Go watch that and ask yourself if that add-on is too much.
This is the same killer a dev says is underrated and actually very strong, lmao.

Hoarder is useful to find the person who got the box and Franklins makes them drop it so you can pick it up and start Chain Hunt. When Chain Hunt is active it's basically impossible to do gens, so someone has to find the box again, and it basically starts a cycle of never-ending Chain Hunts.
It's kind of obnoxious to go against though, and I'm almost 100% sure the devs will make Hoarder not work on the box at some point.
-
Why even get rid of optional content? Even if you don't want to pay for the Premium track, just do the challenges to get some extra BP and earn free skins.
-
As a PC player I think it would be fair to have a console only crossplay tbh. Playing this game on a controller is a huge disadvantage already (mostly due to BHVR's fault of not knowing how to optimize it), and last gen people are being screwed by the devs incompetence by not knowing how to optimize the game on machines that already run games like Elden Ring and Warzone.
Queues for us were better before crossplay anyway. The PC pool had a good ratio of survivors and killer players, but after it the survivor queues skyrocketed, probably because there's very few people playing killer on console.

Wrong because then everyone feels safe healing and keeps running to the totem and resetting instead of just grinding out the gen, and it's only insanely fast if someone is healing you or you made your build around it , even then you're wasting time by resetting meanwhile someone is keeping the killer busy and using resources, the more you reset the more safety you lose and if the killer snuffs that totem you're spending a whole damn gen to go to the totem, rebless and then reset, people can play how they want but it doesn't change the fact that it makes you inefficient and too much time is wasted
Resetting is never a waste of time if you do it correctly. It literally gets rid of all the pressure killers have.
Also boons cover a large area, stop pretending you have to run an insane distance to get to them. 2 boons can effectively cover half of the majority of the maps.

@The_Krapper said:
Unpopular opinion: Boons aren't busted they actually make survivors weaker from the time wasted, If 4 survivors ran boon perks let's say they instantly know where totems are it could take 5-10 seconds each to get to it then you have to bless them so 14×4 if there are no hexes is 56 secs blessing time, and if they do it just twice that's 112 secs to bless plus 40 secs for combined time to find totems equals a total of 152 secs or 2 minutes and 32 seconds of time essentially not doing Jack #########, killers keep throwing up "but they can just relight the totem!" Yea and while they're wasting all that time gens aren't popping Ive gotten to where I hate boon players when I'm playing survivor, too much time wasted on the totems and my killer matches have never been easier when people try to run that trash. Just do the damn gens I promise your chances of survival increase when boons aren't there.
I've never seen a team do the situation you described. Most of them have 1 or 2 survivors placing boons.
Also you're conveniently forgetting the time CoH buys you by allowing survivors to heal themselves stupidly fast, which by default also extends chase time, makes killers have to overcommit to chases and overall makes survivors more efficient on gens because they don't have to search teammates to heal, and working on gens is easier when you're not injured.

Still skeptical on Pain Resonance. 4 hooks is just so pitiful, especially on larger maps. You're gonna miss a lot of potential value.
Now if it was 5 hooks we might be talking. Or even better, keep it 4 but make it also include basement hooks. That would have potential as well. QoL change as well, but Scourge Hooks shouldn't be breakable by any means, toolboxes, perks, dead player ect. They should be permanent.
I think the QoL it needs is making the hooks spawn on different areas of the map. I don't know if I'm unlucky but they always spawn next to each other for me, so it's impossible to get value if I'm on the other side of the map.

Why? If the average is 2k/2 escapes it feels better kill 2 survs than escape half of the matches, so survs should get more bps
It's a 4v1. 1 person against a group of 4, of course the 1 needs a higher reward. I don't see how it is hard to understand this.

