It's always so interesting seeing the vast range of complaints people have about the game. Some survivors complain about being tunneled, others complain about not getting chased often enough. I've recently seen people complaining about survivors sticking on gens; by contrast this thread expresses frustration with survivors who would rather spend time off gens trying to deny hooks.
All of those complaints are super valid, btw. You're not obligated to change your opinion just because someone who's not you has a different opinion. It's also just super fascinating to see the ways in which those complaints manifest
Before you could realistically deny most flashlight saves with good camera placement. Now that flashlight saves are insanely easy + background player exists there is basically nothing you can do. Unless a survivor goes down right next to a wall & isn't on a pallet it's out of your hands if they get saved with that perk existing.

@Pulsar said:
Honestly would rather them kill off both perks so I can stop listening to people say it's the only reason they're losing games. I understand that isn't what you are saying, but I'd really rather get it over with.
You directly lose games to it though lmao. If someone gets hit with FTP + Buckle up there is nothing you can do besides accept that both survivors get away because one pressed a button.
-
Would be nice if people stopped vpning to NAE in general. 75% of the time someone is mass slugging and afking or hard tunneling it's a SA player on 200+ ping.
-
Killer is fine atm no complaints besides a few gimmick survivor perks that have little to no counterplay (background player builds). People that didn't play 3-4+ years ago really dodged a bullet with survivor balancing.

@Slowpeach said:
Really wish they would remove hook suiciding outside of guaranteed escapes. Just allow people to disconnect without penalty while on hook or being slugged. Bot replaces them game is less ruined.
Having a bot on your team is gg just force them to eat the penalty and not play the game. If you're going to baby rage quit you can eat the penalty and go play a different game for a while.

Well, actually, I don't think there are many people who can afford to turn around during a chase. Only when we can do this will we be able to stand on the stage where we can fight against the Unknown, but the hurdles may be high.
If you're not looking behind you 75% of chase then every killer is harder to play against
-
Adrenaline's nerf is a long time coming surprised it outlived DS DH IW
-
- Load up DBD
- Play days after new killer release
- Don't know how to play against him
- Go complain on the forum people are only playing a new killer because he's op
-
I really don't think a bug that's so situational you need a backpack build to exploit it is worth killswitching over
-
Huntress:
- faster with less arc when charged some
- 10 hatchet basekit
- guaranteed health state if you land it with pretty generous hitbox
- basically no cooldown besides reloading
- 110%
Unknown:
- 7s cooldown
- does no damage unless you've been hit once
- 3 second window to land the shot if they're looking at you
- slows you down some
- 115%
- very occasional teleport without too much control when it's placed
Yea I'm sure unknowns power is too op because you can't turn around

This is vile behavior, but what is the correlation between the Unknown and transphobia?
They're basically insinuating that trans women look like a deformed monster in a dress

Idk about you guys from NA, but here in SA you can`t play as a survivor, there is a lot of killer being toxic like always tunelling survivors, camping hooks or using cheats (like a 20 hours account from steam with p100 wesker...) and i`m afraid... i waste a lot of time and money while playing dbd and i feel toxic killers and cheat killers will kill the game if behavior dont do something...
In my last 50 games i think only 1 killer dont tun or cheat and this is very sad bc i really love this game but you simply cant play as a survivor
Dude look at this #########: https://streamable.com/x3b9by
sorry for the bad english.
I get a lot of SA killers on NA vpning very unfun experience and they definitely have interesting playstyles like mass slugging then going afk

Personally I feel like Mori kills should also count 😒
I think the yellow mori for last survivor actually works for the achievement
-
Lightborn is a pretty terrible perk, but i can see why people run it with background player + flashlight timing being made baby mode easy with little counterplay.
-
Survivors would be forced to cleanse through TOTH every match a hex is there because devour would end the game consistently. Also pentimento is a perk that would make this problematic.

