I'm very Very VEry VERy VERY disappointed. That's all I'm gonna say.
-
Because my time hasn't come yet :P
-
I usually play Doctor, Pig and Clown. But Clown not that much because he is only level 37 and I don't have many perks on him (as I have with Doctor and Pig, though I have like 3-4 pages of perks with those 2).
If I'm in the mood I play Trapper, Legion, Spirit or Plague. But I've rarely played Spirit or Plague lately, because I don't think Spirit is that fun as survivor and Plague feels so bugged, nothing hits and I've made the mistake of prestiging her and now she barely has any decent perk. Also I don't even have bbq 3 with these killers, so I don't stick to them yet, for the points.
The other killers I've played only for missions. The grind on this game is so horrible and huge that once you're below rank 15, you simply can not afford to try something new, because you have nothing to go with.
-
Thanfully I have no idea what channels you're talking about, because I don't consume these kind of content. So the only ones I've seen so far (the ones that I like) have just said their ideas on what to change and what not to.
I don't think you sounded mean. People just get things over their heads with some changes. Even though I don't agree with some ways the changes are being made, I'm also not disagreeing with others.
I also wish no one from the team had to ask people to be civil, but welcome to the internet, I guess.
-
I think it is unfair in the point it only works once. So the killer can still "eat the ds" and keep tunneling. It should work twice and about the healing part, I don't know... I wanted it to be clear the it deactivates once you're healed. Not sure about this part
-
It's ok, but DS should activate everytime you get unhooked, though, in my opinion. That way we can reduce tunneling more effectively, imo
-
It depends on what's going on. The other day I was playing nurse and for me a win was get my bbq stacks. And it was super fun, even though I mostly didn't kill anyone, didn't get the entity displeased.
If I get matched with survivors that are not too good, killing them is not really a win for me... and I usually get my hooks and let them go. When it's the other way around, the bbq stacks is enough for me.
As for survivor it depends. It may be a escape, even if single, depending on what my teammates did. Or even dying can be a win for me, if I feel like I didn't do the killer's game or gave him a free kill, because even if you're doing ok, bloodlust will get you eventually.
In the end, I just want to have fun, either "winning" or "losing". I don't care too much about it.
-
I won't say quite often, because I don't have that many offerings, but I usually burn at least 1 in the days I play killer, if I have a map I like.
But there are many maps I just don't like, like Yamaoka (I can't see anything there), that I refuse to burn. That said, if I'm playing killer for the points, I will burn any offering that raises my total rewards. Luckily I get in a map I enjoy
-
I agree. The map barely has anything to work with anyway, just a giant dead zone. Or at least put a cemetery on it to represent my end there hahaha
-
I knew DbD exist for about one and a half year, I guess, since I've seen one of my favorite streamers playing now and then, but it never really caught my attention, even when I grabbed it free from psn.
When a friend of mine said there was a Silent Hill chapter coming, I was excited to play something about it. So me and my friends agreed to try the game together.
Once that was set, I started looking for tutorials on youtube and I pretty much watched Pain Reliever's videos for beginners, from where I started. I also watched other streamers later to get more advanced tips and I did the in game tutorial too. But I was still total trash in my first games. I guess nothing beats experience.
-
My biggest regret was prestiging my Plague to get better add ons... I lost all my good perks for her, the add on rarity barely makes a difference and gonna have to spend a lifetime to get everything back, even tough I'm far beyond level 50 with her.
I probably will never prestige anyone again.
-
As survivor it depends...
My most common build is: Bond, Open Handed, Kindred, Windows of Opportunity.
I may switch WoO for We're Gonna Live Forever, Borrowed Time, DS, Better Together, Leader, Prove Thyself, Balanced Landing, Stake Out, Detective's Hunch, Deception, Lithe or Desperate Measures.
Sometimes I go for loot build: Bond, Appraisal, Plunderer's Instinct and Ace in the Hole.
Slug build: Bond, Flip Flop, Tenacity, Unbreakable. And may switch any besides Bond for Soul Guard.
