Being able to personalize the lobby/music. We had so many cool themes over the years, i´d really like to get them back.

Any killers or dlc that you own, that has their own unique themes and lobby, should be accessible to you at any time. With a lot of the cool themes and soundtracks coming and going, it'd be nice to be able to customize your home lobbies with them.

  • It would be better to just give blood warden an alternate, easier, trigger method. Maybe reduce it's time to compensate?

  • Aside from everything that has been said, I mostly like him because he is the only killer than can affect skillchecks. This can make even good survivors miss a lot of checks with the right perks.

  • May as well have the entity destroy all of the hooks if everyone is never going to let NOED be.

It's a fair perk and sees very little play, if you can't do bones it's your own teams fault.

  • Spine Chill:

Mostly because a large number of survivors that use it, just crouch and hide way too much and get nothing done. As a survivor it's annoying when your team drags you down and causes a loss just because they're scared. Otherwise, it is a great preemptive perk.

As a killer most meta perks are expected so I don't mind them. But as a survivor any perks that enable bad habits is just a big no no.

  • Funny last time I posted something about a hacker it was taken down in less than 2 minutes. I did drop gamer tag and honestly was not aware about the naming and shaming rules. But I understand them and respect them since then, but on the other hand these people are blatant hackers.

It's not like we are dox-ing them but its whatever. The few hackers I have encountered I have fully filed a ticket to BHVR through their methods and never received any feedback. So, hackers are never going to be dealt with anytime soon regardless of what they say.

  • Yeah, I stopped playing over a month ago and have honestly been doing better, mentally speaking. Playing killer just got so boring and predictable because survivors just pick one playstyle and that's it, that is nearly every single game.

Switching to survivor just got awful real fast with all of the constant camping. Camping close to end game is understandable, but killers just camping every hook that they can get is just terrible. With the recent boon totems and survivors all realizing how broken med-kits and fast healing is it really has pushed them towards this angle.

Take my advice and just stop playing for a while. I know this game is fun and I like it, but with how static the gameplay is and over competitive it makes everyone it just isn't worth it.

The extreme toxicity and steady increase in hackers I have encountered just made me realize enough was enough.

  • I was SOOOOOOOOO hyped to come back to the game finally......

Should've expected this from Scott, oh well. I will continue to enjoy not playing this game with the way it's going.

  • They were injured, but I couldn't tell if they did use dead hard at that time, if they did the animation didn't play for dead hard.

I checked their perks and neither one had mettle of man, and only 1 had dead hard, so I am not sure what it is.

  • I swear to god that when I bring kindred my team purposely leaves me on the hook as long as possible anymore. And a lot of the time I get rescued literally 1 second to late and lose an entire hook state because of this. It makes solo queueing painful and agitating, when I play with a friend so many elements are easier to maintain.

Solo queue is just a huge gamble, because I have seen horrible teammates throw pallets, give free hits, and just sandbag the hell out of everyone because instead of playing as a team everyone only cares that they survive.

  • Camping is becoming mainstream at this point. Camping at the last 1 or 2 gens isn't that bad, but when most killers I face now just camp whenever they get a hook is just dumb. And for some reason BT isn't as common as it used to, still see it a lot and I always use it. But when I am camped and don't get rescued until my 2nd hook state is forced, then all the killer has to do is tunnel you and dead.

For the killer that is obviously good, but the poor survivor barely gets a few thousand points, but most importantly they don't even get to play the game. Just watching your team fumble around, even when I bring kindred, is just getting sad especially with all of these campers. I am not talking proxy camping here, I mean literal just waiting around the corner with for a rescuer to come and interrupt them camp.

This just makes matches a complete waste of time for the 1 survivor, and boring for the whole team because it's just rush gens as fast as possible to get out. I can only play like 3 matches in a day at this point.

  • I'm sure all of the killers would eventually get one. But I would prefer if they made them in the order the killers were originally released.