Nurse is hardly the most popular killer to run mangled. I get more blink recharge than that addon. The most popular killers were basic m1 killers. When's the last time you saw a wraith without Sloppy? Pig? Dredge? Come on.
Nurse's mangled addon is insanely broken. Sloppy nurse is way too strong since she gets tags so freely and was a great perk before the mangled buffs even. Also recharge is long gone

Every killer on the forums is high mmr. 🤣🤣 They just all happen to be in the top 5% no big deal bro.
There is no top 5% the soft cap means average joe that's decent at video games is already there after playing for a while. It's nearly impossible to get below the cap once you're there as well.
-
It's in line with stuff like locker saves where there is no counterplay from the killer. It doesn't happen that much, but having someone barely escape because you can't interact with them is silly.
-
Evil incarnate because survivors will do anything except give u a simple achievement and not much you can do about it
-
tl;dr there is no way to stop proxy camping without it being abused/unfairly punishing the killer. Hooks need a massive overhaul if you want true anti camp.
-
Better than billy pre buff where you're an m1 bot that needs bamboozle to maybe get a down if you're really really good at m2
-
always 4x more people than killer experiencing any given match. THESE are the players you should be catering to
I'm sure sitting in queue for 10+ minutes would be a lovely experience for them just to go against the few remaining killers who are guaranteed to be sweating for the win. Not sure if you played dbd a few years ago but survivor queues were miserable.

Um, are you implying she is going to be almost as good as Spirit? While yes she felt better to use in chase during the PTB to say that she is going to be significantly better seems unlikely
Obviously she won't reach spirit's level, but think about ambush vs slice and dice that has a long cooldown. This is stacked on top of her natural slowdown that didn't even get the nerf it was going to receive.
-
It's good against the top tier killers and amazing against m1 killers you really can't go wrong forcing this offering every match
-
If survivors get amazing rng like shack window -> jungle gym window/i tile or shack window -> i tile -> jungle gym window it's the worst m1 killer map on the game. If survivors don't get amazing rng after the rework it can go either way based on killer.
-
The killer is either playing a killer that can't deal with the main buildings and has no mobility or is playing nurse and hooks someone center map and holds blink.
-
Some of the window spawns can be very problematic

I find it interesting that even though they reverted the Pig's RBT timer they still seem to think Pig is going to be too strong based off how they worded it in the update, in all honesty Pig is probably still going to be meh at best
I don't think you realize how problematic pig's ambush will be. Her ambush movement speed is only a few % slower than spirit's phase movement speed. It has no turning or visibility restrictions. It's faster to enter ambush, it lasts longer, and the cooldowns for hitting/missing survivors are less. Ambush also doesn't have a power meter whatsoever making it spammable. On top of this they reverted the nerf to her passive slowdown.
This is ignoring addons like workshop grease/last will that make her chase power even better.
-
@BugReporterOnly said:
I just lost a kill because of this . Deliverance and 4% should not be in ecg.
Deliverance is its own monster that is only held back by solo queue. 4% needed to go a long time ago and luck perks/offerings can finally become useful.
-
@Coffeecrashing said:
The timer change wasn’t important. Pig being unable to see box auras massively reduces how interactive her power is. BHVR wants her power to be “press a button to place a trap, then go do something else, because we want to discourage Pig from trying to interact with survivors that are trying to remove their trap”
And the chase “buffs” don’t really help. We can’t honestly allow an M2 power like Pig’s ambush, actually be useful, because the skill required to use ambush is like zero, because she has full unrestricted mobility and sight during her power.
Yea you compare pig's m2 w/ ambush addons on ptb to chucky's long cooldown power and it makes you think. She will be oppressive in chase for sure.

@FrenchBagels said:
No need, because the Huntress changes barring the move speed were needed.
Basekit Infantry Belt is such a good QoL and wind up helps with tiles in indoor maps. Overall great change and the devs should do something similar with Dredge if they’re not touching the locker spawns.
Basekit infantry belt is more than "QoL" for sure considering it was one of her best addons. It's not going to be realistic to dodge 7 hatchets basekit.

I'm struggling to think of loops that Blight can't get hits on honestly, even short pallets he often just puts you in a 50/50 and in reality with his speed and turn radius it's usually more of a 60/40 in his favor.
Blight is guaranteed hits at almost every tile in the game you can't greed against him. The % of blights that can actually play at that level very small though. They don't want to alienate people from playing him even more so they won't make him 110%.

