  • A ship map would be awesome but how would you go about with exit gates? What happens when a survivor walks out of the gates do they just jump in the ocean or what?

With a ship map it would be cool if there was a slight sway to the screen to represent a ship on the ocean sailing away.

  • Give me SCP map and licensed D-Class cosmetics for survivors

  • I prestige because of crippling OCD and a feeling of incompleteness. Otherwise I wouldn't do it because it offers zero benefits. The rarity thing is nothing also because certain rarity addons for killer for example are usually garbage or better. Even so you don't notice it because it's random anyways.

There needs to be a consistent reward for prestiging.

    Prestige should give the following

    • Loadout Slots per prestige (We should have 3 or so by default)
    • Some sort of discount on the bloodweb or for perks
    • Maybe a BP bonus for playing as a prestiged character but this one is debatable

Bam suddenly prestige is more enticing to everyone as it actually gives you benefits.

See. Here is the thing about that. As much as i agree that it should rely on survivor skills...the game is literally too safe for them. I main 4 killers respectively. Bubba, doctor, spirit and freddy. Depending on the map and survivor there is times i can barely get a down because survivor jumping from one loop to another. All while the other 3 are on gens. Even if i drop chase at times i cant even find other survivors due to their perks. A killer needs to be feared. With all the safe loops and pallets do survivors actually fear the killers or just be like "oh #########..here we go again"

In my opinion the way you fix the game being too safe for survivors is map design and baseline game features. Some killers are just outright garbage like Clown and Legion but some killers just aren't fun to deal with when you're playing at the highest skill level possible like Spirit. I still believe Nurse is a great example of a strong killer that's fair balance wise.

yea i agree, but some techs dont take skill, remember the hook tech? u only had to crouch back on the hook

Yeah stuff like that can go but that's blatantly an exploit. What I consider techs is stuff that takes a bit of skill and practice. Not tapping a button to do it for example. Good example though.

  • Spirit's power is basically taking all the engagement away from survivor to where it's one sided. You have zero information to work with and she can mind game by afk'ing because of how her power works. Literally the most inept playstyle this game has to offer. Imagine being rewarded for just standing still. I despise her current iteration and wish she would be reworked. I love strong killers like Nurse for example because you can read the power and if you get hit most of the time it's because YOU messed up. With Spirit it's pretty much oh noes you guessed wrong :) Try again.

That's how she's broken anyways. Regarding being OP some of her addons are still pretty jank in regards to how strong it makes her but tbh addons don't matter much since you can go in without addons and demolish experienced players easily if you have a pair of headphones and know how to listen.

I know how this forum works so full disclaimer I primarily play killer etc etc. Mostly because survivor is boring but still.

  • @HuntressGurl103 said:

It isn't 1 sided, it is fair now, they blocked it for survivors too, the harvester used to be a death trap for survivors, and IMO techs shouldn't exist, they're an excuse from the lazy devs to not fix "them"

I'm conflicted on this but ultimately if the techs go I'd like them replaced with actual features and mechanics that add to the skill ceiling the game has. Outright removing them lowers the skill ceiling and not only makes games less skill based but also more boring. You remove these techs you essentially turn the game into peak gameplay = bloodlusting a survivor to death.

  • Regarding Aftercare I'm all for giving it more things that enable aura. However Blindness is already useless most of the time as killer so absolutely not on bypassing blindness. Also no to lockers. The perk is actually quite strong as it is.

Breakdown would be cancerous to go against and would encourage mass slugging.

No complaints against Distortion. It's kind of a mediocre / bad perk anyway because of how easy it is to eat tokens. It's such a situational perk anyways.

  • Dead by Daylight needs a better tutorial system and introduction to features. Currently the tutorial doesn't even cover totems on PC.

Doesn't help that tooltips are bad for a lot of killers and survivors or need updated.

That tutorial is very nice though good lord that's impressive for mobile.

  • I've made the argument to give survivors and killers a consolation prize when mori's or keys or used and it's always "Don't reward people for losing" which I don't get because most of the time this is out of your control. Mind you mori's would be easier and more sensible to have an overall BP bonus for the round when used.

    100% agree with you.

We do state that what happens outside of the game is not something we can take action on. We can access the chat logs within our game (so end game chat) but that any other chat offences have to be dealt with on the platform that it occurs on - we've always been very clear about that.

