Yeah no it feels AWFUL. The -2 range barely has an effect on his strength, it just feels really clunky. It only impacts the killer's experience. The people downvoting despise ghoul so they'd like every nerf possible, even if it isn't warranted.

just make it a BPS please 😭😭

Great point, I also found more success in basic attacks unfortunately.

Agreed I found it fitting. It was definitely too loud in the ptb, but it would be perfect if it were turned down.

This is not a bug, it was stated in the patch notes

Happy both platforms are equal now, but neither should be able to do this
The main reason people were upset about Oni flicks was because it was pc exclusive. Now that console can do them there's not much of an argument. If people think its too strong, they should adapt to it, 180 flicks were frustrating because you didn't know if the Oni you were playing against was on pc or not, which made him inconsistent.

What is TAA? I play on xbox series x.
Temporal Anti-Aliasing, its a blur effect so the game looks less pixelated. On PC you can disable it for a much sharper game.

"I shouldn't have to nuke my performance for better looking hair"
Not that I want to defend anything here, but isnt this literally standart in many games now?
Im certain, that Ive played a game not so long ago that literally had graphics options just for the hair on its characters. When it looks like that there's no excuse, many people play on low and prefer it that way. Same goes for TAA.

Still think this should be addressed. If anything, just the lobby animations.
Keep the expressions on Ultimate Houndmaster though, they really suit that skin -

I reported it during the ptb, told me it was not considered a bug sadly
seriously? thats upsetting

Unfortunately the entire search mode as a mechanic just sucks, its only useful going towards a generator or gate

Love this change

Hellfire was totally fine before with the 7 second cooldown. It did already punish you if you did miss it and forced you to Wolf while other killers can just spam their M2 with no cooldown.
Im fine with it having a cooldown as he has other forms to help him, but 7 seconds was already a lot for a hindered ability like his Hellfire. The cooldown nerf was not needed and as op said it was more of a "just use wolf" instead of a needed nerf.
If BHVR wants people to use wolf, then make that form's identity clear.
Whats the identity right now? A tracking tool? Nope, his tracking is useless when you need to track and locate survivors: outside the chase. Inside the chase i can track survivors with any killer with the generic tools the killers has (scratch marks, sounds, pools of blood..) unless the survivor have very specific builds to make you lose track of them. And this is interesting because the form was marketed as Dracula's tracking tool.
So, its just another chase tool? Then we have a problem as we already have Hellfire for anti-loop.
The problem here is, if you make Pounce worse than Hellfire (like it always has been) then there is no point going wolf. But if you make Pounce stronger or even as strong as Hellfire, then what is the point of the Vampire's form at all? Wolf has not only the M2 but more passives, if they make his M2 equal or stronger than Hellfire then there is no point to ever go Vampire.
I get that the point was to use them on different situation, but as people have realized already, Hellfire is better than Pounce in 90% of the situations. But thats not because Hellfire is good, thats because Pounce is bad.
Just make wolf form an actual tracking tool and make it spawn orbs when survivors are standing or even walking, like, at the moment when you actually need to track people. Make it spawn them at a slower rate if needed to balance it out. Or just do something to help the track outside the chase.
Then i would have no problem with Pounce being worse than Hellfire. Wolf form would primary be a tracking tool (like, again, how the form was marketed) and would just have a Pounce to help him a little bit more in chase, but if you want to truly catch survivors in loops, then you would have to try with Hellfire and his high cooldown (again, 7 seconds was totally fine).
Right now Vampire and Wolf forms are just chasing tools, and people will just use the one that is better at the job.
Very well said, unfortunately I doubt they'll do anything about this since its a "small change" in their eyes. Its awful clunk for us.

Yeah they look VERY weird.

I honestly couldn't care lessabout Blurry Photo but I'm still miffed over Vanishing Box; there are few good uvx addons. I'd rather have seen photo get gutted, a boring addon rather than Box which promotes using power
the 20% loss feels awful, regardless if the addon is uninspired. Both addons need adjustments.
-
@HolyDarky said:
True. Old Blurry Photo gave Unknown an additional strategy and chase tool. The nerf feels so bad and undeserved. Nerfing Vanishing Box was fair but 80% is too much of a drawback. They can reduce it to 20% and make it a purple Addon which would be more fair.
I also feel like the developers are very harsh and unfair when it comes to Unknown's Addons like with these two big nerfs but also before: Captured By The Dark has a strong effect but also a huge drawback. Meanwhile, Wesker's and Singularity's Addon that have a similar effect, have a second strong effect and in case of Wesker, his infection is much more difficult to get rid off with many other advantages for him.
Yeah, all they have to do is revert blurry photo, or at least give us the old effect one way or another. And reduce the vanishing box penalty to anywhere between 20 - 30%

