Solo q is just painful and miserable, but what do you expect when Behaviour have solo q in the last place in their list of priorities. So we might see an improvement in a few years, maybe we get to see teammates perks, who knows

I really doubt pain res or pop need a nerf. Especially pop, considering it's the healthiest slowdown perk in the game.
do you think the last buff it had from 25% to 30% was necessary or justified?

Well when they keep nerfing perks like STBFL (which is coming) and nerfing trickster from PTB, or chucky from PTB or Xenomorph or all the other nerfs they keep doing while completely ignoring blight and nurse for years at this point. What do you expect?
The nerfs you mention for chucky and xeno are .X seconds on an action if im noit mistraken, and in the case of xenomorph it was because there wasnt any counterplay to his tail attack, how can you think thats fair? And the STBFL nerf is just pure hipocrisy, ist on the last spots of most used perks, they killed or are going to kill every survivor perk in the top 3, but they just start on the last one on the list for the killer side, instead of nerfing pain res and pop. Again, if you are a killer main, you are having or will have a blast, because you will have the easiest matches ever as this trend of survivors killing themselves will continue to grow over and over
-
I see it too, and I ve been playing mostly as survivor lately, and it happens to me as well, sometimes Im tired of seeing every match the same regression combo perk of pain res and pop, and the same tunneling strategy at 4-5 gens, it gets so frustrating and more when you are playing in solo q. I think the overall survivor side feels a fatigue from behaviour destroying survivor perks, giving nerf after nerf after nerf, and only buffing niche or situational perks such as that one from Renato, dont remember the name, who asked a buff for that perk?? are you kidding me? you have 200+ perks where you can only use 10-15 as survivor because the other rest are pure trash, and you buff one perk that was already OK, wasnt the best, but worked fine where it was. Survivors havent had a good buff in a while, and besides that the nerfs will continue coming, and you know how behaviour nerf perks, they destroy them and make them SOO situationals that no one will even try to use them. So to sum it up, in my head giving up so frequently overtunes killers and perks statistics in some way, I can only hope that helps to nerf some stuff on the killer side, and im pretty sure im not the only one that thinks in that way, because if it wasnt like this, you wouldnt have survivors killing themselves every other match.
Edit: Also, solo q is trash, and it seems its always on the lowest level of priorities, so at least be happy to have those crappy game where you can win so easily, its the killer mains wet dream, instead of having good matches where you dont know whats gonna happen already at 5 gens.
Edit2: Sorry for the rant, this game is so frustrating

While people clamoring to not nerf it aren't "babies", it's refreshing to see someone having a similar idea to mine.
STBFL is, in my opinion, one of the most well-designed perks in the game.
Why? Because weak/average M1 Killers can get a lot of uses out of it and the powerhouses (Nurse & Blight) can hardly use it.
Perks that are powerful but not made busted by stronger Killers are few, and STBFL is one of them.
Except for deactivating when next to a hooked Survivor, STBFL shouldn't be changed.
Sloppy Butcher is arguably along those same lines (it allows weak Killers some amount of slowdown to compensate for harder chases and potentially having to drop chase while strong Killers don't really benefit from it as much).
I honestly think that nerfing STBFL or Sloppy in any way will just kill the variety in Killers even more.
In higher MMR, it's a lot of Blight, Nurses, Huntresses and Spirit already. I don't want to be forced to play top-tier Killers to compete against good Survivors and I don't want to always face the same 4 Killers despite dozens of them existing.
Slopy butcher is really overtunned right now, they nerfed survivor healing and on top of that they buffed sloppy butcher, so i really hope in a near future they apply the balance hammer they used for mft and other survivor perks for SB.

I was thinking on maybe at some point where a 3 gens situation is happening, one or more gens respawn in another place to have more distance between eachother, kinda like pyramidhead cage. I dont think that would be really difficult to code and could solve any 3 gen without messing around much with maps.
-
What if the gens are re spawning when you have 1 gen left (3 gens in the match), something like that pyramid head box that if the killer is too close, it re spawn in another part of the map. Maybe they could do something like that for gens if they are found in X amount of meters between each other when you have only 1 gen left to do. without modifying maps, or anything else, just moving gens at that scenario and only if they are close enough to be considered 3-gens.

