Is it the price? The 'mere' 25% discount? The fact they forced you to buy a big bundle of characters?
-
Stealth should always be an option in the game, a lot of survivors are bad in chase, including me, so stealth is a good option to avoid it altogether. The game isn't all just about the chase and it shouldn't have to be. I hate being chased as survivor, even after thousands of hours.
-
I'd throw in Calm Spirit as well, just in case they got scream perks.
-
Not healing under the hook can help but if the killer wants to tunnel then they're gonna tunnel and you can't really stop it. It's the biggest issue with this game and has been the biggest issue for years now but the devs refuse to do anything to combat it.
There's a handful of perks that can make it take a little longer for the killer to tunnel you out, but none of them actually stop tunneling or even deter the killer from tunneling.
-
Yes, you'll automatically get all the rewards from all the tiers you've cleared.
-
It's not 'oppressive' at all. There are basekit ways of countering it that many survivors seem to just refuse to do, then complain. Devoting two of your perk slots as killer to get alright aura-reading and help deal with medkits and flashlights is fine.
For pure aura-reading there are better options out there that DON'T require a second perk.

So can we say same for survivors doing 0hook escapes, I think you'll answer yes
If a decent number of killers are getting 0 hooks pretty often, yes BHVR needs to do something about that too.

If a killer is able to kill a survivor without a single gen getting done, then the survivors messed up. There's 3 survivors who can work on gens and enough resources at the start of the game that the first survivor found should be able to lead on a chase long enough for a gen to pop.
Then in order to tunnel out the first survivor hooked, the killer has to wait for the survivor to be unhooked which a survivor has 60 seconds before going into next state. There's little reason for a survivor to be rushing for an unhook unless the game is already going downhill with multiple survivors down at once.
5 gen tunneling isn't an actual problem as it's just a skill issue.
I'm not so sure about this. Ive gone against Blights and Nurses who can find and down people fast enough that their Pain Res, DMS etc can get rid of any progress you make on the gens, and the slowdown that constant unhooking and healing after that point ensures can mean the game ends at 5 gens even with people doing gens.
Also, even IF it is mainly a skill issue, if it still negatively impacts a large portion of the playerbase, that's still something that needs to be dealt with by BHVR f they want their customers happy.

The second I get hit with franklin's it's a big hit to the morale. I don't even run. I get hit, drop my item and stop moving. Try to 4% then let the entity take me. Lightborn removes blinding items, sloppy make med kits useless, and there are so many gen regression perks like yeah we can use a new part but honestly tool boxes have been nerfed into the ground so hard by now not much difference between a grey box and a commodious. BUT hey part of the game right, the reason survivor queues are so long. Solo queue survivors are losing reasons to keep playing this game.
The difference between a brown* toolbox and a commodius with BNP and Wire Spool is massive. You shouldn't just outright lie if you want your point to be taken seriously.
Also long survivor queues means there's not enough killers.
-
There's been buggier ones, but yes this one has been particularly bad.
And we've got 2v8 coming up which is certainly gonna cause loads of issues.
-
It would increase queue times for SWF players and BHVR don't want to punish a large portion of their player base.
-
Everyone's talking abot it.

Quick disclaimer here: This is the average of total chase times each match. It does not distinguish between Survivors who are chased often or not chased at all, so it's not a true reflection of a typical chase. One Survivor might be chased for several minutes, but because the Killer is so focused on them, the other Survivors' chase times will be close to zero.
In other words, some may be chased way more, others way less, and all of that averages out to about a minute per match.
It's also worth noting that this is based on the chase mechanic, so it won't necessarily count every second that the Killer is going after someone. If the Survivor runs early and the Killer isn't close enough for a chase to start, for example, that time is not counted even though you'd probably consider them to be in a chase.
Then why have the stat there at all if it's useless and doesn't actually show what average chases are like?
-
I believe they should remove self-unhooking. Only allow it if you have Deli activated. Unfortunately I doubt BHVR would ever remove it simply because it's been a part of the game for so long.
-
There's a bug where if survivors die and leave the match, the next gen that pops counts as multiple gens being completed.
8 gens spawning is another bug.

Can cosmetics be killswitched? Examples like this + the stutters should be enough reasons to killswitch it until fixed.
BHVR aren't going to killswitch a new cosmetic you need to pay for.

