4k is serious because literally every aspect of this game ask for 4k to qualify, fix that first
There is nothing fair about hatches when killer managed to almost win a game but robbed it away by pure RNG, there is no QOL or enjoyment for killer in this change
Also, if you can wait 2 minutes there is no reason you can't wait for another 2 minutes
Hatch is fine, its just RNG as you mention, im sorry that your ego gets destroyed for doing a 3k instead of a 4k, buts rng also gives killers 2 doors right next to each other sometimes, and that also sucks for a survivor when the hatch is already closed. So… On every scenario killer has the advantage, I promise you buddy you are no better nor worse for doing 3k instead of a 4k.
-
Love how the same stuff on the other side would make every killer main cry like you were using hacks. But well, wrong place to put your survivor problems man, this place is more killer sided than the game itself.
-
As a survivor I love it, as a killer I just hate when I get this map. As people above mentioned, lot of god pallets, lot of good loops one next to each other, few strong buildings. Hope it gets improved soon in the near future.
-
Too much RNG dependant, its not survivor or killer sided, its RNG sided. You can get something with miles of deadzones where killers can have a feast, or ten thousand pallets one next to the other and its a survivor playground. There are a few rng map dependants but this one feels as one of the worst, I hope it gets improved sometime in the near future, but I have my expectations very low, on the basement next to the hooks.

After a match has reached 15 minutes, Survivors positions will be revealed briefly every so often. The frequency scales with how many are left.
4 Survivors = 3 minutes
3 Survivors = 2.5 minutes
2 Survivors = 2 minutes
Survivors also receive a repair speed bonus. Once again, this scales with how many are left.
4 Survivors = 10%
3 Survivors = 15%
2 Survivors = 25%
In addition, when only 2 Survivors remain they can pick themselves up without the help of another Survivor.
This way the killer cant just patrol a tight 3 gen (even with the current system, it can still be difficult to break through) and Survivors are more than likely not going to stick around for a 10% speed boost.
Same goes for the 3 Survivors remaining, how ever the speed boost is still not significant enough to stealth just to get it, and they get revealed every so often.
When 2 Survivors are remaining and there are still gens left the game can feel hopeless, especially if the killer slugs to get the 4k. This way the killer cant slug, but is incentivized to take chase as they get information on the current whereabouts of Survivors. This also acts to incentivize Survivors to do gens instead of hiding, because they cant.
Once 1 Survivor remains, the game stays as normal. Endgame perks are deactivated but ONLY if they close the hatch. Meaning itll still work outside of a 1v1 scenario.
Of course the numbers could be tweaked, but let me know what you think
Yo! This is what i always thought as a possible solution even for tunelling. To make it more strategic and not a braindead solution for killers who just want the easy way, you buff the remaining survivors, like Propnight used to do. In that way even if you are alone you can still manage to repair gens. The game stop feeling so stale if you loose a teammate at 5 gens and with the repairing buffs you still have a chance to make it.

But this was clear in the PTB, wasn't it? Like, people on the PTB were gen-dribbling to do this stuff, right?
Why did it go live as is?
a Lot of stuff were complained in the PTB and went live anyways, whats the surprise?