Make original killer - Everyone complains.
Make licensed killer - Everyone complains.
The fact of the matter is the game is 7 years old, and still producing quarterly content, very much unheard of. If you have any sort of hours committed to the game, everything is going to seem less impressive and redundant. I do miss the dark, gritty, foggy maps, but it hasn't stopped me from playing every few weeks.
Its about the gameplay, not if its licensed or not.
I wish we had something quite unique, that doesnt feel like a mix of other killers, for example something that hides in objects or assets, and survivors maybe has something like EMPs to know where the killer is, or maybe a killer that can fly or maybe not flying as that could lead to a whole new world of bugs and problems, but maybe planning or jumping on top of loops and pallets? Or maybe a killer that could morph, kinda dr jeckyll and mr hyde, or a werewolf killer. There are tons of crazy ideas to implement which I guess must be really complicated using code from 8 years ago on a dated engine, but well, I dont know , im just thinking out loud while eating a burrito

Well, if it have a cooldown, so you dont have unlimmited surrenders.
As it is today, even with DC punishment if :
- People dont like the killer = DC
- People dont like the map = DC
- People getting downed as the first one = DC
- People failing in mindgames = DC
Unlimited surrenders would be abused.
But in my head it wouldnt work as pressing Surrender and thats it, you need to get to a mayority of votes like League of Legends, otherwise yes its a free dc and thats not the point. The point should be getting a consensus between the players alive, if you have 3 players, with 2 positives votes out of 3 then its a surrender, so you are not held hostage by one person whos not willing to let go.
-
Zombies should also loose colition once they hit you, like killer does, I dont understand the point of making them as a wall and thats a problem in some indoor maps like RPD or Midwich

No, it's not illegal. If it was, then I'd blame it on the players. Before you try and go on the offensive like this, at least see, if you have any ground to base it on. I blamed this issue specifically on the perk and I also blame it on maps, but that's a different discussion. They players simply use a perk. Unhealthy it may be.
But since maps are never going to be balanced (if it hasn't happened after 7 years, then it will never happen), WoO is the part of this issue that we can fix. If you can extend the chase by playing good, then I commend you for that. Really, I do. I love playing against survivors that actually know how to loop and mind game. But I don't appreciate playing "Let's run to yellow and press Space" all game. This is what WoO does. You see it as soon as you take it away from them, that the players that use it absolutely cannot play without it. It becomes a crutch.
There are enough people that play both sides and judging by the incentives, we have enough survivors and killers to play with short queue times. My killer queues are almost instant. Nerfing a perk will not change that. There was a time when survivors had to learn maps and somehow that worked out too. So I doubt that a nerf to WoO would change that. I also don't want this perk to be completely useless. We have enough useless perks already.
I have played this game for almost 3 years now and really solo queue is in the best spot it's ever been. It's still not great and I agree that BHVR should try to add some means to communicate but it's really not so bad. This whole "B-B-But solo queue bad." thing is just a strawman argument at this point. You will not win every match and you probably won't reach the level of a comp SWF but most SWFs aren't much better. Playing decent is worth a lot more than standard callouts.
When I play solo survivor I usually bring Bond. You may want to try that too. It solves most solo queue issues and also gives you a general idea of the killer's location and the resources that have been used around you. And yes, using one perk slot for Bond is absolutely worth it. Especially now that there aren't any obligatory perks anymore (looking at you, 6.1.0 BT). The HUD is a big deal as well as long as you actually use the information.
I also haven't said anything about gen rush here. Do I like it? No. Because it forces me to play just as fast paced, which always means I have to tunnel or slug. Something I refuse to do because I play survivor too and I don't like when it happens to me. I follow the categorical imperative on that one. But both tunneling / slugging and gen rushing demand their respective counter parts, which makes the game all the less enjoyable for both sides. At least that's how I see it. If you have fun ending the match in 4 minutes flat, resulting in you and your team mates all on the ground, then good for you. Have fun against the next comp Blight, I guess.
My point was that the combination of both of these specific survivor and killer metas isn't great. Because it results in both sides trying to end the game as fast possible, which also results in more "stomp or get stomped" matches. Both are not great. I'd rather have a 10 minutes game and lose with 2 hooks than a 3:30 minutes game and win by slugging all survivors. The healthier alternative in my opinion would be a middle ground between increasing the own pace and slowing the other side down. Not quite like pre 6.1.0 but not quite like what we have now either.
Have you seen any competitive game? Survivors are most efficient when running from pallet to pallet, even without using WoO, they dont loop most of the times, so this is something not only new players does, but comps too. But as I see for what you said, you prefer to have chickens running to dead zones, so the matches go easier, I understand you, sometimes I want chill games too, but perks like WoO short by a lot the gap between the looping skill of a 100hours player and a 3k hours player, and just for that WoO is a really good info perk. Look how unfriendly the game is for new players, no useful tutorials, no killer guides, nothing but to play and looser a few hundred matches and watch hundreds of hour of youtube content in order to get to a certain knowledgment and be able to at least last a few more seconds in chase. I have 3k hours and 2k are for killer I believe, and the mmr when I play survivor matches me with people with 400hours or less, that can run the killer for 2 or 3 gens most of the times thanks to WoO, we need more info perks that helps new players get to know more the maps they are playing.
As a killer, excepting a few tiles as killers jack, you can mindgame almost every tile, you dont even need to break pallet most of the times if you bloodlust the chase. I really prefer survivors running info perks like WoO instead of any repairing speed perk, or second chance perks.
To sum it up, there are far more unhealthier perks than WoO, but this is coming from someone who doesnt sweat at any time, if I loose I really dont care, but I saw people in here waining about gen-taping so what do I know.