@sinkra said:
All it did was make campers more effective campersby making them patrol the surrounding area while still being in range to immediately hit anyone going for an unhook. The bar also fills up too slowly for it to be of use, I've never reached a full bar even when the killer is running back and forth in front of me. This is such an easy problem to fix. Simply make the radius larger and make the bar fill up faster when the killer is withing range.
Basekit bt, anti camp mechanic, and no more hook grabs. These mechanics aren't to stop camping because there is no way to do it without it having a chance to unfairly punish the killer. They do one thing though is that 95% of the time you're guaranteed to 1 for 1 for an unhook since the killer has to proxy from further. Camping isn't overpowered the strategy to play around it just isn't viable in solo queue.
-
It's the other way around solo queue should be brought up to swf level

If every loop had massive S-curves or were like the c-shaped hay bale loop on farm maps or Yamaoka/Ormond maze tiles, then I could agree with the argument of him being map dependent. Since nearly none of the maps have ALL loops designed that way, then I see no good reason for Blight to remain 115. Huntress has strong(short) and weak(tall) loops, and the mere existence of some loops being weaker for some Killers doesn't mean we should let the excessively strong Killers keep their excess strength from the norm.
They keep blight like he is because he's hard to play (for the average player). They've only just now touched his addons which made him insanely powerful. I don't see a 110% blight anytime soon because it would alienate a lot of their playerbase.
-
Blight can actually avoid the issue by flicking down as you swing and it only works when he's going down stairs/ramps
-
There is a pretty silly strat that works if 2+ people don't grab a tape instantly. You can spam teleport to tv's and they will never get a chance to even grab a tape to remove their condemn. Then hit them endgame with noed + nwo or use some chase perks to kill someone early while everyones focused on removing their condemn when you finally stop blocking tvs.
-
He's very strong especially on pc where you can do an entire 180 flick

And Wesker too, and who follows him? Executioner, Hag,
Artistand Xenomorph. Then 2 steps further: Nemesis.I find it peculiar that killers with unique gimmicks consistently rank among the top performers compared to others. What are your thoughts on this?
I've been going through a Game Design book since yesterday because I wanted to determine if I could confidently say that 'All the Killer's Powers teach you how to play against them.' Upon reviewing what Dead by Daylight does for a new player concerning those killers, it doesn't convince me that bHVR has done enough in that regard. While I lack the research or broad insight to definitively state this as the case.
2nd Question, Do you think the current game does enough to adequately inform players to gimmick powers?
3rd Question, if you are a new player, tell us if you have hardships learning to play vs Killers.
Solo queue is already inefficient so add objectives sending you across the map and gen progress slows down. Stealth is also an important factor for higher winrates against solo queue/low mmr.
-
Her basekit power lets her be an invisible 176% killer with free movement why do you think she's 110%? I can see blight becoming a 110% as well, but there is a reason why she's 110%.
-
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
And how you will finish game when only one survivor left? At this point, sitting on gen as last survivor will be just suicide. So if you have fair solution, please tell me
If you don't work on a gen a certain amount in x amount of seconds you're revealed in some way. Punishes people who afk in a locker and if you're actually trying to progress the game some you will be fine.
-
Average users regurgitate that DS is somehow a terrible perk just because it doesn't always guarantee value. If you know what you're doing DS can buy an insane amount of time for your team to do gens.
-
True it's not fun going against South American players who hit me 2 seconds after vaulting and slug me
-
End the match fast because it's basically pointless for everyone else maybe tiny bit of farming
-
Either way BHVR needs to let things settle before making any changes. People have been playing against old billy for years and now he has all these new additions that can throw people off.
-
Very sad if this perk gets nerfed because of what I'm guessing is an unintended interaction
-
Except they gave him even more tools for brand new players to 4k lol

I literally don't play survivor anymore because of Blight. He's not fun to play against.
They didn't fix hug tech, who knows why, they wouldn't say anything in the dev stream even though people were spamming the chat. 🤷♂️
Because fixing hug tech is as simple as mashing a keyboard on the forums. It exists because of his underlying code and it's clear they don't want to break him by removing it.
