You know who thinks killers like Doc and Freddy are OP?
People who aren't good at looping them, or looping killers in general.
They're both very much still reliant on their chase skills, as their powers do nothing to help them get downs and kills. Deathslinger still requires you to be actually good at aiming, something most people actually aren't good at.
I'm sorry but you're very much in the wrong, git gud. I mean it. I'm sick of bad survivors muddying the matchmaking thinking the killer they are versing are overpowered when in reality it's just their own skill that's gone down.
i am really good at looping killers thank you very much and i would love to hear how i am suppose to loop a freddy or doc whne doc just stuns me whne i get near the pallets or window making it unable to be used and freddy just put a trap down , cmon gimme ya pathetic advices so i can laugh at them and then destroy them
their powers don't help them get kills ? their power make the only survival tools of survivors unable to be utilized
yes but if you can aim with him he is OP and boring to play againts and being hard should never be an excuse for something being OP , and also its not that hard tbh
git gud ? maybe your rank 20 skills are good at rank 20 but in my red rank they arent

I'm not even gonna dignify that with a response. You're in the wrong place if you wanna call Doctor and Freddy OP, ridiculous.
Doc and freddy are OP everyone knows it , only killer mains like to pretend they arent
you don't answer because you know i am right and you can't counterargue me you are just using them as a strawman to avoid this argument that you have already lost , even if i didnt called doc and freddy OP it doenst change the fact that wasting pallets by early dropping them is never bad for any killer and always a soft throw from survivors
if anything deathslinger forcing survivors to waste their ressources because you can't loop him and being almost a stealth killer with monitor is too strong and need a nerf
-
@Heinz_Ketchup_Packet said:

Yeah but all that no windup and stealth won't stop him from getting hard countered from a simple early pallet drop. If you drop a pallet in front of a Huntress you're down. That's why I think that if Deathslinger can pull survivors over pallets, he would be WAY more intimidating and better in chase to make up for being 110%.
since when forcing a early palette drop is a hard counter to any killer ? if anything its a soft throw from survivors AND ITS GOOD FOR HIM , againts any decent killer players if you just insta drop pallets and don't try to use them to loop and waste some time you are just throwing , its the same reason why doc and freddy are so annoying and OP because you can't loop them and are force to early drop pallets all the time and waste your ressource without being able to even try maximize their potential

This must've been some kinda of a bug (long time ago i had 4 gens remaining on the final generator).
Maybe the game couldn't figure out where to put a generator?

The number of gens has not been changed. If you're sure of what happened, you should report this as a bug.

@CharlieCreston said:
I think you misunderstand the meaning of "hitscan". His shots do take a brief moment to move through the air, qualifying them as projectiles.
However, you are very much correct about Deathslinger. By god, the man's ability is an instant shutdown on any loop with a window if you're good enough with your aim! It's unbelievable how frequently I can catch survivors out simply because there was no way to avoid getting hit. Still, it's very possible to play against and win against the Deathslinger, it just requires team communication and coordination. Additionally Dead Hard (if it works) does seem to allow players to dodge the spear, and general juking methods (like you would use against a Huntress' hatchets) do seem to be effective against most middle-skilled Deathslingers currently. By all means, I think Deathslinger falls into the "OP Killers that are a crutch for bad players" category, particularly with add-ons but he's not without his flaws. Although he can be frustrating to play against, it does make the killer pretty fun to play as, and I think as players acclimate more to his ability and mechanics, you'll see him start to feel a little less overpowered... But only a little ;P
yeah its not per say full on hitscan but its so fast it might actually be hitscan , you still can't dodge it 90% of the time
I personally don't use dead hard and i play in red rank and can dodge huntresses just fine but deathslingers are a big NO NO can't dodge him
also yeah makes sense that a character that give your opponent no chances of fighting back his gonna be fun to play as

since its nerf its legit the worst addon in the game lol
i also love all the butthurts killer mains who complains about it being an 1 use insta heal when they have many perks and stuff to have almost infinite on use insta downs
even before its nerf i wouldnt run it , 1 insta heal healthstate that also destroy my medkit ? thats wasnt worth it back then , its worth even less now