  • I can already tell you so many more survivor deaths/mistakes are being made because everyone wants to bless totems instead of doing gens or opening exit gates.

Had a match were the survivor could've escaped if only the opened the gate, but instead the decided to waste so much of their time blessing a totem. By the time I got their they got downed at about 96% progress. As soon as I was able to luckily dodge the killer, I ran, opened the gate, and they DC'd because they wouldn't get out before the killer picked them up.

This is just one of the many instances a survivor could've escaped, or avoided a hook, just because of these totems. Given that the totem spawns are the same semi random they have always been, they are easy to find and not as broken as everyone says they are, unless the killer decides to ignore them.

  • You played an account that had nothing tracked, yet you had max rank perks and everything already?

Personally I have yet to encounter the infinite loading problem, but I have heard it's been going around.

Yeah, problem is that you can't fix it without nerfing end game camping, or proxy camping and those should stay imo.

Maybe affect timer based on how many gens are left? That might do the trick.

Modifying hook timers as a base mechanic is just a bad idea. Killers will abuse shorter hook times to eliminate players faster. And survivors will abuse longer hood timers to focus on gens/totems before making a rescue.

I honestly think what we have now is just the best we can do, they made some perks to help against camping, but they only do so much.

My real problem is the poor survivor that gets camped. I have had some matches were I get absolutely nothing. No bloodpoints, I lose pips, and grade progress, and MMR rank all because the game thinks I did nothing. In reality the killer found me 1st and downed me fast and I just get the short end of the stick. Going into a match just to lose everything and get to do nothing is the worst feeling ever.

  • My crossplay has been turned off, noticed a symbol next the "searching for match" text in the bottom right.

It says I can re enable it in the options but its gone. Unless I am blind I went over all of my menus and just can't find it, I dont know why it was changed after the patch.

But not I realize why my queue times were long.

  • Facecamping for me is sorta rare so I feel like no one really builds specifically around this tactic.

But I have always make kindred base kit and it helps so much in solo, not just camping but everything.

Camping is okay at end game or 1 gen remaining. But very 1st down near the start is just scummy.

  • Or some of you can stop over relying on very specific perks to carry your killer every single game.

Stridor is still nice and not every single survivor brings iron will, but even then if your running past survivors because you can't hear their loud breathing try a different form a tracking.

Footsteps cannot be hidden or reduced in anyway, iron will is pointless when they start running near your position so I don't get why some killers want such a replicable perk back.

Alongside all the killer powers/perks that make survivors scream and reveal themselves I don't see a big deal with stridor's current function.

  • Either they build to camp or play normally and are sorta bad about bumping into things.

  • I mean the game itself I really like and will play.

Boycotting the game because of the developers wont do anything. People act like industries today don't already destroy so much more of the environment than BHVR ever could on their own lol.

But I don't support what BHVR is doing especially when all they are making is something completely digital and not tangible in any way

  • Their odds need to be adjusted, not guaranteed. But in truth all offerings are worthless. Just extra BP and not much else, luck is neglegible, and moris are not that great.

  • Genrush?? Bro, not a single one of the brought prove thyself and there was only 1 toolbox.

The new part is strong but you have ruin and undying, like what do you want? Are survivors not allowed to bring anything at all? Do you want them to run with no items and perk less but you the killer can have all the strong perks and add-ons no problem?

It's just the way of the game, everyone can bring whatever they want. Plus if their is ruin and they can't find it, it's not like they can just leave gens half done, you are basically forcing them to do them as fast as possible/

  • He has an irridescent add-on that hides the boxes' aura until the chain hunt activates so that could be a possibility.

But if you can't find, or get to, the box before chain hunt activates just be patient. As someone said the passive chain power attacks in waves of 3 chains. Try to dodge them and wait until they stop and start working on the box.

Either way if he teleports to you, or you complete the box, the passive chain hunt power is reset.

  • Always NOED huh? Sounds like you should start doing bones for once.

