No, both noed and adrenaline are fine.
Can we please stop complaining about these 2 perks already?
doubt that'll happen.
ppl will always blame their losses on something else but themselves.
once they stop complaining about NOED / Adrenaline, they will start complaining about something else. i guarantee you that.
-
just go treatment and spam the shock. when you have no electrode add on / the brown one, you can shock them so fast that they will never get the unhook.
the grabs dont even work 75% of the time. when i try that, my doc usually spawns a 3rd arm and hits the survivor with his bat instead of grabbing them, allowing both to get away.
-
i dont care about the kills, i want the round to be fun for me.
i want them to be scared of me finding them. i want to be the power role.
i dont wanna be seen as the joke of the trial, running endless circles around pallets / windows, being flashlight blinded all the time, teabagged, made fun of. even though its rewarding af when you completely destroy such a group, cause they were waaay too cocky and thought they could get away with anything...
average kills?
id say 2, maybe 3.
average kills against such a group i just mentioned?
4! i want them ALL dead! i wanna teach them fear... and hear their salt in the end chat LUL

if you believe to have found a cheater, make sure to report them ingame.
additionally to that, you can fill a support ticket here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/
make sure to add additional video proof of them cheating.
-
punish.
ragequits.
HARD.
honestly, those are the main reason i believe solo queue is hell.
-
its not unfair to go up against.
cleanse totems.
-
honestly, they should really add the following extra rules to the pipping system:
3 kills = no depip (you completed the trial and did well, you do not deserve to be punished with this result)
4 kills = 1 pip at least (you comepleted the trial and dominated the survivors. you killed every single one of them, you obviously won)
survived = no depip (you completed the trial and won. your performance will decide weather you deserve a pip or not, but you completed your task and escaped, therefore you shouldnt be punished)
-
no... NO!
take it away! TAKE IT AWAY FROM MEEEEEEEEE!
D:

as someone who lately has found a lot of joy in playing clown, i would love that!
on the other hand, those bottles are REALLY strong in a chase, having 8 might be a bit of an overkill...
i can usually catch a survivor with 4 bottles - i love the 5th bottle add on though.
i wouldnt mind having ~5 bottles by default. that would be really cool.
yet i also dont believe he needs buffs in the chase aspect. he is already VERY good at that. if you ask me, he should have a way to travel the map quickly.
maybe if they added some "jack in the box" boxes on the maps, spread out of course, that he can teleport to? (so he climbs out of them, similar to a jack in the box)
maybe survivors could also sabotage them to make them unavailable for a short time?
that would certainly add some strength in the cathegory he is lacking the most: map pressure.
-
doc has them in all tiers aswell though...
every single add on doc has that adds a symptom changes the entire gamestyle...
-
this add on is SUPPOSED to weaken your power, therefore give you a boost in the BPs earned. its the same for speed limiter or the wraiths "the beast" add on (i believe that is the one that activates the heartbeat?).
honestly, this is by far the STRONGEST out of those add ons, simply because you can still oneshot survivors in traps by picking them up immediately.
the add on works fine, it is not in the need of any changes.
-
honestly, i dont think you need another second chance.
at some point the killer deserves the 4k.

Except it's not really a team game. Your goal is to escape, but as an individual. What happens to the others does not matter to you unless you want it to matter. Survivors have the option to play selfishly if they want. It's generally in your better interest to help others, because the longer the entire group survives the greater the chance any individual has a chance to escape. But you are not bound to other survivors.
Otherwise they would change the game to be more like Deathgarden, where if 2 of you die the entire group loses. That's not ever gonna happen though.
well, yes you dont necessarily need to play together AS a team, but you still ARE in the same team.
DbD has 2 "teams" going up against each other during the trial: the one man team called "killer" and the 4 man team called "survivor". both teams have different objectives and goals -> the killer wants to kill and the survivors want to survive. however, since the killer is much more powerful than the survivors, the survivors need to play together as a team to overcome the killer. if every survivor just survives on their own and give no ######### about the rest of the team, they will lose the round. they might get lucky with the hatch, but still 3/4 survivors will most certainly die (with very few exceptions).
the description of the game states, that you can work together with your team to try and overcome the killer or try to survive on your own - which is by far the harder option.
survivors are like a machine with 4 gears. each gear is one of the survivors and if they all work together perfectly, the machine is literally unstoppable. however, if one decides to not work with the others, that is like a broken gear which will heavily affect the machines overall functionality, leading to losses.
this is literally why everyone hates SWF, because they can play together as a team a lot better than 4 random people (thanks to voice coms), which makes the survivors stronger than the killer and leads to a loss on the killers side. they wouldnt achieve that by playing everyone for themselves.
TL;DR: you are not forced to play together with the rest of the team, but it doesnt change the fact that you are a part of the team. this is the whole point i wanted to make with my previous comment, since his answer was "Four random solo players without communications is not a team!" - yet they are.
also, deathgarden doesnt work like that anymore.
-
"I'm a rank 1 killer main, so i KNOW you didnt pip!"
im dying xD

