Punishing people for trying to avoid getting DDOSed isn’t the way to go.
-
When killer is at its easiest it’s ever been then there doesn’t need to be any updates that improve killer lol.
-
I suggested recovery to be capped at 15 seconds. It would still make recovering add ons more viable and duration add ons wouldn't be completely gutted. Oh well, at least rusty flute is undoubtedly one of her best add ons now.
-
As much as I hate that killer, that isn’t what the killswitch system is for.
-
Did you just completely ignore the couple of nerfs they’ve given to EMPs?
-
Combine this perk with wiretap and it can be really strong and fun on certain setups.

You still have to tell me why tunneling is a bad thing.
The tunneling I’m talking about is doing it at the complete start of the match and only targeting one survivor and ignoring the others. This completely ruins the experience of that survivor as they get very little BP and it also doesn’t help the killer player improve at all. It’s a cheap and scummy tactic that can be combatted with comms but what are solos supposed to do?
End game camping and tunneling is fine. Even seeing an opportunity to get someone out of the game with 1 or 2 gens left isn’t that bad too me.

And now the perk has three effects, what's your point? Either the killer tunnels and you have all three effects, or the killer doesn't tunnel and finds you again, and you can stealth much better as well as win more mindgames in chase because no aura and no sound. Distortion is an S-tier perk, and old Iron Will was widely ran because it was very strong. Giving OTR an 80s endurance effect on top is just the cherry on top.
Also, old Eruption got buffed and went months unnoticed before everyone started using it. "People weren't using it before!" means absolutely nothing when discussing balance.
Again, you’ll only get the most powerful effect if you hard tunnel. If you play normally then it’s literally the same exact perk it was before if the survivor is progressing the game at all. If they weren’t progressing the game, then obviously they were useless that whole time. Idk how it’s hard to comprehend.

OTR has two more effects outside of Endurance. Even if the survivor immediately interacts with a gen, they still have two S-tier perks active for 80s. I don't know why people like to skim over this fact.
You mean the two effects that were there before the buff to the perk? There’s a reason it saw no use before, because removing auras and grunts of pain for only 80 seconds was way too situational.
-
There’s not going to be a huge overhaul in one patch, they said they’ll change a smaller number of perks every big update.

You don’t get what the problem is apparently. SM can drag games out for longer than a match should go on and is incredibly dull to fight. There’s no interactive gameplay.

OTR is one of the most busted perks in the game, this isn't even up for debate. It is literally 3 S-tier perks in one, for 80s, twice a game. You get unlimited Distortion, old Iron Will, and BT, all for 80s. I understand it's "necessary" for anti-tunneling, but it is ridiculously strong. There's a reason every single comp league bans it across the board. This isn't even taking into account the fact you can use it aggressively to take hits, with DS to refresh your mend, with MFT so you last even longer in chase off DS, with Dead Hard so you can take another hit before going down again.
I understand the survivor main brainrot has convinced most people that "tunneling = bad" but tunneling is a legit strategy, that killers have to use to help them achieve a win, because survivors are simply too efficient BASEKIT, and maps are simply too safe, with a lot of them being balanced around the common denominator. A lot of maps in the game have enough pallets to predrop every single one and still be able to finish all gens with pallets to spare. What chance do weak killers stand against something like this?
This is honestly a ridiculous take. OTR only comes into play when the killer hard tunnels. If a killer is affected by OTR, then it’s clear that survivor has done nothing to progress the game. Also if the killer is hard tunneling, then they’ll probably just negate OTR entirely by hitting them before basekit BT would expire.

I remember a year ago when I uninstalled DBD for two months and moved to Valorant (still playing it currently). I guess we all just need a break at some point.
-
I love Adrenaline so much, it’s one of my favorite survivor perks, I hope the devs don’t nerf it one day 😭

I think the last doctor i saw was ages ago. I am just not seeing him so much, he is on Hag's level.
Lucky. I’m so sick of him.
-
You don’t get Doctor? He’s most my common killer right now and I would happily trade your Spirit matches for him lol.
-
I’m sorry but where is the fun in playing Skull Karen?
-
I would mostly suggest just playing the role that has the BP incentives and using BPS’s. If you’re running out of time, the shrine will let you gain bloodpoints by buying already owned perks.
In terms of a build, prove is good and deliverance is another solid option for BP.
-
Love how people thought boons won the boons vs scourge hook battle, yet right now it’s the complete other way around lol.
-
I love board games. I bought the collector’s edition of the DBD board game which has very original character up to Trickster and Yun Jin. The game is very fun and I have cousins that played it with me (also board game lovers), they don’t even play DBD and they enjoyed it. Definitely recommend.

