Nah, a killer that refuses to give up during a SWF match can overcome them. Flashlights have batteries and other equipment limits too. The real problem with SWF is the fact it's hidden and that allows them to run the best add-ons and equipment while a killer is left in the dark as not being able to afford to run the best add-ons every match just in case.
Bloodhound and Sloppy Butcher are great perks against them because if they play altruistic even if they delay your hooks with endless saves and sabo's the targets will not escape you long enough to make it stick, assuming you aren't oblivious.
I have a lot of time in DbD and am a skilled enough killer to compete with these groups and have no problem doing so. I would just like the ability to know I'm going into that level of match.
New killers without that experience or knowledge being ambushed by these teams are detrimental to the health of the game.
Let the killers know about SWF and let the new players dodge them. There are plenty of veterans who want nothing more than a fair match to hand them their rear ends.
The queues aren't going to be any worse than they are when more and more new killers are driven away from playing after being ambushed by these teams multiple times per day with zero warning.
Thats ok too. But i bet swf squads will get brutal long queues and thats why they cry always when it comes to this discussion. Spoiled brats ...

I play Killer, Solo and Swf actually.
But me and 6-7 of my friends specifically bought this game to play together, because it was advertised you could play with friends;cross platform. The game is marketed for teamplay . Marketed for playing with friends. SWFs have become an integral part of this game BECAUSE of BHVRs marketing. It's up to the devs to find a fair way to bridge the gap between SWFs and soloq, and fix balance issues for killers.
But they are not going to turn off swf lobbies. And the aren't going to punish or attack people who play with friends, who bought the game after watching a commercial that said they could play with friends.
Ok i heard your anecdotes about all swf squads that will leave dbd immediately if killers can choose to play against them or not or that you play killer and solo too. The problem that there is an enormous lack fo killers at evening and night time has to do with it. More and more killers dont want unfair matches against swf squads. Idc if you can accept it but its a fact!
Afaik in the absolute beginning there was no swf for a month or so and if you think about the idea of the game a voice ch(e)at is the last thing that would fit into it.
And calm down. No one wants to punish swf squads. Except you think its a kind of punishment if killers can see if the group in the lobby is swf or not. But thats your own problem. Then you can still play with friends. But no one can be forced to play killer for you. Maybe you will then really fill the gap and play killer against swf squads. I am fine with it and surely all killer whon dont want to play with swf are fine too. Then bhvr just has to blance solo surv and killers that they can have some fun too. After 7 years its overdue cause they are customers too. Not only you and your friends. Got it?

People need to stop these ridiculous suggestions that SWF should have some sort of penalty.
Why? Cause its right that swf squads are prefered and op since release? Did the truth hurt that much?

Your sure as hell do make a lot of assumptions about people.
No not about people but about game and balance. If you think dbd is a family and swf, solo survs and killer are the children swf for sure is the spoiled brat. Thats why they dont want any changes esp. these one that could break their privileges. The claim its just the fun aspect 4 friends playin together but that is only 50% of truth. Dbd is competetive no question and as swf squad you got most advantages.

So, in short, you want to fix a problem by proposing another problem.
Yeah I think I'm done with this discussion. Have a good day.
And you want to prevent swf squads from losing their illegitimate privileges. I just want to balance the game which is awaiting a solution for nearly 7 years.

Buffing solos, then buffing killers more.
LOL You did not understand. Solo Survs are mostly disadvantaged. Killers are in the middle and swf squads are the favs of the devs until today. So if there should be no separation solo survs need buffs (like BT and Kindred as Base Set), Killers can be as they are and swf squads should be limited to a maximum of 3 survs so that swf squads always play 3 vs. 1 killer.

This is even worse.
1) Killers would most likely dodge repeatedly, to the point where no one would find matches. And then it would just turn back to playing against swf.
2) No one would play these unless they were given a reward.
And again, why not do it slowly but make sure it works? Why does the answer have to be now.
But it already happened if killer sus lobby to be a swf squad e.g. some private profiles etc.
And if killer knows for sure its no swf then there is no more reason for dodging. Only swf squads will loose. But they can also play as killer against swf squads to compensate the loss of killers for swf squads and they can experience how unfun it is as killer against swf squad. I would say in the end win-win-win.
And his to be now since swf squads are preferred right from the start until today which is many, many years. When if not now?