  • About half a year ago I encountered a cheater. Instant heals, infinite flashlight, speed hacks, everything. So I report him afterwards through BHVR support and submit a ticket, with all of the info they require.

Have not heard a single thing from them at all since then. Not even a confirmation email which is just plain stupid.

  • Their should be a setting in the options menu where all ranged killers can have the ability to see where their abilities will strike/land.

I understand the need to have learning curves for these strong abilities but it really discourages many people from learning these powers, especially since you have to play pvp to use them. And no I don't count custom games.

  • Honestly, if exhaustion caused survivors to breath louder and/or double the noise of footsteps for it's duration, that alone would be a fair cost to all the powerful speed perks.

Unbreakable and decisive are already fair because they are a 1 time use and done.

  • All they need to do is just add a standard skill check when a surivivor begins repairing a gen that is regressing.

Just a standard check, no fancy effects or extra regression, this alone would help solve gen tappers.

Ok maybe a special check that has no great skill check spot.

  • Given a large number of pallets and jungle gyms there are in most maps it does sound nice, but not a good idea.

Bloodlust is already a thing, even though it isn't a great one.

But the main issue with this perk idea is you are not considering any killer powers combined with this. Killers with ranged attacks would be so much stronger being able to close distances and land their strikes much faster. Every other killer would just be that much harder to escape.

Making killers faster to win just isn't a very good and boring idea.

  • Yeah usually the 4th one is silent but not always. But this has been happening to all of the gens over time.

  • Hex perks are already a gamble wether you get any value or not out of the which is why i rarely use them.

Boon perks on the other hand can be recycled as much as survivors want and the killer cant even break the totem, already they have way more value than hexes.

  • It's an information perk, and doesn't promote anything. Most of the time it goes off while a killer is in a chase, they either have to throw off the survivor they are chasing or try to race back to the gen as fast as possible and even there still probably isn't enough time to save it.

Your training wheel build is a standard gen regress build, without any regression practically no killer has any chance on any map of even getting 2 kills let alone more. Besides survivors have more than enough perks to counter stealth completely and generators can be done fast enough as it is.

Tinkerer needs no change and is perfectly fine the way it is, it is a killer perk completely controlled by the survivors.

Ghostface: Cod liver oil - Replenishing the synovial fluid in joints helps keep you limber. Teabag considerably faster

Trapper: Cash wad - Traps are placed with a wad of bank notes, tempting those to put there hand in

Pyramid head: Gloss Finish - You could easily do your makeup in the pyramids reflection, flashlight beams are deflected back into the faces of those shining them.

It would be genuinely hilarious to just be able to blind survivors for once haha.

Too quickly for them and their make-believe belief that he couldn't have done anything differently to stop that gen from going. It has nothing to do with the reality of the situation considering behavior has statistics on their end and from what I see on streams, other killers aren't having trouble getting a 4k.

This entire forum is full of mainly killer mains so there is no point in responding after this. One thing is for sure, even if gen speeds were extended a majority of you would defend face camping as you're doing now. I'm advocating for a solution that is balanced in favor of both parties. If you guys are okay with Face camping then good for you but I'm not.

Funny how you presume so much about taking side but you are very wrong, I used to play lots of killer but have mainly switched to survivor.

But If you want a solution to camping that is a lot harder than we all know. The best in game example I can draw from is pyramid head's cages. They place the survivor somewhere away from the killer and out of sight, and if the killer gets close it moves. Obviously this is killer specific and was somehow implemented as a base mechanic with hooks. Well camping would be impossible but wouldn't be a great fix in my opinion.

Pausing the timer when the killer was near the hook failed in the past so lets just throw that out the window.

Phasing the killer to swipe air is your best bet along with at least 1 or more other survivors to rescue, potentially with BT.

The perks I mentioned before do help to some degree, but worst case is you have bubba camping so lets focus on that.

