I play survivor gen jockey and when I'm suicidal I run interference and body block for the wounded. Just in it for fun and BP, don't really care about rank, and yes occasionally DC when I get pissed off. Oh, and I'm brutally honest as well.
-
Or maybe just switch to killer for a while until this player finds somebody else to focus his anger on. Seems like he or she may have issues??
-
There are good YouTube videos out there for beginner players. That's how I got started and it helped out a lot. As said earlier, urban evasion mixed with some darker outfits will help you go without being spotted easily. Self Care will help, as you may get smacked a lot at first, and Sprint burst can give you a quick getaway if needed. Perk choices depend on your play style so do some homework on each one to see what suits you. Good luck ๐
-
Not likely you'll be matched up with the same one too frequently so I wouldn't be too worried about it. They face plenty of survivors during the course,as most people play for several hours at a pop anyway.
-
Agreed...no chat in solo. I could see the DC rate soar. If you look at the harsh comments in post game chat, imagine how it would be in game.

Nope, no bought clothing. All my characters have steathy clothes, except Feng. The 3 shirts I have are all bright XD
I only play stealth with Nea and Claudette, but I get targeted most as Nea, Meg, or David.
I've felt as you do, believe me. Take a break from survivor for a bit. Don't give up on it though, even though it's tough to get good matches sometimes I still like the teamwork of survivor and helping others try to escape.
-
I just try to stay far away from him while he zaps other survivors into madness. Most Doctors will waste too much time doing this and not bothering to hook anyone. They also tend to focus on one survivor trying to make them nuts and non functional. This gives others time to find a safe area to work on a gen. It's worked for me most games. Just try not to get his attention in any way.
-
Maybe you can try a stealth build. What perks are you using? I hope you're not running around with neon clothing on. Also depending on the character you select, like Meg, Claudette or Nea for example, I've noticed they seem to get targeted early in the game.
-
Ummm...Im not understanding this either. Please clarify?
-
My current perks are Empathy III, Self Care III, Sprint Burst III, Urban Evasion III
I use this exact build most of the time but substitute urban evasion with Prove Thyself...it comes in very handy when you have someone helping you with a gen and there's a toolbox mixed in there ๐
-
Hopefully you'll be back...been there, done that! Enjoy your time off

I play solo survivor almost every time. Yeah, you can get stuck with potatoes and have a bad match but when you get a good crew it can be very fun. I try to play killer too but usually during a 2x BP event, as yes killers do tend to rack up more points than survivors sometimes.

Honestly The Clown is more straight forward while The Pig relies on stealth & traps. It is easier to get The Clown down.
Also he has some sick costumes man. Not including that, he does have some rememberable animations too.
The Clown to me stands out more than The Pig. Sure if you want to get great as Ghost Face, you should play as The Pig often.
There isn't a lot of killers like The Clown though. Yes you could compare throwing bottles to The Huntress' hatchets. But that's not a great comparison.
Obviously majority prefers her over him. I felt he deserves more respect than he currently gets.
He also has more useful add ons. Yes I went there so what. This guy asked a great question, I simply chose to give it to him straight.
I've unlocked Clown with shards and I'm pretty happy with the character. He adds a little comedy to the game looking like he does, and yes the costumes are cool ๐ I'll get to piggy eventually but for now it's Clown time !
-
I would try them out simply because to me, they're new to play. I prefer Spirit, Myers and Billy as my mains but with those 2 added I'll be able to utilize them all. Again, thanks for all the info as I know just about nothing on Piggy or weezy Clown .

Both Killers are good. Clown is underrated, in my opinion.
If you like delay tactics, take Pig.
If you like area control, take Clown.
That's my opinion, anyway.
I'll probably end up with both anyway since they're the only ones I haven't played. Thanks for the reply
-
Looks like Pig took the prize...as suggested I'll use shards for Clown. Thanks for all the input ๐

I leave immediately after the match ends and I view the results. Fortunately, console doesn't have end game chat. If someone wants to harass you, as some do, they have to do it by messaging you. Set your prefs to friends only can message. I've even gotten rude comments from people that try to friend request you, then when you open the request there's the garbage. So I no longer accept FR, or even look at them. It's sad that this is what it's come to. Oh well...
-
While playing killer, if anybody expects to get a 4K every match then you're gonna be disappointed quite a lot. I'm content with having a fun game. This game won't please everybody 100% of the time.

