ffs everyone complains about everything and is exhausting.Remove all perks to solve everything already
-
Firstly I think is fun when you rely on your teammates.Dbd survivors shouldnt be competitive, you need to co-op to have a good time and a chance to win.By win I dont mean to just hide,do the gen,and escape.
Secondly by ''matchmaking'' is better now ,you mean that is okay that people with 10k hours get matched with people who have 8hrs?
Or that a bush claudette escaping through hatch counts as a win and if you loop the killer for long time but you die,you are consindered less skilled ?
Is it a fair game for a 8hr player to go against a 5k hours killer?
And with matchmaking being so awesome is fine to have 9 bad games and 1 were u actually felt like it was a good game.
I think it can and must be improved.
Also I'm a teamplayer and since everyone else wants to play in an non altruistic way, like i said im done.
And if ''its always gonna be there'' I think many other people will leave too.
I never asked for dbd to be perfect. But I want to be able to play 10 games before going to work and feel chilled and good about it.
If not 10 good games at least 4 where I matched with genuine people who want to play.
Also if you think that there's not much requirment to be a team player,I think we are talking about a different game.
There is game requirment. That's why survivors are given 2 health states and 2 hooks.
Anyhow,I'm out.Well see how it goes on upcoming patch i guess.Gl on ur next games if u playin :)

Like I said, I certainly agree that solo queue has its frustrations, but what exactly are BHVR supposed to do about bad teammates? The changes that need to be made to solo queue have nothing to do with the quality of your random teammates, they're just the risk you agree to take when you queue up on your own.
I also don't fully agree that they've buffed camping, btw. Against Leatherface yes, but against most other killers they've made rescuing against a camper more effective, so it mostly breaks out even.
If they had buffed solo queue in this patch, which would look like the status icons on the portrait and other things like showing your teammate's perks in the match details, would that have changed any of your examples?
Fix matchmaking. After 6 years behaviour needs to fix matchmaking :) There you go.

...Genuine question, what does any of that have to do with this patch? Nothing in those games you outlined is being affected by this upcoming patch, except for that Dead Man's Switch can't be paired with Pain Res anymore so you'll probably see it less, which is an improvement.
I certainly agree solo queue has its unique frustrations, but those frustrations just aren't affected by this upcoming patch either way, with one exception - you are getting the improvements of not needing to rely on teammates for safe unhooks and a few nice perk buffs to play around with. So, the downsides are largely unaffected, and you are getting some improvements in other areas... that sounds like a good thing to me.
Sure, Thana Legion/Plague is gonna be annoying, but... it's only 2% and Thana Legion/Plague is already annoying, I don't really think that's the biggest deal- the patch is still overall very good for both sides.
Buffing killers without buffing soloq will be even more painfull.
When ur solo team is healing a lot against legion ,if u add thana it will be unplayable.
I am happy with the killer buffs and nerfs on perks.
But simply as that, giving more power to a camper,or adding power to a good killer to go against soloq survivors is gonna be dead game from the first 5 minutes.
There are games where I get a good team in soloq but it 1 out of 10.
So 9 games soloq survivors who dont get a good team will have to sweat to either get hatch or escape or even do a couple of gens.
(also lemme point out that i played on ptb against a good legion with buffed thana. And I tried thana legion myself without any other slow down perk. They did one gen and they starting dc and dying,SO it is not about being annoying.Against a good swf is playable, against soloq with a good killer ,is not)
-
I WOULD COME BACK TO DBD AND FORGET ALL THE MMR PROBLEMS IF THIS KILLER CAME
-
Again this wont happen if soloq stays that way.Cause last 5 months I regret every game I removed my meta build on soloq.
Either cause I didnt have DH and noone took a hit for me at the exit gate.
Or because camping and tunneling.
-
I mean I play both sides. So I understand the pressure of playing killer too.
For me camping and tunneling is actually lame when it happens at the start of the game.
I do not excuse camping on 5 gens.