Curious question. Is there any situation where you would punish someone who purposely targets those outside of DBD to circumvent your report system? Because I'll be honest it takes a lot for Steam to punish someone for being a jerk on their client. Yeah you can block people but Steam is pretty hands off with a lot of stuff.

  • @GoodLookinCookin said:

The map can be a bit deceiving for nurse with all the random objects around the map, it is too cluttered and in result the nurse has a hard time on the map.

That and the map is quite buggy. I've ended up inside walls and underneath the floor plenty of times to where I always have to consider would I rather AFK on this map as Nurse or get annoyed at one game losing bug each time I get on this map.

  • Increase his base capacity to 3 by default at least. I'm not opposed to him starting with one trap the issue with that is primarily where the traps spawn. Sometimes they are nearby sometimes they are completely out in a dead zone. If anything trap spawn zones need to be adjusted so they're in more convenient locations for trapper per map. To me this is one of his biggest issues.

Oh boy I just set up 3 really nice traps and now the closest trap I see is in the corner of the map where there's not even a generator. Do I waste time going over there and picking it up or do I patrol gens without a power now? If anything maybe the entity could assist trapper and occasionally move unarmed traps for him in more convenient locations as he patrols the map.

  • Delete Spirit or make her less of a guessing game on survivors end. Doesn't matter whether it's an educated guess or not it's still a guess on predicting her power as survivor.

  • I'm fine with the model waist down however I feel like the top needs to be a bit more bulky like the original. However the head I prefer your edit although their interpretation of her isn't bad. I like the DBD hair but the eyebrows on the edit is admittedly preferred.

  • I used to be nice and always give hatch and make sure everyone had fun but the thing is what people don't understand. If you're a nice killer you get punished for it by the game so you have to play meta perks all the time. You experiment with off meta perks even just a little or have a bit of fun then in red ranks you get Brutal Killer at best and likely ENTITY DISPLEASED. Game doesn't reward you for playing nice and trying to have fun you have to always kill kill kill. Survivors have to respond to this and it's a never ending cycle on who can pull out the sweatiest build possible. Reward me for playing well and doing specific things on each killer don't have a one size fits all ranking system because honestly it's garbage that way. You're going to tell me at red ranks Gate Keeper should be the same for all killers as an example? This is what encourages camping and tunneling the most because killers want to perform well but the game tells them no.

The game is only fun when that magical 1 out of 100 game happens where both sides are running off meta perks and meme'ing it up and having fun but that almost never happens. I've been running a lot of meme builds lately and even though I get brutal killer most of the time and survivors are little shits about it I try to have fun. Main motivation to even do this is streaming and having a laugh with friends on stream. If that wasn't there I'd probably have stopped playing a bit ago. Can't have fun I just need to constantly play sweaty to be rewarded in game. Even if I 4k I mostly get brutal killer because gens get done too quickly That or I get low chaser points because my power either one hit downs or has a hit of its own. Such a stupid system that doesn't reward other skills it's just a binary DID YOU DO THIS YES OR NO.

Doesn't help that survivors are motivated to speedrun objectives because a lot of tome challenges are like WITHIN A SINGLE TRIAL YOU MUST DO THIS AND ESCAPE so that alone creates an unfun environment for both survivors and killers.

Excuse my rant but hey felt it appropriate.

What would make me happy in games

    • Killer specific pip rewards for doing X action in game like last year.
    • Reward for utilizing certain perks
    • Let me actually use off meta perks without feeling like I'm going to get burned

Like I'll just say it the way Last Year awards pips is a lot more appealing than this games rank system. Mind you that's like the only thing that game did right.

Thats fair. This is only for fun, I am in no way advocating for half the roster to be cut lol.

No worries mate that's what my post is minus maybe some truthful opinion for Spirit. Genuinely despise her existence in this game and all I play is killer. I just feel she's unhealthy for the game and was the start of the really "unfun" killers who have boring or non existent counters. I still believe Deathslinger and Pyramid Head who share the same problems can be fixed but fundamentally Spirit cannot.

  • I'd remove Spirit, Pig, Hag and Plague (And Legion)

Spirit - Regardless on the counters everything you do against good ones is a guess. Whether it's a blind guess or an educated guess you're still guessing most of the time against this killer. That isn't fun, that isn't counterplay and that's not an engaging way to play against a killer.

Hag - Fundamentally this killer is designed to camp - Mind you most people in the community play her wrong as she can be quite fun to play against. However she encourages camping which is boring over dealing with her in chase. She needs to be able to set up traps more actively and somehow discourage camping and she'd be fun.

