@HIPSTERLION do you think people care, they don't get anything so they won't play. I'm talking about the average player not myself. It's literally going to be dead after this week.PLAYER AVERAGE!? Literally everyone here just hit you with a train of downvotes, and all the console players are begging to play, and there is new threads about the PTB daily.
You are representing only yourself, and your little group.

really? is this thread serious or just trolling? hahaha....let me guess, you are killer main?Would you prefer the current system of hatch standoffs until one gets bored?
Or the PTB system where the survivors take the game hostage, because they didn´t bring a key and can´t be bothered to fix a gen?How can they fix a gen? Killers can (proven by stats) patrol much faster than one can complete a gen, and can regress it.
So do not screw up and end alone versus killer and 3 gens to complete. Why killer should be punished for survivor's mistakes?
It’s the survivor also being punished, for other survivors mistakes. That’s why the hatch is even a thing....
And it’s not punishment, you’re not being stolen from; wait did you think you’re supposed to always kill the 4th person, when for balance sake every game is meant to be 2 kill, 2 escapes?

Just allow Killer to see what survivors are SWF and the problem will solve itself.SWF will always get dodged then. That will create another problem.

Before we deal with dodging, we need to deal with people purposefully deranking in order to be matched with players that aren’t as good them so they can get easy wins (I’m not talking about rank 1 down to rank 8. I’m talking about rank 1 to rank 15). It’s just not fun at all. Anyone who does this is extremely toxic in my opinion and does not deserve any respect from me at all. I know some people don’t have a lot of time to play or can’t play when the ranks reset, but I think that they are outnumbered. As much as I hate DCs, I will say that I don’t want a leaver penalty. Wait, don’t use your pitchforks yet! I say this because it’s not fun to stay in a match that’s being held hostage or has multiple exploiters/hackers. Some people also might have to leave for a good reason, and it’s not fair to punish them. The current system BHVR has in place right now is good because it means you can leave a game that’s full of cheaters or because you need to go do something else and you won’t be punished. You have leave 30% or 40% of your games to be banned.
I’m forced to smurf new killers because of emblem system slowing down ranking up, as well as me not playing survivor enough. PITY ME! Wait.....I mean PITY THEM!

People forget the fact that the perk also gives you knowledge on the amount of people who are near the hook.Funny....killer mains always tell me it doesn’t ruin stealth, and that hiding behind a generator masks your aura....so who’s wrong here? You, are the literal thousands of killer mains denying any reasoning to buff stealth? Actually curious. I main doc, so I understand the whole “stealth is ruined”.
I don't even know what you are on about... what did I say wrong?
Not you I’m complaining about, it’s just people who demand that I play stealth, while running bbq, whispers, all on billy.
-
Yes it’s fair, just makes more toxicity though. Both can’t be debated. Life is hard...
-
No, no, no. The hatch changes are horrible because of what they will cause. As a doc main, I’m mad they’re changing it. Can’t wait to have a survivor hide and do nothing every match for 40 minutes.
Either kill them completely super easy like reveal aura, or just keep the hatch as a free win, anything in between will cause games to be held hostage amass.