I'm still surprised more than one or two people think this patch is going to make survivor unplayable. While reading all of it the only thought I had about survivor was "damn i'm gonna play some more after this patch hits", since I won't have to rely on teammates as much for a few key things and the perk buffs (mostly) look quite nice.
I've yet to hear a compelling argument as to why survivor players, especially solo queue players, should even be unhappy about this patch at all, let alone this mad.
Soloq is already unplayable.
Game 1. You die first hook
Game 2. No one is doing gens
Game 3 . They t-bag you and refuse to unhook.
Game 4 . No one is taking a hit or hook when needed
Game 5 . You get camped .You match with players who do not know how to counter an m1 camper.
Game 6 . You trade,so your team can reset. They doing noed but they are just t-bagging at the door.So noones saving.
Game 7 .Your teammate clearly avoids to take the BT hit.
Game 8 . Your teammate is always aroudn for a flashlight save that doesn't know how to pull and ends up body blocking while looping.
Game 9 . You teammate leaves 3 people to die while he has time to pick someone up but he chooses not to.
Game 10 . The meg refuses to heal you. Ofc you won't find Claudette cause she is somewhere in the corner of the map.
Game 11 . You have a decent game where everyone's trying.
Game 12. You get tunneled and Bill doesn't 99 the door,so your team doesn't have enough time. Then he says in chat that his gameplay was more skilled than the 5 gen chase, because he escaped.
Game 13 .You gen is 99 But ofc your teammate will activate Dead Man's.
Game 14 . You mate did an 1 gen chase but now half of the map is a huge ass dead zone.
and I can just keep going with my latest games. And usually all of these happen together in one match at times.
So yep.
Soloq is unplayable for me,because matchmaking is really bad.
But obviously behavior thinks that a 100hrs gamer has same knowledge as a 5k hours gamer.
We all make mistakes but in a 3 hours gamplay to have just maximum 5 good games,is mentally exhausting.
Also dont get me started with the rage quitts and suicides on first hook.
I dont care if they can loop or not but at least do not keep hooks and health states for next game ffs.
But oh well,
Escaping by being in the corner of the map whole game is a skilled play.
And yes soloq will be even more unbplayable with next patch.Because on top of this we will face a good thana legion or a plague.
And more face campers.
I never cared about camping,i just moved to the next game but camping ON TOP OF ALL OF THIS,is not something I am gonna keep putting myself into.
There are streamesr with 10k hrs who can still somehow mentally handle all this, prolly cause is their job.
But I'm out.
Also I think everyone needs to stop taking a side ,cause playing killer is as stressfull, and i genuinly think that even behind a face camper can be the most wholesome person ull meet.
But when it comes to gameplay and dbd itself,I'm out.
Because I can never play both sides and have a good time.
Upcoming patch is great. They listened and Is much appriciated. But fixing one side and ignoring the basic ,routed problems within the game (which have nothing to do with perks),creates bad experiences anyways.
I personally feel sad, cause it is my favorite game. But it has becoem really toxic. And time I spent playing dbd ,it should be time where I am having fun.And I am not.
-
I'm leaving now.Not because of the nerfs and buffs. But because of the matchmaking beign unbearable.
I can no longer stand soloq. And now that camping is buffed. I wont be able to stand soloq AND campers every 2 games.
Last 4 weeks I've had trollers, people who are just too scared to do anything honestly.
And I don't blame them.Matchmaking is matchmaking.
I think 3 years playing DBD and solo survivor were enough for me.I might come back when they fix soloq and matchmaking.
-
I dont care I have to deal with tunnelers and campers.I care that i have to deal with tunnelers and camper PLUS the awful matchmaking, solo q,rubberbanding and bad desgined maps. But mostly soloqa and matchmaking. Is already unbearable.Ill just watch the streamers i like while i will just uninstall and come back when all of this is solved.
-
either they are toxic and do not understand the game
or they hate their selves for playing this game for long time.
Either way be kind.Just rage quitte and uninstall if you want to be mean.
At least when I reached my tilt point that what I did.
Dbd has routed problems and they wont get solved by blaming other players.
If you think you've had of the game, dont play, for your own better mentality.
-
Okay call me stupid but last one month I've been getting teammates that do not know how to play the game.I have 5k hours in game, therefore I might not be the best but I have basic knowledge.
Every 9 to 10 games I get teammates that are too scared to look for noed, too scared to do gens, too scared to save.I even had a few trolls t-bagging me on hook while they didn't save.
Upon this, many campers + teammates that do not know how to counter an m1 camper.
They are scared to take a hook or a hit.
I dont blame them.Is mostly matchmaking being matchmaking. But today it became so mentally exhausting I actually cried from anger and uninstalled.
I'll be back when ill be able to have intresting and fun games on both sides. bye-bye

