only as killer i think as survivor no that much , i play with music all the time and i don't have any issues it's literally impossible at this point not listen while i play surv
I think it is just as important with survivor. Especially with stealth killers, Spirit's phasing etc. Also located hexes by hearing them.
-
I can't listen to music when playing the game. Sounds are very important in this game. On both sides.
-
Like a big 'ol potato.
-
I wish they'd put it back. I thought it was a great feature.
-
Tier 70 and all challenges done. I am a good Dweet.
-
Dwight because I am a geek/nerd myself.
I really like his backstory of how even though he was basically the underdog most of his life, he rose up as leader material under the dangerous circumstances when he was brought to the Entity's world. Like how pressure can bring out the inner strength in a person. Dwight is like the little engine that could.
Visually he's great. I love his cosmetics. His nervous geeky look. And some of his pain noises are adorably funny. "Whoa ho ho!!!" 😄

Kinda annoying how i can stare right at him and all of a sudden "exposed" and im just like... "okay bs" and of course i get one hit downed thanks to a faulty feature.
Right? That's one of the worst aspects about him.

The hyperbole in this thread is staggering. I am actually impressed.

Level 70 for nearly 2 weeks now.

winning against bad survivor doesnt mean that the killer or player behind is good/strong. when will you learn that. also he is cherry picking his lobbys often and doesnt upload his bad games to youtube. should say everything.
So if he does consistently well with Wraith then the survivors must be bad. Sound logic there.

"In the context of this game"? Please show me this "Context". Nowhere in the in-game bio's, nor the dead by daylight wikipedia, nor the stream, xbox or playstation stores, do they specify that an original character is one that was created by them. Nor did the original poster indicate that was what they meant in the opening post. In the opening of the description of the dlc of this topic, Behaviour put: "The SHATTERED BLOODLINE chapter is a Chapter for Dead By Daylight and it includes a new Killer, a Survivor and a Map." So, in the C̶o̶n̶t̶e̶x̶t̶ creative sense that YOU speak of, yes Adam would be "Original", but that was not the definition that I am speaking of. "New" is not "Original" in this case.
Ok you want to be pedantic. That's fine. You're correct there's is no official written statement that calls any of the characters created specifically for this game original. But that is what is meant when the Dbd community refers to them as original characters. They are referring to characters that the creative team made up for this game, as opposed to the ones created in movies and TV shows that Bhvr got permission to put into the game. Hence the labeling of original and licensed.
I know this is all information you already know. But for some reason you seem intent on trying to make a simple discussion unnecessarily complicated and pedantic.
-
Michael for me. Because you're playing a long game with Myers building up your stalk. And its also a strategic process, because if you're smart with the boogeyman you'll bring it to the edge and have that tier 3 ready to pop at the most opportune time.
Smart Myers players also don't max stalk the first survivor they see. They'll leave enough so they can get more off that survivor later in the match. There's four survivors in the match. Use them all, and don't put yourself in the situation where you run into one later and find you've no stalk left on them.
-
I'm not try to be a fence sitter, but I think they both made valid points. Mainly because they are both coming from different perspectives of what viable and a "win" is.
Otz considers a killer getting a 3-4k a win. Whereas Tru3 believes pipping/ranking up after a match is a win. Now its easy to understand why killing most or all of the survivors is a win for the killer. But on the other hand I really do understand Tru3's point by saying if a killer "won" then the game should reward them for that. If you get a 3-4k and only safety pip then he can't wrap his head around how that is a win if the game is not rewarding you for victory.
On the other hand you could simply say the pipping/ranking system for the game is flawed and needs adjusting. A lot of players do feel that way. But either way it was great to see two strong Dbd personalities have a civil and informative discussion. If only everyone in Dbd could be like that.
-
As a Prove Thyself user I support this idea.

It's simple. Define "Original".
In the context of this game original means a character that was created by Bhvr. In that sense Adam is an original character. Whereas the likes of Laurie, Tapp, Ash, Quentin, Steve etc are not original as they are licensed. Taken from movies/TV shows.
-
With that logic all hexes are jokes because they all stand an equal chance of being found and destroyed early.