Bubba's chainsaw can be toggled until he needs to use it, baiting it out is really the only strategy as once he starts using it he cannot stop and takes a long time to recover before using it again. Trading with BT is always an option although not the best. Faking an unhook if you have dead hard or sprint burst is always an option if your brave. Anything else would require a new mechanic to be added or changed and i am honestly not sure how to go about that without it being able to be abused too much like the last one.

Those things only work on m1 killers and only versus very bad ones.

I wasn't around for that implementation so I can't comment on how good or bad it was. If it was active at endgame then it was implemented poorly and if the radius was too large that is bad as well. I'm talking about face camping easiest swing of your life distance that needs to be negated early game.

I'm sorry but if you have a problem with that you're part of the problem. Plenty of killers 4 k consistently without doing any of this " viable strategy" .. So basically, you're okay with sucking the enjoyment out of thousands of players to please the face camping Leatherface. Good for you man.

All I am going to say is that from the very start of the game the killer is at their lowest and only gains any advantage when either a survivor dies or has multiple ones hooked/down. Most killers that camp simply do it because of how long it takes them to get their 1st down. With the current survivor meta perks, and every one rapidly switching to those perks exclusively, being so strong and powerful I guess some killers just want to avoid a 4 survivor escape.

I don't encourage camping in any way as it is very boring for everyone. But it seems like many killers would rather force a survivor to come to them, rather than chase them for several minutes. I am not even going to mention the obscene number of pallets and vaults survivors get to escape, but the fact that they can just dead hard and make you start your chase all over again is demoralizing. I am against camping but I do understand why the declining killer rates do it.

  • No. Camping is a, while scummy, but viable killer strategy. Survivors have more than enough perks to help remedy this like camaraderie, kindred, borrowed time, and several others.

And in the end the killer is giving up so much generator pressure just to maybe secure 1 kill. Besides the devs did at one point have a system where if the killer was very close to a hooked survivor the time would pause. Of course you can imagine that survivors did abuse the heck out of this and was quickly removed.

It does suck when it happens to you, but you can't forcibly change the way everyone plays constantly. It's just part of the game.

  • Like you said those meta perks are simply the most effective and universal perks in the game. Also so many other perks are just very bad and conditional.

I sometimes like to make a chest hunting build or a team information build, I play solo only. But the meta perks are just too good and rewarding for nearly any situation.

When I bring a chest build: Plunderer's Instinct, Ace in the Hole, Pharmacy, and Appraisal. It is nice to get a lot of potential quality items for myself and to leave for teammates, but when other survivors search chests before I get to them, my entire build is already less effective. If the killer finds me early suddenly I have to deal with a chase with no supportive perks at all. Worst is if you are found and focused most of the game and by the end of the match I just feel discouraged to use such situational builds.

But many of the other perks require ridiculous conditions to meet and are still very situational for when they are used. That or they work in very specific scenarios for a very short time, and do absolutely nothing the rest of the match.

Meta perks can be used whenever and almost as much as the survivors want which makes them the most attractive options compared to other perks.

  • I feel like that is very evil and effective. Mostly because of the lack of knowledge of totem spots.

  • I solo and don't have too much of an issue and I can loop and focus objectives pretty easily against most killers/maps. I have gotten really good at looping and love making killers waste time most of the game.

My main issue with solo queue though is if I don't have kindred, it really hurts the team and suddenly nothing is getting done and several people are simply wasting valuable time running at the hook. Worse is if I have no info, doing a generator and half done, I feel compelled to try to finish my gen just hoping someone else gets the rescue. And if that backfires it costs a hook state for some one and most of the time they just DC.

I like kindred and it is one of the best solo perks, but I get tired of my base kit being a few select perks just to give my team info. Also this is presuming my team is at least decent, but my god some other solo survivors are worse than potatoes and nothing can fix that.

I know there is alot of perks for information in many situations, but if survivors could see auras of their team on while doing a gen i feel like that could help solo queues a bit.

A sfw group obviously counters all of this and has general knowledge of the killer location nearly all game, which is incredibly unfair. So no need for any info perks and the killers info perks could be potentially pointless.

