it simply. Im not talking about some streamer and a small video. Im talking about the most well known fog wisperer that livestreams every ptb as soon as they drop.
People that watch these have their own opinion on stuff and can share them on the forums. If they want to repeat Otz´s opinions, then thats on them. They are still able to give their take on it. Therefore their opinions are taken into consideration. The opinion of someone that played it and the one of someone that doesnt has the same weight.
Example: in the last PTB, where the Pig changes happened, I got on that as fast as possible to record gameplay for the other Pig mains here on the forums, which wherent able to play (out of whatever reason). I played a ton of matches and shared then here. Then we discussed the gameplay and came to conclusions. Some of them are on console. Did their opinions matter less or where not taken into consideration? No.
Last but not least: I can look up a dictionary myself, thank you.
I could say the exact same thing to you.
You're completely missing the point.
You're saying: "I didn't see that and wasn't afflicted by that. If you have, your opinion is invalid."
I stated earlier that everyone has different gaming experiences and that's obvious.
My first sentence was in reply to you asking how it was a Fact, so maybe you should take your own advice because for some reason I've had to revisit the same points multiple time in this thread.
Just because of how stupid some of my points sound does not make them invalid. (already explained some of them sound ridiculous, because they are and they've still happened)
Since everyone on the forum loves statistics let me break it down for you.
In March 2023 DBD sold 50m Copies worldwide, it's also free to play on places like PSN+ now. So there's definitely a lot more players around the world who have it.
Otz has 1m subs on Youtube alone, even if you did take into account his other channels, that's still less than 3 million followers and most likely the majority of people subscribing to all 3 channels are the same. His vids range from a mill and lower views across all channels, except in the case of the one which had montages for games like PubG. There were rare instances where his vids also had more than a mill on other channels. Twitch is the same except its around 230k.
Even adding all that up it's still miniscule compared to 50m+ active copies sold, and even then they could have been multiple purchases. This doesn't even take into account that half of his followers could also be PC main players. There's many discrepancies to is.
After taking all that into consideration, lets call it 4mill max followers.
4 % 50 is what? = 12.8.
In other words 8% of the total community be they on PC or Console, and that's still not taking into consideration the extra players above 50mill who downloaded the game. That is still a miniscule amount in the grand scheme of things.
To be clear, I never once said that their opinions weren't invalid. I said their data is miniscule and doesn't reflect the player base correctly as a majority of feedback is still from PC.

how have survivors been butchered then? Your words.
If they have been butchered then something must have changed.
No one really demanded anything of you they just said with a laundry list like that you probably shouldn’t play and they have a point.
The thread is about quitting, the point is to keep it on topic. You have advocated for quitting by providing reasons to quit.If your goal was to clarify “why people quit” then you framed it very poorly and have made even weaker attempts to clarify. I understand why you struggle though because you don’t even understand your own point so how could you possibly understand someone else’s?
That is kinda funny. But such is the value of online interactions.
I have responded to every single one of your comments where applicable.
I've written a list of ways survivors have been butchered (or for simplicity nerfed); causing players to quit in past games prior to today, which you clearly disagree with and you still have a problem, so tell me, what is it?
Something must have changed? My first point was gen times being increased (something that has been changed), I couldn't be anymore direct with my answer, especially having it written before you've even commented it.
"No one really demanded anything of you they just said with a laundry list like that you probably shouldn’t play and they have a point."- This sounds very personal and objective tbh."The thread is about quitting, the point is to keep it on topic. You have advocated for quitting by providing reasons to quit."- I have provided my witnessed reasons for players quitting midgame in the past, not reasons players should quit in the future, there is a clear difference, you also want to influence my opinion and try to sway it, which will never happen.I would also like to highlight the following, in almost each and every single one of your comments on this thread you have attacked someone personally, directly or indirectly, So I ask you, why don't you keep it on topic?
Your comment to @Rudjohns you commented the following:
"Tunneling is not the problem, players like you are."- stating he was the problem.Your very first comment to me you reiterated that I should quit indirectly: "
So if you don't really enjoy a large number of aspects of the game then it's not wholly unreasonable for someone to ask, hey why do you play?" - Knowing full well that I just clarified that what he wanted was a demand not an ask prior, which I have to repeat once again. On top of that, that interaction had nothing to do with you. Then you brought up some points about an agreement, when none were mentioned above your comment in this thread, thus, no correlation at all to my original post or any other.
I find this part particularly intriguing tbh. You specifically mention what your goal in this post is. - "
Nothing wrong with giving feedback and saying there are changes you don't like", I take it my original comment was what you don't like.Again, directly attacking @Rudjohns this time: "
You haven't really exposed anything other than your inability to deal with tunneling and a quitter mentality."Again to me: "
If your goal was to clarify “why people quit” thenyou framed it very poorly and have made even weaker attemptsto clarify.I understand why you struggle thoughbecause you don’t even understand your own point so how could you possibly understand someone else’s?"Another directed towards me with your first sentence: "
I’m afraid here you simply quibbling overpoorly thought semanticsto avoid making any valid point."Here's the cherry on the cake, you even went as far as trying to mock and belittle me: "
That is kinda funny. But such is the value of online interactions."All of your insults are under the guise of "feedback". This will be the last post I reply to you.