Clearly you've never worked with psych patients. I have, and you couldn't be more wrong if you tried.
Edit: Never mind, I read your second post. You're actually capable of being more wrong. Look. The best defense against a knife is your feet. And by that I mean outrunning them. I know people on the internet try to act tough, but I know for a fact that you've never dealt with an assailent wielding a knife. Because if you did, you wouldn't be so laissez faire about it. Safely disarming someone using a knife with an intent to kill you, with your bare hands no less, is nigh impossible. Regardless of size or skill. Period. And when it does happen? That's the exception, not the rule. For every successful disarming there are scores more people who were maimed or killed. Usually by people much, much smaller than them. So sod off with that fantasy Rambo shite.
And I personally think Legion's storyline is interesting for the reason you disliked it. They AREN'T special. That was the point. Anyone who made the wrong decisions, with the wrong people, could end up like them. Hence the title "Darkness Among Us". Just because you personally don't like them, doesn't make them less interesting.
Ignorance is bliss for you. You don't have to have worked with psych patients to have been attacked by a nut case with a knife. I have been. I know what its like. You sit there trying to dictate what I haven't faced in my life. You're something else.
Second, what I said had nothing to do with "Rambo shite". Its basic common fact. Look up any instruction video on how to defend yourself from a knife attack, and its got nothing to do with running away, and is perfectly possible with your bare hands e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGcxtaLO4Bg
Finally, I say the Legion storyline is less interesting because it was just four vandal teens who killed one person between them. You hear of thugs like this every day. Boring, uninteresting, and the fact that three of them had to be coerced into it by Frank makes it even less impressive, and leaves me wondering why the Entity even wanted them. So to paraphrase you again; just because you personally like it doesn't make it interesting. Its my opinion that its uninteresting, I've given reasons why I think its uninteresting, so don't come crowing to me that what I think is any less valid than your equally subjective opinion.
Now if you're going to respond to me again, drop your hostile attitude or I'll get a moderator in here to sort you out.

I for one can not wait until my santa clown can start chasing little elf dwights. I probably wont even hit them, i mean if i kill the elves i may have to hire people to make the gifts and that's just not economically feasable
You're the kind of killer I want to run into. Someone who will see a Dwelf and put on Santa Clown and have some fun with them lol.

Wasn't a big issue for me playing survivor you win some you lose some but you live you live to fight another day
If everyone had that attitude there would be no complaints about getting Haddonfield as killer, keys, mori's, insta heals, and the plethora of other things this community complains about.
-
I've had the ugly sweater on my Dwight since December 1st. But just wait til next week when this festive beauty arrives;
-
Any survivor in dark clothing blends on that map. I've got the ugly sweater cosmetic on my Dwight right now, and all I've had to do is crouch in the grass and no killer has spotted me yet.
That map is very dark.
-
Come on even Freddy players can't have found those dragged out forever build matches fun.
-
I wish Dwelf was coming today 😔
-
Adam, Quentin, and Tapp are the survivors I see the least.

Saminations Parody of Dbd has ruined me. Every time I think of a character, I instantly hear the voices that Samination used for them. I especially love their Dwight, Claudette, Trapper(the best), and Wraith.
Lol yeah I'd have to agree. I sometimes imitate his Dwight when playing with my friends.
-
I want to hear Dwight talk 😊
-
Yeah I find the majority of Ghostface players I come across do this. Its really annoying.
-
No it matches with the highest rank in the lobby. So if the highest rank in the swf is rank 1 then that's the killer rank it aims for matching with.
-
I've barely seen any Oni's since his release.
-
Otz is such a great guy. Polite, level headed, tries to see both sides of an argument.
-
When is the next tome level out? Is it this week or next?

You answer shows that you have no experience with people in frenzy and real knifes.
I don't know how it is in your country, but sometimes in small shops in my country you can buy knifes.
I had 1 time do it by myself, but this knife is really laughable. The knife I had bought is made out of weak materials and probably I could break it in half. It almost feels like a Cosplayer-weapon, back in the days where no Cosplayers have exist :).
So I get why you think that a knife is not terrifying.
However a complete difference to that is as example a army/combat knife. If you hit with such a knife someone, he will definitely be heavy injured, or maybe even dead, because of the length of that army knife and used materials and also the sharpness.
And what frenzy matters...
Well ask people that work in psychiatrics.
The people that go in full rage mode even without a weapon, don't feel pain while they attack or getting attacked, are faster and stronger as a normal guy and usually need 3-4 Caregiver with sedatives to get them down...
Well that are the Legion guys.
Just ask a random Caregiver about those guys, usually everyone of them learn to know such guys after a while in the job.
Two things;
1. I don't care if someone feels pain or not. If someone is stronger than you and can handle themselves then you're going down. They are going to knock that knife (or broken ruler 😁) out of your hand and knock your ass on the ground.
2. Legion can down survivors even when they are not in frenzy mode. Out of all the killers they are the most implausible to physically dominate these survivors even in the confines of a fantasy world like Dbd.
Most of the other killers I can buy being as fearsome and physically dominant as they are. Some are supernatural, some are monsters, some are massively physically imposing or have abnormal superhuman strength. Nothing about the Legion's back story suggests they are anything special. Just a group of teen vandals who killed one person between the four of them, and even then it was Frank who forced them to do it.
I know people hate the Legion nerfs, and it does suck for Legion fans, but honestly it feels apt they are the weakest killer in the game because against the likes of Trapper, Myers, Freddy, Hag, Spirit etc they are out of their league amid this clan of monsters, supernatural beings, pro serial killers etc. They're just a bunch of teenage hooligans. Their backstory is the least impressive to me.
-
Some killers should not even be a threat to survivors. You trying to tell me the bunch of uppity teens that is the Legion would have the likes of David King, Jeff etc running for their lives?
Hell Laurie Strode and Quentin would kick their asses. They've gone toe to toe with Michael and Freddy and survived.

