  • I just want to know why she deserves to have a basekit that completely denies so much killers. Why should we play anything besides krasue?

Almost no hit cooldowns, insta catch up, anti loop, fast mobility, in built coup de grace, bigger/better 3rd person FOV than chucky. Removing infection makes no sense while in chase, but in the meantime we have unknown that actually need skill expression to hit both times the uvx or whatever its called, allowing both killer and survivor to actually do something to deny the other part. With krasue this doesnt exist, she has almost no cooldown for his infection, and besides, she can just m1 you after infecting you.

Survivors are always in a loose-loose situation, the best you can do is running to a corner to make her take longer time to hook you and cross finger that your team do something with those extra seconds.

I really really really wish a dev answer this, because im really struggling to keep playing this game for having the slightly chance to encounter another krasue. So far I have played more than 20 games against her, and if I escaped one or two times i think im exaggerating .

In what world this killer sounded like a good idea? How is this fair for survivors?

Please Mandy or Ryan, no generic answers, we need transparency and honesty.

  • Something I dont see anyone mentioning is the fatigue this kind of things does to the community.

People are really tired of the constant unnecesary nerfs to perks to "good" perks, buffs to ultra "meh" perks and overtuned buffs and changes for the killer side. Is so hard to have a normal match nowadays, there is always someone throwing, in the way they can, just to go next. Even the "go next" prevention was such a huge L, a small patch that fixed a synthom, but not the problem.

They will lead to "fake" numbers in charts or excel sheets that will make us get more nerfs or buffs no one needs or wants, only based on a false stadistics.

I cannot understand under any circumstance how on earth a dev working 10 or more years in a project, release such an balanced killer, honestly its so hard to believe.

Despite all the unbalanced numbers, cooldowns, even the lunge being so generous, the 3rd person fov feels worse than cheating. Horrible design. Its such a pain that the art department always exceeds the expectations designing and modelling such cool concepts and characters, only to be thrown under a bus by the gameplay department.

  • Played about 8 matches today against her. I feel completely miserable. Didnt escape not even once. Didnt last more than a few seconds in chase, same with all my teammates. Every match I had at least a one dc.

This is a ghoul 2.0, and she might be hated even more than ghoul in a few days/weeks.

  • one would think, after 10 years of game development, more if you count pre production, and early stages, let say 13 to 14 years of being working on a project, devs would have learn how to balance a killer, YET here we are, we hitted a new low of feeling miserable playing survivor.

  • Can we talk about how busted his FOV is? It gives survivors no counterplay, no mindgames in loops, she can see everything. I feel like thats where she should be nerfed the most, should be at least kinda like chucky fov if not less fov as she has much more on his kit than chucky. Despite how unpunishing everything seems on her, she has almost no cooldown, she is mega fast, can vault pallets, are you kidding me?

She really seems to be a character meant to be played in a single player game.

m1 killers arent much better with the amount of pallets maps got now. (ig BHVR invested in home depot…)

yeah im not saying the opposite, there is no middle ground for bhvr, either they go to one extreme or to the other, never the sweet spot.

  • man, this game is so deppresing from the survivor side, having a lot of people dcing in matches lately, now we get this patch with so many nerf no one asked, and useless buffs for omega meh perks, and a ghoul 2.0 with so little counterplay from the surv side.

  • Yeah, this is not even close of addresing some of the frustrations survs have with ghoul

  • oh boy, a lot of changes. looking forward to this next ptb!

  • Legion is my main issue with this mode, its so obnoxious. i dont want to play a mending simulator, remove legion or make an small rotatable roster of killers for each iteration, do we really need the whole 40 ish killers in this mode, if everyones is only using huntress and legion? I havent seen a single ghostface or trapper this time.

Link to video? I’m interested to learn how they know what version of EAC that is being used for this game.

    ardetha on yt, lattest vid

  • yeah this looks very cool!

Wesker is balanced. Ghoul is not.

    This.

  • Its one of those killer against you can almost never win any match as soloQ, at least thats my case, I can maybe last a chase for a gen or two, but except for the his fly, he feels ok, I like the feature of getting random items from his chests, thats cute.

He could use some nerf on the fly, that one seems a bit overtuned. But wouldnt put him high on a priority list, at least not before ghoul or current clown, those are way way way worse.

  • While I agree some of these are good ideas, they are pretty hard to implement in a game where blight and nurse coexist with trapper and myers for example. To make this work you need to first nerf the toptier killers, and maybe buff some lower tier ones, to make all killers be a similar spot. If not nurse will be much more oppresive than she already is, blight the same, even spirit. Imagine in low mmr. Not viable at all.

I dont think you can buff killers with these kind of basekit features in the state the game is right now.