How is my suggestion not better? If solo survivors could match swf survivors in power level, that means killers can be more powerful to deal with both.
Your suggestion while easier wouldn't really fix long term issues. Solo survivor would still suck. Weak killers couldnt really be stronger because of solo survivor. So the only diffrence it would make is - bully squads wouldn't bully as effieciently......... Unless they try queing at the same time.
So there are only 2 options left.
1.) Show SWF clearly so killers and solo survs can decide if they wanna play with them. Or ..
2.) Separate these fractions to a dedicated server for each.

I actually play both sides equally, I've hit irid one on both teams. You judge awfully fast, the world isn't black and white m'dude. This post is about punishing SWFs for existing, I'm not gonna put an essay on how I think every killer should be strengthened here, my statement is valid without homework. I've gone indepth on those topics on other posts.
The devs should have realized people would do voice chat externally with no built in option.
That's why things like discord exist.
You could claim online build guides are unfair too, they aren't a built in part of the game and help people do better in matches. You want to punish anyone who read they should run a DH DS build on Eurogamer?
You can't punish something like that, not from a business standpoint (because SWFs are a huge chunk of the player base) nor a technical one (no way to prove it, and would be reported everytime a killer lost)
LOL Discord did not only exist for gaming. And if BHVR just disable SWF option Discord is useless in that aspect. The problem with SWF is not only voice ch(e)at which is a big advantage himself alone but also bein trained with a fix group and fix roles and last but not least coordinating perks in massively effective way ... = SWF is completely op and unfair. I understand you love SWF but that dont gives you the right to get so many advantages.
Remember without killers and sometimes sorrowfully disadvataged solo survs you definetely cant play dbd. You need them. But they both dont need SWF and more and more are coming to realize it. And you see it from a "business standpoint" why do you need to force killers to play with SWF although they dont want? Imagine more and more killers dodging every sus lobby. Will a queue of 20, 30 or minutes be fun for you in the future or even good for "business"?

If camping and tunneling weren't issues, then killers wouldn't oppose a rating system for people to dodge them either, just saying that.
It goes both ways. Both are legitimate, if not sometimes frustrating aspects of the game.
It's a shame it would be used toxically by both sides, cuz it would be neat to be able to have like a 'guild' name or something for SWF teams 🤷 to show up under their username.
Camping and tunneling and playin leatherface more often is a reaction to op swf squads. Unfortunately the most weak solo survs suffer even more from it. Separate these groups will improve gaming experience for all in the end. For swf it shouldnt be satisfyin to stomp a weak killer cause system dont want to make them wait for proper killer.
And if killers and solo survs will find a way to play together toxic bheaviour will reduce too imho

No they won't, at least not any more than those who believe they are facing SWF already are. What they will do however is use their best add-ons relative to the challenge they believe they face.
This is fair considering they are presently being ambushed. Offering a BP bonus would be nice too.
No they do and esp. in evening hours many survs experience this. With more killers avoiding swf more matches will be unfair since they cause a gap and many too strong swf will find even weaker vict... ehm killers who will get more and mor frustrated too. I would call it a vicious circle ..