That's the point though. So does Meg.
Her Fortuneteller Outfit isn't athletic. Her upcoming outfit isn't athletic. Her Street Smart set and Grim Matsuri outfits aren't "athletic". And Camping isn't the same aesthetic as athletic no matter how had you try to stretch it.
The community really likes to exaggerate, but she has plenty of outfits that aren't sporty. She also has a lot that are, but that's just because she has more cosmetics than anyone. But Dwight/Nea/Feng absolutely fall into the same pattern.
I again exempt Dwight from that. I just named a handful of ones that are nothing to do with pizza delivery. I can go on. His snake oil merchant cosmetic, most of the hoodies with the sweat pants and socks, his various shirt and tie combos, all the t-shirts based on various streamers....Dwight has more non pizza themed cosmetics than he does actual pizza ones. In fact it would have been easier for me to just list the ones that have pizza on them lol - pizza delivery cosmetic, PizzaWhat hoodie, parachute cosmetic, and the PizzaWhat waistcoat and shirt combo.
Can you say the same about Meg's sports ones being outnumbered by the non sporty ones?
-
Bond >>>>>>> Empathy

Friends who were playing it and told me Michael Myers was in it.

She isn't though. Meg does have other outfits.
And what about Dwight whose outfits are constantly pizza-related? Or Nea, whose outfits constantly make her look homeless?
Dwight has a variety of outfits that are not pizza delivery themed. Date night outfits, mechanic cosmetic, hallowed blight etc.
Soon we are going to have Dwelf 😊
-
Yikes that looks bad. Why did they do that.
-
I am doing my ugly sweater Dwight at the moment, and I am able to crouch in long grass and killers never see me. Hell I don't see me.
-
Michael Myers
Perks: Monitor and Abuse, Ruin, Pop goes the Weasel, Sloppy Butcher, Brutal Strength.
Add ons: J. Myers Memorial, Dead Rabbit, Scratched Mirror, Boyfriends Memo.
I'm covering my two main play styles on Michael. His spooky build, and his stalk and insta down build. With his spooky build a.k.a. scratched mirror I'll take off M&A and put on brutal strength to chew through those pallets. Sloppy is great to keep them injured for prolonged periods. Pop and ruin to slow down that gen rush. M&A to get in close and personal, and it is absolutely lethal on Michael.
-
Oni feels nothing like Myers. Michael plays on stealth, and can get up close to survivors to attack, and has a much easier time of insta downing them. Unlike Oni, especially on console, plays like a clumsy awkward Hillbilly.
-
Maybe its bugged? The description says you just have to take a hit when the killer is carrying a survivor.
-
Just go back to the old system of killing all four survivors. There was nothing wrong with that.
-
I've only faced him a handful of times over the last three days. He's a rare sight for me. I'm red rank survivor.
-
Spirit for obvious reasons.
-
I'm on PS4 an don't see any improvement.
-
Michael's psychiatrist Dr. Loomis;
-
I've only played against the Oni a handful of times because hardly anyone seems to be playing him on PS4. At least in the lobbies I'm getting, and I'm a red rank survivor. I've yet to die to an Oni. The best I've seen an Oni do so far is get a 2k. His attack is easy to dodge, and he is even easier to 360 when he is in blood fury mode.
As for playing him myself, I played many matches with him to get his adept, and the achievement for downing 75 survivors in blood fury mode. He plays like a clumsy Hillbilly, IMO. After having gotten the two achievements associated with him I never want to touch him again. I just don't like how he plays. He's awkward and frustrating.
