- You can just quote me or just post a reply here and I will be notified.
- You need to do better with your sarcasms because the way you worded seem like it was a serious suggestion by you
- Don't say, "in all seriousness" and then come back and say, "it was sarcasm"
- Go to the general section if you want less serious topics. I am trying to start an actual conversation with the community to solve a serious issue about long chases.
4Head is a pretty obvious indication of sarcasm. And the fact I then go "in all seriousness" makes it even more apparent that I was being sarcastic before and am now being serious. Hence, "seriousness."
It's not complicated lol.
-
I'll start off by saying SwF is w/e for me. Not every group is this super-organised team of Gods that relay everything through NATO command.
That being said, I don't see an issue with this being implemented.
SwF is inherently unfair towards killer and I believe they should be given the choice as to whether they wish to play it or not.
Preparing for the worst constantly is terrible advice. Playing with ebony mori iri-head Huntress or omega-blink Nurse every game is extremely boring for the killer and the solo's alike.
-
Personally, I think a rematch option would be nice. Just because something can be toxic is not reason enough to omit features that could benefit the game.
I can teabag as a survivor, suppose they should remove the ability to crouch. I can shake my head as killer, suppose they should remove the ability to turn the camera.
People will always find ways to BM, if your skin's really that thin, then games aren't for you.
-
I don't think all killers should be brought up to Nurse or Spirit level - quite simply because they're excessively boring to go against - but rather, to Billy's level.
I think he's a good benchmark personally.

@βLAKE first off, your name is a pain to at.
2nd, the loop's quite obviously bs. I was being sarcastic smh.
-
OP should just learn how to run the Ironworks of Misery window more efficiently 4Head
In all seriousness, crutchlust should go along with the dumb loops that require it.
-
Imagine actually running BnC for the aura reading.
-
Because nobody really cares. They're just annoying most of the time.
-
If 180 lunges are so ridiculous, when can we expect you all to advocate for the removal of 360's? Those movements are equally as nonsensical.
No. Instead of complaining about non-issues, you should learn how to loop if you're finding killer lunges such a problem.
-
@Bbbrian2013 she doesn't need a buff. Frame rate and sensitivity need looking into.
-
Flawed logic. You could also suggest that because she has the lowest kill rate on two platforms, she actually needs a buff.
-
NOED is just like old DS in every way.
It rewards a side for playing poorly and punishes the other for doing what they're supposed to. "Just do bones" is as weak a counterargument as "just dribble" for DS was. Quite simply, it's not always that simple.
And just like DS, NOED acts as a 2nd chance safety net for killers who'd typically otherwise get none-to-few kills.
Yes, even if you play perfectly, you can still lose to a good team, but why shouldn't it be like that? 4 good players have come together to beat 1 good player. That is the nature of an asymmetrical game.
-
This change would completely remove the point in lunging. To dodge it, all you'd have to do is move a few feet to the side.
-
I find it's a far more enjoyable game when you stop caring about how many kills you get, but rather, how many chases you win.
Not much else to add that @Laakeri hasn't.
-
The RNG has a nice duality to it. The gates can spawn next to each other making them hard to open, or they can spawn far apart from each other, making them hard to patrol.
They're fine.
-
It's not unfair for them to want a fun game and being camped or tunnelled to death is not that.
If they don't extend the same courtesy, however (Lampkin Lane offering, insta, etc.), well; now, that's a different story.
-
@Carpemortum it's irrelevant if it was an unintended side effect to begin with. It's an aspect of the game very much taken into consideration by the devs now when they design and release killers, perks, etc.. Just look at Clown. That whole chapter was more or less centred around looping and anti-loop.
Hiding and unhooking later does not counter Nurse. You're simply avoiding her as much as you can until the game's over. Fun.
-
@RoKrueger she literally circumvents everything a survivor has to prolong a chase with minimal counterplay that only works on bad Nurses.
If you were a good Nurse, you'd know this. Then again, you said you weren't as much.
-
The only annoying thing I can see with Myers is when he stalks everyone else and then decides to blow his load and tombstone you instead.
He's not a broken killer, so you should learn how to deal with him. He isn't going anywhere soon.
-
This'd be just the push I need to stop playing maps like Thompson's House or Disturbed Ward.
-
I know the feeling. I looped a Trapper on swamp who focused me for 4 gens. The sad thing is the cowboy Jake followed us around the entire time and then missed a free FL save while the Adam immersed all game. My mate was the only one doing anything. I then got camped to death while he NOED'd the Jake and Adam. Truly God-tier gamers.