Four random solo players without communications is not a team!
all 4 of you are working together to achieve one overall goal: escaping.
those 3 other players ARE your team. you rely on them just as much as they rely on you.
together you can win, alone you can not. its simple: 4 survivors go into the match vs 1 killer. the 4 survivors need to work together as a team to overcome the killer and escape - thats the whole idea behind DbD.
-
360s dont work 90% of the time though.
its good versus bad killers, but i doubt you can pull it off with better killers, at least not constanly.
when you are in the open field, you usually get hit. 360s are like a desperate attempt to dodge the inevitable. you should really try to improve at looping if you wish to not go down so easily, everything else is very unreliable.

lmao, I love it when survivors make posts about killers being ######### and it's always somehow the survivors fault.
When killers post toxic survivors they all just come in here and agree how ######### survivors are.
I remember when a killer told me to die end game and killers were saying "no context, you probably deserved it". ?
lmao
its easier to blame the power role

If it's not SWF than there is no such thing like team. And the game is all about second chances, without it it's just not fun.
If the last survivor is not a brainless suicide like those that are given to him by matchmaking, then he should have one last chance, just to make the game a little more spice.
uh... you may not believe me here, but actually those other 3 survivors running around ARE your team, weather you like it or not.
and "one last chance" is already given to you. its called the hatch. its literally your second chance of escaping after failing the objective with your team. and if you fail to use this second chance, you get a THIRD chance to escape by the gates powering.
and you really want ANOTHER ONE?
this owuldnt spice up the game, this would be ridiculous!
-
well, if you wonder what the complains on this forum are about its pretty much what @Mc_Harty said.
however, if you wonder why he is always low on tier lists, thats because his power is bad. he can not utalize it during chases very well, since you wont get survivors past the injured state, which leaves him to be nothing more than a normal M1 killer who gets looped to death while being genrushed. deep wound is also a very unnecessary status effect, since it barely wastes any time and usually requires you to spend more time traveling to and hitting them than for them to remove it and sit back on a gen.
if you were to ask me, why i think legion is bad, i would say its because their power is very straight forward and has no depth to it. you cant mindgame with it, you cant use if for anything besides stabbing one and injuring them quick. same problem as old freddy had, but even he had mindgame potential with his power. honestly, i would wish for a legion rework that adds some depth to him and allows for cool mindgames and different playstyles - what they just did with freddy.
-
i find the title to be pretty misleading tbh.
it makes it seem like thats something EVERY killer would do, yet its just one guy who probaply has had a bad day and then got crushed in DbD and who has a bad attitude afterwards.
not all of us are like that D:
also, a 4 man escape is something very different than "not getting the 4k", since that would mean getting a 3k and then having the last survivor escape...
-
i run the perk on many killers.
the TR decrease is awesome as is, but an increased FoV on top of that?
man i love the perk...
-
uh... you failed to escape with your team, you failed to escape through the hatch and you still get another chance to escape. seriously, i do not see any reason for you to complain at this point.
at some point, the killer just deserves the kill, ya know? he already denied you 2 possible escapes AND finds you before you can utalize your 3rd. that should be more than enough imo.
how many 2nd chnaces do you actually need?
-
i thought killers held the power role...
ye, when the halloweed dlc dropped i already didnt believe in that anymore xD
-
because trapper is fun?
because he is unique?
because we enjoy playing him?
why would you play ANY killer up there other than nurse?
however, de-piping just because i selected a certain killer should NOT be a thing! EVERY killer should be able to get to rank 1. when played efficiently, they should at least have the possibility to do so. for Trapper, the emblem system literally works against him, leaving you with de-pips you did absolutely not earn all the time.
that is fundamentally flawed game design and NEEDS to be adressed!
-
already tried, abused by survivors. the idea got dropped again.
honestly, there are a lot of puishments for camping already, we dont need additional ones.
you should rather think about adding rewards to killers who do not camp / tunnel instead of trying to punish even more.
BBQ is an perfect example. it rewards killers for leaving the hook AND rewards them even more for not tunneling one person down! its such a great perk! (and yet there are many threats out there asking for BBQ nerfs.. sigh..)

