  • This just pushes this game more into the solo survival 'horror' instead of the coop survival 'horror'. I don't like the idea of getting yourself off the hook in the summoning phase. Maybe instead it could to something like appease the entity, so your second phase on the hook is prolonged by 20 seconds and you only have to mash space bar in the last twenty seconds to fight for your life.

  • "get out of jail and onto a hook" Certainly never heard that one. I would say it's fair game, since they still land on a hook.

Edit: Maybe allow the same circumstances that count for a mori. If a survivor has been hooked, you can mori them with the tombstone even when lying on the ground. That would solve your problem, right?

The thing is... both Dave and Mathieu agreed. At least Dave should have known, maybe? So I think it will change in the future to no longer be a healing action. :p

    @weirdkid5

Neither of those guys even knew what looping is. Mathieu and Dave have no clue about their own game.

It isn't a bug. It was an intentional change in 1.6.2

I know it's not a bug. I just said 'bug' since you are right, they clearly can't recall that they made this change in the doctor update.

  • Honestly thinking of the films themselves, especially the remake, since our dear Freddy comes from that one- I feel like if we take something from the cannon material, then it should be microsleep. That's the most awesome thing I remembered from the movies. The survivors wouldn't even know they are dreaming and stuff... could be a cool mechanic. I had some different ideas for Freddy, but never put them up in the forums.

Oh god.... it didn't occur to me that Clouphobia might affect Snap Out of It. if they fix that to work as we expect, I'm gonna have to rethink my build to include it ><

It probably wont. Especially since they said that Botany Knowledge affecting it is a bug, it will result in neither Coulrophobia or Nurse's Calling to have an effect on Snap out of it.

The whole snap out of it isn’t healing was a mistake said by the new guy on stream, he just wasn’t up on his stuff is all.

  • They will probably 'fix' this 'bug' and make it so it's not considered as healing anymore. So no more Nurse's Calling or Botany Knowledge on the effect.

Yep. The whole chat was confused as they said it.

The "It's a bug" almost sounded like a bad, overrused meme. Boy I was so wrong...

When they 'fix' it, will Nurse's Calling also no longer affect this? Since it would be a bug too!

"Fixed a bug where survivors could enter Madness 2"

We probably shouldn't even be laughing, they might just do that, too. xD

  • When they 'fix' it, will Nurse's Calling also no longer affect this? Since it would be a bug too!

  • Exactly my thoughts, thanks. xD

  • Got any actual feedback on why you think it's not a deserved change? :)

    A killer camped.
    A survivor got mad.

Things are in order in here.
As Tyde said in one of his previous video : Wraith is FULLY INVISIBLE while not moving. If it's not built for a camper, tell me what it is ?

EDIT : I suggest you to watch this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-c3kz80t-Cc He clearly explains his point of view about camping, and got "everyone" (amongst his fans, that is) camped.

The whole point isn't to ruin survivors. The point is to get a strategy to win without running in circles.

Exactly, at some point it just boils down to the Killer having had enough of ring around the rosie. They just wait and make the survivors come to them. I truly understand campers at that point.

The idea is interesting but some maps don't have trees rendering that character useless on those maps. Usually characters need to work on every map. Good start though.

Maybe she can also dig into the ground like a spider? It definitely would have some potential.

  • If they would just have kept the other option, granting the survivor something like a left behind bonus to completing gens and letting the hatch spawn randomly after each completed gen I think it would be fine. But yeah I don't really like this one. Makes Remember me and end game perks mandatory. :/

You're basically asking for a strike.
The last time people tried it, we got threatened of steam account bans. (Yes, not only Dbd)
Tho it was on steam forums, so things might be different here. (I heavily doubt it)

Why would you get banned for a strike? What?
Do we secretly get paid money or something? Something I missed that we HAVE to play and be quiet? ._.

The last time we attempted it on steam, we got (severely) threatened, because a group or an announcement to regroup to boycott a game is strictly forbidden and can actually lead to a steam account suspension.
It's steam policy, so as I said, it may not apply here.

Aight, thanks for telling me. It just seems so weird...

It's actually 850 deviousness for chainsawing.
Imo, chainsawing gives enough points to compensate the slight loss of brutality.

Also, the bonus points in the update only happens for the first few hits you give, if you didn't notice. Repeating the score event will put it back at 300.
Basically, a chainsaw is already 850 + 300 brutality (eventually 500 if it's early game/your first downs), which is kind of enough tbh.

Right diminish returns of scoring events after the first, forgot about those. But still it should give you the 300 for both healthstates. This just feels like another issue that we have with Franklin's Demise. If you want them to drop the item use your M1. Here it's: If you want brutality points use M1. I don't like it at all, in both cases. Franklin's and chainsaw or simple one-hit downs.

  • Going purely by lore, I'm sure there would be a possibility for children to be in the entity's realm. But at the same time, I feel like the Killers themselves would severely question themselves, if they had to murder children for the enitity. Well, of course with some exceptions... it could potentially cause an uproar with the Killers, causing them to fight back once more.

    @YankeeSan said:
Fun fact, guys--while it's not illegal to show the death of children in a video game or film, it does cause the rating to go up and can greatly impact sales. That's why in most games where children can die (Telltale's TWD, Detroit: Become Human, Heavy Rain for examples), its not shown on-screen. On top of that, sales would be impacted in countries with higher censorship laws, such as Australia. It's an issue of morality.

On a lore basis, I like to think the Entity is incapable of eating children simply because they're too hard to catch. Outside of its realm, hope is a repellent, and children are especially hopeful. It's harder for a child to truly despair, even at the worst of times.

Also this sounds interesting, dunnu if the devs confirmed it, but if hope really works as a repellent then children really have an anti-entity-barrier. At least it sounds very plausible.

  • I kind of had been hoping he would be able to prevent window jumps or pallet drops upon a direct hit, perhaps 2,5 seconds like the Doctor can. So a direct hit actually feels rewarding.

  • It's a ptb bug. Lost it too on there, but once I went back to live I had both David's and Huntress's mask back.