I don't consider DS to be fine only for a matter of balance.
DS isn't fun. At all.
It just feels wrong to get punished, especially early game, for catching someone.
Not to mention it allows non-obsession to get caught next to the basement, and to wiggle off before being hooked there, which is basically rewarding a huge mistake with some HUGE benefits. Not to mention one easy thing :
Being obsession should NOT allow you to survive LONGER.
Obviously, Dying Light makes this statement arguable, but Dying Light is underused and arguably VERY weak. And most killer obsession perks also EXTEND the obsession's life, which doesn't feel quite right.I think spending a perk slot, a painting a target on your back is fine for a single extra health state. It doesn’t punish the killer at all, that would suggest the killer did something wrong. It’s merely a bonus health state for a perk slot.
If it worked only for obsession (my nerf idea for DS is its own thread) it would be fine. Pallet looping a four used makes it ridiculous.
This "bonus state" is huge as it can break all the momentum a killer has on a game.
Not to mention that a single health state, in the early game, can cost you 1-2 gens easily. You're gonna tell me "Well, don't chase the obsession first then", and I'll tell you my previous argument : Why should an obsession perk be protecting a survivor while it should be BOTH a benefit and a downside ? At the moment, it's ONLY a benefit, and it's fundamentally wrong.
No, I’m gonna tell you my opinion is based on needs to survivor I discussed on another thread, and that DS only does that because of looping. The problem is looping, which shouldn’t be a thing.
They should make chases shorter and with more LOS breakers or blockers that prevent the killer from catching up as fast.
The problem is not only looping.
No looping doesn't always mean shorter chases. Some people can actually juke efficiently without looping.
It takes more skill, for sure. But DS Overly rewards it, too.
I don't consider that chases should be made shorter overall, as I still think the survivor skill should be relevant. But still, DS just allows way too much time wasting, especially early game, and is a nice protection for the DS user, while it should be both a bonus AND a downside to have such perks, considering it's an obsession perk.My suggested nerf for DS in another thread was to make it so only obsession can use it, everyone else can’t whatsoever. Unlike other obsession perks where everyone can use it,with some weakened version or hard to acquire. This would be simple.
One DS only is always better, and people would run it much less to avoid wasting a slot, or synergies with other obsession perks. Win win.

Looping isnt fun but as a survivor you want to live and that means not getting hit. So ofcourse people would tend to looping if that is what it takes to survive. Why purposely lower your chances of survival?
And face camping and tunnel vision increases your chance of killing. Why does the community hate it? Because its a cheap way of winning, abusing of what is somewhat mechanically "broken".
In theory what you said is right but in game its a different story.
Reach rank 1 Killer and play vs SWF, i promise you, your opinion will change. Its not about survival its abusing a mechanic that makes most killers a living joke, apart from Nurse and Huntress.
Except face camping isn’t the only option...you could also search for kills. Thing with survivor chases is, if the killer is competent, or a anti stealth killer; YOU WILL NOT LOSE HIM. You can easily get kills without camping.
And pallet looping isn't the only option aswell. Buddy, the killer IS supposed to get you eventually or else this game wouldn't make sense, that is why there are 4 survivors and multiple chances to be saved.
Either we aren't playing the same game or you never faced rank 1 survivors.
Never said it was the only option.
Killer should not have 100% chance to catch you if they are of equal skill, they should only catch you easily if they are better, otherwise it should be 50/50.
As it stands, survivors can waste too much time, but shouldn’t be able to. But they have to little chances to escape with bloodlust, no LOS breakers and all, and they need more of those.
All in all, survivors needs more chances to escape a chase, but much less ability to waste time.
Also,I main doctor at rank 1, my opinion hasn’t changed, and never will. You seem to think I said pallet looping is a good thing, it isn’t. It’s just currently optimal, and breaking chase is near impossible.
Having a differential on 1 stillallows the other to be used 1/0. However, using a inferior tactic that’s also near impossible due to no in game support in map structure, that only supports looping, it’s a differential of 2, so 1/-1.
I’d still try to break chase even if it was worse than loops, problem is I literally can’t.
Why is it that survivor mains have this belief they should always be equally as strong as the killer when there are 4 of them and 1 killer?
Also, you have my upvote for saying something totally valid, and not going at my throat because you don like what I say. Cheers

Not what I meant at all. I’m saying it should be very difficult to escape the killer, but not impossible. To put it simply, I’ve played in rank 1 killer many times, I’ve lost 2 survivors in all my time after I was experienced. That is a huge problem. I shouldn’t be impossible to escape, but I almost am.

