It all started with F13: The Game.
I met a lot of people on there and they also played DbD. Naturally I joined them with it! I started palying between the releases of Huntress and Leatherface.
Funny how a competing game brought a lot of new players to DbD 🤔

and Keys soooo...

The blood point offerings besides Cakes/Puddings/BPS are a filler for the bloodweb and mostly pointless.
As an example, Fragrant Bog Laurel Costs 5,000 to buy from the blood web (100% More in Objective), so even if you max out Objectives (8.000) you're only getting 3,000 more BP
8,000 + 8,000 - 5,000 (The Cost of the Offering) = 11K
Additionally,
Bog Laurel Sachets are only 50%, but at a cost of 3,000
So 8,000 + 4,000 - 3,000 (The Cost) = 9,000
With the way the offerings work there's actually cases where it costs you for the offering and using it wont obtain you the points back you spent to have the offering, they're silly, they should remove the 50/75% ones and give survivors/killers more items/addons/100% offerings on the web instead.
Such a flawed system. I wish they would rework them already! I'd rather get more addons, items, and more useful offerings than these. Especially the brown ones.
Not only that, luck offerings are more than useless right now too.
Hopefully there will be some sort of overhaul to the offering system soon!

My hype for the perk completely died when the Legion nerf in terms of synergy got announced.
It's a great perk when you're in the middle of a Jungle Gym chase, but I still wish that Legion would have synergised with it (Legion is behind Clown as the worst killer in the game now).
Not really a perk you can use on its own though, you have to have a combo to work with it which immediately eats up two perk slots that aren't Ruin.
Nemesis also only works if a Survivor stuns you, and you could in fact go a whole game where a Survivor never even stuns you.
I mean, disagree that Legion is worse than Clown, but can't deny that doctor is the worst in the game at high ranks (stomps low ranks). But, you have a very pessimistic approach to the perk. PWYF and Nemesis and maybe even Dark Devotion can play for some fun time on killers like Myers, Hillbilly, Ghostface.
Is it good though? Not too sure. I saw OhTofu try a build with it on Myers and it looked really fun actually!

imma ask a question
how many people, who lived in the days when most games you had to grind, complain about grinding
I'm not asking for the game to no grind, but having 1.5k hours in the game and only 6 characters prestige 3 maxed is not a lot. Just asking for a bit of extra bloodpoints to be earned with each match.
I feel like you are trying to compare it to an MMO which grinding is EVERYTHING. Arena style games don't need to be grindy, but I don't mind grinding either.
I mean, who doesn't love a little extra bloodpoints?
-
Though I'm a firm believer of Moris and keys needing nerfs due to their cheap escapes/kills, I do like the idea for the meantime till there is an update to them.

40k for a perfect game sounds like a decent amount
It does, I feel as if that actually doesn't seem high at all. I guess when u take into consideration BP bonus offerings it looks good, but that's IF you get a perfect game.

Legion is overrated lorewise. His backstory is incredibly cringe and edgy. The cosmetics are very bland and basic imo. The power nearly killed the player base and is god awful bad and underwhelming.
I can only see legion being appealed to by some of the creepos that do NSWF art about Susie.
Personally, I think Legion has some of the coolest cosmetics. I mean ngl, Jeff also has an edgy backstory.

I agree that solo needs buffs. But I'm against the proximity chat and seeing other people's perks. It might sound good in theory, but it won't work well.
It's better to buff solo with other means.
We just need more information on the HUD: who is being chased, who is being healed, who is working on gens, who is opening the gates etc. Might also add a progress bar to some of these icons, similar to the healing progress bar near the survivor icon when he is downed.
Fair enough, but at the moment we do have some things people haven't realized. When a killer picks up a survivor in dying state their name glows. The same thing happens when a survivor is healing another downed survivor.
But, I do agree with you. Solo survivors need more information to be up to par with SWF

Jeff is a daddy, and it's hard to pick between him or camo pants, shirtless David 🤤

I agree, the emblem system rewards killers whose powers match with what the system gives. Legion and Freddy are really easy killers to pip with, but killers like Plague and Myers? They are punished for using powers or some cases addons (Myers predominantly). The generator emblem is also problematic for killers like trapper and hag, who require setup. Hopefully, some changes are coming for these killer especially.