Plague - Wasted potential / Should start over with this killer - Good concept but honestly the most efficient way to play this killer is tap a survivor with puke and hit them with m1 and play around that. It's more consistent and reliable instead of puking against good survivors because you'll waste so much time doing so with your power.

Pig - I'd go rework territory but this killer thematically needs so much I doubt it ever happens. Only licensed character in this game I'm disappointed with. Also this killer is the only one who seems to really encourage playing in a toxic unfun way. Camping, tunneling, etc. If you want a survivor dead you can guarantee it with this killer.

Legion - Overall disappointing use of the character and misleading promotional trailer. Would prefer this killer get the Freddy treatment and get a new power however still emphasizing speed. Mind you The Blight pretty much got the power I'd give Legion lol.

Don't really see a major reason to remove the rest of them. They just need rebalancing. Even the ones I mentioned I'm pulling at straws. Except Spirit I'd genuinely delete her from the game right now and not feel a loss at all.

  • Make Cruel Limits like a mix of Tinkerer and Mindbreaker. When a generator is at 70% the killer is notified and when all survivors get off the generator all surrounding vault locations are blocked for 30 seconds in a 24/28/32 meter radius. Now the perk can be used many times in a round and it's at least "decent" even though some maps are bad.

  • In my opinion it would be too strong to be a non hex perk however I won't say whether it's fine as a hex perk.

  • Regarding Jane's set it's probably a limitation on how you buy things. Sure they could have just the dress parts linked and the head separate however while it's an entire set I imagine BHVR currently cannot have it so that two items are forced to be purchased at once in a set while the third part isn't if people wanted to do that. So the easier solution was simply to make all three parts part of a set. If they weren't a set aside from the linked parts someone may buy part of it and be unable to equip it because they don't own both parts.

Something along those lines granted this is mostly speculation.

No I just want to not be Face camped buy a bubba everygame who never moves and always has his saw ready to go at least speeding up the overheat gives some counterplay as they cannot spam it rapidly for insta downs because people have unhook challenges

This isn't an issue you can solve by nerfing Bubba. For starters they probably should rework Insidious to discourage this playstyle. Regarding hooks you need to address basement and situations where killer can prevent unhook in first place. Until then it's going to be every killer doing it not just Bubba.

  • I don't mind helping but real talk can I get like the BP I've lost out because of this?

But yeah sign me up regardless just jesus I've lost so much bp because of this it's frustrating.

For reference I can play about 20 games in a night and only 2 games will NOT have the error.

In fact outside of the PTB when I stream the game the majority of the stream each session a game ends with this error or the rank one.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

I think they are quite useless and will not be used.

The Offerings for Hatch and Basement would only really make sense to use when they are secret. I doubt they are Secret, because they are only Common. But if they are, they would be quite nice.

The Anti-Map Offering is...eh. You can still end up on a Map you dont want, just randomly. So why not burn a Map Offering (like Azarovs) on your own?

To be honest the offering that cancels map offerings feels like it should be an uncommon. How do we know other people will use a map offering? How can survivors discuss using map offerings without the possibility of a teammate griefing them now and using this offering for kicks?

Feels like it should be an uncommon killer offering. Mostly because how do you know survivors bring map offerings and why would survivors care? They cannot see the killer anyway until they get in game.

  • Going to disagree on Spirit. If you face a good Spirit you will never deceive them the majority of the time. Sure though let me slap on Spine Chill and Iron Will every game. I'm sure non spirit players love that and it doesn't tilt them because my build should be based on a killer I'm not going to be seeing every game.

Fair points on the other two killers though (Deathslinger and Pyramid Head)

As someone whose played plenty of DS and PH keeping distance is the key to dealing with them but that could apply to every killer. Issue with Pyramid Head especially is if you're within a certain distance they almost certainly will get a hit off on you. They can keep faking out their power to make you try to juke so they can just walk up to you and if you don't juke they just commit because you're an easy target. That's the main issue with those two killers regardless of counterplay. It isn't fun to be on the other end of that and again this is an issue of having the right perks at the right time. Perks that apply to Spirit do not apply to Pyramid Head or Deathslinger at least not entirely. Both killers need a cooldown on cancelling their ability or some restriction. Nothing too hard but I shouldn't be able to spam aim down sights as Deathslinger 3 times within a second for example. Quick scoping however is fun on both ends imo and that shouldn't be touched but again my bias.