He already gets more rewards, cause he is facing 4 guys. 4x more possible rewards.
But getting out of a match with 3k...
A killer already has more possibility to get 32k BP than a survivor. Never got 32k as a survivor. (Nearly impossible, especially if you cant do the objectives or dont get chases)
Well, both sides can only get 32k max per match, it's just easier as killer for the reason I mentioned.
As I said I agree survivors who get tunneled/camped should have some compensation points.
-
Honestly only a Freddy/Doctor level rework can save Twins. I don't see any way to make them an enjoyable killer while with their current power.
-
On a 4v1 the part of 1 needs to get higher rewards. But I agree facecamped/tunneled survivors should get more BP, something like 15k points for "Distraction".
-
Fix her bugs (M1 bug, blink bug).
Make Blink attacks not count as basic attacks, so she doesn't get to use exposed perks which are downright broken on her.
Make recharge addons not stack.
Nerf range addons, these are downright broken as well.
Basekit wise she's fine.
-
Playing killer after MMR is tough. I had to drop my main killer (Huntress) because I got to a MMR where I was downing survivors in <20 seconds and still losing all gens because survivors skillfully hold M1, and I don't really like to run slowdown other than Corrupt and sometimes Deadlock.
Now I mainly play Nurse and Plague, and even then I rarely play more than 5 or 6 games in a day, where before MMR I could play 15 and still not feel bored.
I'm at a point where I miss 2018 DBD. It had way more broken things but people there actually played the game, nowadays it feels like every team is trying to be a depip squad and speedrun DBD.
-
I agree, but buff it so it makes flashlight users exposed until the Hex is cleansed and they can be instantly moried.
-
The nerf to his lunge hurt a lot. He used to have a chance to get a hit on some loops, now he's back to the tier of killers that eat wood.
-
Give flashlights the Slinger treatment. You shouldn't be able to click a button and instantly have the flashlight shining at max brightness. They should have an actual animation.
-
They probably know how weak stealth killers are in this game. The only decent one is Ghostie and he gets neutered very easily by some teams and maps. Wraith is kind of good but NOT because of his stealth.
-
Cleansing a Hex with 5 tokens of TOTH still takes 28 seconds. An Artist player can just keep sending a crow every 20 seconds to their totem anyway, guess the nerf didn't really help.

"OP never claimed he got 60 wins in a row with high MMR."
He did if you read further posts which is why it was brought up.
Okay, didn't read the whole thing. Welp, guess he brought that upon himself.
-
Why is everyone so salty lol? OP never claimed he got 60 wins in a row with high MMR. He might just play in a time of the day where there's not really many good players around, but it's still an impressive feat. He also has the DBD statistics website to back him up on being an amazing Demo.

Will edit this into the main thread now!
Thank you to @MandyTalk for point it out, BHVR have made a statement on this in a Eurogamer article.
https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2021-11-11-dead-by-daylight-streamers-are-being-ddos-attacked
Here is said statement:
So basically "we're looking into it, so keep having your personal info leaked"? No ETA, plans on how to combat this situation, anything?
-
The tournaments I've seen have banned Boon perks. Shows how balanced they are.
-
It's okay, but it could be a bit darker imo.

Where do you see that "they dont know how to design Perks"? In the past few chapters they have created impressively good perks over and over for every single character. They are all very fun and overall balanced, overcome is the only exception here ofc.
Yeah, I was kind of salty there. Last chapters had quite interesting perks. It's just that this specific one and the Boons mechanic get on my nerves.
-
Devs again not knowing how to design perks. I thought we were heading in a good direction when I saw Smash Hit, an exhaustion perk that actually rewards the survivor for playing well, and then they come with this one "hey have this extra distance after you got outplayed by the killer".

Once Elden Ring drops I'm basically outta here forever.
Same here. Unfortunately I couldn't get the beta test key, but once 25th of Fev comes I'll probably uninstall DBD.
-
They should AT LEAST revert the nerf to the uncloaking speed. If anyone remembers, this nerf was to compensate the buff to his cloaked MS and the buff to his post uncloak boost. Now the post uncloak boost is the same as before, so it makes sense to at least revert the nerf to the uncloaking speed.
Basekit Wraith is now worse than old Windstorm Wraith, they made him low tier again.
-
I'm fine with chase perks honestly. Chases should be encouraged to be longer. It's the gen efficiency that's problematic.
-
S tier killers always survive. It's the B/C tier killers they like to nerf for some reason. Look at Wraith, Slinger, Pig, etc.
-
Honestly he would be fine, arguably still A tier. The thing about Blight that makes him different from Bubba, Billy and Oni is that he doesn't have a charge time. His Rush is borderline instant, and his power is definitely able to be used in 90% of the loops in the game already.
-
I remember before Oni the top tier killers were basically only women. Nurse, Spirit, Hag, Huntress.

