I don't know what it is, but FC6 was reallllly fun for me.

The story and build-up reallllllllllly misdirects into one of the best/most brutal endings I've seen in a while.

Interesting, I might have to give it a go since I loved Far Cry 4 c:

  • @Raccoon said:

The FC6 crossover is not monetized in any way - It's a free mission.

Yeah, this is a concern of mine as well. The Stranger things part of it comes at no extra cost, so the devs can't exactly make money off of it directly. Instead, they're having a Free Weekend as well as a 50% sale on the game in conjunction with the mission going live. I'm just hoping that Netflix will get greedy and offer the license again to promote the Season.

On a related note, i am so hyped for season 4

Same! It's gonna be so crazy to see Nancy, Steve and Robin have a season as one of the 'groups'. I honestly reckon that Nancy and Steve will have feelings for one another now that they're both more grown-up, especially with Jonathan in California...

This is something that I often wonder.

When I play killer, unless the enemy team is really cocky and BM, I generally feel bad 4king - especially if it's been a good game and they just got unlucky with a potato, a DCer or a single misplay that turns into 3 downs (seriously people, stop trying to sabo so much! It tends to lose you the game).

I'll often let the last survivor go, or sometimes even a duo. This has become even more common since I've started playing survivor more regularly.

    Anyone else think like this?

I can be merciful, it depends on how I'm feeling and what the player is like. For example, if I had a bad match the game before, I'll want to prove to myself that I can get a 4k and be a merciless killer. If there are survivors who attempt to frustrate me, there's no way those ones are making it out alive.

When a survivor gives up wiggling as they're the last one left, or they shake their head in the dying state at me, begging for mercy, I often consider letting them go. I like to have moments where I'm feeling generous because a few killers do the same for me, and it makes me really happy when I'm the 'chosen one' to leave.

The amount of people who has such a big ego and princess syndrome that they need to nerf anything that they don’t like is unbelievable omg.

”Omg nerf any killer that has anti-loop it’s not fun for me!”

”omg stop tunneling/camping it’s not fun”

”stop gen rushing it’s not fun!”

im sorry, but if you honestly think the only thing thats considered fun is if you say it’s fun or not is pretty narcissistic to me. Maybe take a break from video games entirely if you complain when it’s not fun to you.

    there’s other people after all

There is zero reason for calling these people out. Unfortunately, online multiplayer games such as DbD, Overwatch, LoL etc all have this huge toxicity problem. It's part of the culture of online gaming sadly. Complaining about the devs, complaining about the content, about in-game mechanics, nerf this, buff that. It's just constant.

I get what you're saying entirely, and I don't disagree with your point, I'm just saying this is something we're gonna have to learn to respect until someone comes up with some sort of movement that begins pushing this toxicity out and bringing light in. Though, I doubt that'll be for a while.

  • Even I could not find that...

  • I had a game where a Nemesis just watched me die in the dying state when he got me there, didn't even hook me. Was so boring. He even had the nerve to message "gg wp" afterwards?

So year 5 ended, year 6 anniversary on the way. What do you think for year 5 killers? Nemesis, Pinhead, Artist and Sadako.

    For me;

Nemesis: Best killer in game (for me). He is reason i am playing DbD more. I love this big boy so much.

Pinhead: I think this killer showed us BHVR still can make good designs. His passive is great, gives second objective to survivors. Anti-loop is average. He has good animations and great voice-line. I love playing as him sometimes.

Artist: She is strong, she looks great. But for me, she was only one boring killer of year 5.

Sadako: She needs some buffs for sure. I think her passive is not threat for survivors, her stealth is not great either. So she needs some buffs but i love her. She is fun and fresh. I am already using my BPs on her for P3.

I literally just started playing in November, but I can give my opinions on some of them. The Artist is rarely ever used after her initial release period, I find her crow gimmick easy to counter most of the time. Nemesis' whole zombie thing is really cool, but I hate playing against his whip ability. Pinhead and Sadako are very cool licensed killers that deserve to be in the game. While Pinhead is frustrating because of his chains, Sadako feels quite balanced to play as/against.

  • I got it this morning after the Cursed Tape appeared on my TV screen. I was pretty transfixed, it's more eerie than I remember it being...

  • I personally don't use them in one build together. I don't even think I have some of the meta perks unlocked, actually. The way I play the game is by making each survivor have a distinct playstyle by using their three personal perks and then a fourth that goes with it. For Nancy, this would be Small Game. For Yoichi, I use We'll Make It.