I had a game with a good blight just now. 2 of my teammates were babies. I managed to pick them up and got 2 escapes.
Before that I had 2 games where I also escaped. NOW...i got again 2 babies, only this time they werent doing gens or saving.Me and my friend spent 10 minutes loopin the killer and saving. We both suicided on hook. While spectate Feng left her mate to die over a gen.She gave her location and died after too.
Matchmaking is broken
-
If everything comes out the way they are,for sure,my soloq experience will be way worse than it is now
-
Well when I play solo survivor is already hard.
I guess I will never play survivor again if they do not do something.
I played on ptb and many games I was miserable as a survivor.
When I tried Thanatophobia Legion, team managed to do 1 gen after they started giving up.
What's the fun on this? I just wanna play,I dont want to be left on hook,or to have my team give up.
Same as a killer.I don't need 2 rage quit after 1 and a half gen are done.
Is truly sad.

I think I’m personally fine with how they nerfed Iron Will, even though I’m a Sprintburst gamer myself, but I hope they consider adding an option to mute the grunts of the surv you’re playing just for yourself. Iron Will is in my builds for ages and it always was mainly because I hate the sounds a lot of survs make when injured.
Obviously I still enjoyed all the benefits it gave besides that but I switched back to Adrenaline already and it’s such a fun perk to use with Soul Guard, which is my main crutch perk ever since it came out haha.
I think I still got it better then all those mediocre players that relied on DH to get decent chases. For them it will be tough after the Mid chapter
Alsooo The changes u mentioned are balanced for soloQ too and it makes me wanna play dbd. Upcoming changes as they are, make me so scared of touching soloq ever again

I honestly dont mind DH rework.
Mostly IW ,I will never play Jill,Leon,Haddie,Yui,and less feng.I hate their grants .Especially Jill's. 80% would be a good thing on both sides i believe.
-
And my game is ruined by my solo q teammates and bad mmr on both sides.I do not think SWF is the problem.Game itself has numerous problems that need to be fixed before we talk about SWFs
-Maps
-Matchmaking
-Perks
-
If you play against a SWF is gonna be hell.Against a SOLOQ nothing will change rl. Is just 1 hit more and noone will take hit :)
-
-
I 10000000% agree! I think IW should be 80-85% and not have the exhaustion part.
Behavior here some ideas to avoid frustration between players :))))

As a spirit enjoyer,I feel completely and utterly left out.

Iron Will definitely needed a change but I'm not sure if how they did it is the best. 75% still isn't bad but for a perk it isn't great. Maybe they can increase it to 85%?

Dude all maps have the most useless things in them that you get stuck on.
I get stuck in invisible things which apparently have a hitbox.
New map has many of those.
Playing both killer or survivor is honestly sad on the new map.
Shack is surrounded by ######### and In one loop near the main there's a minature dog house that you would never see it if you didnt look down.
On Autoheaven I lost a kill with huntress because apparently the hitbox of a tiny hand hanging from the wall is big enough to protect the survivor.
As survivor I had to DH or just die from that thing.
Is getting ridiculous on how many times you will get stuck on random things.
I mean you learn the loops with time, but is annoying to have to move a bit everytime there's a chair or a barel or an invisible minecraft wall,so you wont get stuck.
New map, I am scared to take loops tight.
######### dog house and a totem in the most stupid place, rocks, chairs, trees.
It's honestly funny at this point even talking about it..

While you in animation from new DH, you obviously can't use windows or pallers, with that being said... You're probably go down, coz there is no "DH for distance". It's a HUGE nerf. As others said, probably is a "bin" situation. xD
It's good tho, now survivors will have at least some variations with 1 slot of other perks to use. -_-
I do think that people will still use it. Killer knows you can't reach that window,if you succesfully DH you get a speed boost which will safely move you on another, safer, loop.