Shes literally B tier if 3 gens dont spawn close to each other (Which is fine). Skull Merchant isnt the problem its the fact 3 gens can spawn where ANY killer can easily hold the same 3 gen that she pushes it over. If the gens are even moderately too far apart she's extremely easy to disable. The problem isn't SM its 3 gens in general she just exploits that already broken system.
It doesn’t even matter if gens are super close to each other. As long as they’re on the same side of the map, anyone can hold a 3 gen hostage against most teams with this killer. People are going to learn how to play this still and they’re basically not learning how to play DBD.

A top team lost the game.
What is the problem?
The team that has made a mockery of countless killers lost.
They say that if the top team lost then other people don't stand a chance.
The reality is that that team proves that the game has a serious imbalance and is completely in favor of the survivors.
there is no problem with the SM, there are very few people who use it.
There are many killers the probability of facing a SM is very low.
And yet there are SM who do not know how to use drones.
I play the 2 rolls and in solo Q I have beaten the SM and also in premade.
The SM is not broken, it just forces survis to play smart and give hooks early in the game to break the 3gen. If they do it and break the 3gen the SM will have lost the game.
The SM has no potential in chase, if at least 3 survs steal drons then she loses a lot of her potential to take care of 3gen.
Don't tell me she is invincible, because you are afraid to play properly.
What is really worrying is that there is a team with more than 550 wins.
The perks they use should be analyzed and the necessary nerfs should be applied.
It is more probably to face that team that abuses resources and tools than to face the SM that defeated them.
In short, if you can't take on a SM, you just don't know how to play and that's your problem and not the others.
JFC, some of y’all completely ignore what the actual problem with the killer is. The problem isn’t the fact that the best team can be beaten, the problem is the fact that SM can hold a game for almost a whole HOUR against the best team even with amazing coordination. Imagine what your average solo queue team has to go through going against something like this.
It’s miserable for everyone unless you’re the killer and enjoy kicking gens, placing drones near gens, and not doing anything productive the whole match. There’s nothing interesting here and that isn’t a subjective take.
If you genuinely think SM isn’t a problem, then idk what to say.

Why give so much info on hud to survs when SWFs have coms? to balance solo ok. Killer is already solo, some like sadako, plague, wesker, dont even have info of they powers, because this would be too much OP.
The HUD was literally just QoL for solo survivor. It does not help SWFs at all which is what killers have a problem with.
Killers have plenty of info. Plague and Wesker don’t need to have that much to be viable. You might be right about Sadako though.

Or maybe the game be balanced in a way that other killers are good too?
Every killer is good against most teams. Just because you get those occasional SWFs doesn’t mean that 90% of killers are unplayable.

Remove cant be done for obvious reasons and reworking her will end her up in the bottom barrel with Trapper, Freddy, and Sadako
That is no guarantee at all. Reworking her power into something different opens up many possibilities. All we know is that she needs it badly.

So because players have invested the time to play a killer in a way that they can face actual top competitive survivors and win, it means they should have it taken away? Im all for the idea that everyone should be allowed their fun but it goes both ways, the SkullM mains did nothing wrong but put their strength in late-game which should be allowed even if its "not fun". Personally I never understood the hate for long matches, sure 20min is the sweet spot but it isnt a mandatory rule.
I am sorry to the people that play her, but she is not healthy for the game by any means. There’s no gameplay for both sides and it takes no time to actually master her. She either needs to get removed or completely reworked.