That is not a problem if streamer oftenly changes his nickname and does not post his twitch info into Steam profile (like Ochido and other pro players do). If you want to show all of your info to everyone it is your problem, not everyone's else. And on the other hand if the survivor is also a streamer then the killer can also watch his stream and find him. So?
To be fair enough - do not show the nicknames of survivors and their profiles to the killer, why not, what is wrong with that? Killer wouldn't be able to see what kind of needed information?
Unless you're already a big streamer, hiding your info like that will just stop you from growing. I'm talking about small/average streamers, those who still need to put "TTV" on their nicknames.
Seeing the killer is way more problematic than seeing the survivor because you can adapt your build to a killer. Imagine you see a streamer playing Ghostface and all of sudden everyone on your team equips Spine Chill and uses a Coldwind offering.
But honestly, yeah, everybody should have their nicknames hidden in the lobby screen.
-
After gutting Slinger and nerfing Wraith for being "a wee bit OP" I don't expect anything.
-
I think the problem with seeing the killer's username is that streamers would be sniped on which killer they are playing, but imo they should at least let we see the ping.

BHVR really wants this killer dead unfortunately. Their latest stats were the first ones to not include the pick rate of killers along with the kill rate, so it's safe to assume they want people to forget and not play killers like Twins, Billy and Deathslinger.
-
Sorry, Vommy Mommy.
Now it's Crow Mommy time.
-
Nurse supports genocide, Huntress see people as animals to hunt, Julie and Susie kill people for fun.
Some of the male killers also have tragic stories. Check Hillbilly and Wraith.

Nope, the perk does spawn a totem from the remains of a cleansed totem.
But since survivors can just cleanse the hex again (because they already know where it is) and it can't be spawned again = trash perk.
I was talking about spawning a Hex right at the start of the trial that survivors can just destroy to get rid of your perk.
Even if survivors know where your new Hex is (which they can't really know if more than one totem is already destroyed), they are still going to take time to run to it + 14 seconds to cleanse, everything while all the other survivors are dealing with 30% slowdown.
It's far from trash. Trash nowadays is trying to run Hexes like Ruin and Devour while survivors still spawn on top of them. I'm all for perks like this that give way more consistent value.
-
It doesn't spawn a Hex totem. That's the beautiful part about this perk, think of it like Plaything.
In fact, this perk is going to be so good with Plaything, holy.
-
It still spawns only 4 hooks unfortunately. It would be cool to have 8.

Nerfing his 1v4 without buffing his 1v1 is lame. I agreed to nerf the Hoarder Pinhead playstyle, but not without compensation buffs to his mediocre 1v1.

I don't farm points, I earn points by playing. I'm a better than average player, but I am not top tier. I almost always am the last player left alive if my whole team dies, so I know I don't suck, but I also fare poorly in the red ranks so I am not a superstar. I just like a little distraction to play during the work day to get my mind off work for ten or twenty minutes throughout the day. So I guess I am a casual player.
Okay, that's fair then. Imo it's kind of BM leaving the game right at half of it, but the game is yours so play how you want.
-
You play this game... to farm points? You know you can't change BP for real money, yea?
-
You've played this game for more than 3 years dude, that's definitely more than the average player will ever stay. Your money hardly went to waste.
-
@Hoodied said:
hopefully HadNoFun as that map is currently still the only map to contain an extremely long loop for 110% killers or killers who don't have a power to deal with chaining vaults
If you're talking about the House of Pain don't be hopeful. Badham got updated and the only thing they did was add an useless breakable wall on it. It's still an infinite against 110% killers, and the House of Pain on Haddonfield has more windows.
-
Killer main here since 2019 and literally never seen this happening. I do it though.

Oh look another topic survivor get x so killer should get y. Seriously, stop crying
"Survivor get x so killer should get y" I don't see the problem in that logic though? You need a playerbase on both sides, so it makes sense for BHVR to give a cookie for both sides. Now that we have pallet and DH validation, it makes sense they give killers a grab (the real one, not the pathetic fix we have now), Head On and flashlight validation.