It doesn’t matter to me how the devs intended things to be played in any game really in fact in a lot of cases it’s good when players play differently than the intented way.In this case I think it’s good people didn’t play the intended way and found out about looping because now like you said they may give us something better that we possibly would’ve never have gotten.
I always looked at pallet looping as getting the most value from our pallets while also using up the killers time. I think if they did give survivors something else they can nerf pallets so when a survivor sees a pallet they’re not like “ thank god there’s a pallet” and more like “oh there’s a pallet here I guess I’ll use this”Your glad that survivors found a way to exploit hitboxes and make more than 3 killers pretty much unplayable?
Your glad that an asymmetrical game is the exact opposite of what an asymmetrical game is supposed to be? I dare say i never heard of any online game where the smaller team is just there to be bullied and treated like ######### by the bigger team. And the matter of fact it is, it's now having to be fixed...what amazes me though is the devs would rather apply a ton of bandaid fixes then just revert the part of the patch that made this issue, unless these devs are purposely trying to piss off an entire playerbase into eventually leaving the game and letting it die as soon as something better comes out.
Sure I agree that survivors need more to do and such but pallet looping is not good for the game. period.
1) That’s an opinion, not that I disagree with it, but it shows your ideals are demand. That’s not a good thing.
2) You did not read what he said at all. From what you responded with, it seemed like you read “I’m glad pallet looping was added, it’s the best lolololol”
4) It actually said “pallet looping was a blessing in desguise, in that now the developers know about it, balance can be changed, and chases may finally be reworked to get rid of looping, and end chases faster with more escape in a single chase possible.”
5) People don’t care that you think pallet looping is bad, they’ll still do it because it’s optimal, reason people complain about face camping, is because it’s usually not, only at exit gates, the same period of time looping isn’t optimal.
6) People aren’t even talking about whether you should stealth or loop, they’re talking about what you should do once you’re IN a chase. The whole problem is how little LOS breakers their are, making it almost impossible.

As it stands, many perks compliment or counter each other. Lightweight, predator. Sole survivor and aura reading. Many other examples. But what about WGLF (were gonna live forever)? With the release of BBQ, it seems completely obsolete. It’s stacks are OBJECTIVLY more out of he way, and less free to get. Thus it’s harder to get points.
But not just that, BBQ has a VERY STRONG second ability, so should WGLF get an at least half way decent second ability too? Or be buffed back to 200%?
You’re are also welcome to discuss the balance of BBQ and WGLF as well.
BBQ is a killer perk.
Killers only got 4 perks slot total, and usually cannot afford to use a "PURE BP perk slot".
Not to mention the utility of BBQ is made to make survivors not to get camped or tunneled. They actually tried to make WGLF to give more BP (200%) at the release. And I can tell one thing : it was hell of a ride to find a round as survivor back then.
Even myself, a former killer player, was playing full survivor when WGLF got released.
And even if, back then, BBQ wasn't a thing, buffing back WGLF to 200% would GREATLY destroy the appeal of playing killer, especially in the current meta.So : WGLF is just fine atm, and yes, killers tend to get more BP than survivors overall, but it's a fair price to pay not to have to deal with that balancing mess that the killer side is.
True. True.

It's not about the fact there are meta, Dead Hard and the new BT are in the meta yet very few complain about them.DS is very usually the perk people complain about the most, for several reasons: a FREE get-out-of-jail perk, extremely frustrating on the killer side (denies a hook you deserved), and can be - in the right hands - potentially broken.
On the same fashion, people dislikes Self Care because the infinite heal is kinda against the core mechanics - and so are the killer perks / addons with wallhacks but they are all carefuly balanced (sometimes weak...) in order to not break the balance.
Sprint Burst just needs to have a condition like other exhaustion perks.
Same thing here as above. I believe those perks are only so bad because of the current state of looping.

@Jack11803WGLF provides a stackable bonus when protecting an Ally (taking a hit) or unhooking an ally. if I had taken a hit for my allies four times and there was one unsafe hook, Would that mean I took a hit for nothing? yeah. farming results in them getting a point plus chat toxicity.
On occasions, you would get insta-downed if injured or if it was a insta-down killer (eg Iridescent hatchet huntress) so you would've gotten a stack for basically nothing.
I worded it wrong. You won’t lirerally lose a stack you already have, just lose the one you got from that specific action if they got downed in 10 seconds.

That could be a nice bandaid until the fixes that are needed occur. Maybe even if they don’t choose still give the bonus at the end. Just give something.

This needs to be spread, and many must see it. It’ll help the communities health, because as someone who’s played survivor, I know this is totally true. It’s almost never meant to insult.
Usually fellow survivor communication, or a playful tease.
Let’s be real though, waiting at the exit gates WHEN YOU KNOW EVERYONE IS SAFE; is a little annoying.
Especially if I as killer need to walk over, or as survivor sit st he hatch while some goon is at the exit gate doing nothing.

