Sorry nothing they can do. They are not clever enough, too lazy, or it eats into the cost of the directors houseboat too much, to come up with anything other than Ban a person if they DC.

Yeah but their different departmants ofcourse they speak with eachother but their ur logic would be like hey art department fix the game
dumb dumb
No, that's not my argument. I'm sorry you don't understand how a business works. BHVR is allocating too many resources to the wrong department and has disregarded a large portion of "dedicated" customer's concerns out of greed for microtransactions and cash grabs.
If you still don't understand that simple concept, please don't reply. I can't dumb it down any more.
Just keep eating the spoofed nonsense they feed you and I'm sure your loyalty will be rewarded. 100% certainty.

There is a bug fix team and a art/creation department chapters have very little to do with eachother what i do agree on is they should fix sound for killer tho
Yeah they only work for the same company on the same game under the same game direction under the same game budget, under the same human resources manager.
They literally have nothing at all to do with each other.

No, you can't lagswitch on dedicated servers, so now that they've been rolled out to all platforms, it's no longer a thing. That person probably didn't realise that their own connection was just bad.
Lag switching is still absolutely a thing. It doesnt work in the on demand way it did, but it does still give an advantage to the killer in most situations.

First of all the game does not "LEGALLY" let you do anything. the TOS says you do not quit the match without using in game functionality (killing one self on hook). to disconnect, or LEAVE MATCH, you MUST leave the game functionality and use menu functionality to leave the match. This is a last resort to if you get stuck where the game can not end (stuck in geometry etc). do not think it's legal anything, the LAW has nothing to do with it, but if you wish to use the term loosely the LAW of the game is the Terms of Service and Disconnecting (rage quitting) is against the game.
If you are stuck in the geometry or the game can't end, you have to dc but at that point you need to submit logs and a ticket for people to look into what happened.

fist of all "suiciding on hook early" is using in game functionality and that is not something that can be reported (or it will be ignored) just as camping and slugging are allowed.

I never disregarded anyone's experience. I even have said that there are people that get hit with this when they shouldn't. but you are the one that is playing into someone's hands... the hands of those that think THEY write the rules, the ones that say killers can'ti camp, can't tunnel and that it is bad bad bad and I'm disconnecting because i don't like it. this is a tantrum like a 5 year old throws when they DC, and this hurts the game it causes people to stop playing. The devs wrote the game, they wrote the guidelines/rules/ToS that you agreed to when you downloaded the game. I gave my experiences to show that not everyone is crashing, or having issues like this as the people that don't have issues end up not complaining on the board about not having issues. this game is played 100's of times an hour across the world. you don't see everyone here messaging. ALSO I never said I do and thus why I said when there is a crash like that we should submit logs so that the DEVS can look into it and then perhaps find the part of the program causing this. I am not the problem, you are because you don't want to help improve the game, you only want the game your way and your way alone. If that is what you want go to play a single player game and forget this one. even in a single player game you can't get around their in game rules hahah!
so you respond with a huge, long rant bringing things up that I didnt even mention, then again, bring up the ToS and that we have to play the game the way the devs tell us and so on and so on.
I'm guessing you're still having most of your things bought by your parents. Tell ya what, lets finish this conversation when you start having to pay for things yourself.

honestly this made me laugh my arse off. why? because I don't have this and i rarely have issues with my connection and software. I'm sorry you have issues but what I love is that people talk about ALL the innocent "BANS" out there. this is not something that is big if it happens a few times. if it starts happening more I'd look to more reasons why the software crashed and submitted to behavior to look at to see what they can see for those. the next thing you need to do is look to your network connections, because there are a great many things more than their software, your computer and the dedicated servers. If you submit those logs, perhaps they can see hey it is because of X and we can put this to rest finally. Mostly people whine here without submitting logs, not all but most. Lets stop the blame game and start helping each other and behavior out by doing what the END USER is supposed to do.
It's human to think "our own experience" is the end all be all of everyone in the world. You don't have access to their support system. You don't have access to the game code, or likely have the experience to know what you'd be looking at if you did, and you certainly don't understand how you are playing right into the attitude the devs want their customers to have.
In the end, you are screwing over your own fellow gamers by disregarding experiences that "aren't your own". Congratulations for being one of the fortunate ones that doesnt have to suffer the ineptitude of the developers at a cost of being blocked from using a product they paid for.