Map-wide? Survivors would go berserk on that Add-on.
maybe.
i think the add on synchronises very well with his power though, since survivors would not be able to lower their madness bar anymore, while also allowing the doctor to get better effects on his symptoms, since they would tier up automatically over time.
the big thing is, that the aspect of "the closer you are, the faster your madness goes up" would still remain, so that would also work in the other direction. if you are far away from the doc, your madness would increase very slowly, so you wont scream all the time and you were not forced to constantly snap out of it, unless the doc comes close. this might also give lockers a more frequent use in doctor games, especially if you do not want to be the first one to hit madness tier 1 or you want to stall screaming for a bit.
this would basically be a ultra rare version of the calm add on series, combined with an electrode (the yellow electrode with the charge time of the brown one i believe). it would allow the doctor to clear one of his perk slots (distressing) and therefore mix his build up a little bit. you would also be able to get a very fast start int othe game, since you would immediately know where to look for your targets (survivors hitting tier 1).
for survivors, they can completely counter this add on by simply bringing calm spirit into the trial, which is another point why i believe this wouldnt be too bad.
also, you wouldnt have to run around with a heartbeat in your ears the entire time, since the add on will only make his static field spread out, not the terror radius. so tracking the killer would still be possible like before.
i could imagine this being pretty strong with an impossible skillcheck build doc, but again: the static field =/= the terror radius.
-
ye trapper emblems are horribly broken.
ive had the exact same problem.
you do not get ANY chaser emblem points for trapping survivors and i am pretty sure you also get no malicious points for it, which is ABSURD!
on top of that, gatekeeper is usually pretty bad, since you gotta spend the time creating a setup, which leaves gens unprotected.
honestly, i couldnt get him past rank 3 eigther. its so dumb, yet none of the devs ever said anything about potential fixes in the future! it has been said so many times... and it has been broken for such a long time... its ridiculous!
since trapper is my main killer, i am really pissed about that.
-
its pretty typical for the forum tbh...
first everyone agrees that certain things are broken and need nerfs / reworks and when the devs actually go and nerf / reowrk them, everyone complains.
its the same story as the legion changes .-.
you just cant make it right for some people...
-
so OoO will be the new Decisive Strike?
ye, i can already see all those survivors jumping into a locker and staying there, since they know they are 100% safe in there, even mid chase.
ive seen a kate do it in one of trues latest videos with D strike, and it would really suck the fun out of chases, if you ask me.
there would have to be an activation time, like head on has. in that case, i wouldnt mind it too much tbh.
-
that sounds like a cool idea, yet i think it would be very hard to add tbh.
ive had an idea for ultra rare add ons for killers who dont have any yet (link to the original post down below), and here is what i thought could work for doc:
The Doctor
-Dr. Otto Stamper's File
your static field becomes map wide, steadily increasing the survivors madness. also your shock therapy range gets increased by 50%. slightly increases the time it takes to charge your shock therapy.
(original post: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/31892/new-ultra-rare-add-ons-for-killers-ideas#latest )
-
even more punishment?
there is plenty!
how about rewards for not doing it?
-
discordance.
its such an underrated perk, but it helps MASSIVELY!