Ruin is a NECESSITY more than an actual "OP perk".
BBQ is a nice way to reward people from playing killer in such a meta, with BP.He's not wrong. Ruin is absoloutely a necessity, else the match is gone before you know it. I think I mentioned this is my thread called “sad state of survivor balance” maybe I mentioned it elsewhere. Maybe on in specific nerf DS thread. It was that; DS itself is not actually OP, pallet looping is OP, and DS lets you pallet loop.
So with that, the problem isn’t DS, but loops. If pallet looping was much weaker, DS would be too, and the game would be healthier. Seeing how pallet looping will take a long time to remove, I believe a nerf for DS should just be, only obsession can use it. No injured Mumbo jumbo
I actually get where you're coming from that. The only thing I struggle to understand with DS is the fact that all the effort the killer put into a chase goes to waste because of a perk. But I do understand what you mean in terms of pallet looping.
Geez this chain is getting long. Don’t think of DS as punishment, it’s not. Merely an extra health state for survivors.

Tells you something about SWF then, don't it?
Indeed.

WGLF is fine as it is.WGLF makes the survivors go out of their own way to save others, while BBQ is achieved naturally throughout the match.
Besides we don't need more excuses for the survivors to farm each other.
That’s exactly why I think it needs a buff. It’s harder to get stacks, but causes farming. Make it so you don’t get a stack or lose one if unhook is unsafe. But give it some ability to match BBQ in power.
That’s how EVERY other perk that’s available for both teams works.

For No Mither, you should start the game healthy, but once you've been hit you can't heal after that. And there should be a bloodpoint bonus, as stated already. Many have stated on other posts, but making you start healthy with no mither ruins synergies. This buffing it that way would actually be an indirect nerf to its synergies.

From the feedback I’ve gotten, it’s seems the answer is no, which is good. Thank you for the posts and time. And an F to pay respects for that one downvote I got. I CRI EVRY TYM

I find it weird when a full swf team insult the killers by calling them noobs because they’re playing the game in the easiest setting for survivors but then insult the killer even though the killer is playing in the hardest setting.
I find the quoting system on this forum weird. Also; 100% this, I don’t get why either.

It’s just lore. Just the idea that maybe, in the future the survivors may be released from the entity’s realm. Lore, not gameplay.

Yeah, that’s what I’m saying, that’s SWF is op, but if they need survivors, solo queue is screwed, so they need to, although it would break immersion, add considerably more communication in game so SWF and Solo queue can both be nerfed without solo queue becoming a rotting corpse.

I've gotten so sick of posts trying to come up with changes ruining its purpose. I feel No Mither just needs a QoL change. Removing the injured music is the only change that would benefit the perk itself. Bloodpoints is fine but it should be very small. The idea of starting healthy ruins making builds around it. If a killer after they hit then sees you have no mither you're still going to be targeted like if you started injured. This is just my two cents. I'd like to hear some more ideas on the perk regardless how tired I am of these posts... ironic really. Take care everyone.Only buffs I see that wouldn’t ruin synergies, and I so dearly want, would be just a stronger iron will effect, and maybe bloodpoints. That’s it. That extra 50% diligence would help no mither players greatly.
Currently anyone with headphones can still easily hear the 50% reduced noises, not even mentioning strider.

You thought this post was gonna be survivor entitlement...but it was really me! Jack!

Anyone, any side; should get some form of punishment if their DC rate reaches 10%. No excuses in what killer has to deal with. My Dwight pic may fool you, but I main doc, get to rank 1; and from experience, there is NOTHING in this game worthy of a rage quit. Heck, in any game.
The whole point of rage quit is simple. YOU, o’ so victimized and beaten you, unreasonably lost your temper. Anyone has the capacity to suppress a temper with enough will. But not even that is needed.
Just don’t get mad to begin with. Survivor t-bags? So what? What’s the personally pressing crouch gonna do? You get downed and face camped? So what? Just die then.
-
To put it simply, though sad; pallet looping is the most viable thing currently.
It’s like camping during exit gates. (What else is there to do?) against any killer with half their wits, you will NEVER lose them.
As someone who reaches rank 1 killer often, Ill tell you; killers DONT HAVE ENOUGH CHASE POWER...but have TOO MUCH ANTI-STEALTH ABILITIES.
They should be switched, easy to catch looping, but easy for the survivor to break line of sight and completely end the chase.