If you lose the infection on hook then the First-Aid Sprays should be nerfed to single-use.
Could you give a bit of context for your request buddy? Because it doesnt make that much sense and wouldnt help anyone. Would make the killer more unhealthier and playing against him would be miserable, hes in a good spot, hes strong but counterable at the same time maybe one of the few well balanced killers in the game. BUT He does have this little mechanic I mentioned in the post, that encourage tunelling with little to no skill, which can be fixed super easy.
-
I dont even remember the last time I went against Twins. Tho in the last few months I ve been maining them and they are fun, but feels so, and i mean so cluncky that its a pain in the ass hooking someone, it feels really painful the back and forth between victor and charlotte, it takes you as much time as bubbas stun, so the game punish you for using your power. Really good job so far for the twins!
-
You are talking about the same company that after what, 3 or 4 years of blight with the whole community asking nerfs for him, they literally BUFFED HIM. what did you expect? a proper and balanced rework? close but no my friend
-
Can anyone please tell me how to counter billy now? it seems impossible to loop him, his power has 0 cooldown, or at least thats what it seems, I cant do sh*t even throwing pallets, or juking him, because in the next second he has his chainsaw again. Why BHVR never seems to hit the correct spot? It always has to be waaay too Overtuned, or absolute dogsh*t, never the correct one so everyone is happy.
-
You can look for AgustinaUnaplay8 on twitch or youtube, this guy has the rule of no camping or tunelling and he wins most of his matches, some of them against really strong teams/swf. Camping or tunelling is not necessary if you know how to manage the time, chases and gens.
But also, if you expect to win every game you play, then you need to lower your expectations, because if killers could win every match then who would play as survivor? It would be more miserable than, which is something to say the least.
If we take the Killer-Survivor ratio that BHVR published, which is on 60-40% on killers favour, then if you win 6 out of 10 matches you are doing more than fine. Loosing is not bad, I dont understand why every killer sweats their asses off to win just one match, you wont get any money for wining, in fact you are playing just a videogame, and not even a good one. And before anyone says "survis tunnels gen" then tell this devs to add a second objective, this is the only thing they can do to make the match progress.

Try playing as an m1 killer vs a team running exhaustion perks, windows and are on comms
you get that every game? Because Im pretty sure you dont. SoloQ gets the same in every game. Of course from time to time you get a baby killer, which is also something that doesnt feel rewarding, wining against someone below your level btw. Its not the same bro, you can still win as a killer against what you are talking about, try wining again a 5gen tuneler and camper playing solo. You cant.
-
Also, another problem I see with the tunneling gameplay style is that it makes you think you are good at the game, then you get one match where you think you choosed the "weak link" and in reality its the best survivor and you get stomped, and then you come here and make a post about how unfair killer gameplay is, you ask for survivor nerfs, and bla bla. Tunnelling doesnt make you better at the game, its just an illusion, it just make more miserable other people games. Picking always the easiest way to get an small dose of dopamine just because you killed a 4 survis solo q team, wont make you a better player.
And Im only refering to killer that tunnels at 5 gens, like robots, npcs, of course strategic tunelling is a valid strategy. But tunelling at 5 gens is not strategic, its just bully, and sorry but bullies just deserve the worst.
-
This wont change unless BHVR acknowledge that killer games should be more about hooks and not kills. If the game gives you 30-40k BP for tunnelling and doing 4-5 hooks and gives you 15-25k BP for doing 12hooks, then of course killers will choose the easy way, because the game rewards you for doing that. But its not the same for survivors, survivors that only do gens, sneak the killer, and almost dont do altruistic actions, but they do escape, then you will get 10-18k BP tops and maybe 1 pip.
So the game its unbalanced from the get go. This even happens with tomes, survivor challenges can throw a game, but for killer its the opposite, the objective is always do something that is already an objective in a common game. So this also incentives horrible teammates
-
Skill issue bra! lol JK, but its funny how not even one dev comes to give one glimpse of hope in any of these threads talking about how miserable soloq is right? interesting, i mean its no surprise, but still, interesting.
-
If you want some chill time play killer, its the most easiest thing right now, soloQ and survivor overall is a pain, horrible experience which no dev want to hear or try to fix, so play killer, tunnel, camp, make other lives miserable, its pretty easy.
-
Laughable ? Im glad you can laugh at this, in my case is nothing but suffer man, horrible match after horrible match, Its impossible to play survivor in solo Q, I just had 4 blights in a row, each one of them with the same freakin build, tunelling the first survivor out of the match at 5 gens. I just cant do noting but wish them the worst. I ve been afk for the last 6 matches so i get killed quickly and decrease my mmr, or at least I hope so, how come having fun in this game is the most difficult challenge?
-
Buff the repair speed to 12-15% and we can start talking, there is too much risk of snowballling an entire match just because of someone trying to get value out of this awful perk. Its just a bad idea of a perk from the beggining, you shouldnt run the killer near a gen thats being repaired. Most of the times your teammates will curse you for doing that, even if you are giving them that little to nothing repair buff. Absolutely not worth the risk, even less in soloQ. I can only hope for this perk never comes in play in one of my matches.
-
BHVR actions just scream "DONT PLAY OUR GAME" so I will listen to them. Never felt worse playing a game, it just feels hopeless, the lack of touch and empathy for their community. This game is not worth it.
-
I ve never saw devs more disconnected from their game community in my life, doing blind eyes for everything the community asks for, and just killing the little small things that are actually fun at the game.
-
This is really sad, this game will die not because its competitors but for its devs.
-
Nope, horrible perks.
-
I just hope we see the day someone finds a breaking game bug with skull merchant so they have to killswitch her as they did with knight. But its a gamebreaking bug so bad they cant literally fix her and cant put her back on the roster.
-
I can just magine a world without SkullMerchant