I think you're misunderstanding.
I was using a number as an example of a proposed change. Not as how it does work, or as a literal example of how it may work.
Sorry for the confusion.
I'm not expecting a lot of survivors to have 100 or 200 MR - nor am i expecting results that I was putting forward unless major changes were implemented from behavior.
~
Killers will return to the game when it gets fun again. The killer drought is a major problem - but it will quickly evaporate once Boon totems are fixed, perks are reworked, and the MMR system sees many QOL improvements. Attracting killers is besides the point anyhow.
~
The problem itself is not all about nerfing crossplay, but about placing SWF groups at the top of the food chain instead of averaging their scores out to find a killer.
As it stands, the MMR system finds 'fair' killer matchups based on the survivor team's cumulative MMR scores.
While not a massive long terms solution - having SWF teams bumped into ques much more challenging than before, it will cause SWF games to be much more difficult for survivors - who were previously just breezing through them - and would also mean that killers that saw SWF teams would be given survivors that, individually, are far less skilled than non-SWF survivors.
True, once you get to the top, things get a bit redundant.
Adding 75% MMR to a team of 9999 MR survivors isn't going to magically summon a 17,500 MR rank into existence. But for the low end killers, the average killers, and even many of the higher end killers - this kind of change would make SWF lobbies a lot more manageable passively by ensuring that the benefits begotten by comms are spread across vastly inferior players.
~
To put a more concise mental image on it. Using a very basic and non-literal hyperbole from the old ranking system:
SWF in brown tier will always get you a Green killer.
Green tier SWF group will always get a purple killer.
Purple SWF groups will always get Red rank killers.
Red rank SWF will always get the best killers currently playing the game.
It doesn't nerf SWF or make killers dodge ques. It just makes SWF lobbies wait longer for harder killers. And killers get to face overall less challenging survivors that are playing with an advantage.
This isn't PERFECT at all or anything. It's more than fine to disagree.
I just have the feeling that you're misunderstanding my original statement, because it sounds like you're challenging my approach based of the MMR numbers i put in there - taking them a bit literally.
But if the matches were fair why is it so hard finding a killer and why so many killers dont want to play with swf squads? But for this problem with not enough killers many killers will match up with too strong swf squads thats why i think an information will help. Maybe there will be a few killers who will accept swf or even like the challenge. But most will avoid it.
And we still forgot solo survs esp. if boon totems and so on will be nerfed. A swf squad can compensate it. For solo survs its getting worse. And bhvr basically did nothing to protect solo survs from this. Thats why i think mixing up all three groups is a fundamental mistake. They should separate them and all players have a chance to decide on them on which mode they wanna play. SWF is still possible but no killer will be forced into it like now.
Are you english by mothertongue? I am not so this might cause some misunderstanding. If so i am sorry for it. Lets make all points clear. THX!

The numbers were illustrative in nature, not exemplary.
You may complain about disparity in desired killers and ACTUAL killer availability. But this is already a problem with the current system anyhow.
That's like not asking for what you want because you're afraid of not getting what you want.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2894726#Comment_2894726
The point is - killers should not be warned with a giant neon sign that says 'DODGE IF YOU DONT WANT SWF' but rather, the numeric behind the scenes should work overtime to try and find more even matchups.
Instead of rewarding killers that dodge SWF lobbies, just make it so it's less of a deal in the first place by adding a longer que and a more difficult matchup for survivors that tip the game to their favor in this way.
No i just put some salt into the wound and its a big wound in deed. And the numbers are not illustrative but the sad truth. And on top your killers cant have a bigger difference than 200. So e.g. your best killer is at 1500 your worst cant get lower than 1300.
And when dreaming you forgot killers are rare my friend. At a east coast server they got a 1:50 ratio and its not getting better. On the contrary. And if a killer dont want to play SWF no one can force them or dont you think so? The problem is SWF and as long SWF exist the problems will exist.

@Sluzzy said:
The threads about killer being unfun and weak is getting old. Killers are not leaving either. Right now survivors are much faster to get in matches than killers during the peak of the day.
There has been 6 years of constant and unrelenting survivor nerfs to the extent that experienced killers practically never lose now because the game is so broken in favor of killer.
If you are not winning, all that can really be said is to git gud. Stop crying to BHVR to make the game easy for you. Survivors are practically spawning in the dying state as we speak.
And lastly, if you think killer is hard, please play solo matches. You will experience the hardest, most unfair, and most impossible thing in any video game. Survivors are extremely disadvantaged and this is why the game is losing its momentum. It is definitely not because "killers are weak".
The problem is cause you cant balance Solo Survs, Killers and SWF. SWF dominate all. Killers get some help to come near to SWF but that makes them op if they face Solo Survs. Solo Survs suffer most from frustration but directly followed by killers. SWF is the problem!
And look in the evening hours when most people player killer queue is about 30 seconds and less. As Surv i sometimes wait more than 10 minutes cause several killers dodged lobby since they sus its a SWF.
-
@Nathan13 said:
A lot of killers will dodge lobbies.
They already do an i did too when i still played killer. A private profile?! Oh they wanna hide its swf. Wait some time and then dodge. And you get mixed up with the same group very often. My personal record was 7 attempts to mix me with a probably swf squad. I refused and they waited round about 8 minutes just because of on killer.
As surv i sometimes have to wait up to 15 minutes until a killer will play with us. And frankly speaking i completely understand them. If there is a server just for all who dont need swf these swf squads have to play killer themself and then they will realize how unfun and unfair it is. Maybe then they will understand.