As for killer, I use whatever the killer has and feels best, but I'm loving Trails of Torment and Dark Devotion, so I try to use those too when I feel like it will be fun.
-
It started playing last year... so 477 hours so far. But I was so sure I had more than that? But probably because I still have hours from steam.
Thanks for the link
-
Bringing a gateau or BPS and be tunneled out of the game with 2k bloopoints. It seems it always happens like that.
-
I don't. It can be good and it can be bad, depending on the game. I think the perk is fun, but I will certainly frown if I'm on hook and someone is evading in the corner with the killer nowhere near. But it's not because of the perk. I'd have the same reaction if someone did it without it.
I have some good times running it and with teammates that were using it too.
I'll never forget when me, my friends and a random formed a line of urban evasion and started evading through Autohaven. Laughed so much. Depending on the game, it's just useless. I've seen people pulling awesome jukes while looping thanks to it too.
About the looks of it, I also think it's funny hahahah.
-
Unless the killer is determined to a slugfest, it's totally worthless, other than for a "challenge".
I think it's fun to use it sometimes and for memeing, but it's just downsides, basically. The grunts of pain should be reduced at least 75% in my opinion. Besides, I'm on the team that thinks it should be reworked to something else like... maybe applying exposed status effect for the whole trial, so that the killer doesn't know you have it right away and you can even trick the killer with it and have chances to get yourself up.
-
They are buffing both survivor and killer perks that are less used. They're just taking their time to adjust things. About Red Herring, I think you need strategy to use it. It's not simply go into a locker, but it can be good to earn some time from the killer by patrolling an empty area for you to do your objective somewhere. You just have to have a build for it, just as other perks. I'm not sure it would need a buff.
About Bond, I always use if the survivor I'm playing has it. I may not pick myself up from the ground, nor be able to farm a teammate being camped, but I can have information that may avoid slugging with a killer using Infectious, as example. I will know where not to run in chases, or where to go in need of help or to achieve the objectives faster, or when to leave an area if the chases person is coming. I gladly use it in exchange for any of these perks, because it allows me to adapt my game super fast and coordinate myself to maximum efficiency.
I get your point about meta, but they're working on the other perks so that you can get different gameplays, especially fun ones.
-
People try hard on both sides. That's why I keep myself out of red ranks as survivor and stay at green or yellow as killer: I can have lots of fun and try killer I know nothing about. And if I depip as result, the better hahahaha
If I pip, that's how life goes.
-
I played yesterday on Lery's against a ps4Huntress and all those miracle hits that go through walls, corners and everything you love were there, as they normally do.
Maybe because I'm also on console? I don't know. But I like Lery's in the end... Just don't like the totems spots that much.
-
I think it depends on what I want to do.
Sometimes if I have it on the killer, I run Thanatophobia. But I tend to go for fun things.
I'm using Dark Devotion and Trail of Torment quite a lot lately or other builds that may confuse the survivors when used by that killer. If they manage to do the gens, they did, if not, they didn't. And that's it.
At least I have fun hahaa
-
I somedays run it and it's been quite useful sometimes, but I have to say you need to use in SWF, and maybe with at least 2 friends, because there is no indicator you have it for your teammates.
If they watch carefully, they can notice the timer isn't going down, but... I noticed people don't really even notice that.
As example, yesterday I was camped at second stage by a Legion, it would be useful to get some gens done, but my teammates didn't do the gens and stood all nearby and farmed me.
So it's not really worth it. I'd suggest they add a indicator to every other survivor, so that you know how to take advantage of it, if viable. But I like it. I wish it worked on the first phase too, to punish even more camping.
-
Some of my friends only like to play PvP, unfortunately. So I only have a few choices to play with them and they're quite addicted to DBD. So that's one reason I play this game as often as I do.
I also play as killer and do solo eventually, but not as much as I play with my friends. Most of the times I'm with them I have fun. If we have enough friends we even do KYF and that's awesome, because I can try perks I still don't have on ranked mode.
