How many times SWF's abuse those perks to get everyone out, DS should be a anti-tunneling perk, but there are a lot of instances where people use it just to f*ck with the killer at endgame, same with BT, i think these should be nerfed in endgame because, cmon its endgame, everything goes. What do you think?

not only those 2 perks , there is alot of things that is not fair in this game, in terms of playing killer in high mmr , forget it it's pretty unbalanced.

same for solo survivors in high mmr.

I don't thin kthe devs play their game.

  • @LuckyLucy1999 said:

Has anyone else noticed a big increase in the amount of tunneling killers the last month or so? Or have i just been very unlucky? It seems like almost every other game the killer will just tunnel one player out the game in the first few minutes. Do the devs condone tunneling? They can't seriously think that tunneling people out of the game is in any way healthy or fun for the person(s) being tunneled, especially right at the start of the match.

welcome to mmr. this casual game of dbd can't be played without full meta perk builds and a 4 man on comms

I can't get a single killer match without either:

    1. Game randomly freezing

    2. Game freezing then kicking me out, giving me a DC penalty — worth noticing I still gain bp, xp etc.

    3. Getting survivors 10 times better than me

    4. Me trying to play Billy after 10 years, just to get sent to The Game and face survivors with 2000 hours.

I'm trying to have fun, but I haven't gotten anything better than 1k since 2 days.

welcome to mmr which made every single game a sweat fest. what a bad addition

    Hello.

    And also no.

  • I don't think you can bring back double pallet jungle gyms in the game anymore, removing stretched will not condemn that what so ever.

stretched res was such a meme, it did give some advantages but only people I watch using them were so called SWF champions that 4 stack and use discord and just roll killers and think they are good, totally not the game's fault being stupidly unbalanced at that level of gameplay.

you can't re-create those old maps today, people learned the game better now the average experience in the game is much more than it was back in those 40 pallets a map days. Also I honestly refuse to beleive you played this game long time ago.

there's just no way you think killers were strong in the past ? LUL survivors were way way way stronger than what they are today in old dbd.

also I thought I read the word tournament, I had no idea this game has a competitive scene?

a tournament ? in game that's heavily RNG dependent? that is NOT at all balanced in it's core?

I'm kind of surprised that they make tournaments for DBD.

anyways sorry for diving into my thoughts here, I was just here originally to share my opinion about why we can't have double pallet jungle gyms anymore

  • @fogdonkey said:

I guess all the swf trollsquads would go for the public one, so as a killer I would stay in the ranked one.

ehh good luck versing high mmr swf's.. game is literally unbalanced :)

  • 16 undying appearances in 200 match is very impressive, wonder what mmr this is

  • @bledd said:

One match today, a guy DC'd after being downed in first minute or so. So I DC'd too because the killer was then refusing to hook, cba to waste my time.

Wait for MM ban to expire....

Next game, Pig with the addon that gives everyone a helmet. She didn't chase anyone, just blocked one of the puzzle box things, which was my final one. Upon reaching it, was just blocked and not attacking. So I DC'd.

Now an extra long wait :/

it's not something unpreventable, you just need to not DC

  • @Milo said:

Sweat fests could and would happen in public matches too so not much would change? Aside from splitting the queues.

if you put random 4 people together and a one random killer from like thousands of killers Q'ing .. I'm pretty sure it would not be as consistantly sweat feast as the ranked mode is

in pubs you might end up running into a killer on his first match. or a mid tier killer or like a god killer it's pretty luck based rather than high MMR killer that will play against you cause you have high mmr. The randomness of matchmaking makes the game more fun and enjoyable and will 100% be less boring specially as solo Q surivor.

i play survivor and use dead hard a lot, and i only ever use it for distance (which is my biggest complaint about the perk)

i havent been exhausted on the floor in a long time using it that way

and im not saying its overpowered or anything, just annoying being outplayed by a press of a button rather than the survivors skill

it's a perk in the game. I don't know what you mean by skill. this game takes practice.

also sometimes you need both ( distance + hit dodge ) before you make it to safety.

all in all, it's not OP at all.. just less experienced players rant about it non-stop.

How would it be a latency issue? If Dead Hard is canceling mid animation that has nothing to do with latency. The server see's youve done the input and is sending the info back.

Also even if its an issue related the servers, thats still a bug.

again.. you either have no idea what you're talking about or you know better than the devs who said it's latency related matter.

please research more about why dead hard is affected by Latency before you just comment for the sake of commenting

Ummm no,, it does not matter how long you have been playing. If you start a match and after 20 seconds you are on the hook because you spawned near the killer then he sits so close you can smell his internet breathe lol and if you are lucky to have someone go for broke to save the killer goes right back for you again totally ignoring the one who saved you,, how was that a fun game for that player? Isnt this game supposed to be fun for both? You are lying to yourself if you say this doesn't happen more than not. I have been playing for months and this is happening so much more now than it was when I first started.