No. Killers need to be encouraged to go for chases by being rewarded for it. I can think of three simple changes to make the game way more healthier to play for both roles by doing just that.
- Killers get global gen about 33% (amount subject to change) regression on a first and final hook state of a Survivor. This would encourage going for different people and getting rewarded for it is a much better incentive than being punished for the alternative.
- All Totems in a trial are Dull until the criteria for activating a Hex is in play. Meaning if Ruin is used, the Hex is only assigned to a Dull Totem when a Survivors repair is interrupted and it begins regressing passively. This would encourage Survivors to look for Totems before a potential Hex is revealed. Giving the Survivors a secondary objective instead of just making repairs take longer.
- Killers now have 5 perks instead of 4. Going against 16 perks while you use 4 has always baffled me. It's asymmetric, there is zero logic behind them sharing the same inventory style.
And then as a bonus fourth spitball:
- SWF repair, cleansing/blessing and heal action speed is decreased by 25% (amount subject to change). To help bring them closer to solo queue efficiency without constantly giving Survivors free hand hold mechanics that make it harder and harder for Killer to actually win.
Those ideas would change how everyone plays DBD enough so that it would be both impactful and healthy.
Correct me if im wrong, but in the first point you are saying free pain res/pop for killers for the first and third hook? That would make survivor experience already more miserable than what already is, specially soloq. The problem is that until they nerf the top killers such as nurse and blight and maybe one or two more, its really hard to balance anything, because those killers that are already a pain in the ass against almost every team, would be insufferable and most people will dc against them.
-
I agree with everything said so far but my only concern here is whatever the solution is, what happens if I as a killer go to the just unhooked survivor area and I dont see anyone but a trail of blood leading me to the just unhooked survivor? Because that happens all the time, not so cool fullheal teammates hiding and leaving the already hurt survivor there all alone. It would be unfair for the killer to waste all that time of leaving that survivor for not tunelling but not finding anyone else. Whats the solution in that case? Pretending im blind and leaving that survivor and go to the other side of the maps while at the same time 2 gens are popping? Honest question.
-
Im maining Twins for a few months and almost never have a DC, except for the people that dont want to be slugged, but lets be honest, the mechanic is good on paper, but gameplay wise its really clunky and its really punishing to be using my own power, too much between back and forth, so snowballing with the little gremling its the only way
-
As far as i can see this whole post its just about EGO, be more humble my friend, imagine every killer player in the game had your supposed killrate of 90% win games, the game would be a disaster, no one would ever want to play as survivor, so you wouldnt play other than bot games, is that what you want? There are two sides in the game, both sides should have fun at some point, you cant put on argue the mmr system is trash because the game is choosing you harder survivor teams, its doing that because of your killrate, Im not saying this is the case but thats why tunelling and camping all the time is only a viable strat when you are playing in low tier mmr and most of the times it works because most times are uncoordinated solo qs, but the problem with that is that makes you feel that you are good at the game (when you are not), so when you get a real deal in high mmr you will get stomped, because you dont know other than tunelling or camping, you lost track of the macro game and other strategies. so it will take some time and some lost matches, but in the end you will end up wining some more.
-
Brother this is the worst place to put a survivor complain, everyone plays only killer and think thats the only struggling side of the game.
-
nice