You're assuming everyone has a god tier react time to killer swings ? with all the latency inconveniences most survivors will miss it and get hit instead. What made distance dead hard more popular is that you can use it to reach safety rather than to predict hits which is way harder.
Well yes it takes time and practice to get good in any game.On DBD it's the same,it takes time to become a good huntress and it take time to become better at looping or using any kind of perk at it's best potential. Is not about god tier.Is about learning the game the way you want to play it.If dead hard doesn't fit you, you can try perfecting sprint burst or any exhaustion perk.
-
Dudes what are you talking about ? New Dead Hard is broken. I can already think of the standoffs you can do just standing on a window.
Faking a window or a pallet will give you a bigger speed if used properly.Survivors can body block killers on door and take a hit.
Pretend to get stuck. Like so many mindgames you can do with that and get a longer distance afterwards.
I honestly like it.
-
DUDES new dead hard is cool af. You can not vault a window but you can fake going for a window when you don't have enough distance, same goes on palleted or pretend to get stuck .Honestly you can block the window and wait, literally stand off to wait dead hard and then you run away with the zoomies. It can be usefull honestly.

I've never used or cared for IW so comment on that.
Spine chill keeps getting changed around so no comment yet on that.
Self Care though imo was nerf a bit to much. Leave the healing speed at 50% instead of 35% and just remove the bonus charges when using a med kit on yourself since that was most busted.
I think boon should get nerfed and botany stay as it is . With botany and a good medkit ,inside a boon it will be old boon speed which is ridiculous.

If you honestly believe those perks are just as good as the current iron will, then use those other perks and be happy that you have a “just as good” solution.
I am saying is a down side for when I play killer. I will look for a survivor and he will be healed in two seconds.Especially on spirit BTB will be op.
I never had an issues with IW. There would be multiple times were the fact that a survivor is injured with IW,would give me the boost I would need to win the game.
-
@dugman said:
Iron Will at 100% was too strong, it needed a nerf. 75% reduction is probably still ok, I’m pretty sure as a killer I’ll have trouble hearing them at that volume. The bigger nerf I think is that it will turn off if the survivor is Exhausted, that’s really going to hurt survivors who run this in combination with an Exhaustion perk or who run it against a killer that inflicts Exhaustion somehow.
I also think Spine Chill needed a nerf, it was a bit too good giving both a really useful tracking alert plus vault speed and action boosts. They may have overnerfed it, though, having it require line of sight sounds like it’s making that tracking MUCH less useful since, after all, if they have line of sight you can see them without the perk anyway (barring maybe Sadako’s invisibility). I won’t be surprised if a lot of current Spine Chill users stop using it altogether.
I have tried IW at 75%.And you dont get value. Except if you are doing a locker build.
If IW couldn't be used at exhaustion and was 100% maybe people would still use it.
Now that is both 75% and useless when exhausted,I think people will use more powerfull perk combinations.
For me a survivor with 75% IW ,sound like a survivor with no IW and I play spirit.
As for spinechill I do agree with you.

Hey guys, killer main here. I think Iron Will is a fun and fair perk that brings a lot of excitement to the game and chase dynamic potential. I never have a problem with it, I just use my eyes! They shouldn't have nerfed it like this, now it's going to be too easy for me to get wins on Spirit. I never had a problem with Dead Hard either, the complaints about it are overblown it's so easy to counter, you just bait it out!
Aye I play mostly spirit and huntress.I honestly feel the same way about DH and Iron Will. I think DS got a good nerf (the park on the endgame).I never had a problem with DH or IW honestly. But mostly new players,I understand they might have a hard time facing those perks.
On killer side I like most of the changes.
Is not the end of DBD because they nerfed DH or IW.I am saying that IW is life saving on soloQ without having to waste time self caring in the corner.
About DH or spine chill I do not care as much? Just Iron WIll saved me from headaches since I always have max my headphones.