@Valik said:
It would become Dodge city.
Just give a compounding addition to total MMR value of a lobby based on the number cued together.
If you have 4 100 MR players, increase their overall MMR score by 75%. ( 400 | 700 MR killer )
By making it so that each SWF addition increases the group's calculated MMR by an additional 25% - divided over the lot.
(If you have a 200 MR person and a 800 MR person qued together, their overall score would be 1,750 - 875 each. The preferred killer would be around 875.)
The system, overall, should distribute the average of the lobby's MR and distribute it evenly to produce a killer value. But those that que together should create an MR value significantly higher than otherwise, regardless of discrepancies.
In a normal lobby, you can have a 1,000 MR, 1,000 MR, 1,000 MR, and a 200 MR survivor - and the average will be made to find a 800 MR killer.
With SWF, instead, this matchup would search for a 1,400 MR killer instead. Even though the 200MR survivor will struggle, the benefits of coordination through their teammates will make the match up far more amicable than before.
Honestly, though, things would be made a lot easier if the perk meta was a lot less unfair and uninteresting... and MR was determined by a flat variable that could be deduced while in a match.
You start at MMR 1200. So its not easy to go down for 200. And on the other hand esp. in the evening killers are rare. So can easily get mixed up with swf squad and experience unfair and unfun match. If there are 20 top swf squads but only 5 killers that can compete with them the other 15 swf squads will get a very weak killer. For this killer this is 100% bullshit!

This is way underselling how comms help out even bad survivors. Here are some examples that all tilt the match way against the killer:
Knowing the guy on hook has Deliverance so no one goes to rescue him and sticks on gens. Solo queue sometimes has multiple people go for the save
Knowing when all major pallets are down. Solo has to run WoO for that info
Knowing killer has Spirit Fury/Enduring as soon as it procs the first time then predropping everything in the future. Solos don't know unless they witness it
One guy knows where the hex is, everyone does
All splitting up on gens at all times. I see solo queue gamers hop on gens with 2 other people all the time
Guy gets chased off a gen in the corner that's 80% done and Ruin chews all the way through it in solo queue. In SWF, his buddy runs from across the map to get on it so it doesn't lose as much progress negating a huge killer gain
Coordinating perks so that one person is a dedicated CoH while solo queue can have multiple self cares taking away spots for multiple 2nd chance perks
Etc Etc Etc. This is just stuff that causes the killer hardships on the macro, not even the annoying BS that SWFs can organize against killers like multiple Head On stuns, Boil Over/Sabo/Eyrie RPD offering abuse etc.
Great enumeration and there are even more facts that make it clear that swf is just unfair to killer and solo survs.

@JaviiMii said:
Why are you trying to convince me that I wouldn't quit playing if it was solo-q exclusive?
And how do you get to "neglecting the killer" when I just said that there should be re-balancing? The issue is, as you pointed out yourself, you can't balance against two things at once that are on opposite sites of the same spectrum. You can either bring swf down to solo - or bring solo up to swf and then balance the killer against this new baseline, precisely so that killers don't get "neglected".
Let me ask you this way: How many people do you know who genuinely enjoy solo-q? I for one don't know anyone. Some put up with it "in the mean time" or use it for Rituals/Challenges or BP-farming - but they don't go "yay! Finally! SOLO-Q - lesss goooo"
That being said: I'm happy to agree to disagree. You believe default-solo-q would lead to a better game experience for everyone involved. I believe it would lead to a worse game experience for everyone involved. I'm perfectly fine leaving it at that.
No i am not tryin to convince you i just doubt most swf survs will leave if swf wont be an option since the game is not only swf.
And ask all Killers that stopped playin killer or these who dodge lobbys if they sus its a swf. These Killers feel neglected. And the point - and that is what you avoid - is that if you offer a server without swf you will see which concept will work better. How will you play with your friends as swf if there is no killer when they play with random solo survs? Just explain it me.
-
Sure some randoms are nice and i even find friends there. But i still think its more easy to seprate Solo and SWF. And 2 SWF each 2 players are a swf.