  • I played against a clown and they seem to work just fine. But I did notice that when I got hit by the edge of the toxin cloud my character screamed and reacted as if they got hit, but weren't affected. The same is true when I did play as clown

  • Honestly Plague needs to be reworked, mainly how her fountains work. It is way too easy for survivors to cleanse and still spam generators. Her vile Purge is great but just underused. She just needs to have some changes and made more relevant to the current state of the game and maps. But so do many other killers that have gotten absolutely nothing in regards to changes in years. Adding killers is great, but causing all of the others to be outdated as the games grows until BHVR feels like changing them is just lame.

  • I honesty feel like quality control with this game is just a running joke this studio has with itself. I first started around the time Ghostface was newly released, and racked up a couple thousand hours since then. Before they started these tome chapters the game was fairly decent for what it had. Game performance was amazing and bugs and exploits were rapidly addressed. Since they started doing these chapter passes I feel like they just care more about pushing stuff out on a schedule and seeing if how well it's going to work.

I would rather wait longer for chapters and updates if that meant a more efficient timeline of addressing and fixing crippling bugs and performance issues. Because since these cursed tome chapters every update there has been major issues. The worst of these is that they have constantly changed and extended so many event dates so often, it shows that BHVR knows they aren't doing a good job and think that is a good enough compensation.

I understand this game is demanding, coding is hard, but when your only single game mode is PVP with forced ranks, there has to be a better way they can go about things. Sure with the next chapter release they might include the fix for the RE map and some of the other current issues, but what bugs and problems are going to come next?

Sure, pushing as much content as they do on these consistent deadlines is giving players a lot of cosmetics, characters, killers, maps, perks, etc. But at what cost?

  • They should make a couple add-ons that prevent self escaping until a certain number of attempts. Like a couple tiers that prevent the first 1/2/3 self escapes and just roll the remaining 4-6.

  • I mean you people just need to learn how to cleanse bones. It is not that hard so stop whining. If NOED is activating that means as the survivors you have won, you did all 5 generators and just need to escape to survive.

If you really struggle and sweat super hard when NOED pops up it is your own dang fault, you brought this on yourselves.

NOED does not need any changes or balancing, like any hex it can be countered completely, just bring a map or one of the many other perks that show and track totems. They are also semi-randomized in set spawns so it's a matter of learning where to look.

Or there is a 100% fool-proof way of preventing NOED without doing any bones or triggering NOED since it is an endgame perk, just die before all of the generators are done that way you don't have to deal with it.

  • Honestly its mostly 50/50. Do I live though is the real question, but mainly I either carry the team or they do nothing and get killed off.

  • I feel like they should just remove the limit on the number of bear traps that Trapper can carry

Myers would be to clunky with that change

I feel like Pig is outdated and need some changes, add-ons for more traps, and maybe some base mechanic changes. Not sure what though at the moment.

My main issue with the Twins is that so many of their add-ons revolve around Victor, and that how short lived they are. Like the Iridescent one that exposes a survivor for 12 seconds when they kick him while idle. Most likely Charlotte is too far away to make any use out of it unless the survivor is chased into him.

  • Bring at least one information perk like kindred, bond, detective hunch, etc.

Otherwise everyone has no idea when to do gens or when to go for an unhook. Which can lead to unnecessary hook phase losses and gens simply never getting done.

  • I personally have not had problems myself, but when some one else lags it is obvious. It doesn't directly affect me either, unless I do something like pick them up from the ground.

  • Yeah the sad part is that Trickster actually has a fun personality and feel when playing. He is fun to play as but just horrid against survivors that are even moderately decent at the game. The fact that he has to spend so much time throwing knives and landing multiple hits in a short time is just bad all around for the way this game is played. Why they felt this was a need to give him reduced stats just doesn't make sense.

I feel like the devs are just going to shelf this killer for a very long time, mostly because nobody plays as him, and he would likely need to be reworked as much as Freddy was when he was first released.