  • remote hook and remote pallet breaking were the worse part of last anniversary event. Every perk or feature that removes survivor-killer interaction is unhealthy for the game. Why do you think lattest clown iteration is considered terribly unhealthy? There is almost nothing you can do to avoid getting hit by clown, terrible design. Same with FtP+buckle up, or that new perk, conviction i think? + soulguard, terrible terrible design. should be avoided at all cost.

  • I think this tweet represents pretty good everyone reaction to playing against ghouls

    https://x.com/daniBlizz/status/1956131840529461491

  • between clown, kaneki and every killer turbotunnelling im this close to unnistall the game

  • In my case Kaneki is killing my game experience, I cant enjoy the game anymore. I can play 10 matches without winning any but having a mid or high level of fun, and then the 11th match is against a kaneki/ghoul, and the whole experience is f*cked, my mood completely changes, I dont want to keep playing just for the sake of having the chance of facing another ghoul. So whenever I can DC without getting penalty against him i just do it. And I guess other people have similar issues, getting constant nerfs or changes NOBODY asked for are another reason.

Also, not something minor, but I think the go next prevention was a huge L. Matches you know are lost from the first minute, feels like a total drag, so being on a hook for i dont know how many minutes, without the chance of doing anything feels horrible, totally kills the experience. So If you had a match where no one went to rescue you, or you were slugged 4 min on the ground, then the next match, if you are starting to have a similar experience then ofc you will just altf4 or dc. There are more chances of feeling the match you are playing is a total waste of time than not.

  • I lost all hope in survivors getting a decent item updates, its always a nerf, or changes nobody asked for. Its so depressing man.

My two take aways from the video/watching Otz use the perk on his stream are:

    1. It should not proc itself. It MUST only be from healing other survivors.
    2. The max recovery should be upped slightly just so Killers aren't punished by an anti-slugging perk for… Not slugging. Either that or make it so recovery speed is set to normal when conviction is active and returned to normal when deactive.

Those are just my passing thoughts though.

I think the perk shouldnt work on endgame either. I dont know, it seems cheap, a free scape paired with soulguard.

  • @AdamZ said:

    Well maybe bc:

U cant see 1m in front of u

    Cant see scratch marks

    Cant see auras

    Cant hear anything

All this while survivors still has other tools to make it even more busted for example:

They can use sprint burst and any other exhaustion perk to run away/annoy u like head on etc.

brother thats the whole point of a smoke bomb, its like saying "uh i dont like medkits because a survivor can heal himself using it"

I could see some nerfs happening that wouldnt butcher the item, like adding a few charges, instead of infinity uses, but thats it and maybe reducing the radius, I mean the event smoke granade had a smaller radius and worked fine sometimes (which is not bad either, i dont think items should be impolute and work perfectly 100% of the times). Also If you make it more transparent it totally looses the point of a smoke bomb, and becomes one more useless item in the roster, why do you think they reworked maps and keys? We dont need any more useless stuff in the game, there is plenty already

  • sorry for being that guy, but based on the models they dont look very similar to me. Skull structure is different, sable has a stronger jaw than tryks, lips shape is different between the two. Nose is a bit smoother on Tryks and also his nose bridge seems to be a bit offseted, like crooked? if that makes sense, which would be nice to know lorewise the reason for this? is that something made on purpouse, or its just a happy accident?

Tryks looks younger as well, unless they are the same person in different timelines? Or, as the meme says, maybe sable is a gen-z aging like milk, and shes younger than tryks. I dunno.

Also Im not sure if its fair to say they both share the same body type, as this was probably recycled to cut times in production. Does makes sense to sculpt a new body type just for an npc?

Dont get me wrong, I want to believe, and i think it would give the lore a cool twist, but unless this is confirmed by devs, i cant believe it yet.

  • I hope devs at least would give us a useful guide to counterplay the rocktet boy clown. They buffed and made him braindead to just sit and wait that survivors have any chance to play against him, at LEAST give us a guide or tell us how to play against a dude with a rocket in his *ss. There is no mindgame, or anything remotelly useful against clown now, other than use BNP and gen rush the hell out every gen to get out asap of that match.

If you had any doubt that devs dont test things before it comes out, this patch made us confirm 100% this.

  • I prefer we go back to the times where Ghoul didnt exist if thats a possibility

  • I, very much agree with the idea of nuking him.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Survivors can make progress in their game when the killer is not. Someone is chased, you can do gens. When he is patrolling near sides you are not, you can do gens.

The Ghoul completely prevents that, like any other TP / dash killers, because he can quickly go from a gen to another. Which is not that annoying during the first minutes, but as gens are being done, he has less and less places to cover. Until the moment you cannot do any gen if he is not in chase.

That is his strongest ability and, in a time when everyone is already mad at Blight and Nurse, that is just putting oil over fire.

I agree, not even mentioning the basekit slowdown of leaving survivors with deep wounds, so he also has the worst part of legion.