@S_Panda said:
But unlike the plague's infection you can remove the spawning of blood orbs...
In seriousness if you're mid-chase you're not likely to juke any killer and if you're in the situation where you're likely to be found you're better off running as soon as the killer nears: they may be faster than you but using the oni as an example, every second of distance ahead of him you are it takes ~6.5 seconds for him to catch up. Add in a pallet somewhere and he wasted at least 25 seconds just to close the distance if it's a safe pallet.
I like that we have a mixture of killers to force different playstyles. After I faced the plague a few times I stopped playing as heavily stealth as I have been (and I'm moving towards the meta build slowly). We have the spirit/nurse who reward you stealthing/juking them and the plague/oni who deny it.
I totally agree. Most people like to slap on one build and think it should be viable in every case. Oh, you brought botany, we'll make it, and a medkit against a plague? That is extremely unfortunate. But said build would be very good against someone like Spirit, Ghostface, or Oni which healing is important against them.
-
100% agreed, dead hard is painful right now. Not only that, but exhaustion addons shouldn't be common or uncommon quality since they can cancel out an entire perk with little to no effort. (I'm looking at you Huntress and Clown)
-
I do like some of the changes here, but the the crouch and dash doesn't need a change really. It makes her second ability to be ghostfaces but with a dash, survs can't break you out, and increased movement speed. The addon changes look alright, but the ruleset one is just going to be not viable since anyone knowing you're running it will just immediately take off the helmet without worrying of it blowing they're heads off.

A good solution for the emblem and BP problem would be another emblem, where all points are merged, that are too much in other emblems. Easy solution for the 2k balancing strategy and additionl BP for everyone.
That emblem idea isn't too bad! Personally, it needs to be relooked at, since it punishes certain killers for using their powers effectively (Plague especially). But the extra bloodpoints I'm sure is in need since of how grindy this game can be, I know it won't do too much change, since it isn't too easy to max that category, but it would be nice!

CURRENTLY dead survivors get an action speed reduction of -100% so...i dont know how much more thana can do to them.
lmfao I worded that terribly 😂, but u know what I meant

Since nurses are blinking way less than they used to, thanks to nerf (rework), it would be nice if +250 / +150 points for blinking got raised a little bit.
Maybe +300/+200 or +350/+250.
Give us few remaining nurse players some love, please.
Have a nice day.
I agree, her deviousness category needs some love. It's weird how some killers get mega points (Doctor, Legion, Hag), where others get close to none/ hard to get (Pig, Nurse)
-
You trying to "bump" your thread isn't going to help your case. The buffs you demonstrated would make all these perks meta because of the number values you demonstrated. Most of the perks here are balanced and just because they're balanced, it doesn't mean they need to be overpowered like you evidently think they should be. Not trying to sound agressive, but these buffs are ridiculous.
-
The main problem with skill checks, is that they are a lousy means to make the game more interactive. At high ranks, it isn't common to miss skill checks and in most cases skill checks are very survivor sided. The whole skill check system needs to bring some sort of interactivity to the game. :/

Just a heads up: His speed is capped at 130% and he have no reduced cooldown after hitting a healthy survivor. I do agree with you with the speed tho. Maybe i would make that he could only have a 10% speed bonusbag maximum
Oops, I misread! Yeah, I feel like Legion is that weird character that is hard to balance certain aspects of him without making him utterly broken.