Move on, both killers and survivors got buffs and nerfs and it focused perks that were mostly meta. I don't think you should rely on not being heard to win chases or the game period. I think they need to add more volume settings so I can lower killer sounds making survivor sounds easier to hear, if that was in the game I think IW might be more accepted.
No one complained and no one said you should rely on your perks.I just stated my own concerns plus I just liked this perk a lot cause I didn't have to listen to Jill crying whole game.
No need to be aggresive

Right I started using PG and that has saved many teammates from the Killer.... But with those perks you have to be doing a action or have someone do it to you to receive it so that's fine in my book it's the constantly on IW is the issue.
Still like I said bite the bullet with self care will be a problem at some point for some people.
It is unlimited unless you have nurse's.
Plus with the Lucky Break buff,it can be even more powerful.
Honestly,If there's a killer I love to play the most,is Spirit.
I would rather have an injured survivor than a Survivor who has the ultimate healing build and 20 seconds of BT.
But that's my prespective.

0.5sec is long and short at the same time, I won't say it's too bad.
Well still most survivors will use something else instead of the no value spine chill. I can name 20 perks better than nerfed spine chill including Object,Alert ... (any information perk),even premonition
-
@VikingDragonXii said:
Here's the thing the breathing of survivors was never always going on, I didn't even knew they made breathing sounds until I read it here because most of the time the sound dosnt okay or is drowned out by the chase music or the Killers own idle sounds.
IW also negated a entire way for a killer to track survivors. Scratch marks could easily be messed with by another survivor so you can't tell where they went and Blood can vanish in tall grass or clip through the floor in some areas. Not to mention it totally neutralizes Stridor and no perk should be a 100% counter of another perk Survivor or Killer alike.
That being said, I do think they over nerfed it. The most they should of lowered it was to 85-90% and never had the exhaustion part of it.
Well like I mentioned,if you dont use nurse's calling, survivor will lose visual with -lithe- and heal with a ranger medkit with bite the bullet which allows you to make zero sounds.
Plus personally every time I use Parental Guidance is ridiculou how easy the killer can completely lose you and drop chase.
I still agree with you about 80-90% and the exhaustion. That would be a nice nerf for both sides.

Both of those are much better than permanent ultra stealth mode tbh, sound is THAT important in this game.
Well you will have no sound with both.I can literally heal with bite the bullet and have a spirit phase next to me.
Not only you have no sound but as survivor you heal and then have more time to do gen.
But as you wish.

@Murgleïs said:
You guys keep focusing on the nerfs and not the buffs. I play mostly in soloQ (or duo), and imho survivor is going to be stronger now than before. In fact, I would not be surprised if killrates drop.
Before you needed selfcare to heal yourself after being hooked. Now you have 80s of endurance with OTR to find someone or boon a totem.
Or just use a medkit you know ? It’s a free heal without using any perk.
Spinechill was a hard counter to stealth killers. It has to go, so they can finally play how they are suppose to and surprise survivors. You will still be able to hear them coming by focusing on their breathing sound (it’s quite loud).
Well first of all we do not know yet how off the record will actually work,or dead hard.
Also this post is mostly for these nerfed perks and my own opinion.
I mentioned a buffed perk (botany knowledge)
and I openly wrote my own concers,so i do see many other upcoming problems on both sides.
This post is just me openly discussing my opinion, that iron will should not be changed or at least not as much.
The upcoming update changes both sides A LOT. And I am not unhappy with many changes but I do believe both rates will drop if it doesn't work out.
I play both sides, and I know the pain of being in solo Q, also I do know how awful it is when u have a swf abusing a specific build or perk.
Also before calling survivor stronger think about all the killer changes they did.
It would be nice if you spent a few days on soloQ withotu getting upset.
Both sides has their ups and downs. It would be nice if we didn't look at Dead By Daylight as two games. Is one game, with two sides and killers cant play without survivors joining the lobby, and a survivors cant play without a killer.
We better look what's best for the whole community.
And we should take into consideration many aspects. Not us.Mostly behaviour.
-
@Souplet said:
Short answer : yes
Longer answer : when a survivor is healthy, you can hear them breathe. When they are injured they do ABSOLUTELY NO SOUND whatsoever. Its a busted perk for hiding AND hiding mid chase
It counters killers like ph, nurse, spirit with no effort at all
There is absolutely no downside using this perk and it nullifies a whole mechanic of the game
So you would rather get stunned with parental guidance (leaves no scratch marks, blood and you have zero garnts of pain),then survivor has -any exhaustion perk- and heals with bite the bullet (zero sounds when healing) and a ranger medkit.
Cause for all the iron will mains that's what you will face.
Like I said the only way it counters those killers you mentioned, is because it reduces breathing sounds.
Also you can not use it when exhausted. So no one will use it anymore. But if they use it against the nurse, during a chase a good survivor will try to lose visual.During that time he can crouch to reduce grants of pain even more.
Iron will as killer was the least of my problems.
-
@fulltonon said:

