I agree with putting in ping caps where you can’t join a lobby if you have a certain amount. Also letting people see ping in the lobby so they can decide if they wanna stay in or not would be nice but I don’t see them doing that due to fear of it increasing queue wait times.

Dude…. Almost like I said MAKE. IT. AN. OPTION.
You have an issue with it? Hide your prestige.
You don’t? Show your prestige.
In what way is suggesting this “making it all about me.”
My comment was in relation to you saying this “As I said. I don’t get dodged for being p100. Neither do any of my SWF mates. Not an issue for us.”
again it’s not an issue for you or your SWF great but this playerbase is way bigger than you and 3 other people. And tons of people have regardless said this is an issue that they’ve experienced for months.
My issue is not with your suggestion on how to fix it. My issue is with your implication that because you don’t experience it that’s it not a problem. Have a good one.

It was definitely over-nerfed but that’s what always tends to happen when they announce changes to popular perks. They never announce a reasonable change, it’s always taken from overpowered to completely useless and MAYBE they will walk back a few changes before it goes live depending on how vocal the outcry and opinions are.
There were definitely ways to make this perk healthier without totally gutting it the way they’ve announced it to be. But of course killer mains are totally happy with it being gutted because most don’t want survivors to have anything that helps them survive even a little bit. 🤣🤣
In the interest of fairness tho, if a perk is too OP because “all you had to do was be injured” then where is the nerf for Ultimate Weapon where “all you have to do is open a locker?”
MFT worked as long as you were injured but once you healed it was gone. UW only has a cool down for 30 seconds. Meaning once you use it, you get the effects on the survivors for 30 seconds plus info on where they are. Once that 30 seconds of effects ends, you wait 30 seconds then can do it again. In a 15 minute match that means it can be used up to 15 times and all it requires is stopping to open a locker.
If we’re gonna talk about perks that don’t take any skill to use and gives free value, we gotta talk about that one as well.

Why do you assume people dodge lobbies because of prestige ? being p100 doesn't mean you're good at the game lol
Again, I’ve been told countless times that that’s why I get dodged. All you have to do is ask here and on steam forums. Look at the forums and Twitter and reddit. People are very open about dodging P100 lobbies. I have friends I play with where we all have P100 characters and we’ve gotten dodged up to 6 times per match trying to find a killer. Also I’m more than aware that prestige does not equal skill but trying telling other players that. Lmao I’ve had killer mains tell me they assume someone who is P100 has put a lot of time into the game and therefore they’re better players and they will either dodge them or target them to get the “best player” out of the match quickly. Meanwhile I’m here with my P100 and can’t loop for crap. 🤣🤣🤣
There is a lot of evidence out there that higher prestige characters get dodged or targeted because people assume prestige is tied to skill level.

As I said. I don’t get dodged for being p100. Neither do any of my SWF mates. Not an issue for us.
Hear me out. Something not being an issue for you personally does not mean it’s not an issue game wide. Maybe it’s not all about you, especially if others have been reporting something as an issue as well.

Whilst the testing is finished, the analysis of the data and the feedback is ongoing. When a decision is finalised we will definitely let you know.
Thank you. For my personal feedback, I don’t see how seeing prestige in lobby is healthy for the game. Either it leads to lobby dodging which I get frequently when I play my P100 character or I get targeted by the killer for my P100 character. I’ve had killers tell me in end game chat that they “just wanted to see if I could get the P100” or name call me and say things like “Oh big P100 died first! You suck!”
Basically the only thing prestige does is allow for peoples prejudgments and discriminations to take over and affect how they go into the game. There's no inherent value to it and adds to toxic behavior and lobby dodging

Another survivor perk made absolutely useless due to all the whining. And now that this is gone they can turn their attention to crying until Windows gets nerfed. 🤣🤣🤣

Yeah date of action is the date they actually did something. I reported someone for griefing but didn’t get that notification that action was taken until 9 days later.

Am i the only one who thinks WoO is unhealthy for the game. People are so crutched on it they can't play without it. Also people tend to run from pallet to pallet on automode and throw every wood down leaving nothing for others.
I just don't think its a healthy perk. Needs cooldown so people learn to think at least a little.
I play without it in 99 percent of my matches. I only use it if I have a specific challenge it will help with like pallet stun the killer etc.
Many many people can and do play without it, but a lot of people have their fave perks and builds that utilize it a lot. That’s no reason for it to be nerfed just because you think it’s a “crutch.”
If that’s the case let’s nerf NOED and jolt. Those are considered huge crutch perks and jolt is the highest used perk among killers from the last two top used perks they posted.
So if we need to nerf windows based on it being too used and a crutch then jolt should be nerfed as well for the same reason.

WoO doesn't need a nerf so enough of that. I do agree about the rest and they should add ultimate weapon to the list since I'm tired of being forced to use calm spirit to counter a perk thats basically free hunting
Seriously. People complain MFT is unfair because all it takes is “being hurt” while Ultimate Weapon takes nothing but opening a locker. Every one minute the killer can simply open and locker and know where you are and it works for 30 seconds with only a 30 second cooldown.