These notifications are being removed in an upcoming patch. They will only appear in the store to help you find new outfits, not in the character selection screen.
Thanks for letting us know. Stuff like this shouldn't have been added in the first place, but at least BHVR has noticed the backlash. Hopefully they'll backtrack on some of the other UI changes too.
-
I've not had it block my view but I do always get lower fps when getting close to a Yui in this skin, and when picking up. I'm on PC.
-
Why did you try to unhook vs a tier 3 Myers camping?
-
I've seen very few people actually complaining about the change. A few sure but far more "why are so many people complaining about it" posts.
-
Survivors also sometimes don't get basekit BT so tunnel to your heart's content.

i think it’s a visual bug where a gen popping doesnt give a notification but it gives it later in the match. If it’s not a visual bug im surprised how buggy this patch is
It could just be visual, would certainly be an odd 'bug', but with DBD's spaghetti code, changing Knight's guards could well have broken gens and exit gates.
-
It looks like a hacker, though someone else did make a thread with weird insta-gens so might be a bug.
-
You sure it's not a hacker?
-
I'm guessing it's a bug, since Switch IS included for cross progression, just doesn't share DLCs or Auric Cells. Might be better to post this in the Bug Report section.
-
Oh, also I much preferred having the characters I don't own just greyed out at the bottom, now they're just scattered through the character list which… yeah they wanna try and get me to buy them but it's just kinda desperate I dunno.
-
Thankfully most games my survivors don't play very efficiently but all it takes is a group to stick to gens and they fly by with or without perks.
Don't need toolboxes or perks like Hyperfocus,, simply having all the survivors actually doing gens makes a HUGE difference, but they can't really add a blanket nerf without making solo queue even more unplayable.

My question, which I don't think has been answered anywhere is; will our MMR rankings be shared across all platforms?
Survivor probably won't make a difference since I'm pretty bad regardless, but I do tend to play a little better as Killer on PC Vs Switch. I don't fancy making my games much harder on console since that's my "chill" DBD account, so might make more sense for me to keep my accounts separate. I don't think MMR does a great deal anyway, but I do get the impression my opponents are a little stronger on PC.
I don't think this has been answered anywhere, all I can say is that I'd assume your MMR would be shared across all platforms. So long as you have crossplay switched on everywhere, you should be in the same pool when queueing up.
-
Anything you purchased in-game, like skins from the store, or if you purchased individual characters with Shards or Auric Cells, these should all carry over fine to other consoles.
Anything you purchased in the Nintendo eShop, so basically DLCs or DLC packages, will NOT carry over, and you'll have to purchase them again.
You also can't carry over any Auric Cells you may have on Switch.
I'm fairly sure this is the case, but do correct me if I'm wrong.
-
I'm quite surprised because I figured the main culprit causing Cross Progression to be delayed for so long would have been Sony or Microsoft, but it looks like Nintendo are the ones who don't play nicely.
Yes BHVR probably shouldn't have promised as much as they did when first announcing Cross Progression originally, but it's firmly the fault of Nintendo for not allowing the DLC you paid them for to work on other platforms.
-
Same, when chasing closely behind her it sometimes drops quite a bit, but it plummets when I'm picking her up.
-
While I do love the ability to cycle between his guards freely, using his guards now just feels more clunky and restrictive. Certainly less fun to play than before, and less accessible to newer players too.
-
They look awesome, easily their best Rift in a LONG time. I have noticed some lag issues when near Yui's new skin though.
-
Most new perks that get introduced are pretty weak and forgettable or outright awful. We kinda take the really strong existing perks for granted, so when new perks get added that are 'merely' good, they don't get used because why bring 'good' when you can bring 'great'? They'd need to add new perks that rival Pain Res, Corrupt Intervention, Nowhere To Hide, Lethal Pursuer etc to actually see decent use, and that would require the perk to be pretty damn strong, which BHVR is very careful with.
Adding a point system for perks would help solve this issue. Give each perk a point value and make it so you can only use perk combinations upto a certain value, so you can't bring 4 S tier perks and thus will NEED to bring some B-tier ones to fill out your build.
-
It's much healthier for the game. Hook deadzones shouldn't be a thing since they only lead to boring gameplay. Slugging will be reduced a little but obviously killers who are purposefully mass slugging aren't gonna be affected.
Hopefully they'll change breakdown next.
-
It does suck to hear but if you DC frequently enough to build up that high of a penalty, then you shouldn't be playing the game.
I know having dodgy internet isn't your fault specifically but it does negatively impact everyone you play with and it isn't fair on them. Even when you play killer and a DC makes all the survivors auto-win, those players didn't boot up DBD to just get auto-wins like that, they want to play the game.
As people have said you need to work out why your internet is frequently dropping, whether it's an issue on your end, whether it's an issue with your provider, or if it's a lack of good internet infrastructure in your area.
If it's on your end, then change from wifi to wired by getting a good ethernet cable, even if you gotta get a really long one due to where the router is, it's still likely gonna be a lot better for you. If you already have an ethernet cable, then try getting a new one and seeing if that helps.
If it's a problem with your provider then just change providers if it's possible for you to do so, or have a look at what your broadband package includes. To be fair even cheaper, slower internet packages should still ensure a reliable connection. If it's just an issue with your area having poor coverage then sadly there isn't much you can do besides letting your local council know it's something the people want.
-
BHVR aren't gonna have different Invocation perks have different durations to activate. It looks like going forward it's just gonna be 60 seconds standard now.
As for reviving, god no that'd suck. VHS had only a single res possible in that game and it got complained about all the time.
-
Turning crossplay off will pretty much always massively increase your wait time, even during peak times. It's pretty much never worth it.
-
The Unknown was always a good killer. Not S-tier and probably not A, but solidly above average and certainly able to contend with good survivors if you can use his projectile well. Also if you learn how to manipulate his clone spawns he can have decent map traversal too.
-
1 - They're probably afk or doing something else and don't even know they're in the lobby. Or they simply forgot to do it.
2 - It's not EVERY survivor or even most of them but it is indeed a lot of them. Most of the time it's done it's because the survivors perceive that the killer played 'mean' by tunneling or camping or otherwise being toxic. They're saying "Hahah I escaped even after you played like that". However, it does still happen a lot no matter how you play and in those cases it's just sore, toxic winners.
3 - Same as the second answer. It's either the mock 'mean' 'toxic' killers, or it's done by sore winners (even though the hatch isn't considered a win')