Also spine chill could somewhat help chasing as you can now use it to tell if killer is ACTUALLY looking at you or not.
well with the spine chill nerf it will not trigger like it used to. It will trigger and stay for a few seconds. So during a chase it might be misleading
-
I agree.I think maps are the most problematic thing in the game.
Garden of pain is both a pain for survivors and killers.
I feel sad to say this, but behavior after all these map reworks and all the complains about old haddonfield, they should know what the community asks.
But i guess we love an infite window surrounded by two god pallets and a dead zone.
Coldwind shack has by far the most annoying items in it.
And In all maps I get stuck on invisible spots or a piece of small wood in the wall.
Some loops has those hands insidethe walls (i think autoheaven) ,I remember as huntress I missed a shot cause of the hand that was hanging through the wall. Obviously i threw a hatchet and I couldnt even see the hand at that time
Also as Bubba and Legion I got stuck on that ######### and as survivor I remember I noticed, and i had to turn right and then use my dead hard.
Many many maps have random items that you always get stuck on.
-
Let's be honest Iron Will and spinechill will be completely useless.
Mostly I am sad over Iron Will and the fact that Now everyone will run botany, boon, and a good medkit.
I personally find grants of pain extremely annoying. On soloQ is hard to find my teammates at times ,so I am running injured.
Guess I will run the 35% self care when solo.
Honestly the least thing I cared about was dead hard being nerfed or ds.I think they are healthy changes.
But there are so many things that coming that concern me with the update on both sides.
But Iron Will was by far my favorite perk as survivor.
They should just remove the breathing part from it and not other changes. Is useless atm.
p.s. we will see how Bite the Bullet and a strong medkit works now.
-
I have recieved awful comments during my time on DBD ,on both sides...
In fact I had this person message me,to killmyself because I escaped against his huntress.I only wanted to say gg and nice hatchets and he started trashtalking.
Later on things got a bit worse,so I kindly told him, that he should be careful who he says these things. Many people might take it seriously.
Personally I suffer from a serious mental health disease, during time I have learn to control some things that might trigger me but I can not imagine ,someone else in my shoes.
People just go to play their favorite game ,and out of nowhere they receive bad comments.
Even if you facecamp, noone should thinks that facecamp has the same value as killing yourself because they find your strategy boring.
DBD can be extremely stressing at time and to enjoy it,you really need not to look at the bad comments.
Even in your gameplay if everything goes wrong, jump to next game and try to see ur previous mistakes so you can get better in this match.
It is just a game.Sadly gaming communities has this type of toxicity.
Noone will do nothing about it.
Whenever I receive a bad comment now,I say gg wp and move on.
Do not allow toxic people further into your thoughts, enjoy the gameplay and think how you can improve on playing your favorite killer or how to be a better teammate :)
-
I agree,I miss gloomy coldwind.I think it fitted DBD better as a horror game and It would be a awesome to get a realm at least where it will be dark.

As a killer sometimes a play against these ULTRA experienced SWFs and then I will receive 4 players who just have maximum 100 hours.
As a survivor when I play in SOLOq I will get maximum people with 1k hours.
1k hours if I am lucky, usually it goes like a ... person will have 400 hours and the rest from 12 to 60 hours.
The killers I play against most of the time are experienced, but I do not have a team to support that.(i die on hook, not doing gens etc.)
Or the killer will be new,and it feels extremely wrong.
I have 5k hours. There are days where matchmaking goes completely bad tbh.I roughly have 1 intresting match.
It feels unfair and sad on both sides. And as a new killer/survivor ,you will never get better at the game if you face players with so much experience while you just learning how to press the skillchecks or how to hit your hatchets.
As an old DBD player,it becomes quite unfun .
(p.s. I do not think that all people with not many hours are bad,I know people with 300 hrs who play almost like pros. The players mentioned above are inexperienced, causing the result of the match to be obvious and expected, unfun for both sides)