Well SWF wouldn't get many games most probably. I don't mind some SWF games but sometimes it's just too highly stacked.
They come in with a plan with perks to match the roles they take on. At least with one less perk each they would be more limited.
TBH i liked SWF for the team factor. But i realized how unfair it is against solo survs and esp. against killers. I doubt if one less perk would be enought. At the same time you should buff solo survs with BT and Kindred as base kit for example.
On the other hand when do we have a swf? Only when they are 4 mates? 3 Mates? Or even 2 groups with 2 mates? Maybe one perk less for everyone who is in a swf.

I know it's highly annoying. This wouldn't be a full solution but I think BHVR should try it at least.
The problem is to balance SWF, Solo AND Killer. I came to conclusion its better separate Solo and SWF. And then we see which one will be more successful. I am pretty sure most killers will prefer to play with solo random slightly buffed survs. And some SWF have to play killer against SWF. Taking their own medicine will probably enlighten them ;)

I played swf too ut stopped a long time ago since i dont wanna be a hypocrite. If queue gets endless then swf should think about it. There is no right to play swf or to get unfair advantages. And if you play killer vs solo random or fix swf there is a big difference.

Swf adds an advantage on survivors, no doubt on that. However, disabling swf would just mean a lot of the player base will quit dbd, because they will look for another game to play with their friends, and it's always more fun to play with friends! This is why I think the game should balance the game considering survivor can communicate, and also add communications between soloq like they proposed in their last survey. Also I agree that many killers would dodge swf lobbys more frequently if its clearly showed to them at the current state of the game.
"An" advantage?!? LOL Exactly my sense of humor :)))
- A fix group that train themself over a period of time.
- Voice Chat which is practically cheating when you know all maps and swf do know them.
- You can coordinate perks and roles.
And its not about disabling. Killers just wanna know if they face a swf in lobby. If SWF is so great and so important for dbd why do they have to hide it?
-

Yep, it is a skill issue on the Killers part. Killer players just cannot accept that they are not as good as they think they are.
If someone wants to remove SWF (as an example), this shows that they are a bad player. Giving penalties to SWFs as well.
But I cannot really blame them, giving the fact that some of the biggest and vocal Content Creators are the same and basically role models when it comes to complaining.
If you are such a good surv why do you need SWF? Why do you need voice chat, a trained fix group and coordinate perks? Then play solo.

No as Ziggy Marley said i swear it was a self defense. No tbh i dont want unfair gaming experience. I appreciate myself that much that i do all to avoid. And since SWF Fans absolutely dont care for others - i have been reguarly "sacrified" or betrayed by 3SWF - now i dont care for SWF anymore.
The problem is that even if you buff solo survs killers still dont want unfair matches against swf. But if you buff killers too, solo survs need another buff and so on ....
The problem is the SWF. Separate them and let everyone decide on him oder herself where to play. It can be so easy.

That'd lead to a bunch of potentially unnecessary lobby-dodging, for no real benefit.
I empathise with the plight of the solo players there, though, for real. Balance still needs fixing.
This is practically already reality. When i am in lobby with a 3SWF it took sometimes much more than 10 minutes to find a killer. And i stopped nearly completely to play killer. And in the rare case i do i confirm its no swf. One private Profile automatically leads to dodging. A Vac Ban also.

Then buff solos. Give them BT and Kindred as base set. And SWF will see if they get killers or if they get never ending queues ...

There are usually two things that makes the killer games super unfun; games that are way too easy and games that are way too hard
Unfortunately for DBD, the vast vast vast majority of killer games seem to be one of those two.
Someone is getting obliterated in my games for the most part. No matter which side it is, that's not a ton of fun.
And that is exactly the problem bhvr cant solve. Too easy are games against random solos and unfair are games against swf. Exceptions prove the rule.