  • @TeabaggingGhostface said:

They do it to avoid franklins and lightborn

Which is why survivors shouldn't be able to switch after a certain time. There's a reason these perks are still bad is because they could either have high impact or literally zero impact in the game. Too inconsistent and unreliable to always have equipped because it needs to be based around the survivors loadout.

I'll asume you are new to nurse or just still learn her ;D. Multiple floor maps are actually the best maps for the nurse. Thats why the game is the best map for her. In my opinion Silent Hill is the new best map, there is only one compromise which makes that map not as good as the game for nurse. These deadzones are literally everywhere, you are not the only one who has that problem, EVERYONE who plays nurse has them. Also because of some buggy deadzones you can get blinked into the basement, it can get really annoying. I mean OF COURSE BHVR when I do a fully charged blink and look straight up I totally intend to go to the basement.

No literally every map BHVR adds there is at least 3 dead zones where you blink through the floor it's actually tilting. I remember when Gideon Meat Plant had a full 2 rooms that were essentially dead zones for a while. I'm referring to where you actually get stuck inside of objects or outside the map. That ######### is frustrating.

Most maps I have zero issues 4k'ing without addons it's literally just a handful of maps that hinder me not because it's even a big map but because I get stuck inside of a wall or something.

I am however referencing the basement thing you mentioned near the end. On occasion I shouldn't arrive at the basement or I try to blink out of the basement and can do the same thing 3 times in a row and on occasion I'm just in there or can't get out. This is why on some maps I'll just blink towards the basement area and skirt around it to be safe because I don't want to risk that one time where I lost 10-20 seconds in a chase because I entered Bubba's Basement at the wrong time.

  • I'm fine with basekit Nurse but wouldn't complain if her blink had a few quality of life changes.

Main problem I have with her is maps with a lot of dead zones or multiple floors. The new school is so frustrating to play on because I've had instances where I've blinked below the map and that's specifically has cost me the game. I can get back up but by the time I do they're gone and I've lost momentum on such a massive map. Main thing with Nurse is blinking between multiple floors is frustrating especially out of the basement sometimes. If they could somehow find a perfect compromise for that I would give a ######### less about the addons personally. Granted I don't use them but that's my biggest annoyance as a Nurse picker. Multi floor maps and dead zones usually on newer maps.

  • If we're going the route where you get 2 free anti-tunnels but things disable it to prevent it from being abused realistically you need to make it so protection hits disable the perk too.

Begrudgingly I'd say leave the perk where it is right now and just make it so that there is an obsession in every single game no matter what perk is present. Make obsession play a bigger role in the game aside from just perks.

  • Make his power more engaging for both ends so that it isn't just Killer Chase survivor 2.0. This is also the issue I have with Wraith's power because cloak is cool and all but outside of that it doesn't do anything for him unless he's using super strong addons most of the time.

Being able to injure multiple people should be a bonus part of his power not the main part of it. There's a reason Leatherface's power was used for camping that was the main use for it before his buffs. At least he's passable now.

Legion should get a full on rework. Speed should still be his gimmick but the idea of love tapping people back and fourth is dumb. I still say the people who pushed for HIS POWER to have a penalty for missing a stab using Feral Frenzy is why he's so unfun and garbage right now. You want to know what this caused? People to just walk right behind you breathing down your neck to hit you just like what Bubba needed to do to get off a single chainsaw hit. All because people thought there should be a massive penalty. Absolutely ruined his power and made it unfun and boring for everyone.

"Give them a reason to leave the hook" Bruh I was literally working on a generator RIGHT ABOVE THE BASEMENT. If they are camping, they aren't leaving. It's not like I can wave a cookie in their face and say "Come on buddy, you waaaant it?"

Seeing the specific survivor die is currently more enticing than anything else in the game. There's the problem.

If a killer is bored or not having fun they're probably going to take their previous frustrations from a bad game out on other players in a new game. If they keep doing it that is telling enough to say the normal gameplay loop isn't exciting or fun for them or they had a bad experience.

Like I said they need more motivation to leave hook in these cases. I'll say go even as far as let's say a player (Both sides) is on a loss streak. Give them a chance to get bonus BP for coming out on top and over performing compared to their last games.

Perhaps add more exciting objectives or more dynamic functions to the map each time.

