And it's actually pretty insulting for someone to ask Matthieu Cote about the grind and he just says that the Archives will bring MORE grind as if that's a good thing.
-
@SpaceCoconut did all the math. It would take aprox. 7 million bloodpoints to get all perks on one character, assuming you start from level one and have already unlocked all teachables.
-
Nice idea, though I have a problem with the perks. Hex Energized Threat shouldn't be a Hex. A max of 12% MS, 36% lunge, and 60% stun recovery isn't strong enough to be a hex. I'd also like to addt that hexes inflict curses upon survivors, not buffs to the killer. Overconfidence is basically an OP Spine Chill. Bad Impression is just, well, bad. It gives absolutely no downside for using it and makes it even easier to bully the killer.
-
Yes, I agree. The Creative Department seems to be the only department worthy of actual praise.
-
Well my papa did always tell me everyone can have an opinion.
-
You can't call yourself a TRUE killer if you haven't been reported for NOED.
-
Well if we don't end up getting a 2v8 game mode, I do think it would be essential for the games health to add a new game mode, because the standard play we have now is getting stale, and adding new characters every 3 months isn't gonna help it out that much.
-
Yes, let 0.1% of the populous have a say in what goes on.
-
If both killers and survivors got a extra perk slot, I don't think it would change much. Someone on Reddit posted a cool rework for perks. Each perk would have a different point value, ranging from 1 to 4. You have a total of 8 points fora loadout. The points each perk has depends on their strength. S you could either run 8 weak perks, or two strong perks, or mix and match.
-
Although I imagine lag would be a big issue. The game would have to have two maps fully loaded at the same time as well as supporting 10 players.
-
5% isn't THAT huge of a difference. I very much doubt your story.
-
I like it, although there may be a few kinks in it. Overall not a bad idea, with some tweaks and testing of course. However I doubt this or any kind of 2v8 mode will ever make it into the game because of how it would have to rework a lot of perks, powers, maps, and all new coding.

Huntress is slow but not that slow. She could've easily gotten into a chase with him or mindgamed.

You see that's something everybody (me too) would like to see implemented. But think about the downsides:
-you would get even sweatier match at red ranks then now, basically only swf for killers and killers who stall the match to pip for survivors;
-once somebody reach rank 1, he would probably drop the game 'til the 13th, so that he could not lose the rewards, this may create a massive playerbase loss.
As always, we need to wait and see how this new mechanic, the archive is going to work.
Perhaps what rank you derank to on rank reset depends on 1. What rank you were previously and 2. How active you were at that rank. So if you get to Red Ranks and just float there for the benefits, then at rank reset youll be reset down a lot farther.
-
When I hit red ranks with killer I just switch to playing with survivor and wait until reset.
-
@Gardenia is right, Killer is incredibly unfun in high ranks. You get looped and genrushed then teabagged out the exit gate with survivors taunting you in the endgame chat. Low rank survivor play has everything to do about skill, not the game. The reason survivors struggle in low ranks is because they have't gained enough skill and are new to the game. Killers in high ranks are there because of their skill. Say what you want about how useless ranks are and how they mean nothing, but you can't deny that Players in high ranks are better at the game than in low ranks. So the reason killer is so unfun isn't because they're trash or ignorant to do better, it's because the game is actually stacked against them and yes, survivors have the advantage.

No one annoys me more than Feng.

Rule #404: Disconnecting is not shameful under these circumstances
- You are the first one downed
- You miss your decisive
- The killer is Legion
- You are being camped
- You are being tunneled
- The killer downs someone else while you are still on the hook
- There is a secret offering
- The killer nods his head or taunts you in any way after getting downed
- You are on your death hook

Very True. A lot of Hag players who place 4 traps the whole game and place their traps directly on pallets of course are gonna do #########.
-
Except Norman Bates and Jack Torrance aren't special in any way like Michael, Freddy, or Pig. Michael is a tank, Freddy is a demon, and Pig has reverse bear traps. Jack and Norman have an axe and a knife. Nothing special about them except that they're crazy.
-
Are you kidding me? Survivors run mindlessly into traps all the time, even survivors who saw Hag place a trap. You overestimate how smart survivors are.
-
I don't see her as weak at all. I think she's one of the best killers in the game.
-
I find it ironic that people say Hide or Die's graphics are bad on a Dead by Daylight forum.
-
Hey, if survivors don't wake up, Freddy won't complain.
-
I want to see the game be darker.
-
Camping isn't inherently bad.
-
If the killer is facecamping, sure, BT is great. But sometimes survivors force the killer to camp if he knows that everyone is trying to swarm the hook. I don't think it's the highest priority, but it would be nice if it was tweaked to be more fair.
-
Freddy. Ghostface is weaker if you ask me because of how easily survivors can spot you. Freddy is always fun to catch people in snares and pallets.
-
-
It's even more fun when you're chasing a survivor around a loop and theres a tree there thats a small enough gap for the survivors to fit through but the killer gets fat-shamed.
-
I like the idea, but unless there's an automatic escape behind that door/chest, Survivors are still only gonna use them on hatches and not waste them.
-
Well thats bullshit
-
The slowed movement speed when charging and throwing bottles isn't a bug, and it's hardly substantial considering the hinderance penalty survivors get. He's also good at herding.

on 2 of the 3 plattforms he is the killer with the lowest kill rate in the game.
on PS4 he is top 3 i think.
might also just be the lack of players, so a single bad game has much more weight than lets say a billy game, since there are way more billy games out there
Plague is also the killer with the highest kill rate, does that mean Plague is the best killer? No, wherever you think plague is on the tier list doesn't matter, shes not the best in the game.
-
Legion, Bubba, and Wraith existing is my reasoning. Also hes pretty good at slowing down and ending chases. Im not arguing he's top tier or anything, just not the worst.
-
DS doesn't counter tunneling. It's a Get out of Jail Free Card that lasts a minute. A lot can happen in a minute in Dbd, Including downing someone you hooked a minute ago without tunneling them.
-
Ok buddy.

Except that the more pallets on not reworked badham are safe pallets no mindgame at all
What?
-
They work for both sides. More evenly placed pallets is a plus for survivors and easier pallets to mindgame is a plus for killers.
-
So you're pulling the "Gasoline and Stamina exist for Bubba/Billy and LEgion" card. Well then, I PULL THE "SURVIVORS HAVE STAMINA TOO" CARD!!!

BATTLE ROYALE

The devs solve problems with perks, not actual changes.

Didn't a mod just close a post about this exact same thing? Well I'll let him take care and answer this one too.

[insert hilarious joke about this dudes inability to hit enter because that joke totally isn't overused here]

What survivors call tunneling 9 times out of ten isnt actually tunneling.