For me, this is way more fun than building meta on every survivor. Playing Laurie Strode is such a different game to playing Kate Denson. Playing Kate means I'll be trying to loop and distract more, playing Laurie means I'll be staying far away from the killer and not putting myself in direct danger.

This, in my opinion, makes the game way more fun. I still find it weird that the game doesn't force you to use each character's personal perks and to pick a fourth one, since then characters wouldn't just be skins, but I'm still kinda new to the game and I've been playing stuff like Overwatch and SMITE for ages, so...

Teabagging at the gate should be punished by not beeing able to leave the trial. This would remove a lot of toxisity in this game

Just force them out? I'd only ever do this if a Killer has been attempting to tunnel me for the majority of the game, but many survivor players just do it every game.

  • @mr7ba_bk_ said:

Me: yes, please. The FNAF community is really big, so the game will have more players than the normal, and new players too. Just see how the players got mad when Pinhead entered in game instead of Springtrap.

Totally! Then, I hope it gets removed so the FNAF fanbase can go up in arms about it and we can rally to get both Stranger Things and FNAF back.

On a real note, it would be so awesome to see which animatronic would be the killer, their power and music. This is a chapter I'd definitely buy.

  • I've had a lot of trouble with Sadako, I find looping her so difficult. She's quite a small killer, so you have to pay such close attention to where she's going. To me, it also looks like she doesn't have to manifest to hit you, not sure if this is true, but it looks like she does this while 'invisible' and then becomes visible when hitting you.

  • @LiquidSoap said:

I am literally gonna quit this game cuz of tunneling meta, what's the point of even trying to play this game, if you get hooked first you're the first to die? and bt ds and uk are useless against a killer who commits to you for literally no reason. Like how desperate are killers for a win? rank just reset and Iam getting facecamped in ash 4 by 2-3-4k hrs killers ######### is that #########? Am I not allowed to play this game cuz I picked survivor over killer? I lost like ######### 20 games in a row and for some reason I get even worst killers every game...

To counter this meta, you gotta hope you're not the 'chosen one' and have everyone else hard focus on gens while the 'chosen one' hangs from the hook all game. Hopefully, you can get those gates opened just after the chosen one is sacrificed. Just don't try and counter the tunnel meta by all survivors ganging up to save the chosen one from the hook, cause they'll just trade spots, and then no one is doing gens.

I appreciate people's disappointment that they are no longer able to purchase anything for the Stranger Things Chapter, however we communicated very clearly and very early that this Chapter would be removed from the Store and did a FAQ to answer the questions the Community had with regards to the Chapter as well as putting on sales on cosmetics etc for our players to be able to purchase things prior to them being removed from sale. Not really much more we could have done then.

The communication in regards to the removal of the chapter and the FAQ was brilliant, it was pretty clear exactly what was happening. I'm more talking about the chances of it ever returning. It wasn't entirely ruled out. It just felt weird for it to come to a close after the amount of effort the developers put into the map, characters, animations etc.

I'm not getting my hopes up, but I'd love to know whether or not there's even a chance it returns in some form- whether as a limited-time event or the chapter itself returning.

They stated that it will be gone.

The other opinion was that Netflix wanted too much money for the license and that BHVR refused this. Could also be.

Could be. I just wish I still had access to the outfit I got, but I haven't had access to it since the chapter left the game.

  • @Marc_123 said:

There is no need of communication. It is gone.

It is on Netflix if they actively want to bring it back. I think only if their game playns flop drastically.

Yeah, but it's weird how they never stated publicly whether it was going to be gone forever or not. It was called a "Last Chance Sale" and they say they were "permanently sealing off Hawkins Lab" but it almost seemed like a cash-grab to make it seem like limited content when Netflix would likely approach them with another temporary license when ST4 comes out for the money.

I mean, look at SMITE. Netflix still sells Stranger Things cosmetics there, and the cosmetics are labelled "Exclusive", not "Limited", which means they will always return. This makes me think the whole leaving thing was a bit of a money grab and that they'll bring it back when the series is running again.

I guess It’s not impossible but I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for it.

Yeah, I know, it's just a massive shame is all. The lack of communication regarding the chapter's future is a little upsetting, too. I don't think it's BHVR's fault, though.