So why not play more killer?
Just spitballing here, if Killer gets more BP why not just get that BP?
BBQ & Chili can help get loads more BP, and you don't even need to tryhard or pip to get a lot of bloodpoints.
I know some people here are diehard Survivor/Killer mains but I feel like this change should encourage more survivor mains to play more killer.
why should we play killer to get what we need as survivor ? i should be able to get what i need as survivor by playing survivor
lets make the role feels bad to make people go play the other role 5Head and still the bloodpoint isnt the only issue if anything its the smallest one , it doenst change how much harder is it for survivors to get anything of value in their bloobwebs what is the biggest issue
If i had the choice between having x3 bloodpoints for free without needing perks each game or have the chances of good items and addons for survivors to be increase i rather have take the second options , as no matter how much bloodpoints i have if i take 10 bloodwebs like i said to only get 1 decent addons or items it doenst matter and they would have to increase the chances of getting good items/addons by A LOT

salty killer that cannot accept the truth and facts about keys being UP and not even close to mori power , stay ignorant not my problem

@Hoodied said:
I can answer this
Killers bring up keys when mori's are mentioned as they do the same thing almost
Mori's deliver HUGE pressure, Key's take away HUGE pressure by having 1-4 survivors escaping through hatch
Both equally powerful, simple changes can be done to them to make them still useful
Ebony Mori- All survivors must be hooked once before you can mori any survivor
Ivory-Same as before
Cypress-Base kit
Keys- give a process to opening hatch, sort of like working on an exit gate. It being instant can make the killer only watch as the survivor gets out without punishment
Simple balance changes to make both weaker, while making them useful still. People have mentioned the 2 hook idea for Mori's but then they will become almost useless as its safer to just hook the survivor for the sacrifice.
i am sorry but how does keys offer huge pressure equal to moris , for all survivors to escape you need to do all the gens even for only 2 person you need at leats 3 gens so more than 50 % of the objectif and then find the hatch what again isnt easy
moris are legit just hook and tunnel , moris offer way WAY more pressure compare to keys , you barely need to do 20 % of your overall objectif to use one and then you get a free win as turning the game into a 3v1 depending on how many gens are left can mean a very easy 4k for a killer most of the time
the pressure isnt even close to similar

It only hurt low rank survivors or survivors that couldn’t hit skillchecks well. You devs need to revert ruin back to the way it was originally (affecting skill checks but other slowdown perks should not apply while ruin is active e.g pop,corrupt,surveillance,discordance,etc) old ruin was perfectly balanced and old ruin wasn’t a problem as as survivors reached red ranks and practiced in kyf they would know that ruin was fine.
please devs fix the game :) and stop catering to bad survivors and let them have to git gud just like we have to.
it wasnt a nerf it was a rework , i personally find new ruin more powerful in the right killers build
yes old ruined worked good on all killers but new one work amazingly on killers with good map and gen pressure like demo or doctor or spirit
nothing more annoying than to almost complete 1 gen than the killer force you out of it and in 20 sec its progress is back to 0

So for a while there I didn’t see too many Self Cares - it seemed to fall out of favour, and I haven’t run it myself for a long time. But recently, I see multiple Self Cares in almost every match I play, and I’m red rank on both sides.
Does anyone else have this experience? I understand why some people run it, even if I’m not a fan of the perk personally, but it’s more popular than DS in my experience which is pretty crazy.
I use it when i don't have a good enough medkit , if i do have one i use botany knowledge but since the addons lost of survivors it becomes way harder to use medkits as good medkit and their addons are super rare in the bloodweb so most of the time i am left with crappy medkits and addons that arent worth running even wih botany knowledge
PS : i would like to talk about survivor mains who make fun or look down upon other survivor mains for ruining selfcare but those are the same survivors spending an eternity wounded in a corner of the map trying to be sneaky to not fall down because they are wounded and then fall down in 1 hit after being found , if only you had self care and spended 20 sec of this eternity of sneaking healing with it maybe you wouldnt have fallen down in 1 hit and wasted even more time just trying to be extra careful because you were wounded

What exactly does Mori Spamming do to your gameplay? Oh right, literally nothing else that being slugged does. If you get triggered, it's your own fault.
Oh wait, it isnt like that because the devs aren't Survivor biased in the slightest and only ban killers for taunting.
:)
are you dumb ? how can you compare teabag to moris ? moris legit allow you to remove people out of the game faster so yes it does affect the gameplay
teabagging legit does nothing to the killer most of the time it helps them more than anything else because while this survivor is teabagging at a pallette they arent gaining distance on the killer
i have never seen such a dumb comparison , you talk about survivor bias but your killer bias legit make you say the most stupid things ever