Why is this a fact???
The comment: "PTB is on PC so only the PC audience is being taken into consideration when getting feedback (one sided feedback, you do the math" literally makes no sense at all!
The PTB doesnt offer a seperate section to insert your feedback. There is no button, where a textbox pops up only for the player to insert their opinion.
Feedback for the PTB is collected via the Forums. ANYBODY can write here. What you mean, is that not everyboody can PLAY the PTB. This however is not what you said. You said, that all the opinions of other players are not taken into consideration. This is wrong. I could have watched the PTB for basekit unbreakable on Otz´s livestream, where he and his friends tested out all the features and then go to the forums to write a lenghty post about how this is not a good idea.
This point is factually wrong.
Is the PTB on PC only? - Let me answer that for you, Yes.
And what is a fact? "a thing that is known or proved to be true.".
A very small, miniscule minority watching a video of the current PTB from a streamer but not having direct hands on experience does not mean both audiences are taken into consideration (because their opinion will be influenced by the person they've watched and PC and Console are different in many ways, for example the smoothness of 360's). That is not how a usual PT works.
IF that was the case then game companies would NEVER run PT's on minority platforms, only on the main platform that has the biggest audience so that they can collect feedback.
A GOOD example of this is console players being affected a lot more heavily by pre nerfed Boil over than they were on PC. I saw many games where a PC player would have miniscule wiggle sway but when it came to console they had a ridiculously large wiggle cone.

No. You just think of your opinion as superior. In that case, then yes. There is little point to discuss.
I have experienced this game for a long time and have seen a lot of ups and downs. I even had inpact on some of the things that changed.
It's got nothing to do with being superior, you stated a point and then went completely around on it.
You've experienced this game for a long time but never experienced what I've personally seen? Okay then that's fine, we all have different experiences with the game.
And do remember that once again you did say this "But your original list makes little sense at many points..."
Thus, my above comment is a fact.