nice

nice
-
Oh so it all makes sense now, I have been seeing at least one or two people with boil over in most of my matches, and also noticed there were less hooks in most maps, so frustrating! Luckily Im maining twins so slugging them is really easy tho
-
I dont know if its the subsurface scattering or something like this, but how come this nea looks way better than the core one? Even skin texture looks more realistic.
I hope they bring this skin to core, nea main here!
-
What about hag? shes by far one of the worst campers in the game. Even when you can just erase her traps is impossible to do it when shes lurking the hooked person all the time
-
Well, technically, a 500 hours killer mains can destroy a 1k or 2k survivor main, in most cases. Is much easier to being good at the game as a killer than as a survivor, just for the assymetrycal nature of the game. So even if it was a newer player than you, 1) your team wasnt efficient enough and 2) it is what it is, sometimes you win, sometimes you loose, just hit Continue, and move on. Its not worth to put that many space of your mind focused on just one garbage match.
-
Never found this pallet on my matches, but Im not surprised, its an outdated map in terms of gameplay, it has lot of things to improve/fix. Right now I feel this map its more nostalgia of a good era, than any other thing, but despite everything, most of the times feels more killer sided as every other indoor map so a few good pallets kinda balances a lot of other things maybe? I dont know its kinda late and I still havent drank my tea.
-
Its just horrible
-
I would give her more range to teleport without needing to use his addons, it should be same as slinger, huntress and trickster as everyone used addons or perks to reload faster. She should have the same treatment.
On the other hand I would make her unable to put traps near someone hooked, same as twins cant use their switching power near a range of a hooked person, same should be applied to her. I used to main her for 2 years, and no matter how many gens were done, once I hooked someone, the real gameplay started, using just a few traps near the hooks I could proxy camp and make survis trade all the time, It was super boring I admit it, but in that way I did a 63 wining streak. It should be more incentives to go out there and play the game instead of camping being the only good strategy for her. Such a nice concept of a killer, lore and gameplay wise, but its been kept in the bottom of the prioritiy list of BHVR for so long.

Unfortunately, they already tried out that prototype and decided that it made the game extremely unfun. BUT, with that said in all fairness the anti-camp mechanic was also a part of a similar prototype design a long while ago that had the same exact issues, but now recently being brought into the game should've easily added in a corrupt basekit mechanic given to having to deal with the anti-camp mechanic being extremely unfun for killers atm. Right now, as a territorial killer it is straight up miserable to deal with this anti camp design and seems to be a result of 1k balance for said killers. At the highest level 3 gens get done first chase regardless forcing the killer into a camp tunnel playstyle the rest of the trial, same as also having a fast first chase BUT as you go for your 2nd scourge hook and then that player who was hooked before body blocks you with off the record removing all of your momentum. For the sake of fairness, the basekit function should be like old corrupt where stays up the whole time regardless of a quick down or not, or maybe you could have it when you go against nonmobility killers. This would be completely fine overall because with the 3 gen solution (im guessing they are just going to add an extra gen to prevent 3 genning). At this point removing so much freedom from killers warrants a basekit function to prevent one sided trials from occurring on the regular.
"territorial killer", you mean proxy camper. Is it that hard to go and play the game instead of being sitted next to a hooked person like an statue? Isnt that boring? Honest question. Please, I will wait for an honest answer.
-
I vote to give killers bazookas and 359,8% haste effect when the 5th gen pops. Also to make this more balanced I would give 96% hindered effect and blindness to survivors. And Exit gate are blocked by a meteorite.
This meteorite last 17 minutes. Once this time passed the meteorite breaks and a No Way Out base kit enters the game and runs for 32 minutes.
To make this more appealing to survivors I would put 4 hatchs in the map, that appears even when 4 survis are alive, but 3 of this hatches are traps. If a survi falls on this traps they are banned to play for 16hours. Its a penalty for play as survivor.
Hope this idea is read by any dev so we can see it in the next road map 🙏