The basement in itself is admittedly an issue and in my opinion should be updated to be more interesting. Two entrances to the basement for starters would be ideal so the killer cannot just watch one vantage point. The basement is such an outdated part of the game it needs to be what is essentially an expansion of The Entity's domain and a more menacing lair for the killer but also big and expansive. Not small and cramped where Leatherface or other camping killers thrive.

But to tl;dr that last paragraph

    • Basement needs to be bigger or have two entrances so it isn't easy to camp
    • Basement however needs a reason to be used by killers because right now if it is really deemed an issue the main reason to basement hook is to camp. There should be other reasons to hook in the basement.

The not so tl;dr answer on the basement though.

Is there really an effective way to use the basement where you don't end up doubling back or preventing the survivor from getting unhooked? If you're not doing that you're wasting time navigating through the building the basement is usually at and down the stairs. With the timeloss you experience from basement hooks it's pretty much only worth it if you plan to secure that kill. Killer doesn't have enough time most of the time to just basement hook. Those precious seconds matter and thus I see that as the issue. If anything basement is still there because old sabo and that's about it.

  • Bubba isn't the issue here the hooks are. Every killer can hook camp and plenty can ensure you die first hook. Yeah Bubba has this problem too but it isn't exclusive to him. Need to give a reason for him to leave hook. He already had his update though so we can't exactly suggest ability buffs or a new ability to entice him to leave.

  • Ace main representing my main man Mr. Visconti here.

Want to show the team you have a sense of style? Want to be chased the moment a pixel of your survivor is shown on the killers screen? Maybe show that Dwight a good time at Suffocation Pit? Say no more I got you.

    DeadByDaylight-Win64-Shipping_2020-08-14_23-34-39.png

With this look you'll impress the men, women and staff at BHVR working overnight fixing error code 111 112. Don't be fooled there is no other look for Ace. This is the look.

  • Doctor is passable now but good survivors beat him each time unless they get bad RNG with pallets which is rare. Most people who can't deal with Doctor are older players who treat him like old Doctor. Same with how people getting dumpstered by Leatherface now are treating him like old Leatherface and not new one.

  • I'd prefer Mr. X personally. Although unlikely but what would be cool af is they get Daniel to be a "Mastermind" controlling Mr. X while BM'ing the survivors as he controlled him throughout the trial. Considering Resistance exist though yeah unlikely in all regards.

Daniel is the mastermind that controls him in Resistance to clarify. Such a gem of a character honestly.

  • What if Clown worked off a charge system for bottles that replenished over time instead of needing to be reloaded? Main issue with Clown is the reloading is just too much of a hindrance to him and causes him to lose map pressure. Personally the reload animation is cool but at this point I'd prefer a charge system for bottles and give him a second ability even if minor.

I'd agree with a Pig rework also but in my opinion Pig should receive a Freddy sized rework because in my opinion the current power doesn't do the franchise as much justice as it could. However those are the last two killers I see as needing full on reworks. Maybe Legion and Plague but mostly because their powers are boring.

  • Interesting character but I only play Ace and see no reason to switch survivors.

Everyone else only plays Meg or Claudette anyway because pretty girl with pretty cosmetics or because built in camo character.

Characters won't really be interesting to switch to unless they receive something like voice acting or something else that makes them pop. A backstory isn't enough for most people. Either need abilities or unique dialogue.

Still disappointed Ash doesn't talk while in trial.

To clarify though I do like her story and appearance but I don't feel the need to switch to her. For me I like Ace's looks, story and audio so that suits me. Still wish all survivors had VA'ing though.

He is definitely loud. But he just makes me laugh so much. I find the noises he makes hilarious. I don’t have a problem with having to loop killers so his size and sound have never bothered me. This is the same reason I also play Jeff a lot.

My mains are Meg and David but I go through phases of wanting to play every character. I’ve got 90% of the roster at P3. My eventual goal is to have them all P3. But I can see why most people don’t bother. I think it’s mostly an OCD thing with me. 😂

Yeah that's perfectly fair. I'd personally feel different if each survivor had their own abilities. Right now I pretty much max all my killers to P3 Level 50 but I only P3 Level 50'd David And Ace. Ash is the next one I'll probably do that too but that's about it. Maybe Cheryl or any Resident Evil crossover characters if it happens but that's about it.