Feel free to pick any of the collection you previously listed below.
"You have frustrations with other survivors not enjoying the game? Let me easily explain why, killers will hate this post because they know most of it is true but I'll be straight to the point with it.
Survivors have had the following butchered:
- Gens take longer to do
- Healing is currently ridiculously too slow so if a killer is fairly close it is virtually impossible to finish one heal if they have even 1 slowdown perk due to how fast killers currently move.
- Maps are ridiculously small or terribly redesigned
- Loops are 50/50 but with killer speed they start becoming useless fast
- survivor perks that would give you some sort of protection like dead hard is now butchered
- Boil over is useless and should be deleted from the game already
- Most PC killers still don't even feel the wiggle when carrying someone
- If you don't have at least one healing perk in moderate+ MMR games you can forget healing most of the time
- Survivors quit when 3 people are injured at the start before a gen is done because of the above healing issue, knowing it's useless to continue.
- Still nothing can be done about stopping a killer hard tunnelling without throwing the game unless your team is good
- Pallets are still 50/50 when they should 60/40 to survivor due to all the killer buffs and outdated pallet drop mechanics (Getting hit when you're in the pallet drop animation and the killer hasn't even finished the animation on their side)
- If a survivor does not bring a toolbox, unless the killer is bad you can forget finishing all the gens in time
- Ridiculously large hitboxes for killers still exist (huntress hatchets hitting you around corners for example)
- Nurse still exists in the game and impossible to beat unless she's awful at the game (killer has a headset which you can't reduce them hearing you at close range like iron will used to
- Unlimited map distance for range killers with miniscule objects in the way to stop them
- Still getting stuck on absolutely everything for no reason (Garbage map optimisation)
- PC players being able to play with filters (Clearly borderline cheating because it gives a lighting/tint advantage but if dev's don't want to address and accept that then so be it)
- Survivor perks are starting to become borderline useless and will continue to be when they continue to get massacred
- Killer movement speed is starting to get out of control when using survivor perks like lithe and they are still directly behind you within 3s (I honestly think this is a bug somewhere because killers should lose bloodlust but they don't, I also had a killer traverse 8 different rooms with me on his shoulders with 0 movement perks and without iron grasp (so clearly something is wrong)
- PTB is on PC so only the PC audience is being taken into consideration when getting feedback (one sided feedback, you do the math)
- Foliage such as bushes have also been nerfed on some maps so it's just chases unless again, the killer is bad as they were in 1 of my games today
- Turning animation for survivors needs to be adjusted and sped up slightly.
- Targeted before the game has even started for being TTV or a high prestige when you're just trying to chill
- Being forced to save teammates but they don't do the same back
- Being left on the hook"
lol I just noticed the edit.
The term butchered means "to spoil something completely by performing or dealing with it very badly", ie it has been nerfed.
The term dislike means " to feel distaste for or hostility towards" or for simple terms, to hate it.
There is no correlation between the two, stop trying to find one.
PTB is on PC so only the PC audience is being taken into consideration when getting feedback (one sided feedback, you do the math)
This one here is also a fact LMAO

In the entire thread above where does it state the following words: "I disliked the survivor changes"?
Let me spoon-feed you the answer., it does not.
You mentally decided that upon reading it as it was never stated. OP was confused as to why survivors are suddenly starting to give up, I clarified my own personal summary of reasons that could be the case from what I had witnessed so far.
As for your prior comment, asking and demanding are two different things, as I clearly stated above but I guess I have to reiterate. Telling someone they need to do something is a demand, not an ask.
Also, not once did I state I had an issue with camping or tunnelling in this entire thread, again that was from you mentally.
I would also like you to elaborate on your last point, where exactly did I say I quit mid game in the thread above? 🤣

Well lets look at the point objectively.
You have a really long laundry list of changes things you dislike about survivor changes and play and what appears to be a bit of a chip on your shoulder about the opinions of "killer players."
So if you don't really enjoy a large number of aspects of the game then it's not wholly unreasonable for someone to ask, hey why do you play?
The whole "players have a right to choose" element of your point is kinda exercised at the wrong moment. You choose to sign up to play DBD when you hit the queue button. That's basically your agreement with a group of other players and BHVR to play out the game. If any aspect of legitimate gameplay makes you want to quit early then that decision should be made prior to queuing up to play.
Camping and tunneling are part of the game and should be expected as potential play you'll face. If you quit when facing expected and accepted play then you need to quit prior to queueing up, not during game.
Nothing wrong with giving feedback and saying there are changes you don't like, but even changes you don't like aren't rationale for quitting mid game. Again make that decision before you sign up to play.
I mean if you want to look at it objectively, at what point in the entire post did I say I disliked the survivor changes? 🤔