I think my response applies more to solo. I can see how with a good SWF group it’s a useless counter.
I get that, it is more "meh" as a solo in contrast to a premade SWF, but still very strong and allows for cheap escapes, that can no longer be interrupted by the killer. Also, plunderers gives high chances to obtain them.
-
I feel like Legion isn't in such a bad spot as people like to assume. His changes make him less annoying, but he still can snowball games. The movement speed passive you mention would be very very very problematic. No killer should ever be granted 135% ms especially if they can hit someone and with a reduced cooldown hit them again for a free down. That's not even taking STBFL into consideration... Though, I don't agree with your changes, I do feel like Legion is in need of some sort of buff to make him more viable.
-
I don't think it would have really much of an impact. Not only that, it doesn't fit the theme of the perk. I feel like stridor is in a good spot. Really nice on killers like Spirit and Oni. Also, it counters Iron Will, which is a really strong perk atm.

Keys have a counter: Franklin’s. I’m trying to get the deplete 3 keys challenge and I’m struggling cause 4 matches in a row now killer has had FD. I think they see my key in the lobby and equip FD.
Franklins is a lousy counter to keys. It will take 10 hits at rank 3 to dully deplete it, as well as it can picked back up if dropped. Not only that, even if you die, the other survivors can pick up your key. That last part alone is especially abused in SWF teams.
-
Moris have quite literally no counter. I mean you can say “don’t get hooked”, but that sentence is just trolly. With a Mori, you can tunnel and don’t have to worry about DS. Not only that, but you get such little blood points in a with a Mori on both sides. However, it’s not like killers are the only winners here, keys have literally no counter either. Both of them grant cheap kills/escapes that are problematic for what DbD is today.

Tell me how I needed Ruin please in this 12 minute game where they got 2 gens done. I'm tired of people acting like Ruin is the only option available to anyone. Some people dont rely on it because they no longer need it or realized relying on it and making excuses is a handicap on yourself.
Btw not a Trapper main and yeah I have Ruin for him.
As Trapper, corrupt will be just as good, since you need to setup. And since corrupt and ruin have awful synergy (they won’t be on gens, so more time for looking for totems), it makes sense why you did so well.
-
@ALostPuppy said:
A flat % increase in gen times for every dull totem on the map was an idea I had (and also a totem counter for both survivor and killer would be nice to go with it.) Maybe 10% per dull totem? So the match will usually start with 50% gen speeds and will gradually get faster as more people break totems and killers won't have to book it to their ruin totem if it was on the other side of the map which happens way too much.
So survivors can do gens at around the same speed without it being the most tedious experience in the game and killers won't need to babysit their hex at the beginning of the game
This is a really cool idea!! I mean, you’d get the notification that they have ruin, and would make the rng a lot less annoying since it doesn’t affect skill checks. Also, the perk moving from a hex to base perk would also be lovely. But would still have synergy with Hex:Thrill of the Hunt.
-
The only perks here that need buffing here, are Thana and Unrelenting. The only really viable change for Thana, is making the perk affect dead survivors as well, but unrelenting is probably one of the worst perks in the game rn (right beside Monstrous Shrine). Unrelenting affecting successful attacks, would be problematic due to STBFL, I don’t think any survivor wants to go against a machine gun m1 killer. However, those buffs to ruin and nurses did give me a little giggle
-
Meg cosmetics suck, except for the one that looks like Cahla 😁
-
Lithe obviously isn’t up to par with other exhaustion perks, but if it were to provide a small buff when you are not exhausted, like increased vaulting speed by 15%, it would make it a lot more viable. The buff will really only provide you with being able to proc it more effectively, since the increased vault speed wouldn’t be taken into consideration whilst exhausted.
-
Well, that’s one thing I can agree with you on lmfao

Not only are they difficult from DCs; getting to the point that it is end game collapse is pretty difficult..depending at what rank and if its swf obviously. Frankly the challenge itself just supports either playing poorly, or just playing like a bully and is not much fun for either party..
Also, hi, it’s been awhile