You have no obligation to save someone at that point, but I wouldn't expect to make many friends if you don't. You'd be taking full advantage of the teamwork to get you to that point, then abandoning the team the second they stop benefiting you. You can play it however you want, but it's a selfish move and people will recognize it as one. If you're alright with that, you do you.
yeah, and then 90 % of the time after you make the save, the guy you saved just runs straight out the exit gate. Once that happens to you, as a solo q, 5-6 times, especially with this toxic community, you learn to just roll. The killer has no purpose other than to camp the hook once the gates are powered. Too many of one would mean that one team likely outnumbers the other team, even if just a minor outnumbering.
No. If your house is burining down and the fire department shows up, and there are 10 firefighters who are struggling to contain the fire, and you see 5 police chiefs standing talking to reporters, I'm sure at the point, you'd agree they have TOO MANY police chiefs and NOT ENOUGH firefighters.

Hope this mmr fixes everything! Because I’m sure it won’t the whole reason low rank killers are getting matched against high rank survivors is because of the lack of high rank killers, how do you think an mmr is supposed to work? There’s gonna be way more survivors with a high score than killers with a Even score, truth is that a mmr isn’t gonna fix #########, maybe they should look at WHY the majority of the game doesn’t want to play killer.
Don't worry. After their MMR update, everyone is the same rank. By MMR update I mean when they add this single line of code and call it a day.

Who said ANYTHING about "outnumbered" I said TOO MANY of one and NOT ENOUGH of the other.
Completely different!

How do you know that they have so many more art designers than bug fixers? Bug fixing, i would think, takes longer than making cosmetics. So cosmetics would pop out faster than the bug fixes. I am also not saying your wrong with dead hard, it would be nice if it got fixed. But some people adapted to it by doing it early to gain a distance, that's their way of using the perk.
with the current garbage condition of the game, if they have a single designer, it's too many. literally 0 money should be put into a new content, even if it crushes the finances of BHVR. It's out of control at this point.

They have separate teams for those things, typically you wouldn’t have your cosmetic designers fixing bugs or your bug fixers making cosmetics.
I love when people say that. How about wording it like yeah they have TOO MANY comestic designer developers and NOT ENOUGH core game developers. The underlying issue is priority, regardless of the current situation.

I know what you are gonna say "Dont dc its not fair dor your team" blah blah but ive dced twice this week once monday and once today and they have stacked to a 15 minute ban! Which I think is way too harsh when I have only dced twice over a week and can understand it getting harsher the more you dc but it seems insane that 1 dc is around 6 minutes of ban and a second ALMOST A WEEK LATER still stacks to a around 15 minute ban.
I've played thousands of games and DC'd only when the killer is too laggy to play against or there is a game halting bug. I've also DC'd when the game crashes, which it's done in the past on certain versions and on certain driver combinations, and will certainly come up again. Neither are in my control yet because they can't come up with a better way to counter DC's such as bloodpoint awards, game mechanics being changed etc., I have to pay for the toxic immature kids they are catering to more and more??
For BHVR to presume their game is anywhere near a polished enough product to punish people in situations that are completely out of one's control is arrogant and a real slap in the face of their customers.
It says A LOT about the people that run this company.

Twice in my last match, I had a grab. I saw the animation for the grab going through, then nope. It's turns into a hit. And once, it was a hit on the hooked survivor, so I was doubly cucked. I know killer issues aren't all that important (a.k.a. the sound bug), but come on. If I'm going into a grab animation, then something is registering correctly.
They put a precise game mechanic in a game and then doubled the latency by adding dedicated servers. Unless both you and the killer have less than a 40ms ping to the server, each, there is no way they can fix the grab mechanic. It's simple laws of physics.
Just another issue being swept under the rug and ignored.

