David of course, he's strong and protective, I'd like that ;)

I'd like to see a Myers have a few buffs, providing they remove tombstone and infinite T3. I liked the mini buff they gave to Myers where after hitting T3 for the first time you don't need to stalk as much after that. The greatest problems I find with Myers is his movement speed in T1 and his movement speed while stalking. Myers needs a buff similar to clown, clown is not slowed down when holding his bottles, I think Myers shouldn't be slowed down when stalking, or at least not slowed down as much. I know there are add-ons to increase movement speed while stalking, but I prefer add-ons that increase the duration of T3. As for his movement speed in T1, the movement speed should be increased if you're running add-ons that increase the time you have to stalk for.
If you're struggling with map control with Myers, corrupt intervention is an absolutely essential perk.

The problem is that most self care user always heal when they get the chance even if jumping on a gen would be a better choice.
Yeah I agree, by having the perk in your build you have the ability to be fully healed which is why they heal at any given opportunity instead of going on a gen.

Oh did u, sorry, i just read the main message. I've had so many solo games a person will actually be near me self carin, I'm on the hook, the killer isn't near, I've went second phase.... instead of just comin to get me, and it would be quicker to heal each other up, but nope.... ngl when i started dbd i used self care, but i would always save ma team mate.
There's other perks ppl could use to get a heal say if they don't have a medkit, bond, inner strength.. i don't blame the perk, i blame ppl makin bad choices on how it's used as do u.
Ppl might not have Nancy so that'll be inner strength out the question for them, but surely everyone would have Dwights perks as teachables by now (bond)
Yeah, when I started out on dbd I also used self care, when I got to purple ranks I couldn't reach red ranks and it was because of self care wasting too much time for me in games. Inner strength or medkits are better, I prefer medkits, and normally I never have to heal myself more than twice in a game so the limited charges don't bother me. Also the time it takes to self care is the equivalent of half a generator so I just play iron will, and do a generator until I see a teammate.

ikr its not the perk thatd bad its jerks that use it are bad like i died today on my second hool to a doc whos chasing somone else persons in front of me selfcaring while docs slugged the other person
But then what I find is that the people who prioritise healing themself or getting an unhook are too scared to be injured

@Brodie said:
I loathe self care players!! 90% of the time because as u mentioned and thana they self care on sloppy in the corner of a map, and just leave u chillin on the hook, however self care i've only really seen 10% use it correctly, imo it's just as situational as DS..
1. Endgame self care if the others have opened the gate, got u off a hook and ditched without healin u, use it then to get urself out if possible.
2. A heal might get interrupted, and the one healin u scarpers like a deer at a slight heartbeat... U'll be able to do the rest urself
Yeah I mentioned those 2 reasons a bit further up in the comments, and those are most definitely the only reasons to use it. I'm rarely surprised to see when someone is playing self care, normally it's an explanation π

Have fun, it is nearly used as much as DS (around 40-45% of players in each game).
That's why I had to vent about it because it's so common. When I solo queue there is always at least 1 person that has self care. I encounter way too many people who self care instead of doing a generator or getting an unhook and it just favours the killer.
-
If the killer has had a tough game, or it's a weaker killer I'll just leave because I feel bad. But if it's a killer that's gone out of their way to be toxic, or camp or tunnel me, it's my way of laughing at them.

I always say, self care is not the worst perk but it promotes players making really bad decisions.
There is time to self care but some just wait so much time.
I remember running sloppy, nurses and thana at the same time as ghostface, it was so much fun seeing survivors self care for a long time just for me to hit them again and make them waste like 40 seconds of not doing anything just playing their air guitar.
Playing their air guitar π I always say they're tickling their bellies

The perk isn't bad.
The player using the perk at the wrong time or inappropriately in certain scenarios is bad.
Killer has Sloppy Butcher or Nurse's Calling? Probably better to use a medkit or another Survivor to reduce the time required unless absolutely necessary.
Someone on Hook and Self Care would make them hit the next stage? go unhook them first.
A Generator is close to being finished? Probably worth the risk staying Injured to complete it before the Killer passes by.
It's Legion. (This one is pretty self explanatory)
It's Plague. (Also self explanatory)
Yeah but that's all I seem to run into, people who self care at bad times. But quite honestly I can't think of a good time for self care other than when you're nearly healed but your heal got interrupted so you can finish the heal, or if you're the last person alive near the exit gate and need to take a hit to get out. But the majority of players are so reliant on it, and the people at the end of the game who have done the least in the match typically have self care in their build.

If swf with flashlights is really a problem for you, you should definitely put on lightborn and mad grit. If they try to blind you with flashlights then it won't work, but they might try to take protection hits instead, so mad grit will work in your favour because it will injure the survivors and also make sure that the survivor you have won't wiggle free

He'd be an incredible and terrifying stealth killer, I don't like when people say 'oh we already have a clown in the game' because Pennywise is a shapeshifter. I'd love if he could gradually build up his power and then become the huge spider, similar to oni or michael.