I usualy run a full altruistic build. Autodidact, BT, WMI, Deliverence, so i always go for the save, even if survivor being camped. I died a lot, cause i dont leave the match, unless everyone is safe.
Thats gives some satisfaction, cause instead playing the game as intended ego, i always go for the save. Got a lot of respect, either from killer and survivor.
That makes me feel good
I'd like to have you on my team for sure...Thanks for the perk info too.

Thanks to all who posted here. ๐

In terms of realms (new themes), we tend to only do so when it is necessary. Mount Ormond is a completely new setting and wouldn't fit into one of the existing realms, for example. When we can, we would rather use an existing realm when creating a new map. This has a couple different advantages.
- This saves time. Rather than creating all new assets, we can use existing ones and focus our time elsewhere. This gives us a chance to do things we otherwise wouldn't have time to do, like adding new tiles (see: Red Forest).
- There's no need for a new map offering. Each realm has its own offering. If each map has its own unique realm, there would be a lot of offerings cluttering the bloodweb. This way existing offerings get more use.
Going forward, we're going to be changing the way we handle maps. Rather than creating new maps with every chapter, we'll only be creating a new map every other chapter. In between, we'll be reworking existing maps to bring them up the more recent standards and applying what we've learned over the past few years.
Thanks for the feedback. Good information

Norman Bates did it better.
You have to agree the Bates motel or the Overlook hotel would be sweet maps...
-
How 'bout me? I'd like to play too!

Now that political correctness has reared its ugly head...this thread is officially F'd up.

โ๐ตYou can check out anytime you like but you can never leave.๐ตโ
Now I can't get that song out of my head...unfair!
-
I left the game too, even deleted it. It lasted about a day and a half and I was back. I have the sickness and there is no cure :-(
-
Whenever I get unselfish players like that I try to pay it forward in the next match. It makes it more fun for me anyway. I guess it's part of the DBD survivor creed. :-)
-
To add...I have had other survivors sometimes drop toolboxes at my gen and they ran off to distract the killer. When I finally catch up to them I usually give it back...as long as they're still alive that is.
-
I gotta be meee!!
-
Don't bring a knife to a gunfight X(
-
I don't feel he's OP but I will say I do enjoy playing the stealthy killers. The skins are sweet and I like the theme music while you're setting up loadout. If they left him as is I'd be ok with that...no need for a buff or nerf. As a survivor there are ways to counter his abilities.
-
It's never gonna end X(
-
I enter into a match planning on facing NOED, as it seems the norm anymore. If I should see a totem I'll cleanse it. It really doesn't take up that much time. If you want to boost repair speed on the gens run prove thyself and have a team mate, or 2, help you repair. That boost can be a blessing.
-
That's all I can say...
-
I never really noticed this stuff... I was too busy running for my life. Next time I'm gonna check it out. :\
-
I didn't see the original post, but don't sweat it anyway. Some aspects of this game get us all raging at some point.
-
You mean my Claudette no longer blends into the weeds...that blows X(
-
I've not used maps much so far but after reading this I'm giving it a chance. I always make it a point of looking for totems because I'm kinda tired of NOED and Ruin abuse. As killer I have never used either one as I think it's a cheap way to get a 4k. If they outplay me then so be it.
-
I can feel your pain.
Hugs and kisses,
Oprah Winfrey
-
I'll do it to buy time for those working on the gens but yes it's boring. Most killers usually say to hell with it and go after someone else anyway. Time is not on their side
-
Oh and let's not forget the one who decides to stand there and attract crows...
-
When I'm hooked and I see 2 survivors on gens and the idiot who decides to hide in a locker on the other side of the map for no reason.
-
53...in body only
-
The only change I would suggest is to put the exit gates further apart so if the hatch closes there's a little better chance to get out.
-
Survivors...Meg, Ash, and Kate.
Killers...Billy, Legion, and Spirit
-
It's getting to the point survivors have to realize they aren't supposed to get out alive, so grab as many points as you can before the game itself kills you. Just another way to tip the scales in the killers favor....it does look cool though.
-
If you see one cleanse it, or it may haunt you later. Don't rely on anybody else to do it. They may be too busy running for their lives when they pass it.
-
I like the layout and looks of Red Forest. All we need to make it better is a little thunder and lightning to go with the rain!