Besides, both as killer or survivor, there are days the game is really fun, there are days that it isn't. When it's not, I usually switch to another game. Also, I try to play this game at least every now and then because I bought quite a lot of skins and I wanna get some value out of them, even if it's to lose... lose pretty hahahahah
But I try to stay away from red ranks. In my experience, there you don't usually see much variety on perks or anything, so it's less fun too.
-
If the killer is doing poorly and some questionable choices, I personally just presume the NOED is coming, that's no big deal.
I actually think it's fun when I'm talking to my friend in the middle of the match and we're something like "Can you feel it in the air? Smells like NOED is coming" hahaha And then we bet which of use may be the lucky one to be camped right next to the totem. Sometimes when we're finishing a gen some of us two say "Are you ready? Here it comes". It's funny.
But on a more serious note, I just have to say that I actually get surprised when the killer is doing poorly and don't have NOED. A daily maybe? Because when I do dailies I most likely don't have even have NOED and play worse than usual as killer (because of not beind used to the power). But I'd rather not use it though. Depending on the way the survivor choices, you can get a pip (which makes more likely you'll go against people more skilled than you) and feed the future MMR telling you're better than you actually are because of it.
As killer, I'm trying to perform as I do hoping that with the MMR I'll get more people up to my level, actually. If this makes sense.
-
Playing with friends involves talking to them, so you know it's not gonna happen. Besides, not all swf are of 4 people and you probably run against swf of at least 2 all the time.
You probably also defeated many 4 man swf, but just don't realise and are focusing on a loss you had... I don't know.
But anyway, friends are gonna be friends and there's nothing you can do.
-
For me it made no sense not be faster while injured and... the scenario you just described doesn't depend on the 20% speed bonus while walking and it's not OP too. If you're injured, you're an easy down. Also, once the killer knows you have sprint burst, they will likely wait for it to attack you.
I don't think it will make a huge impact, but it will encourage a variation of perks.
-
Surveillance depends on the survivor leaving the gen to activate, while tinkerer activates when it's 70% done.
That means if the survivor never stop repairing since the start of the game, it will never glow white nor yellow for you as killer. Besides, the yellow aura only stays up for so long and there's no notification. So if you don't pay attention to all gens, you can miss one that's being repaired.
And on top of that, Pig is a paid killer, while Hillbilly is for free, so it's easier to get Tinkerer than Surveillance.
Edit: I just wanted to make clear that Surveilance doesn't mark any generator that begin to be repaired from 0 (since it's not regressing). It will only tell you about ones that had at least some work on it when the survivor started working on it.
-
This and Shelter Woods! OMG, makes me sad for using Windows of Opportunity.
Opportunity for me in Autohaven or Shelter Woods? Not today hahahahaha
That's why I want them to rework the pallet system thing they said they would ASAP. But thankfully, with the mid chapter I hope I won't have to see Autohaven often too.
-
They're working on him, and thinking on what they'll do, if I remember correctly from the last stream they did.
I don't think it should base kit, because then it wouldn't make sense on survivors deactivating them (as they'd be seconds after on again) and you could block some parts of the map with it. If you could crouch walk through them, like other killers' power, then maybe, but that also would make sense for me.
So the add on I think it should be as it is. And I'm also waiting to see what they'll do with the Trapper later, since I'm sure it won't be just this RNG update they're doing. At least I'm hoping so.

check it again matter of fact I'll save you the trouble a survivor with an active reverse bear trap is automatically sacrificed when they're timer expires or if they attempt to leave the trial with an active reverse bear trap still attached is what it says check it again. LEAVE THE TRIAL so nea should be dead
Yeah, you're rigth. It was the patch notes and the wiki that made it clearer. But anyway, no the hatch doesn't count in the leave trial things exatcly to prevent this kind of situation. She should not be dead, it was always like this.