  • I truly hate him, i despise play against ghoul, feels so unfair, you are always in a constant loose-loose situation. Old SM felt like ######### to play against her, but at least you could loop her, with ghoul nothing seems to work, not even stunning him, next second you have it on top of you. And what I also hate is how much time he can hold his power and the distance from he can hit you, thats actually insane i dont know if that can be increased with addons or not, but doesn help to how much i hate him.

What i dont understand is why do you have similar things in other killers, but somehow you make this one benefit and have a lot less punishment for missing anything, or even vaulting a window or a pallet, he can almost instantly hit you, while wesker gives you some room to at least try to mindgame, give more space for 50/50 gameplay, same as Blight, hes super strong, but looping a blight even when he downs you, at least feels a lot more satisfying than playing against ghoul in any scenario.

I don't even necessarily think the perk is OP it just feels very dumb that the killer can ever be in a position where the survivor has free perma wallhacks because the killer also brings aura reading

There shouldn't be a survivor perk that makes the game free because the killer had aura reading

    It's not well designed

Yeah there are some scenarios where it would feel as pain in the ass, like if you are facing a swf, someone has it and can make some calls to others, but again, its just aura and tbh how many times you faced OoO? And if you do, how many players of that team had it? One?

Again, you can go as surv and bring the most busted aura build to see the killer everytime, and then you go against an stealth killer and your build will not work 90% of the match, so? Builds are not made to work 100% of your matches, and thats the healthiest for the game

  • @adam1233467 said:

This is only for obsession and its aura kills you more than help you, complaining about current object is a ragebait.

Agree, Also how many players runs OoO? I dont remember the last time i saw someone running it. Its #87 on the perk usage list on nightlight with 0.90% pick rate and 32% escape rate. So even if these are not accurate data acording to devs, I dont think anyone see this perk as a problem as the old OoO was…

Every perk as some kind of counter in the game, by its own rules or by using a perk on the other side. You cannot expect go to a match where your build works 100% of the matches, otherwise it would be what we all know as OP.

  • 100% agree. This only looks like those scenarios where you give little to no time to map design team to build something cooler and original, so they had to create something with a few new assets, but with a lot of what was already in the library. Characters looks cool tho.

  • I just hope we dont get a thalita and renatto kind of perks but more of a nic cage kind of, strong balanced meme perks. You can bring pope francis as a survivor if you want, but give us some strong USEFUL and balanced perks.

  • What i dont understand from a dev pov is why would you choose to make longer and longer penalties, why no put a cap of 15 min, something more human, something that doesnt make the player wanting to stop playing the game, you know having more players means more people willing to spend money at some point, as the OP mentioned not everyone has a decent internet, not even not every country has it, why would you punish people so bad? Even if they ragequit, why would you punish someone with hours of dcpenalty? I dont understand a lot of ideas and changes devs are implementing, in the willingness of "fixing" stuff they are breaking it even more.

  • I swear to god this game has only 4 or 5 maps, not even variations, i only get the same 4 or 5 maps everytime.
Not to mention that im getting ghouls in like 70/80% of my matches, the killer i despice and hate the most.
Its getting harder and harder to find the mood to play this game.

  • Same! This and Toba, and D&D map is horrible, it feels really small with lot of dead areas

  • hi, surv main here. coming from the future, after Day 2137. You would think devs hit rock bottom with ghoul but no, they released bubbles from powerpuff girls and at this point, May 6th of 2031 they have lost a 75% of playerbase, she ended up being the most unfun, corrupt, racist and unbalanced killer they added to the game.

If you are lucky you will get a 19hours queue as killer, and 10 hours as survivor. Me? playing skyrim from a cabbage, hopefully i can play in 2 hours.

  • While I understand your point, as a lot of people started pointing out with this patch, I feel like, giving the match a second chance even when you have a dead teammate at 4 gens, has somehow kinda showed its not entirely lost, at least not everytime. I have been in that situation most of my matches the last few days and keeping the match going, trying to finish the next gens is still possible if the team decides to be on the same page. A lot of times I ended up loosing in these scenarios but reaching endgame or at 1 gen, still loosing, but at least psycological doesnt feel like a "lost match", at leas I give it a shot and try to have a few fun chases, or some macro gameplay to try to make it work.

Being that said, I totally agree that is really demotivating being in that scenario, and its really easy to loose all interest in continue playing, so I cant say i havent been in that situation and tried to force the killer to kill me to just go next. Now everytime i get hooked i just alt+tab and do something else til i hear someones unhook me.

This patch has shown how unfun most of survs scenarios are, like doing gens, you sit there, you do nothing but hit space once in a while, which is the main objective of survivors, and now you get hooked and you sit there without being able of doing everything, like a tree, for the 70 secs(i think?) of each hook state, its really boring man. I dont know the solution to this, maybe there isnt one, but at least before if you were in the scenario of not being rescued, you could try to 4% and scape in some cases.