-
Just as most killers complain about keys, instas, "gen-rushing," and the like, most survivors complain about tunnelling and camping because they're extremely boring ways to play the game.
-
The only attention Billy needs is to his add-ons and maybe the chainsaw hitbox. He is not hard to loop and no one with a working set of eyes actually gets hit by his cross-map chainsaws. Don't be melodramatic.
-
@Captain_Doomsday just because "toxic SWF parties" blind at pallets, doesn't make it inherently BM. It's a strategy to try and confuse the killer with simple methods to counter it. Saying something should go solely on that reason alone is pretty dumb.
Toxic SWF parties also loop and do gens every trial, guess that should be dealt with, too. See what I mean?
@Acromio being blinded at a pallet can hardly be compared to a free hook state or kill. Don't be ridiculous.
-
So, let me get this straight... You're complaining that perks that even you acknowledge needed changing... got changed... and that's bad? OK.
Am I missing some point to this thread or something, then? Because if I'm not mistaken, you've defeated your own argument: "Most killers" complained about perks like DS and MoM because they needed attention.
-
They're not impossible, they're just no longer free.
-
Comparing anyone to Hag is hardly fair.
-
@RexFulgur it's been explained multiple times why simply walking away doesn't work. Hell, the post directly above yours does exactly that. Read before posting.
You hear her footsteps? No, you don't. That feature almost never works even when she's coming to "outplay" you with Prayer Beads.
If you have nothing helpful to actually contribute, don't bother.
-
@Zarathos I understand where you're coming from, but just because games can go quickly every now and then, doesn't mean we should refuse to acknowledge and fix other problems, too.
@NuclearBurrito The fact you said that the Spirit could see your aura and it'd still be a mindgame shows that you don't quite understand what a mindgame is. All you've done is describe a set of possible courses of action, but you've failed to address that the Spirit can determine which one you've taken, but not the survivor for the Spirit.
This is the crux of the problem. The Spirit is not predicting a prediction as she can react to the tells and know what your prediction was. The survivor does not have that luxury.
"If there truly was no mindgame, then the survivor would have no guess to make." Yet... there is no guess for the Spirit. Does that mean it's still a mindgame?
-
@Zarathos that's a problem with the speed of the game which I agree could be slowed down.
-
@HorsePower Just use Iron Will 5Head
-
@johnny_XMan and SWF and Solo Queuing aren't two different things, too? I simply used your logic.
Just as SWF is your saving grace from Solo Queuing, Nurse is a lot of killer's saving grace from weaker killers. That doesn't mean Nurse and SWF are balanced, however.
-
@SunderMun I understand what you meant.
If you're walking away, all the Spirit has to do is phase to where she last saw you. You were walking, so chances are you're not making another rotation of the loop when she spots you post-phase.
Of course, this is all assuming there's no sound or visual tells whatsoever (which is unlikely).
-
So, because solo queuing sucks, SWF is fine. I love that logic.
Well, Wraith sucks, so Nurse is fine, right? No.
-
@Acromio what a meme.
@SunderMun that's exactly the thing. No good Spirit phases straight away or for very long. They use it often and in short bursts in response to what you do. If I were to slowly walk away, that's when they simply begin the phase and hit me. My only real option is to guess and hope the Spirit messes up.
My problem with using Iron Will is that it's quite like "just use Bamboozle," which doesn't solve anything. It's just a band-aid.
@miaasma I feel like a lot of people are sick of weaker killers, so tend to forget that there are balance issues on both ends of the spectrum.
-
Surv: Lery's. I just love a map that all looks the same.
Killer: Lampkin Lane. Too much balanced map design going on here for me.
-
Mr. Tusk from Tusk.
-
Boring.
I usually see it on killers who spend the entire game chasing 1 person and then when they're finally dead, they use NOED to get 1 more.
-
I stood still real hard at a pallet as Spirit.
-
On the bright side, they don't get Nurse every other game.
It's where I go when I'm bored of the glorious amounts of counterplay I have against a reactionary blinker.
-
I think of all the better things I could be doing with my time.
-
@radicaldenson remove the timer? So, literally revert it to what it was before? Except now you can't be dribbled. Rofl.
-
Better run DS, too, if you plan on using that in my game.
-
@artist it's always depressing when the sarcasm is lost.
Though I do wish I had an actual reason to bring Doctor or Trapper out.
-
@artist Yes. NOED and an Ebony should do the trick.
-
@Dreamnomad there is a door. Next to the stairs... I use it to turn around and leave.
-
The last several I remember all ran NOED and one camped me in a 3v1 game... Indeed, true legends. Red btw.