-
About the hatch escape, the description of RBT is very clear that it will trigger if the survivor try to escape through the gates, and gates only. You can check that out when you look at her power's description.
But other than that, it's a gg.
-
As survivor... I'd tell myself not to be afraid to die and take risks, as I would play way too safe at the start. To try some new things like 360, go for "weird" ways in chases and other things, not caring if you're gonna get down in 10 seconds, because if you die, you'll learn from what worked and what not and will come back stronger from it.
I'd also say be careful to approach a hook if everything is suddenly too quiet against Bubba.
As killer, I wish I knew lower sensitivity on controller would be lifechanging and would try different sensitivities from the start, until I find the one fit for me. Because until then, I missed survivors everytime and missed hits way more often than now.
-
I don't really think so.
They're trying to avoid annoucing unfinished features (what is good thinking on The Twins). And some things are better announced that way.
-
I usually play on PS4, so I don't get any messages there.
On steam, I usually get no messages from teammates, when I'm on solo (what's also rare, because I don't do solo as much on pc). The last time I got a message on steam, it wasn't even for me, it was a killer that started cursing a player that disconnected before last hook when he was tunneling him and I just replied I had nothing to do with that and he got mad out of that... but whatever.
I rarely play killer on steam (because they're all under leveled, so I'd rather play on PS4), but when I do, I also don't get messages or, when I manage to kill the survivors, get ggs or thanks, because I usually give the last survivor the hatch.
But that's it.

Bond doesn't benefit other people. It benefits you.
If you want to help other people play cooperatively you run Kindred and Aftercare.
I have had killers accuse us of being SWF multiple times because I run these two perks along with Blood Pact. The amount of information you give your teammates is invaluable.
The build I have on Dwight is Aftercare, Kindred, Blood Pact and Iron Will. It is a super good build. Doesn't look like much and your survivor fundamentals need to be good as you have no defenses other than Iron Will. But If your team isn't absolute trash they really play much better with the info you give them.
No, I didn't mean my Bond help other people. I just mentioned it because I usually run OH + Bond.
What I meant is that many times no one uses other aura reading perks that may benefit from OH, just that. As I do like Aftercare, I don't think it's so consistent aura reading as Bond, because of the requirements. But Kindred is another perk I use often.
And both AC and Blood Pact doesn't really benefit from OH also.
But back to Bond, I think the fact I know what's going on the whole match helps me adapt myself towards what the team needs, especially when I run it with Kindred. I'd say that directly it doesn't help others, but it's good towards the team.
-
It depends on who I'm playing with and the build I'm running.
If it's looting build. I'm gonna get all those items.
If I'm wiith randoms or people in swf that I don't know so well, I usually go for a gen or, if we spawned together (I run bond), I look for a gen on the distance. If possible, middle gen.
If I'm with closer friends it depends on what we wanna do that match. I can go for totems, hide, hop on a gen, look for the killer.
-
I think I've never seen one so far, both on my PS4 and Steam... I'm not sure if in one game I watched the killer was hacking or lag switching something, cause everybody but him was rubberbanding. But out of that, thankfully never seen.
I guess there are less hackers here in South America.
-
I love aura readings too and Open Handed is also the base of my main build, with Bond...
But I must say that often no one else besides me benefit from it. I think it's hard to see other people running aura reading perks, but when they do it's very nice.
I like Open Handed so much I chose it to be my avatar :P
-
I actually I always felt very annoying that he could keep that chainsaw 99 for forever if he wanted to. So I'm very ok this was put in check.
And I don't know... I know you guys wanted things to be balanced considering good survivors, but I don't know how many are good (?). I consider myself very mediocre as both killer and survivor. So if the average isn't that good, I think this should be put into account too.
I think Billy is harder to play now. When I played him before the changes I didn't think he was that hard to use and even managed to get some chainsaws (no, nothing close to those 7 in a single match they wanted after the changes hahaha). I always use the turn add ons, but... While in some maps it may be hard to navigate him, I think way too many was quite easy... even to bait the loop in order to get the chainsaw hit.