The PTB released like, days ago.
I remember when Ghostface and Demogorgan were considered low-tier killers. Demo in particular didn't get much recognition until many months after his own PTB released. Now people, at least from what I've seen, appreciate the Demogorgan more as a killer.
Ghostface was similar but I feel like he's gotten some good recognition too. He was seen as terrible when he first released.
I personally feel like Deathslinger is going to take the similar route. Everyone is going to think he's a terrible killer until months after his PTB is done and over. He'll get some quiet changes, and is passed over until people realize he's more viable than people claimed to be.
I'm not going to claim he's the most viable. I don't think anyone claims that of Demogorgan either. But he won't get any proper appreciation until much later.
What? Ghostface doesnt even work! Have you played as him or against him? Dedicated servers broke the stalk mechanic (*but hey hitboxes RIGHT??? LOL)
He is "Unfinished / erroneous lines of code" and nothing more.

yeah I'm getting it intermittently, we have no word yet on whether it's going to be a temporary matter or a permanent one - as soon as I know more I will update you all.
can you guys just stop tinkering with the forums already? They've changed like 2-3 times, drastically in the last year when there was no valid point to.
IT tinkerers are the worst. Just knock it off already. There are plenty of other ways to be a forum admin other than changing the theme to whatever mood you're in that week!

I mean seriously? No terror radius and impossible to hide from. And a ridiculous distance of 32 meters.
Might as well just let him kill everyone on first hook as well, match is over before it started.
The poster should have created a thread titled "T1 Myers is Unfair if you don't know how to loop a killer, even on the most basic of levels"
Seriously, T1 myers is a joke. There are 2 maps he has a slight chance on. Any other map and you will get ran for 5 gens by even a novice / new survivor.
PWYF is a must but even that in most cases by the time you get your 3 stacks and are at 120 speed, 3 or more gens are done and you'll waste the other 2 gens getting your first down.
#HeHasNoBloodlust for pete's sake.

Lithe and Balanced are escape perks. They aren't there to extend loops, they're there to help the survivor get away. DH will be receiving improvements for dedicated servers, at the moment it's just a legit "second chance" perk.
Sprint burst is crutch as hell I give you that. Free loop everytime.
Head on, survivor has to stay still to use it. Doesn't extend loops nor does it interrupt mindgames.
all of the perks are there to extend a chase. I'm not going to get bogged down with word games. Of them all, as a killer, DH is the one I'll wish the survivors use EVERY time. Rank 1 killer with 1500 hours (about 500 as killer), btw.
Also, I can guarantee you, 100....no...1000% DH will NEVER work on dedicated servers on all but the lowest of killer survivor / server combinations. If a killer has a ping of 100, and survivor has a ping of 100, there is a 200ms delay between the 2 clients in the BEST case scenario. Factor in jitter and hardware / input latency and ANY critical timing action, (to which this entire game is based), will not work.
It looks like BHVR has increased the matchmaking threshold to 150ms also, (which I don't think they told anyone), to speed up matchmaking. 150 ping to the server on both sides makes this game unplyable for any high skill player who is accustomed to better response times from gaming in 2020, as they should.
-
DH has not worked right since dedicated servers were forced on us. Sprint burst is the new meta. DH's only use is distance now. You sound like a killer who's never played survivor and tried to use DH on the ded servers. Once a killer is within maximum lunge range the command to activiate DH rarely registers before the killer's hit does. You get exausted, your client recognizes the ability was activated, but you still take a hit. It's only use is for distance now if you mess up a loop. It adds less distance between you and the killer than any other exaustion perk so why would ever ask for a nerf. I'm glad when a survivor DH's. No head on, no sprint burst, no BL which all give you a much larger gap to close.