  • @TheLastGreatStar said:

I would definitely love more cosmetics for Ash. He’s one of my favourites and it sucks that you rarely see survivors playing as him. I’m not sure why, as he’s such a cool dude. But maybe I’m biased as I’m an Evil Dead fan? 😂

I know it was probably down to licensing but not having a cabin map was such an oversight. That’s one of the most iconic horror movie settings. I know we have Red Forest, but it’s not the same.

I think he's the largest survivor and he's also one of the loudest. You pretty much only see people who are good at running play him and to be honest there's not many of those players who are cocky and good enough to do that all game as Ash.

If I P3 Level 50 another survivor it's probably going to be Ash. Right now it's Ace and the main thing is as a killer player primarily it's really not worth leveling up survivors past 40 or even multiple survivors. Absolutely no point unless you want bloody clothes. I'd imagine most people just stuck with their mains instead of switching to Ash. That's at least how I know I am. If I didn't max out Ace I definitely would have Ash.

  • The only thing I wanted with the Ash paragraph was a Cabin map. We could have had a lot of cool things with the Cabin being featured in a spooky forest. Maybe include the tree somehow and the bridge along with expanding the basement a little and have the shed with the chainsaw. A lot of wasted potential I feel like but that's all I wanted. I wouldn't mind a killer but an Evil Dead map with all the cameos would have been so ######### cool.

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

You mean run DS on all ranks instead of something useless like selfcare, cause killers play in 9/10 games like a jerk?

Most maps and survivor perks and items don't allow killers to play nice unless they're using super high tier stuff all the time and survivors make a lot of mistakes. One instance where you find a survivor two times in a row and think "Maybe I should be nice and let them go" can actually cost you the game. You need constant momentum if survivors know what they're doing. A lot of these perks encourage killer players to play like jerks.

if I see an obsession they're going to eat dirt for 60 seconds while I slug other survivors. Not worth the stress of falling behind and playing catch up just because of one perk. If I have a chance I'll even immediately tunnel off hook just to proc DS early. That's how much of a nuisance it is.

  • @EuphoricBliss35 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1526882#Comment_1526882

Depends. Nobody’s going to send someone to a cage for the first hook. 2nd gives you the most value (negate BT/DS/etc). I don’t think PH needs a sound/visual notification after someone is freed from a cage. To me that would be a fair trade off: I don’t know where you are and a couple of perks might not proc. More fair at least. He’s too easy to punish people imo (har har I know his name, but in Silent Hill he’s more a representation of his psyche than anything else)

Yeah I'd agree remove the sound notification it makes tunneling too easy. PH already has enough going for him mind you I pretty much play nothing but PH and Nurse atm. Both killers pretty much share the same weaknesses to an extent and not too many survivors realize this.

  • @ Antares2332 said:

No, that is the function of the cages. To counter some perks. The devs have already fixed this issue, removing the auras from the cages for the killer.

tbh the issue is still there. The relocating thing actually helps killer half the time. The issue right now is the spawning location is too obvious because it's almost directly on the other side of the map of the killer who can just b-line it there. Since there is limited spawn locations the killer can usually hone in on the survivor really quickly. However another survivor going to uncage meets the killer there but regardless the killer can stand near the cage to move them on the opposite side of the map. So now survivors have to travel to that side wasting even more time. Although with this they are now engaged in a chase with the killer who can now hit the survivor without worrying about them saving before the second hit lands.

The fix should have been removal of auras and uncage at any rotation. The teleporting cage only helps killer in most situations because you can abuse it to waste survivors time.

If the relocation thing stays there needs to be a lot more locations for survivor to teleport to.

I don't keep spreadsheets, but its not that difficult to find the name recognition on a global scale if you narrow down the results. This comparison is between Sam and Dean, Candyman, and FNAF. Note Its weighted AGAINST sam and dean and the supernatural franchise as I did not just throw in Supernatural as in the show's IP, cause it would be stupid and unfair. https://trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=today%205-y&q=Sam%20and%20Dean,Candyman%20Movie,Five%20Nights%20at%20Freddy%27s

I meant regarding your entire ranking system but assume that chart can be edited to include those. Is the search queries listed on this just about DBD or just in general? Because if it's just in general then yeah of course the show is going to be ranked higher in results.

What I'm referring to is actual community members engaging in conversation about said topics whether it be like on the media a forum and such. But hey fair is fair you provided a source.