Beint that said 2.0, I still think the game needs something to motivate survivors to keep playing the game after loosing someone at 4,5 gens, like an extra % speed for repairing gens, like "propnight" did in his gameplay, you could even win a game in a 1v1 scenario and that was really fun. And on the killer side im not sure, maybe a % extra basekit speed for each 1st hook on someone, to also demotivate tunelling. I dont know, just thinking out loud. The point is, even when its not impossible to scape on a 3v1 at 5 gens, its almost impossible, I understand the frustration of a survivor that doesnt want to keep playing in that scenario, why should he/she waste 5-10 more min on something you already know the outcome?

    Happy monday

  • I will never forgive devs for what they took from us

  • Oh I though this was happening to me beause of my internet, or something like that? It sucks, most of the times happens very randomly, or in matches where team is doing well or near opening gates, it hardly happens when team is underperforming, maybe its just a coincidence, but weird. Anyways, im always crossing fingers because getting DC punish is also random, sometimes it happens sometimes it doesnt, not sure also why. So annoying.

Im getting this errors at least once or twice a week.

  • I totally despise playing against him, I truly hate him. I came back to play after a 2 weeks break because of Kaneki and sweat lords killers slugging and tunelling for the 4k, and I thought that break would somehow lower my mmr or something to have more chill matches, but here i am, slugged on the ground, trying to play a normal event match 😃🔫

  • @Zakon05 said:

This game is my favorite competitive game of all time. I have over 4000 hours in it. I have multiple p100 killers and I am working on getting my first p100 survivor, and I have all achievements and completed all the tomes. I enjoyed the game through old Circle of Healing, Made For This, and Overbrine Eruption. I like playing against most of the cast, and the ones I don't like playing against I don't hate.

I hate playing against Kaneki. I hate playing against him a lot. One match against him tends to put me in an absolutely foul mood that lingers even if I immediately get off the game and do something else.

It's not the fact he's anime, in fact I bought several volumes of his manga to learn about him before he came out. It's not his free hits. It's the fact he has basically old Chucky scamper on top of the ability to dash ahead or on top of you and cancel power and down you because he moves almost exactly at survivor speed during it.

You have to be next to something you can loop him at at all times or you die. And a lot of Kaneki players realize that they're in a win/win situation on maps which don't have great pallet density, so they don't need to mindgame at loops. If they just walk through the pallet, they win. Either you drop it, they break it, then they catch up to you and kill you after creating a deadzone. Or you greed it and they down you.

You feel like you're in a constant lose/lose situation against this killer, and he is stupidly easy to pick up and play unlike other S-tiers. Other S-tiers also don't have a bunch of people saying they're not S-tier or trying to downplay their strength.

And it's even more psychologically needling if she's using the Rize skin, because she's giggling smugly at you while you're in a situation knowing you cannot possibly stall her for more than a couple of seconds unless you have a ridiculously survivor-sided map.

    This.

  • Hes super annoying and while I dont do it, I really understand survivors instantly giving up against him, its 100% the same feeling as old SM.

  • @KolbyKolbyKolby said:

Nemesis is a pretty capable killer without his zombies even in play. No other killer can effectively ignore pallets pretty quickly into a match and also have 2 units in the map that pressure survivors off generators at no cost to the killer. Unless his win rate is massively struggling, any buffs to zombies would have to include nerfs for the killer itself so I don't know that it would be worth asking for.

I agree. My only note here is I dont understand why zombies dont loose collition once they hit you, is that a bug? If thats intended, why? they can lock you in a spot and hit your 3 times without any counterplay.

  • Im not sure, but I swear this time, I scaped like 70-80% of my matches as solo q in 2v8. I found it very enjoyable this time. It might be because of playing most times on mid day, like 4-5pm instead of late night like 9-10pm where the sweatlords play

  • I like the idea of having some killers with basekit stuff, it would make the game feels a bit more strategic. For example put the killers in different categories despite having the classes. As you mentioned the trapper could go in one with basekit corrupt intervention on some gens, others could have basekit pain resonance on first hooks as regular mode. I dont know , add things like that to spice things up a bit more. Not sure what could be done for survivors tho, this time felt a bit repetitive, the new herbs didnt impact that much on the gameplay and most of the times you cant even use them because you are healthy or without hooks. So maybe new classes for survis could do the trick, some class that gives you distortion maybe? rat class lmao

  • Feels like ######### to play against a bad killer, that got rewarded some how with 3 or 4k just because of noed. I never understood the logic of this design, rewarding you for bad gameplay, you lost your objetctive of defending the gens, or not killing the survivors before they finish repairing the gens, but hey, doesnt matter! here you got a cookie that can make you still win the match, even if you are a tutorial level killer ;D