The game is way too snowbally for killers. Any minor mistake by a survivor and the game is completely over for the survivor team.
Survivors can tell when the game is over, there’s honestly no reason to keep playing after a point.
Killer is not the same, you can comeback, even with 4 gens and a full team of survivors. That doesn’t happen with survivor.
Making survivors play an obviously lost game makes no sense. The survivors know it’s over and the killer knows it’s over. Also, I would like to mention, on this post, it appears survivor mains are fine with survivors leaving and killer mains are the ones getting all upset that survivors are doing this.
it is still possible to bring it back though, all it takes is tunnel vision from the killer and one good chase ^^

I mean fair enough if you yourself don't agree with all the reasons you stated. From your wording it just sounded differently.
I mean as a killer I can still see why people leave matches as well. But sure, as a survivor you get that experience even more, because it can depend on the different killers gone against, as well as the playstyle of different killer players. And I get that survivor can be rough at times, no doubt.
Personally my experience has been that solo queue isn't as bad as some people make it out to be, but that solo queue could definitely use some help as well. Again, I believe solo queue could use a bit more information to work with, like kindred basekit, and I believe that tunneling and camping need to be nerfed as well in my opinion. I still can't believe that the progress of the anti-face camp feature isn't shown on the hud for example.
WYM I don't agree with my own post? When did I ever say that lmao?
Half the reasons stated ARE silly reasons to DC or suicide but thats what I witnessed.

I am getting your point "mate", believe me. But as I said, most people surely don't leave games for most of the reasons you described. A lot of them are just ridiculous.
I get that people sometimes leave matches early because of a very unfun killer or because the match is going horribly. Of course the former is incredibly subjective so generally never a good reason to just screw over your team, but I get if people are fed up with going against a killer they hate multiple times in a row. And the latter I guess is ok, if the match really is going badly, i.e. 2 or 3 survivors downed or hooked before the first gen is done or something like that, but not 2 or 3 survivors injured before the first gen is done. That's not a good reason to quit.
I also realise that solo queue has it's rough edges, especially with camping and tunneling still being so strong in the game.
But there is no doubt that some people also quit just because they got downed first or the match isn't going exactly the way they wanted it to go, which is quite ridiculous.
I've got over 3k hours in this game sadly, but of course I do not know how many hours of that I played survivor and how many of those hours I played killer. I do play more killer than survivor currently, but have been playing more solo queue recently as well.
As stupid as half of the points I made sounded, they were indeed reasons why people threw games. I never specifically stated if I managed to escape or not, which I of course did in most cases but that's just how it went down.
As you feel that you play killer more (even though you SoloQ as well), would you agree that it's safe to say that I have a higher chance to see more of the silly dilemmas that occur on a daily basis?
I agree with your points there for survivors quitting too, I did state in my original post that I could have went on forever, but I kept it short because nobody likes to read an essay at 2am lmao
Even with all the silly stuff that goes on in this game, it is still fun in most cases, even when losing.

it would be so busted unless there was something to balance that out, or like an equivalent draw back.

Yeah you edited your comment after I read it. Also, I did contradict myself a bit, so I'll admit that. But my accusation of you being biased is at least based on the points you made.
No I get the point of this thread, but most of your points aren't reasons for normal people to give up immediately. A lot of them are pretty damn ridiculous. That's the point I am making. It has nothing to do with truth, if you give up for all these reasons listed above, that's not a problem of the game at all.
Plus stuff like "gens take longer" are something you know before even queueing up for the match, so those points just sound like complaints about the game's balance and that's it.
Not to mention you make claims in these points of yours that are not true at all, for example the claim that you won't get all of the gens done if you don't bring toolboxes, or that loops are all 50/50 mindgames, which is just absolutely untrue.
Not sure why I would have to elaborate on that either to be honest.
Here's another question for you, how many hours have you played as killer vs survivor?
Why do you think survivors suicide on hook or DC?

I believe you're still not getting my point mate, this is what I have seen to be true, it doesn't matter if you agree with it or not because from my POV, these are specific reasons for players to become frustrated and DC or die on hook as I have witnessed it.

There isn't much coming together. Some of the things you mention are either the survivors own fault or are good changes.
You don't have to be sorry at all mate, the reason it makes little sense to you is because you haven't witnessed them take place. I have. That's the only reason why.