"Soft counter". Also Doc cant negate loops, you maybe just dont know how to play against him. Before you try to talk about entitlement you should inform yourself what are you even talking about lul. And I never said I dont like OoO. I even appreciate it having one in the game, with that I always know what 1 survivor is doing, that can help me alot to apply even more pressure.
yeah soft as the survivors don't see the killer at all the time unless he is just trying to do so and the killer also has the perk to see the survivor + seeing traps doenst mean you fully negate them or can avoid them sometime you can see a trapper trap a loop but you couldnt disarm the trap in time and now you are getting chase and that loop that you had is no longer usable
sorry but doc does negate loops all he has to do his shock the pallette or window the survivors wanna use as soon as the survivor get near it and the survivors can no longer use it , there is no playing againts doc fully counter loops
i am a rank 1 so i know what i am speaking off unlike you it seems , if you can''t abuse doc stupid easy to abuse power to get free wins too bad for you

Thats not how a game is supposed to go. In games should be counters yes but not that hard that your entire ability is getting negated almost completly.
@Rivyn said:
Specifically, Trapper and Hag. Moreso Trapper. Nine times out of ten, when this perk is used, it's a SWF, giving the perk even more power. Tunneling the user into the dirt usually ends up costing the match, since they want to waste your time. Ignoring them will simply disable your traps for most, if not all, of the match. Isn't there some way to d̶e̶l̶e̶t̶e̶ change the perk in a way that doesn't shut down trap abilities?
funny how killers mains don't like OoO because it soft counter traps at best but are okay with doctor hard countering loops and stealth with even less effort talk about hypocrisy

No, your first sentence clearly said useless, "Survivors have 5 time more add-ons than killer 90 % of them being useless..."
Now I can agree to a certain point on what you mean. But try looking at it from a different angle. Survivors have no specific power. Their items and add-ons can be used by ANY survivor. Yes, you may be looking for a specific item right now, but that doesn't mean those "useless" items won't be used at a later time. But killers have unique powers with specific add-ons; no one wants to play the same killer every single match. Son in that regard, they have to spend their BP wisely because they want to try different killers based on different play styles. But with one survivor, if you give it all the perks, you never have to trade it out. So you'll always have a plentiful supply of add-ons for future games that you can immediately adjust your play style to.
One other counterpoint to consider is that killers have useless add-ons too that are just as common to get in the BP when compared to a survivor. Like Bubba having an add-on for his chainsaw that doesn't instadown people or Freddy's snares being essentially useless. How often do you see those add-ons being used and how much of those add-ons do you think they have?
yes 90 % of the survivors addons are useless the 10 % left are useful but very weak and you still didnt addres the main prob of my post the fact that killers can get addons Way way easier than survivors can , what is the injustice i am talking about
oh cool i can take other items with the same survivor but just like i explain almost every items are wack and situational at best so it doenst matter I rather be like the killers and be stuck with 1 good reliable item/power with whom i can get reliably addons for in the bloodweb like killers can , than have the choice between 5 equally irrelevant items with whom i have to pray to the entity to maybe gimme the 1 addon i want in the 5 next bloobwebs
-
@ThePetDetective said:
if most addons are useless for a survivor, just use them for what they are and don't be worried. if they're that bad, you can survive without them. the addons that are REALLY good (Blood Amber, Brand New Part, Septic/Anti-Hemorrhagic, etc) are all meant to be one time splurge uses anyway. how is it fair to bring a skeleton key with blood amber + prayer beads and keep the tiniest sliver of it if a trapper can't keep his trapper sack or a clown's fingerless gloves even if they 4k double pip?
Beside all those points, your point of it being unfair doesn't even hold water. You keep the item, unanimously the most important part of an item, and you even have the option of running Ace in the Hole, which was only buffed in the patch (keep addons AND the 100% + 50% chest addons).
did i say "useless" ? no i didnt i said barely useful they still have value not just enough value to be consider so OP that they need to be lost
most of the pink addons of survivors items are some of the worst addons since their nerfs even if i didnt lost them i wouldnt take them , i am more mad when i loose my green addons for medkit than any pink useless addons
skeleton keys are not even good there is no diff between them and purple keys and keys in general are bad most of the time to use them you already won the game or loose horribly in a way that shouldnt be possible and you'll still need to find the closed hatch what isnt easy
why can't survivors keep their addons if they do well hein ?
btw that isnt true most items outside of keys are even more bad than normal without addons i rather keep my green addons than my item , map are worthless , medkit can only heal you once without addons what is nothing , toolbox run out even faster and flashlight even with addons i barely notice a diff
why i should waste a perk slot for an almost irrelevant perk that is only good if you run other synergy perks with it to be able to keep my addons
and also you miss the entire point if at leats it was as easy for survivor as it is for killer to obtain their addons why not , but survivors have a 5 time harder time to get addons compare to killer