I never been to red ranks as killer (got to purple as max) and try not to be red as survivor, but I always thought that the no cooldown was just too much on open maps or with poor loops, that is getting more and more common.
And before anyone tell me to get good (hahaha yeah, maybe one day I'll get there, who knows), the game is supposed to be fun too while you're at it. So... yeah, I like the overheat in favor of us mediocre players.
On the other hand they're balancing maps to favor other killers too, so let's see.
-
I hate Shelter Woods, as I hate Autohaven and the deadzone ColdWild Farm variaton map that I don't remember the name (the nome with the shack on the middle). I don't know how they allow so many deadzones to be on a single map.
I'd rather play on Hawkins or The Game anytime than any of these maps.
-
You're quite lucky you're playing her on PC. You can do some shanenigans to spread the puke that I cannot in my PS4. She was my first killer and I love her, but I gave up after so many times hitting a survivor with the puke without registration.
And it's worse when you have your corrupt purge and it just doesn't land. But before it was even worse because the puke was bugged in its arc.
I think she is really powerful, but it doesn't matter when you can't land your hits.
-
I had people dying for the entity for me when they clearly could have escaped in some fun matches I didn't so well, but didn't camp or tunnel anyone.
On the other hand, I don't care about piping do much. Actually, if I see I'm going towards red ranks and the killer wasn't playing "scummy", I often do give them my kill. If I noticed they're doing a daily like "use Demo full charged shred", I even stand still so they can land the attack. Sometimes me and my friends all die in the end game. It just depends on how the trial was.
I'd say that right now it's rare that a killer gives hatch, though I think it's polite. This week I even made some new friends by giving hatch on steam. But you have all kind of survivors, just as you have all kind of killers.
-
They're outdated on their mechanics. Things changed in the game, as how the exhaustion works, but the add ons stayed the same. So I think it's correct that they get addressed.
-
I never turned the PTB on here and I also never had to check the integrity on my pc, at least so far (I play this game since last June). Maybe because I never tried PTB it doesn't bug as much
-
BL sometimes lets me down, when there's nowhere to use it... but from all perks, besides Head On (that doesn't really help in chases imo), it's the only one I remember I have and position myself to gain some advantage. I don't like sprint burst because of managing the exhaustion, but with the Fixated buff I might give it a try.
-
I plan on leveling him up to use him more, but I didn't prestige even my mains. Poor boy Quentin won't be the one to receive the treatment hahahha
-
For me it's meh. I never cared for FNAF and always thought it was just silly. But I won't say "don't do it". For me it's just that... I don't care for it.
-
Right now my favorite is Pig. If I'm eating pallets over and over I don't get as mad because she does that awesome cute "iiiih" when she is stunned hahaha. Besides I can stealth, have in game slow down mechanics and I LOVE THE SAW FRANCHISE.
Then I like Plague. I love puking everywhere and the way she walks. I also love her music at the menu screen. She was my first main and if the puke didn't bug so much, I'd play with her more often. I also love all of her perks.
I kind of like playing Clown, but I'm horrible with him. After those 2 he is the one I play the most. If not Clown, Legion, because of their skins and the fact I can make a lot of points even doing bad.
I don't like playing Oni, because I can't control his power. I play mostly on console and can't aim, so I don't know why I bought Deathslinger and Huntress is also out of my possibilites. Besides, I hate listening to her lullaby the whole game.
-
I like the idea to make it like kindred, but for slug. But I'm not sure about the aura reading thing, since the perk lets you read the killer's aura. Maybe if it there was a trade there... why not?
-
We won't get everyone to top tier. Nor do I think everybody wants to be. Some people just play the game for their fun, do their best and it may not be enough to ge them through the kills or escape and that's ok.
I always make sure I don't pip too much when I reach the purple ranks because I don't want the sweat of red ranks and I know other people are like that too. Besides you get way more variety in gameplays, killers and everything at middle ranks that are fun. So... that's my answer.