Everyone knows, that SWF is not fair. Thanks to their coordination and voice chats, they gain the benefits of several aura reading perks, they can coordinate which perks they bring, they can set their roles (gen-rusher, looper), etc.Dear devs, you know, and I know it. But what can you do? Deleting it would irritate survivors, which would end up in the drop of the playerbase and your earnings, which are important. Without them you cannot develop this game.
So, deleting it would irritate them, nerfing it probably too. So what now? This is my idea:
Split the game into two gamemodes.
1) 1 versus 4, 5 generators - The same as it is now, BUT without SWF. What does it mean? It means that ONLY solo survivors can join to the lobby of the killer. They cannot be in SWF
2) 2 versus 6, 9 generators - Yes, 2vs6. "Fight fire with fire", as they say. Let the killer play with his friend in KWF mode (Kill With Friend). In this mode, 2 killers join to the first lobby (the same lobby as SWF has), then they click "Ready" and create the proper lobby, where survivors can join. It would be the only lobby where survivors could play in SWF, and it would be OPTIONAL for solo survivors to join this lobby as well (just and option, in Settings, or in the main menu, which enables the solo survivor to play in 2vs6 lobby). Then, you could limit the teammates in SWF to 3, so there would be maximum of 2 teams of SWF in one lobby (but this is optional).
What are your thoughts?
Except one thing people always forget in the 2v6 or 2v8 gamemode ideas, is the killers ability to snowball. Just like gens, survivors would have to be added, not just doubled for fairness. With 2 killers, someone could just be billy and patrol gens, while someone chases; and GG
Those SWF is overpowered, and as a solo survivor, and doc main, I can tell you something does need to be done, not big, but something.

When you see NOBODY with your BBQ & Chili after you hook one and so I sit invisible as the Wraith waiting for a new target then they cry in the post chat: CAAAAAAAMPPPPPPPPPPPERRRR, BBQ & Chili and camps!?
People forget the fact that the perk also gives you knowledge on the amount of people who are near the hook.Funny....killer mains always tell me it doesn’t ruin stealth, and that hiding behind a generator masks your aura....so who’s wrong here? You, are the literal thousands of killer mains denying any reasoning to buff stealth? Actually curious. I main doc, so I understand the whole “stealth is ruined”.

All in all, don’t let it get to you. It’s you who have the choice to give those actions meaning.
-
Well they do it because of posts like these, they like to know you are hurt, unsure, or possibly salty yourself. Sometimes they themselves Feign salt to get a reaction. It is you after all who gave the t-bagging meaning, as well as feeling provoked to make this thread from the chat. Simply ignore it, after all, you don’t know why they t-bagged, they could want your mom to die of cancer; or simply a plaful tease.

The old engine had good animations for the male characters. It allowed nearly every character to hide, due to having a tight, closed in crouch, and actually going low to the ground for male characters. They should just bring Rhodes animations back.

The main thing about decisive strike that people forget, the perk itself is strong, but NOT that strong in concept, what’s too strong is pallet looping, and DS enables that. DS does need a nerf, definitely, but pallet looping is the main culprit to blame regarding that perk.Jack11803 said:
Well, I still believe my idea has merit. It would make decisive strike almost never used (due to risk of having a perk that does NOTHING if you’re not obsession) and would keep the core idea, while not being OP whatsoever. What would be better than only taking one DS a game, while having the survivors waste perk slots? That’s really beneficial to killers. Changing it completely seems a little too much.SaltyKiller said:@Jack11803 said:
I believe the best course of action, would be to have only the obsession ha e the capability to use it, but with it being one person, have it a little stronger; say 5 second stun or so, with no drawback. This would keep the perk in its roots, while greatly reducing the pressure and damage of having four Desicive Strikes.
No. Change it completely. Have DS do something else.

Not saying it’s a bad thing, but Auto Haven Wreckers would basically phase out of existence if this came to fruition.