I dunno, I closed my DbD app twice today, once when they burned for Ormonds and the other when they last second changed to key. Neither tine had penalty. Maybe I just was quick enough to not count as a game since we never loaded in completely, or maybe itβs off again.
Yeah quitting the game doesn't count as a proper dc because the game hasn't loaded therefore you don't get a dc penalty, it's a good counter for last second switching without a time penalty.

Haha imagine how many SWFs would use the team surrender feature. If the killer is slugging then I just check my social media or listen to music and just wait. Being slugged isn't exactly fun, but the bleed out timer is only 4 minutes.

Buff clown, he's my favourite killer and I love to play as him, but map pressure is quite difficult with him

Sad seeing console players too afraid to improve their gameplay and only want to bully baby killers for easy escapes. Not surprising though.
'too afraid to improve their gameplay' my post is about how my gameplay hasn't improved. My games are more balanced when I play with people on the same platform as me.

My lobby times were better AFTER I opted out of cross play. I gave it a dozen matches. I wasn't overall impressed with how teammates played and hits seemed even worse as did the fps performance. I have no incentive to play cross play. I know many voiced their concerns about cross play after the survey and it seems as usual many of us were ignored.
I opted out of crossplay and just played a couple of both killer and survivor matches and I see what you mean about queue times being better, even for both roles, so maybe queue times were bad last night because most people were trying out crossplay

I'm on ps4, I turned off crossplay last night after spending the day trying it out. I felt same way, that if I had to continue with crossplay I'd move on from dbd because it was not a fun experience. After turning off crossplay wait times were better than with it on, I think because by end of the day alot had felt same and turned crossplay off. I was getting matched with rainbow ranks when I had crossplay on. If I was hooked, if I didn't have another ps4 player in my lobby, I would be left there until struggle or would die in first hook. Felt like other platforms survivors play against eachother rather than work as a team.
Yes, I did turn off crossplay as soon as it came out so I imagine my queue times were bad because most people were trying crossplay out. I think I'll just have to pick queue times over crossplay because the games were unplayable on crossplay.

I get that it's been rough. I had my worst DBD day ever yesterday. That said, it's a change that just happened and I'm hoping for the best moving forward. I'm going to keep cross-play turned on and hopefully learn how to cope with slightly different metas and styles.
Yes, someone also mentioned that it might be because of rank reset, I think dbd picked the worst time to add crossplay because I've gone from rank 5 to rank 6 now π

@TheEdMaverick said:
I still thinkin there should be a option to turn on or off crossplay but only with pc, otherwise it would be dumb
Yeah I agree, a mouse with insane sensitivity is much more different than an analog stick used on consoles
-
@NoShinyPony said:
With disabled crossplay, how can your queue times be too long as both survivor and killer? Are your ranks that different?
Well if you disable crossplay then you're only matched with other players who have opted out of crossplay, but crossplay was automatically enabled for every dbd player. So games were harder to play because I assume more people have opted for crossplay.

@KingFrost said:
Isn't that kind of normal after rank reset? Or was that just Switch? Cause whenever I got rank reset, I'd always run into tunnelers, campers, survivors who always bring Syringes, DS, Adrenaline.
Yeah I actually hadn't considered if it was possibly rank reset, so thanks for pointing that out. Before crossplay I didn't find rank reset too inconvenient, I'd encounter the occasional tuneller or camper but that was just normal, but now crossplay is out I seem to be tunelled in the majority of my games.

Well the playerbase on pc seems to have juggled both sides up so much that console player feel that every pc player is tryharding which at some point became the norm for both sides.
Killer on console are weakened by limitations in from of framerates and hardware limits (analog stick Turnspeed vs mouse being able to flick and instant 180 turns).
This lead to survivor adapting to a softer Playstile in comparison? You never have to try your hardest when the other side is limit in their capabilities?
I don't know I never played on console and nearly didn't play any survivor but apply by looking at the problem from the outside with logic I would come to this conclusion.
But there evidently is a gap between pc and console gameplay, which was always there and forever will be. Even the distance to the screen and sound differences will matter.
For example I played salt and sanctuary and darks souls on console (with my buddy) and on my PC and I felt there is an immense difference for me, because it is way easier for my to have a complete overview on the close of monitor and better sound with my headphones. I played everything with a controller on both platforms, which I prefer for platformers or 3rd person games (not shooters though).
Yeah even the 360s or 180s are different, I tried to up my sensitivity on killer but that only made it harder to aim, so overall console is weaker for countering survivors and killers, since crossplay came out I don't think any killer has missed a swing on me unless I got a pallet stun on them

Best Part is that slugging doesn't even get you that many points as killer so if you 1 hook everyone you depip.
Yes exactly! The game that made me stop playing this morning was with a Pyramid Head in Hawkins lab. He downed someone quite quickly so they dc'd, he then kept on slugging us 3 remaining survivors, so it took him a while to eventually slug all 3 of us and then when he did he just hooked us all when we were on our first hook.

What I find is that queue times change for the roles. Early in the day it's really easy to find a game as survivor and it takes forever to find a game as killer. Then in the evening it takes forever to find a game as survivor but it's quick to find a game as killer.
I think this is because at night more people play swf after work or at the end of their day. If you want to play killer with good matchmaking times then try to play later in the evening.