Each meta on is own is probably the healthiest it has ever been. But both metas at the same time leads to tunneling being the go-to strategy for many killers. That isn't great. It's not particularly fun to play against a hard tunneling killer and with the current meta it is more effective than ever.
WoO makes the game incredibly boring and you immediately see who has it too. They don't look behind, have perfect pathing and will not even try to loop because they have enough resources to maintain distance until the game is over. Worse yet, it's the sole reason why Blindness is a complete game changer at the moment. You see the immediate effect once WoO deactivates. This perk is downright unhealthy as it is because more often than not, the ones who use it absolutely cannot play without it. So not only does it not help with learning maps, it does the opposite. Why would you ever learn maps when you have a manual to tell you what to do?
So its illegal to use resources from maps now? The only point of using WoO is extending chases, so now extending chases is bad, healing perks are also bad, perks for repairing gens are also bad. Whats the point of playing survivor in a killer head if they cannot do anything? Even repairing gens is also seen as gen-rush, literally the only objective for survivors, and there is always something to complain on the killer side, how many times have you played soloq? is horrendous, between the lack on information between teammates, the tunnelling brainless and slowdown meta, you are lucky you still have survivors to go against in your game, its really depressing the current state of the game.
-
Dont buff ruin, its good in its current state, on the other hand, buffing DS would stop a bit the current tunnelling problem.
-
I cant believe this damn survivor tapping my gens! Is this post for real?
-
Just get good man, face the wall when you pick up a survivor or if its in the open just be more strategic picking the moment for the pick up. Someone with flashlight is someone whos not being efficient at doing gens, so thats a win for the killer. We cant complain about every little freakin thing thats in the game, I swear in this forum there is a post about each little thing of the game thats annoying someone.
-
Every match I play against her there is always someone who just kill themselves on hook, most likely me, it feels so unfair to play against her, no mindgames, no fun, nothing, just brainless playstyle.
-
Its still useful, its not OP as it was in the past, but its useful. Why all the perks need to be OP in order to work? Have you seen DH? you need to time that perfectly in order to make it work, most of the time its just a missed slot. We need to stop complaining about this somehow balanced perks and start asking for buffs for the other 80%~ perks slots which now are mostly useless and no one seems to use, both for survis and killers. We have like 250 perks and everyone runs the same 10-15, because how useless the other rest are.
-
I love how some people say Buckle up + Ftp meta, brother in 50 matches, I can say I saw that combo twice as a killer. Just because you got that at one or two matches doesnt mean its a META. god. You need to waste TWO slots in order for this to work, but not only that BUT ALSO being following your teammate which means at least two people not doing gens, its a lot of inneficiency. And being totally unbias on any side, we killer have the combo pain res + pop META which destroys literally more than 50%(~) of the gen progress, so instead of doing 5 gens, survis most of the time needs to do at least 7 gens in overall.
-
Ok buddy
-
Dont you think it would be a bit overtunned all of that just for 4 hooks? I like the direction of demotivating tunneling but why the aura revealing? blocking all gens for 1 minute is already enough, instead of the aura reading, i think it would be nice to get a second stage where it does the same but for when you get all survis with 2 hooks.