That's why I said bridge the gap between swf and solo.
"So if there is no swf you will really leave dbd no matter how many perks you unlocked nor how many costumes/styles you earned or even bought?"
Yes. I for one play for fun - and while I enjoy looking at Leon's pretty behind I wouldn't mind playing some RE2 instead if it's his butt I want to see and I hzave to play by myself anyway. I rather burn 10-ish euros, buy another game and have fun with my friends rather than hang around in dbd all by myself. I know pretty much for sure cause it has happened for quite a few other games already. Heck, I even left games I had 4000+ hours in and had unlocked hundreds of euros worth of cosmetics (even though I unlocked most of them the grindy way, like with shards in dbd) simply because the people I played the game with left and playing 70% by myself turned into 100% by myself.
"So what is so frightening of this experiment?" For me? Like I said, that the whole point of getting the game in the first place was to play with friends.
But how will you fill the gap without neglecting the Killer in the end? And i just want two models to see which is fitter.
If you will leave its ok but i dont think that many will follow you. But new players will come and many who took a time out probably will come back too. Sure SWF is fun but it means also having many advantages compared to solo players. And which game closed a mp-mode so that you left it?
And just in case if there are two servers and you stay at swf server but there are nearly no killers what will you do? Will you think about again and maybe understand how unfair swf was or will you really be stubborn and leave a very good game? And do you always play only computer games with your friends?

I think there are a lot of reasons for a population imbalance. There's no social aspect to playing killer and you can't play with friends (custom matches don't count).
You have to be "on" all the time when playing killer. There's no reprieve in the gameplay i.e. gens. This doesn't mean killer is too hard per se, but it requires more attention span. I'm certainly not logging in for a relaxing killer session after 9 hrs of work. On the weekends, sure.
But beyond all of this, we don't even know what a healthy surv vs killer ratio is. People leaked some numbers and everyone assumes they're bad. That could be a normal ratio and we would never know. We have zero basis for comparison. Just a few days snippet out of context
Almost every one made the experience that there are not enough killers esp. at evening/night. There was a ratio of 1:50 at east coast server some days ago. I - and many others too - experience lobby dodging by killers at evening time and i agree with you that playin killer usually (and esp. against swf squad) is somehow bull*! ;)
So i draw the consequence the problem is swf. Of course all swf fans will rage against this point of view but nevertheless its a fact. Without SWF it would extremely easy to balance dbd.
And i can understand swf fans since i played swf too and with voice chat its great fun for sure. But 100% and only for swf. Thinking more about it i came to conclusion this destroy the game. In an ideal dbd there would be at least the option to exclude swf for killers/solo survs. Then swf has to get along with these killers who still like to be bullied and outplayed by swf squads that know every part of every map and coordinate perks in order to win every match.

There is no SWF problem in DbD. It's a matchmaking issue if a killer is completely overmatched.
But this is in most cases a problem. Why do you think we have less killers at evening and very long queue for survs then? Why do you think matchmaking has to be adapt and almost always give killers a bad experience and these killers will stop playin killer too?
And if you buff killers its even gettin worse for solo survs. No matter how you twist and turn it the problem is the swf squad!

Perhaps they want to play in a fun way that doesn't involve hanging around the hook and chasing the same two survivors until its a 3v1.
I am pretty sure withou swf and slightly buffed solo survs bot sides will have more fun than right now. Of course swf fans have to raise their objection since they benefit most from actual situation.

The way I see it, all three of your points can be addressed by bridging the gap between solo-q and swf and balance killers against that (and considering their recent survey they are thinking about ways to bridge the information gap between swf and solo-q). There is just too much of a difference between solo-q and swf - the most important being comms. If you balance against solo-q, swf are just op. If you balance against swf, solo-q is a chaotic mess and a guranteed zero fun experience (at least for the survivors - but I guess even for killers chasing down four clueless chickens gets old soon enough).
The big issue with your "make it two servers and one will die (mwuahahahaha)" comes with the issue that it is a punitive/destructive solution; "if you don't like it then leave". That's not likely to be put into practise because it is a) more expensive (more servers that need to be paid for) and b) you're actively killing part of your playerbase. Dbd devs don't want less people to play the game. They want more people. Effectively removing the play-with-your-friends-aspect will drive away those who want to play with their friends.
(Personally, I play solo-q more often than swf but not because it's so much fun/I enjoy it more but because I look at it as practise for when I get to play with my friends in swf. My friends have a lot less free time than I. In your scenario, I would stop playing dbd and all of us would find a different game to play as "swf"/co-op in genral at times and I do think quite a few players are in the same boat as I)
The problem is you have 3 groups and its nearly impossible to balance them out in a fair way. Since i also played swf i could see a very big difference between random and swf group. The gap is far too big and the killers is within this gap figuratively speaking.
A second server/platform is just to find out which way of playin will be more successful. In my proposal both will compete and one will win. I am sure that without swf will win and the reactions of swf lobby convinces me even more.
So if there is no swf you will really leave dbd no matter how many perks you unlocked nor how many costumes/styles you earned or even bought? Tbh i really doubt it. Sure some will leave for ever. But a big amount will arrange with the new situation. And it will attract to new players. Plus Killers will have more fun and we will have enough killers even at night time.
So what is so frightening of this experiment? The high probability that solo players and killers will be more successful?