To be fair, the evidence provided here - the S and A tiers all have these qualities - could just as easily mean that's what killers need in order to be considered top tier.
You'd also have to prove that nothing below the top tiers can consistently do well in order for that to really mean much for the core assertion here, and I think that's a harder sell. Not that content creators are the be-all-end-all, but there are plenty out there doing perfectly well with all manner of killers, even Trapper.
True, but when a new killer comes out, people want it to be at the level of the stronger killers. They don't want a weak killer or even a middling killer.
-
With how DBD is, killers need either good mobility or good anti-loop, or a mixture of both to be able to consistently do well.
Look at all the S-tier and A-tier killers, do any of them NOT have either of those things?
-
Also if the Twins rework is anything to go by, they'll screw it all up and end up just doing some number tweaks.
-
If it's clearly a complete stomp in the survivor's favour then survivors aren't going to get a great deal of BP from the match since there wont be much Chase, Unhook or Healing BP awarded. They'll do those other things, maybe even 99 the two extra gens just to make the match more worth it. If matchmaking really put much stronger survivors against a weaker killer, it's not like they have a risk of dying anyway.
I've been the killer in that scenario quite a few times and yeah it's extra annoying since you just want the match finished, but I understand why they do it. Couple of times I got a cheeky 1k with NOED anyhow.
-
Even after a huge rework survivors will still just give up against her. She already HAD a big rework and survivors still do it.
-
Myers without Tombstone Piece is garbage, people who play him like that are gonna be at low MMR.
-
AMAs rarely give any actual information. They're either gonna pick easy, silly questions that no one cares about, questions we already know the answers to, or on the off-chance they DO pick a good question, they'll just answer with "That sounds cool" or "We'll see".

Are you talking about the event mode or regular? Event mode has no actual matchmaking, it seems.
Honestly regular matchmaking kinda sucks too though. It's been a commonly discussed problem for a while.
It's an issue in both modes, but it -has- been much worse in the event mode.

Game after game of the entire team dying with 4 or 5 gens left. Killers finding and downing survivors within the first 20 seconds of the game starting. Barely even being able to do gens because we practically start off on the back-foot and are just unhooking and healing all game.
This sound like a massive skill issue. I checked streams of survivor mains and losing at 4-5 gens is uncommon.
If it's a skill issue, why am I being matched against killers that are clearly far better than me and my teammates?
-
If they make it so it isn't so survivor-sided it could be cool. Shouldn't be an easy way to just break chase for survs.