Sure, but not every killer plays like that just like how not every survivor is a Rat Gamer.
You're ignoring what he's saying and going to the opposite extreme.
Opposite extreme? Its the most common thing nowadays to play in this way, tunnel out a survivor at 5 gens, sooner if possible, If I could tunnel them out of the lobby I sure would do it. And running 4 regressions perks as well, so every killer plays the same way, why is it a problem when a survivor tries to play differently? Not gen rushing, not being toxic, etc, just playing stealthy. Just think it for a moment and tell me its not hypocrite to say that.
-
"This new meta isn't an issue because it's "OP" or anything. It's because it rewards players for not interacting with each other. Quite literally the definition of anti-fun."
I wonder myself too if killers ask themselves if the survivor they are tunnelling and killing at 5 gens is having fun.
If killers wants to win using 4 regression perks, tunnelling, and sweating as if they were playing the finals, I think its safe to say survivors can play as stealthy as they want.
-
1: Skull Merchant
2: Skull Merchant
3: Skull Merchant
I dont even remember having a complete match against her, there is always someone giving up, unaliving themselves on hook. Nobody wants to play against her. Im always thinking at what could be his killrate because of this, it must be higher than any other killer at this point.
Also, while Nurse or Blight, Spirit (or wesker?) are super OP, at least they are pretty fun to go against, a lot of mindgames, 50/50 scenarios, I feel there is skill involved between the two sides when looping, with SkullMerchant I could play against a killer player, or an NPC and it would be the same, the same braindead gameplay, running from loop to loop because she instantly denies one place with the drones, hitting, debuffing to the ground to everyone who stays a few seconds in the drone zone with deep wound, or hindering you, at the same time that she becomes stealth. It feels so cheap man, you need zero skill with her. And im not even mentioning chess merchants that they are still out there and doing great at 3-gening.
-
Everytime I enter a match playing a survivor Im just prepared to get tunnelled, or to have a teammate tunnelled out at 4-5 gens by a killer thats using SB, PR and Pop as everyone else, so I will try to be as efficient as possible, because 3v1 in a 2gens scenario its still doable, 3v1 in 4-3 gens its almost impossible. So the fact that you played "nice" one match, doesnt balance the other 99% of the killers that plays in the same nasty-sweating their asses off-way, so trying to be efficients even if that means avoiding chests, dull totems, or even being injured, its the only thing a soloq survivor can do. Because also, if they go and flashlight save or sabo hooks, they will be considered as toxics, even when they are not repairing gens which is something positive for the killer.
-
I think the easiest solution for this problem is just adding a Wheel with some determinated messages, as "Repairing", "I will go unhooking", "Killer camping" things like that, you dont need a voice chat, or even a chat, having that wheel that works for the whole map would make a huge difference for solo Q.
-
This killers feels like a desperate atemp of trying to save something impossible to save. You can tell this by seeing his kit, it has everything, only thing missing now its that she doesnt make you onehittable as before, but she can make you loose one state of life, getting deep wounds and also hindered, and also shes getting haste buff for each stack you get from the drones, so survivors are always on a loose-loose situation.
On top of this shes also a stealth killer, so even if you crouch in the drone zones, if she has another drone next to yours she can easily sneak and hit you, so staying injured isnt an option here, being crouched either, and even if you deactivate the drone she can activate it pretty easily.
So yeah, as mentioned above, shes better stealth killer than any other killer in the game, has a lot of pros in his kit, and almost no cons, other than having drone that can be deactivated. And the cherry on top is that shes still a great 3-gen defender, not as nasty as before, but shes still one of the best killers in the game to do this.
I think by just removing the stealth factor would make a huge difference, I dont remember having won a match against her since his rework, everyone just kill themselves on hook, nobody wants to play against her. How is this not a problem in devs eyes?
-
There are a lot of perks to counter WoO, just use any of them mr killer in disguise
-
This last buff was as unnecesary as when they buffed Pop from 25 to 30%. Having tons of useless perks you choose to buff some already ok, or op perks as pop. The audacity.
-
You can still catch a survivor with hope at normal speed and even faster with bloodlust, look at the road map, there isnt a single survivor buff in 6 months, only DS and I have 0 hope for that, same for the 3 gen solution, the rest is all killer buffs or reworks, please for the love of god stop crying over each survivor perk. Practice more and you will be able to catch any of those damn survivor over exploiting an end game perk