When the devs last put out data about such things (maybe over two years ago?) they said about half of all survivors were in at least a two-man SWF. Since solo queue has gotten less and less fun as time passes I have to believe that number has only grown.
So it's very likely the vast majority of survs now are in some form of a SWF, especially with lots of killers now playing survivor due to the recent killer experience worsening as well.
Although we don't know the numbers, you're talking about most of the much larger playerbase being turned off in effect. This is what most here mean when they say it'll kill this game.
I do wish we did get updated player numbers to see for ourselves though...
With my model you could determine how high the potential really is and whether SWF is really important. Who says that many who use SWF now just run away, especially when they experience a massive killer shrinkage in reality on their SWF server? Not a few should think about that.
The way things are going now, SWFs are massively favored and solo players are disadvantaged accordingly. The killer lies in between, but tends towards the solo player in my experience in countless chats.

Its not my point of view. Its a given situation. Additionally SWF isnt extremely OP. Its an issue if you have those 1% of the playerbase that sweat their ass of in a 4man in casual. Duo as example isnt that much better than solo. Killers are just way more pathetic than survivors in not accepting how bad they are, and theyre not even trying to improve properly. Instead its way easier to try to abuse gameflaws or blame other things but not themselfs. Like I play occasionally Trapper for 5 years now and still have my 3k average at quite good mmr. Trapper is still a weaker killer, but i still have my way to win consistently and not having to rely on gameflaws or bad designs. And why? cause i know what iam doing. If i played blight i probaly would lose all games, cause i dont know how to play, but i would never blame the game or survivors for my loss like those crybabies on the forum.
Can you proof your thesis? I bet you cant. Reality says something different and i bet with you if you gave players the choice the SWF Server wont have any killers. But without Killer the game is useless. And offending others is a) unfair and will lead b) to the opposite. And the way you argue and offend others show me that i hit the nail on the head. Of course SWF dont want to loose their privilege. But why prefer one group and neglect two groups?
I just made a proposal.

It doesnt make any difference. If you cant play SWF in an Koop game, most SWF players will quit. Dont know why this is so hard to understand. And to be fair, this forum ist just about a bunch of crybaby killers whining everyday and ignoring any reasons. thats exactly why devs will never really listen to the forum. you cant take those killer players serious. If anything would go their way, the game would be a stomping simulator for killers.
So its your point of view. I clearly see an option and dont share your opinion at all. But how do you know all Killers that refuse SWF are „crybaby killers“? Or does it came from you SWF-Glasses not to realize that SWF is etremely op? These Killer players started dodging Lobbys and Surv queue is getting longer. And if more and more leave against whom will you fight with your SWF resp. when will you realize that there is a problem in balance? When you wait 20 Minutes for a match in the evening?
And you clearly did not respect the Solo Survs. They are at the end of this misery.

Better program killer bots for the SWF server.
Sure an option. But i am afraid they will get bored with Killer Bots while the Solo Survs have fun with alle the Killers and vice versa.

I dont know what you read there, but i didnt say anything in that regard. Killer always go the easiest way. Thats why they always blame others and never recognize their own mistakes nor their lack of skill. This game without SWF is dead for sure.
Thats why i proposed to buff Solo Survs to make matches with Killer more balanced. But Killers have a good reason to avoid SWF and i read many threads just in this forum here about it. So i am pretty sure DbD can exist without SWF.

Imagine how completely neglected Solo Survs feel in this world?
Would you change to an alternative server without SWF and slightly buffed Survs to get balanced matches probably without toxic bhvr?