Does it allow you to gain distance and make it to the next pallet in a chase where otherwise you would never make it without it?
Sounds like a second chance to me.
for me second chances perk are perk that allow you to escape a normaly none escapable situation like being hooked or slugged or carried , you can still dodge an attack from a killer dead hard just makes it easier , for me even adrenaline isnt really a second chance perk but everyone love to call it one and even if dead hard is truly one its a both very skillful and very buggy to make work perk so idk why you complain
like so many killers main say all the time GET GUD

You level one survivor to level 30 to get access to his perks and then move on to grinding them up in your main survivor BW. Are you complaining that you don't have access to all those precious add-ons you got from tiny pre level 50 bloodwebs?
yes i am complaining because not everyone does what you do and like i said it can take up to 5 bloodwebs for survivors to have 1 specific addons
-
@avilmask said:
Except you can play one survivor as any other, but killers are all different. You compare one survivor to one killer, and little to nobody plays only one killer. For each killer you not only have their own add-ons, you also have to level up all perks from scratch.
and ? unless all survivors would share their pool of addons and item it would make sense but they don't , your point is unvalid

no they shouldnt , if thats the case then they should add a feature for survivors to have more chances to get a specific addon or item they want , because right now it makes no sense that survivors should have an way harder time getting their items and addons when both are weaker than killers
survivors are not OP honey you just bad
addons that they can very easily obtain unlike survivors and addons that most of the time can mean a free win for the killer , unlike survivors who have no items or addons left that give them a free win

why are you talking to me about huntress OP addons ?
keys are some of the worst survivors item alongside maps , keys are only good for lost games or for already won games
brand new parts are never used because of how bad toolboxes are now and because how bad brand new part is but okay sure honey
again no one use keys and even if they do most of the time it barely changes anything outside of preventing you from getting 1 kill
yes because huntress and killers addons in general are way easier to get because way less varaints in the bloodweb and way more OP than whatever survivors can bring thats why killers don't keep them and killers unlike survivors don't have to fear to loose their items unlike survivors who can loose them by just dying
okay so i guess you didnt play dbd recently no wonder you are so ignorant about everything , no you don't keep ya addons as survivor anymore thus why i made this post

And you'd be able to swap out dead perks too. So let's say you're a killer with Ruin but Ruin gets destroyed? You can go to a perk changing station and change to your other pre-selected perk. (Let's say Pop). It'd take maybe 5 seconds for killers to swap a perk, while it'd take 10 seconds for survivors. Would be kind of hard to work though, since you couldn't swap in say... Hex perks. And I don't think you should be able to swap out DS if you've already used it.
sound like a bad idea and sound more like you wanting a way to nerf survivors with you asking for survivors to get have it harder with the "no switch DS even if used" and survivor take longer to switch perks ectect
and even with your bias toward killers put aside i still think it would be a very bad idea overall

Build in perk may make some Survivor meta, especially I see only Laurie has DS. Though yes, at least you never face DS + Borrowtime + Balance Land in the same build
Though I have another idea that suggested along time ago. Giving Survivor 24 point slots for Perk, weakest perk like Dejavu Tier1 takes 4 slots, strong perk like Andrenaline takes 7 slot. There will be the choice between able to setup in 6 weak perks, or 3 powerful perks. Of course you can adjust Perk's level to suit your play.
I can see your idea of points but overall it might do more harm than good because good/decent builds that arent OP would be nerfed and yes you could create a 6 perk build but if the perks are too weak and many are , it would be pointless anyway
my current build is 4 perk that i think all would cost 7 point so it would def hurt me "Adrenaline , SB , Selfcare , hope" and i don't see any good build with 6 weak perks unless you buff the current 7 cost perk to be worth it and buff aswell the weak 4 cost perk to be able to create decent build there isnt much point
and for the sake of fairness and balance it would have to be added to killers as well and they would like this even less as many killers and killers in general are more dependent on good perk/builds

I can see the idea but at the same time it isnt what i was talking about , what this post ask for is more individuality for survivors and their gameplay what I am asking is for more interesting builds by having acces to 1 more perk slot
this post only include survivors so in the end its unfair for killers of cours we could do the same for killers but one could argue that the killers power would already be that and they don't deserve a passive perk on top of it , at leats with my idea its fair and less tricky for both side
and the idea of this poster would be a lot of work and thinking for the devs to come up with special passive perks for all survivors and killers if we do the same for them and i don't see the devs bothering with that , at leats my idea is pretty straight forward and easy to do
so yeah for you maybe its a "better" suggestion but from my point of view it isnt and neither is it for the sake of balance