I am not saying it does not promote 3 gens. I am saying the killer has chase potencial with add-on's. if you want to talk about very little skill. Looping weak m1 killer as survivor.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3488155#Comment_3488155
this is way too oversimplified of playing killer. the skill in looping knight is knowing how to shift-w guards. I know that sounds weird to say that there is skill in how to shift-w but there is large difference between a skilled survivor shift-w at correct time and doing in the correct area's vs randomly doing it without rhyme or reason. Your over simplifying knight's skill-ceiling and survivor's gameplay towards him. Needlessly to say, The knight is weak killer when you are good looping as survivor.
Oversimplification applies to skull merchant as well. I would rate skull merchant as "Clown" but better. her skill-cap in the chase with add-on is knowing how to use the bursts of speed to get hits. it is similar skill-cap to clown, except clown is weak while skull merchant is rewarding.
Even looping an M1 killer takes more skill than anything Skull Merchant can do. A lot of y'all really under estimate the amount of skill survivor takes. Even a macro strategy against M1 killers like Legion takes knowledge and game sense especially in solo queue.

this sounds like major misinformation. skull merchant is a decent chasing killer. she is not worse then knight. knight is inefficient chasing killer that relies on zoning and is easily countered by shift-w play. Skull merchant has chase potencial in her current design and does not rely on 3 gens. Like all killers, she is stronger when she 3 gens. The changes post-ptb improved her chase extensively. She is not a a nurse-level chaser but she can hold her own especially with add-on's. your 3 gen complaints on skull merchant are like complaining that bubba is good at facecamping hooks. 3 gen and facecamping hooks are part of the game but they are not everything the killer can do.
Skull Merchant’s current chase power does promote 3 gens and honestly takes extremely little skill. A survivor hacks a drone, she knows where they are, and then you get free Dissolution in that chase while also still able to defend those gens with ease. Nothing about this gameplay is interesting.
-
I remember having this same buff suggestion for BtB a couple years ago. It would be the ultimate nurse’s calling counter.
-
I’ve been playing Hux a lot lately and I’m really enjoying him. I feel like I’m getting better every time I play and it’s very rewarding.
-
Killer is in a good spot. I would say that it is in the best spot it has ever been. Sure there are those occasional really good SWFs that bring the most meta things but they are not that common. A lot of SWFs are very much beatable. You win some, you lose some.

the counter-play is eating the perk and playing strong efficient chasing killer that downs swiftly.
You wanna know a fun fact? You won’t have to eat the stun ever if you don’t tunnel immediately off hook early game.

@Devil_hit11 said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/383966/why-is-bhvr-so-afraid-to-nerf-tunnelling
because there is no counter-play to DS. there is no alternative way for killer to win.
If you slug a decisive strike user for 60 seconds ->60 second that 3 people can rush generators+potencial pick-up.
if you don't slug decisive strike user and pick up -> free second chance to extend chases. you get punished either way. lose/lose perk. creating anti-tunnel perk is punishing killer for playing the game.
Even if you did get hit with DS, 3 seconds is VERY little. It’s really only 2 seconds since 1 second of the animation is spent dropping the survivor to the floor. As @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said, just don’t focus down one survivor and you’ll be fine. Don’t act like DS doesn’t have counterplay, because it absolutely does.
-
@jesterkind said:
I mean... they have? They nerfed it a year ago, in 6.1.0. They also did add OTR as another viable anti-tunnel perk, as well as buffing Borrowed Time relative to where it was before.
It may still be bad, but back when you could be hit the second your feet touched the ground from an unhook, it was noticeably worse. Progress has been made, albeit slowly.
That being said, reverting DS' stun time would be a great change to help that along.
OTR is overrated. It became redundant after stacking endurance was removed, and now OTR gets negated by just hitting the survivor right as they get unhooker.
-
A lot of y’all don’t know that you can still play against people that you’ve blocked.

Yeah it’s been a problem for a couple years at this point, and I’m not sure if BHVR is doing that well at combatting it.

I can’t really comment too much without seeing gameplay but a lot of Spirits I see complaining about her being weak usually only phase right through pallets and/or just stand in place at a dropped pallet. You need to practice her more and not do the same exact thing every chase. She’s still really strong and she’ll continue to be strong even after the add on nerfs.
-
I can’t even fathom how much will go wrong with a system like this. It will be way too easy to create a new account and be matched with people who literally just started the game.

Trickster I've warmed up to.
The game would be better without SM. No Killer has ever been this hated, not even original Legion.
I wasn’t around during that time with release Legion, but it really seemed like no one will ever beat Legion in terms of how much the playerbase hated a killer.