I've seen this on a few Billys - but it is tough for the majority to give up one of these: Ruin, BBQ/Chili, Enduring, Spirit Fury
if im honest, i never understood the Spirit Fury + Enduring hype on billy...
i mean, your a billy. you already take care of pallets very easily, why use those two? you sacrifice 2 perk slots for something you by default pretty much have...
i understand ruin (even though im not a fan of it and dthink there are better perks) and obviously BBQ. thats like a must have on billy xD
my personal build is BBQ&Billy, Pop Goes The Weasel, Monitor & Abuse and Discordance (which is also REALLY good on billy)
i might actually Drop monitor for Infectious Fright... its gonna be hard playing with the normal FoV though xD
-
you do know that affects billys chainsaw now?
that is a LOT better than before.
holy #########, this might even be god like on billy... O.O
-
when people DC.
as a survivor it sucks the most, since you get put into a HUGE disadvantage immediately, as a killer it sucks, since i feel sorry for the rest of the team that gets left behind, just because one douchebag decided to quit immediately. i also get put in a big bloodpoint / emblem point disadvantage.
-
i honestly hope he doesnt get big changes...
some buffs here and there would be neat (like his shock range increased by default) or animations actually being interrupted by an succesfull shock (so that the vault animation is canceled after being shocked instead of the survivor just sprinting at the window and then vault it)
but i dont think he is in desperade need of buffs / changes tbh.
definitely no nerfs xD
i think it'll turn out to be nerfs though, as many survivors consider the doc to be "unfun" to go up against (which i can understand for a 3 gen impossible skillcheck build doc) which imo he isnt. his power is unique, he is a cool killer in both idea and design and i just love him.
(yes, i happened to be a doc main at some point. in fact, he was the sole reason for me to return to the game, since when hag got introduced i got a huge burn out with the bully simulator DbD was at that point and quit for several months, until he came out aaand i got hyped and got back into it)
-
the point of the lullaby is, that you do not know weather the killer is. the heartbeat gets more intense and adds some intense music, the closer you are to the killer, the lullaby doesnt.
its ment for freddy to be able to sneak up on you with you being unaware of how close he actually is, so he can get an early first hit on sleeping survivors outside chases.
-
the new freddy is superior to the old version in almost everything.
he has superior map pressure, superior chasing abilities, more depth added to his power (so he is actually a LOT more fun to play) and he can use his power a lot easier than before, aswell as it not being completely luck reliant weather you get to gain usage from it or not.
the only things old freddy could do better were slowing the game down (luck reliant though) and tracking.
and tbh, tracking really isnt meta... chasing is. quick downs - basically to "killrush" the survivors.
-
its literally just an add on nerf / rework.
its like the legion rework .-. everyone agrees something needs to be changed, the devs change it, people start complaining.
sigh...
-
when you are awake, freddys dream traps have no effect on you anymore.
the survivor has no white outline around himself (harder to spot)
you have a 3D heartbeat instead of a 2D lullaby. (the heartbeat gets more intense the closer the killer is, the lullaby always stays the same)
freddys gen teleport will not have a 15% faster recovery speed (he cant teleport around as frequently)
-
then stepping into a beartrap is pretty high for me, BUT
i think the single most satisfying thing is to get a notification that says "500 - game over"
-
lets be honest, the only killers that actually benefit from the aura reading are killers with good map pressure. BBQ&Billy is the strongest combination possible, but BBQ&Sally or BBQ&Phasy also work good.
the only reason why other killers than these high map pressure killers are using BBQ is because of the bonus points.
BBQ has plenty of counterplay added to it, it is greatly balanced out and very fair imo.
if it wasnt so balanced, memes like this one wouldnt exist:
another thing is, that BBQ is ment to encourage killers to leave the hook by showing them a new target to go for. taking away the aura reading aspect (or limiting it) would only encourage camping, which is something no one wants, right?
i get it, this perk can be a lot to handle for newer players, but they also just need to learn the counterplay!
you have lockers, a 40m distance from the hook, mindgames, counterperks, there is a lot of stuff to prevent getting seen by BBQ / trick the killer with it.
-
Unicorn Trapper!
#MakeEvanBeautiful
-
they said they wouldnt want to touch him for the next couple of weeks.
they want to see how he plays out before making any unnecesarry changes. this includes Buffs aswell.
-
survivors ask to nerf anti camp perks
--> survivors encourage camping
--> survivors complain about getting camped
--> devs introduce anti camping perks
and the circle begins again.
-
i personally find the nurses "blink 3 times and grab a survivor" achievement to be the hardest...
might just be because i suck at nurse though xD
-
it is live since tuesday, my friend!
however, since its a killer rework, the lobby waiting times for killers are horrendous!
(very similar to a killer only chapter - everyone wants to try it out themselves)
i would recommend you waiting a bit before you actually try playing killer - at least if you dont want to sit 20 mins in the killer queue...
-
is it the killers lack of skill that activates NOED or the survivors lack of attention payed to totems during the trial?
-
they eigther just rework their add ons, or they better have some GOOD buffs for the other killers in the same patch.
-
@Clopotel said:
@Mister_xD What about making him able to set a trap without picking it up ? This would be extremelly nice especially with the traps that are already in a good spot.
yes, that also sounds good, but when he can carry all traps at once, that wouldnt be very necessary tbh, since he could always just pick it up and replace it immediately.
the whole idea of resetting traps came from when wanting to reset a trap at a good location, but you were full on traps, so you had to put one down, pick the other one up, set that trap and then pick the other one back up, which was a huuuge time waster.