Adrenaline has been the same for 7 years, sans Freddy release when it woke you up.
People want it changed now because all the other 2nd chance perks were gutted at end game.
Funny how that works, isn't it?
it’s always been this way.
- Complain about survivor perk every day until it gets nerfed.
- Once perk is nerfed, find next survivor perk that helps them survive, complain about that perk every day until it gets nerfed
- Once perk is nerfed, find next survivor perk that helps them survive, complain about that perk every day until it gets nerfed etc etc
They literally just got medkits nerfed, dead hard nerfed, COH nerfed, and now suddenly Windows, toolboxes and Adrenaline are “OP” and unfair. People won’t be happy until all viable survivor perks and items are gone and there’s nothing left so they can easily tunnel everyone out at 5 gens.
Meanwhile tunneling is still untouched.

Whaaaaaat?…. I never knew this!
Yes it does. Time it out yourself and see. I’ve just missed a first stage unhooks becuz of the seconds lost due to the constant spamming of the self-unhook mechanic
-
I just wanna know, do you all realize that flapping your arms like that speeds up your hook timer and puts you into second state faster?
If you don’t, then you should probably stop to give your teammates more time to save you.
If you do and don’t care then I guess, welcome to second and dying faster in the match. 🤷🏼♀️

So question, and Im genuinely curious: if a killer went into a lobby with four identical survivor skins, would this make the tunneling issue more difficult or unaffected?
Thanks!
I think if you’re in a lobby with 4 survivors wearing the exact same skins it’s not on you to be concerned about tunneling. Yes you can try not to if you want, but I also play killer and it’s near impossible to keep track of hook states when survivors do that. Killers don’t have the same hook marks on their HUD that shows how many hooks someone has the way we survivors do, and keeping track based on screen names doesn’t always work when you’re focused on other stuff happening in the match. You don’t know what hook you’re at until you hook.
I was having a chill match with survivors yesterday just trying to finish the killer challenges in the rift and I accidentally killed one of the Bills because there were two of them with the same skin and I couldn't remember how many hooks they each had.
And if survivors are loading into matches as the same character and the exact same skin, they’re doing it intentionally either because they think it’s cute/funny or to troll the killer. In which case, that’s not your problem so just play the game and if they get unintentionally tunneled it then that’s what it is. 😆
Last note: I’ve loaded into solo lobbies as one character and someone else in the lobby switched to my character and my same skin, so I changed my skin to something different and they kept changing theirs to match mine. At which point I just dodged the lobby and found a different match. I’m not getting tunneled just because another survivor is trying to be funny.

Yes and the more salt you are, the more fun i have :)
This is the definition of toxic. “I get joy out of upsetting people let’s go!” Lmao
Youre exactly what people are talking about when they say how toxic this community is. Congrats.

Think about what is going through the killer's mind.
You get unhooked and run toward a dead zone. If the killer does not see you run in that direction they are less likely to check that area because there are no gens to defend. If they do see you, they now have to pursue you at the cost of putting themselves farther away from the gens.
But there's more than that. When they down and put you on the hook for your 2nd state, you're now in the dead zone. This is critical to avoid being tunneled. If you get hooked near where the gens are getting done, you're practically inviting the tunnel because the killer is almost certainly going to be in that area anyway.
If you're hooked away from the gens, the killer now has a lot of ground to cover to tunnel you, then still make it back. This gives the rescuer time to heal you, plus makes it much less likely the killer attempts in the first place. It also makes it less likely the killer will proxy camp, because the killer can't both camp you and defend gens.
Unless you are an elite looper, Windows and MFT are bad strategies to avoid being tunneled (and if you are an elite looper, you want to be tunneled anyway). The killer is going to catch any non-elite looper, especially if they don't give them time to heal. The idea is to put yourself in positions where the idea of tunneling you is extremely unappealing.
I get what you’re saying but if the killer is gonna tunnel you they’re gonna tunnel you no matter where you go. So this advice of running to a dead zone seems silly as you’re just giving them the second down and hook. At least run to some places where you have a pallet and a good wall area to TRY to loop would be my suggestion, but I do agree keeping away from gens to at least help your teammates.

I'm a dedicated survivor main who generally believes this game is much too nice to killers, but with the survivor HUD you can avoid tunneling off hook relatively easy. If there isn't another survivor being chased when you are unhooked, get away from the hook. Sure, they might still come to tunnel you, but you have time to create distance towards a deadzone where chasing after you is a waste of their time (far too many survivors run towards the gens were the killer is all too happy to chase). As the unhooker, don't unhook until you see another chase started or the killer actively move far away.
If the killer is proxy camping, that's more annoying because unless you are in a SWF its hard to communicate, but wait until the very end of the hook state to unhook and hope the other survivors stay on gens.
Also, Off the Record. Even if you lose the endurance the aura hide and quiet effects remain.
If you find yourself unhooking a lot, bring We'll Make It for the very fast heals.
You’re saying if you’re being tunneled off hook to run the killer to a dead zone? I’m confused how this helps you in any way.