My guess is there is sooooo many sweaty killer mains trying to gain the ground they lost with regard to the debacle of this recent rank reset they are pulling out the lazy game plays to win because they know it works and its easy. I worked my way up to red rank survivor the hard way by solo q the entire time. So if I get camped and tunneled and lose a hard earned pip or rank it sucks because some sweaty killer main wants to get his rock off by being a dick and fw people for the sake of it and their perverse sense of enjoyment. To say nothing of the fact that the game devs seems to have no problem with it this makes them think this is okay. The answer to this is to make these killer mains play solo survivor only for a few months and I bet they wont do this crap anymore,,, well maybe those idiots who never learn will do it. Its a never-ending thing until there are penalties put in place for sitting by a hook no mater what the occasion but, we all know this will never happen. So in the end, why even do these threads they should be deleted as soon as they are made no one EVER see's the other players side ever!

    ummmmm, no

again, I can't control how people want to play the game, Never cried or ranted really.. I will never do ( maybe did when I was new myself) can't remember it's been 4 years I play this game

I'd just go next. and I'll try not to get downed in 20 seconds at the start lmao.. that's the majority of survivor player base these days not only you btw.. can't get chased for more than 20 seconds.

20 seconds in the match and they are on the hook...LMFAO.

also who cares about pips are you serious ?? how long have you been playing this game?

your entire comment gives me the new player vibes sorry mate I respect your opinion but I'm still standing where I am.

It’s the circle of nerfs: the most complained about thing gets nerfed and then people move onto the next thing.

DS was nerfed so now it’s either DH or BT that will get complained about endlessly. Same thing with survivors: Freddy got nerfed so next they complain about Twins or whatever.

and that's why some games have devs that literally keep the communication with player base to an extreme minimum cause it's a mess when the communication gets so available

  • @feruis said:

It rewards way to much for making a bad play, on top of that it doesn't take any skill to press one button, plus it's uncounterable in some situations.

alot of perks are uncounterable in " some situations "

alot of things happen in DBD with a single button press ( although you should read above someone explained better than I did why DH does actually require skill )

alot of perks reward bad plays ( I'm assuming you can fill this blank )

I think it's wrong to say that Dead Hard requires 0 skill.

If a 0 hour player picks up the game uses David and equips Dead Hard, they are just going to get slaughtered without Dead Hard doing much for them.

I've seen survivors use Dead Hard too late and lose momentum for a fast vault and get hit in the medium vault. Or dash too far from the pallet and get vacuumed back into a hit while also dropping the pallet.

You also can't simply use Dead Hard in the middle of nowhere, because without being around safety it won't do anything to extend the chase longer than a few seconds.

The last thing with Dead Hard is that you can use it to Greed loops an extra time, but you do need the skill to determine if you have enough distance to do so. I've seen plenty of Dead Hard survivors try to greed a loop only for them to realize too late that I was too close for them to do so.

Good use of Dead Hard requires good positioning and good timing. You can't simply press E without having some skills to back up that decision. Dead Hard itself doesn't just automatically dash you to safety.

that's what I mean when I say people who say it does not require skill have no clue what they are talking about

I'm curious. How do you counterplay endurafury when your teammates threw two pallets and you aren't aware of the killer having the combo?

You stun them, correctly winning this section of the chase, and instead of gaining distance and continuing the chase for performing correctly, you just go down because you were unable to react or be aware of perks that were being used. There is no possible way to counter this set if you aren't aware of it unless you decide to drop every single pallet early. And wasting resources because a potential perk combo in play isn't really counterplay, it's just bad design.

you're more clear now.. you added ( awareness )

well, welcome to DBD .. it's the fun of this game with it's surprised.. oh #########.. they had Coup de grace I never knew.. oh ######### they had endurfury I never knew before now..

should we remove these perks or just love the game with all it's perks and all the thrill of surprise and bla bla ???

  • @Yamaoka said:

" Most people who complain about DH obviously don't play survivor and / or never use DH. "

Stopped reading as your post is the typical "if you don't agree with me you're a killer/survivor main" bs.

    Dead Hard counters:

    - hits (inconsistent, I agree)

    - grants distance to get to a loop

    - allows for flashlight saves that would otherwise been impossible to get

    - counters most killer powers in the game which is particularly triggering when you would have hit them with a projectile killer who are often tricky to use in the first place.