Deja vu is amazing, im running SB, WoO, Resilience and Deja Vu lately, and so far so good, works like a charm even in solo q

Kicking a gen is free, especially since the range is so far, i assure you that Nowhere to hide is far better as a tracking perk than UW is.
Not only shows you where everyone is inside your terror radius, but also give them blindness, how that is worse than every other aura perk, more knowing than WoO is the most used perk by survivors...

How about this.
I am defending it, because i don't use it, because it is a terrible perk. Any of the aura tracking perks are far FAR better at doing what you want them to do.
- Lethal
- BBQ
- Nowhere to Hide
- Floods of Rage
All of these are far better perks, Lethal gets you into a chase immediately and is great when paired with some other aura reading (like the other perks above). BBQ shows you where to go next right after a hook saving you valuable time. Nowhere to hide shows you if someone is hiding nearby, simply by kicking a gen with nothing else required and when combined with Lethal lasts a really long time, usually enough to help in an early loop. Floods of rage is the best when chasing, because it can often help you win a chase by giving you free wall hacks for several seconds.
What does UW? It has a massively long cooldown of 60 seconds (yes 60 seconds not 30) because you use it, then in order for the 30 second cooldown to start ticking, it needs to wait out the duration of 30 seconds. Meaning you can use it once a minute. On top of that it only makes the survivor scream. It doesn't show their full aura. So many times i can use it, and end up not actually starting a chase with the survivor you found.
You know what perk is a much better tracking perk than UW? Thrilling Tremors. It has the same cooldown, and gives you the same information BBQ does, and on top that actually blocks some gens from getting rushed, preventing a survivor from working on the nearby gen as you pick up the survivor.
What does UW get you? At the beginning of the match it is worse than Lethal, in the middle of the match it is worse than every aura reading perk because it doesn't show exact location, and it has a long cooldown. The only real thing it does is give easy blindness. Which, i'll agree is annoying in solo queue, but i generally think blindness as a mechanic needs to be completely reworked.
Brother you are mentioning perks that all have a requirement, UW is literally FREE, the power of knowing where all survivors are almost all the time is stronger than any of those aura perks by itself, not even mentioning it denyes enterely things like door openings in a 1v1 scenario, but also, in your head every blight, nurse or wesker its just using this perk because how bad it is? c mon.
-
Its just simply not fair, and killers defending it are the equivalent to survivors defending MFT. Its that simple. As the comment above mentions, it should require you make something to earn it, not holding W to a locker and pressing space. The downside of making it hook-activated is that it would work as an improved BBQ, so what d the point of using BBQ, but again, having now a perk that can replace a whole bunch of tracking perks doesnt seem fair either.
-
i think it would be nice that no mither gave you a bazooka and you can insta down the killer for 15 minutes. and as for the clown, just give him acid to melt survis, two bottles and you are dead. you are welcome
-
as everyone says in here, get good
-
The dont know what balance means, they just knows butchering, im sorry but it is what is. There are I dont know how many useless perks that they could buff but no, they only focus on the ten more used and thats it, its so frustrating that we are in a point where we are scared of the patch notes because you know they are destroying more things that fixing them, and lets not forget how solo q is always in the bottom of the list of priorities, there is nothing worse than playing alone this game as survivor

Yeah, Garden of Cringe, Borgo and Badham are likely the top 3 problematic maps at the moment.
With Lery's and Midwich being close behind.
Whats wrong with Lery's? Midwich is amazing visually.