It's funny, more and more survivors are using Windows of Opportunity and MFT now. When the devs nerf MFT and probably adjust WoO, killers are going to feast. So many people count on press "w" and run to the yellow thing.
I'm not sure why survivors are just going into muscle memory mode of this is how the game is played, as once it is changed, it will be ugly.
According to BHVR they don’t nerf perks based on pick rate so either they’re not gonna nerf it just cuz it gets more use, or they will nerf it and then we can clearly point to that to show that was BS in which case they will have to acknowledge they they do in fact nerf based on pick rate.

Alright, so lets do some math here.
- Match starts and the killer has Lethal and picks a survivor and decides to hard tunnel them immediately.
- Survivors often spawn on the opposite end of the map as the killer and generally somewhat spread out to take at least 1-2 gens immediately with the 3rd taking a few seconds.
- Average map size is 100x100 square meters, so in order to cross the other end of the map, assuming killer spawns around 16 meters into the map, and objectives spawn around 16 meters into the map, it will take the killer 14.8 seconds to reach the survivors.
- Around 32 meters in the survivors should start hearing the terror radius and should be able to start reacting to them
- Let's assume you have terrible reaction time, and don't start running away for about 3 seconds, meaning the killer is now 22.2 meters away from you.
- Lets assume you are really bad at the game, and don't use any pallets or windows, but just shift +w away
- The killer gains 0.6 meters of distance and needs to get within 3.61 meters to do a lunge at max range.
- It takes the killer 30.9 seconds to hit you.
- You get as peed boost, giving you a distance of 14.4 meters.
- The killer takes 18 seconds to catch up and hit you again
- The killer is in hit animation for 2.7 seconds
- The killer picks you up for 3 second animation
- The killer walks to a hook taking ~10 seconds
- The killer hooks you taking 1.5 seconds for animation
Now, you have been hooked 1 time, and the total match time as been:
14.8 + 30.9 + 18 + 2.7 + 3 + 10 + 1.5 = 80.9 seconds.
Even if the killer stood right on the hook, and you used AFC to unhook yourself, and let the killer hit you twice without moving, and then hooking you again. It would still take another:
7 + 15 + 2.7 + 2.7 + 3 + 1.5 = 31.9 seconds per hook.
How exactly are you "getting tunneled out in 2 minutes with 5 gens remaining? What are you doing to go down so fast? What is your team doing such that after 2 minutes of the killer completely ignoring them they haven't completed at least 3 generators?
Your experiment is already flawed as killers do not always spawn on opposite sides of the map as the survivors. Not how the RNG works. I’ve had killer spawn on top of more times than I can count. It’s common to spawn next to a generator and the moment I touch it the killer is right there due to lethal.
Also keep in mind not every killer has a terror radius. There are stealth killers like Myers, Ghostface, Wraith, Pig.
Lastly, unless you’re a god tier looper there’s no counter to tunneling if the killer is set on tunneling you out of the game. Tunneling takes no skill, no perks, no add-ons to be effective at. And if you’re a sweatier killer who brings IRI instadown add-ons, it’s very easy for the killer to down you within 20-30 seconds into the match, hook you, move back to proxy camp and then come right back to tunnel you off hook.
-
No cuz I still hate playing against her. All they did was make her super oppressive but remove her ability to hold you hostage for an hour. Now she can just take everyone out of the game at 4-5 gens.
-
The game will always be like this until BHVR does something about tunneling. Yes old DS would be nice to have. The entire premise of the game is to be a 4 v 1 so when you give players the means to make it a 3 v 1 at 5 gens, that completely negates the entire purpose of how the game was balanced to be played.
Tunneling can be a strategy but it should be a strategy that has a cost to it snd right now there is no cost. It’s just a free win.
-
Myers definitely needs to have it changed where he can’t tombstone you through the basekit BT. That should still apply as just taking a hit off hook.
Also needs to be fixed with the cenobite add-on. If you’re gonna have an anti-face camping feature certain add ons and moris shouldn’t be able to negate that.
-
As long as tunneling is in the game unpunished, no killers should not get regarded any further. Everyone keeps saying how “if you give the killers X or if you nerf the survivors Y it’ll stop tunneling.” When it’s been shown repeatedly that it doesn’t matter what you give killers, they’re gonna tunnel anyway because it’s a free, no skill, no effort way to win. All you’re doing is making it easier and easier for them to tunnel.
If they punish tunneling and make it ineffective and stop rewarding points, pips and ranking for it then I’d be all in to give killers other buffs and help.
-
I’ve seen it too. People streaming themselves cheating but you can’t report them in game cuz you’re not in the match with them.