Xenomorph is confusing and clunky for the killer player by design. The visual effect on his tail attack goes way forward sometimes, and other times it like floats in place, which is consistent with its inconsistent hitbox.
And like you said, his tunnels suck. They sometimes don't even spawn near the gens they're associated with, like on a completely different floor or behind a wall from them. They muffle survivor and gen sounds really hard. They're facing a wall when you come out half the time, like a Sadako TV. And they spew sparks out of the entrance for no reason when you come out. Why does it do that, if not to confuse players? Because the turrets spark as well when you come out, so it tricks you into thinking a turret is like right on you. You turn to look for it so it doesn't burn you, and then you figure out, "Oh, it was just me teleporting." So stupid.
Yeah they seriously need to address Xenomorphs tail without completely butchering it. As for its tunnels, not only do they spawn super inconsistently, they take forever to enter & exit, and the interior tunnels can have extremely sub-optimal routes.
- Improve station spawn logic, you could also add more of them.
- Decrease station enter & exiting speed
- Fix tail visual clunk
- Nerf flame turret detection range (40+ meters is insane, what's the point of undetectable in tunnels? I love it thematically, but it shouldn't be that large.)
as for its addons, id like to see them make map and helmet basekit. WITHOUT nerfing them overall (unknown) -
You're heading the right direction with this, im just not seeing enough compensation for these ridiculous nerfs to an already mediocre killer.
If we're removing m1/lunge from his crawler mode, his cooldown needs to be the same as an m1 for everything besides misses, which should be more penalized, just not as much as it is currently.
4.4 would be dreadful as Xeno is a killer that has to get within a short range and has no movement options outside of its tunnels.
I figured this suggestion was made so standing up has a use, a much better idea would be to make its base movement speed for walking greater than 4.6 or giving standing up some sort of sub-power.
No overheat or scamper, thats just a bad idea. -
I think Xenomorph could use some tweaks, his tunnels are a bit underwhelming.

Like you said, killer who was in a perfect spot. Not super weak, but not overpowered. And yet, he got nerfs as if he was overpowered. This is the only game whose devs do this. If Unknown was so strong (I hate to be this guy, but), why isn't he played in tournaments and stuff all the time? Nobody can ever answer that, because they'd have to admit their BS. All you see in tourney/top MMR is Nurse and Blight. No killer comes close to them, except maybe Spirit, so why nerf a bunch of killers who aren't even close to the top killers?
Exactly, I truly don't understand BHVR's decisions sometimes. Honestly baffling that they even thought about touching The Unknown balance wise.
-
Older post but Its still something im upset about, they literally nudged a perfect killer for what reason? They just added clunk
Give us the full blurry photo effect and reduce the vanishing box clone penalty -
Another comment to keep this up
-
All layers should be reverted tbh
-
agreed
-
I think blight is completely fine now
for Singularity tweak some addons, nothing basekit. (blindness addon in particular)
Artist could use some Qol, no nerfs.
And chucky as annoying as he is, is fine. -
@albertoplus said:
Wolf form does need buffs to actual tracking. Having that tracking in-combat is worthless on most scenarios: you can just track any survivor with any killer in chase and they should escape very few times (unless they have specialized builds to escape).
Tracking should be useful outside of chase, you know….when you do actually need to track people.
Make orbs appear even when people are standing or walking, even if it needs to be at a slower rate or something.
I dont want Wolf to be another "chase" tool when it was marketed as Dracula's "tracking" tool.
I like that actually, id be okay with wolf being more tracking centered. As long as they reduce hellfire's cooldown though.
-
I really cant stand the extra 3 seconds on hellfire, I prefer vampire in most scenarios so I have to rely on CD addons to make him feel normal

They should keep the 40 second expose and add another effect

Because it sounded like a scary scene from the misadventures of flapjack. The live version is an improvement.
I can see that tbh. I still prefer PTB, though I can agree Live is more intense or "scary".
Something is just so good about the previous version In my opinion. -

i would prefer the new instrument in the chase to be toned down a bit but i 100% agree, ptb was much better
That wouldn't be a bad idea either, personally I like the PTB's rhythm, the new one's is a bit too fast

As a P100 Drac, and this pretty much summarizes how I feel. I personally don't think Hellfire was strong enough to warrant the nerf, I appreciate trying to spread out Dracula's strength among his three forms but this just feels like tipping the scales in the opposite direction, I don't even think the buffed wolf is even all that great.
I'd honestly be fine with the wolf keeping the changes and just the hellfire change getting reverted, or at the very least given a middleground.Absolutely, after hearing some responses I think it should be 7 seconds regardless. We shouldn't be forced to use wolf, even if its amazing.

@DaveyTheDuck said:
yeah i agree, I really loved the accordions in the ptb and im said they changed it so you can barely tell what it is. feels like the theme kinda lost it's identity in a way. it's good but it's just not as fun for me tbh
I truly hope they revert it
-
@Peppa_Pigsaw said:
Yeah I'm a really dedicated Dracula main (Prestige 41 and I literally spent hours going through every map to find things I could hit over/through) and tbh these changes don't make me want to use wolf form more, they make me not want to play Dracula period. When most of the meat and potatoes of what I enjoy about this killer is getting really skill expressive hellfire hits over objects that people don't expect, the fact I can now go for those shots less and when I end up missing them makes it even more punishing to miss. I can only imagine how much worse they feel as someone who doesn't log in JUST to play Dracula. I really hope the hellfire changes are reverted and Wolf form gets some much needed buffs. As the Wolf Form just still isn't worth it.
Thats so upsetting to hear honestly. Hopefully they address this, unfortunately there's not many people talking about it.

Agreed, complete downgrade
-
PTB layers 1, 3 and 4 were so much better. I prefer live 2 though.