It does too much considering it requires literally 0 skill.

I had to stop reading when I read FLASHLIGHT SAVE .

I'm way past that point as a killer, sorry . but I feel your pain.. I been there. Flashlights are annoying when we start playing the game.

  • @NomiNomad said:

I mean, I'm pretty split on the DH argument. I personally don't give a ######### about it. Dead Hard for distance is incredibly annoying and borderline uncounterable, but the intended use of the perk doesn't work so I don't really care. Also, no, I don't have only "20 hours" in the game, I have over 2000.

But it is 100% a "Press E to outplay" perk. Dead heard is not skillful, don't try and pretend it is. It doesn't take some big brain to know when to dead hard.

    ok :)

  • @ShinobuSK said:

Its still the strongest survivor perk in the game

debatable. I'd say Borrowed Time .

  • @KolbyKolbyKolby said:

Whether it is effective or not isn't really what the complaints are about.

Playing a tile correctly and mindgaming a survivor so you down them because of their mistake is the primary thrill of chasing as killer. When you do so correctly, and are denied the down because of dead hard, it punishes you for playing correctly.

It doesn't necessarily win games, it feels bad to go against, and having something that has little or no counter when used correctly is a justified complaint. Things like stridor spirit, dead hard, bamboozle, endurafury, old ds aren't problems because of the strength as much as because you are punished for playing correctly or facing something that has no legitimate form of counterplay.

I feel like ( looking at your comment ) ... devs need to remove half the game .

I just want to explain something, people need to work with the perks and not hate them..

I don't know why you think endurafury has no counter play.

much love for sharing your thoughts <3

  • @Sup3rCatTree said:

I used to use Dead hard all the time but it's too inconsistent, I always get exhausted on the ground, and playing Killer it's so annoying to go against. I run Lythe now because I get so much more value than Dead hard will ever give me

yes.. it's a perk that does not work a lot of times. Couldn't agree more.

  • @Carlosylu said:

"Toxic Gameplay", what about camping, tunneling and slugging?

This concepts do exist and are actually allowed and not punishable, BUT, it's a matter of respect in terms of gaming, you can either play "correctly" caring for other people's experience, or just be a dick about it.

Killers camping, slugging or tunneling are as much of a dick move players as survivors clicky clicking, gen rushing or teabagging the killer.

If you need to explain reasons that allow you to be a dick to others in order to "better" achieve your objectives as either killer or survivor, you do not need them, be my guest, you can do it regardless of people complaining about this behaviour.

Just please don't be one of those people who play without caring about other player's experience and then complain when someone does that to you. THIS IS JUST A GAME, AND IT'S NOT FOR EVERYONE.

when I see a survivor using terms like ( camping - Tunneling ) I just realize they are new to the game. Any OG player won't complain about something that is in the game.

people feel like everyone should play the way THEY want. Entitled people. hey don't camp me? hey don't tunnel me ? hey do this hey do that..

like just play the game, you can't get camped if you don't die in the first place

you can't get tunneled if you don't get downed in the first place.

let's play entitlement games ... I'm as survivor gonna ######### talk killers for camping and tunneling and killer ######### talk me for doing generators

  • as an experienced killer you already know how to deal with dead hard.

yes they might use it for distance yes they might use it for the hit dodge.. you already have enough knowledge to deal with it.

How ever for new players who are playing killer I find complaining about a perk ( that does not work most of the time ) kind of annoying.

watch streams and see how good killers deal with dead hard. It's really not an OP perk. I'd rather 4 dead hards than 4 sprint bursts because most people using dead hard will get denied anyways,, the perk is legit getting canceled mid animation.. Dedicated server was a huge nerf to dead hard anyways,

mid animation means before the animation ended like you can see the animation take off but you still get put down and the animation does not go through all the way.

I have been looking at streams and it seems like it's a very common problem and all dead hard users know about it, turns out it's an issue related to dedicated servers. since I haven't played the game much after the introduction of Dedicated servers, I only found out about this recently. and to be fair I don't even know what you're talking about it's certainly not a bug neither am I a noobie to think that after my character finished the full animation I got hit. but if they wanted to buff survivors to compensate for the ds change why would they buff chests? they could subtly increase vaulting speed, accidentally re-introduce the wake up bug and suddenly it's basekit for everyone our bad, or give a whole new raft of shadowchanges that would be a lot more subtle than increasing chest luck.

pallets is a totally different story imo. pallets always been bugging after new releases, I've been playing this game since 2016 and never missed a patch and trust me the amount of times pallets have been bugged it's just countless. I 100% call that a bug . but no, not the chests they have to have adjusted the percentages for them.