Literally anywhere that dbd has a presence, there are people asking for supernatural in dbd. Reddit, Discord, these forums, and even Twitter. Although you may not personally like Sam and Dean, there are a ton of dbd fans that do

Not a dislike just surprised. Although if OP has a spreadsheet with sources it's more of a curiosity in wanting to see it rather than disproving.

Only one I legit don't want in this game is Chucky because I don't want to deal with the idea of a manlet that I can punt across the map as a survivor is chasing me or me chasing a survivor as Chucky and mind gaming myself because I can't see #########.

  • We all know the only way you remove camping is make it so unappealing for the killer at the time it would be an option that literally anything else seems better. Not by penalizing them but by providing better options. However I'll get into why I have personally camped survivors or why I might see it perceived as camping.

If you are annoying to find (Ex - Obvious Spine Chill user) I'm going to tunnel and camp you to death. I legit hate survivors who use this perk even when I play survivor. They're so useless they're always hiding all the time getting teammates killed. I have a bias against them and for the most part I can usually tell when a player has it equipped based on how they play.

Someone is running me around hook - Sorry but I'm not camping your teammate is just bad or stupid

Former toxic player I recognize who sandbags or griefs - Rare instances I'll encounter them but I'm not going to let these people ruin the other 3 survivors games even if they don't know about the behavior this player getting camped has.

Gates are open - If there are two survivors left and one is on the hook to be honest I'm just going to accept the killers I got. Not worth risking leaving the hook only to lose both players but that depends on what killer I am.

Also on the note of camping - The Pyramid Head cages moving was stupid because it actually helps the killer. If you get there before the survivor you can stay a certain distance from the cage and when the survivor is near just get close to the cage. It moves the cage and most of the time a survivor won't be able to reach the second location in time before they go to the next phase or die. I've done this by accident so many times where it's netted me a kill. The cage just needs to be able to rotate somehow because right now the moving cage helps the killer. It's super obvious it just goes to the other side of the map away from you so you can legit just b-line it to that area. Cages need more random spots to spawn in so they're not obvious.

So tl;dr - No, camping is mostly to get stuff done. Tunneling however is a different topic. Sometimes you need to tunnel the weaker link to relieve pressure.

Its not based on forum posts alone, its based on google analytics mostly, trends, and name recognition. Sam and Dean are S tier because their google analytics are insane on top of having a significant fan base in this game. And its not just based on the United States, there are a lot of international players who have no idea who the hell Candyman is. (Because for whatever reason his movies on an international level are kinda sloppy.) That'll likely change after Jordan Peele releases his movie on the IP bringing it back up again, but as it stands right now its got more favor in the community than IRL clout. (Which for the sake of the IP I hope changes because it would suck if that movie flopped). I explained the FNAF stuff as its also got an equal portion of negative feedback regarding adding it in.

Need a source on it tbh.

Regarding Candyman he's my bias but I don't see him being the most sought after from the community. Legit never seen Sam and Dean mentioned outside of this forum and I browse a lot of places so that's why I'm more so surprised so I'd like to see some source to that.

The most Anticipated Licensed chapters in DBD.

S: Sam and Dean Survivors, Pinhead from Hellraiser, Pennywise, Xenomorphs, Chucky, The Grudge.

A: Survivor Skins Scooby Doo Gang, The Ring, Candyman, Leviathan via Supernatural, Mr X., Nemesis, The Nun,

B: Wendigo Until Dawn, SlenderMan, The Man with Fire in his Face (Insidious), Gremlins(if they could work out how to make a small killer or small group of killers work), I know what you did Last Summer, Mary Shaw Dead Silence, Mama, Pumpkin Head, The Tall Man (Phantasm)

C: Critters (Again an engineering feat),The Blob, The Fly, The Thing, The Leprechaun, Five Nights at Freddys, Various SCP based monsters maps and skins (giant swathe of content hard to narrow down 1 for a pic)

D: Nightbreed (incredibly niche), Maniac Cop, CHUD (some foreign movie?), John Trent Survivor, Killer Clowns from Outer Space

What did I miss that isn't tangled in Legal battles or a child molestation case? Will be updating list to include EVERYTHING ANTICIPATED BY THE COMMUNITY!

How are Sam and Dean S tier. I've only seen a handful of people request those compared to Xeno, Pennywise and Candyman. I've legit seen more FNAF request than I have most of these.

Unless it's your own personal preference then fair enough. Most highly requested I see is Xeno though followed by Slenderman, FNAF and Chucky. Candyman is up there and that's my bias is for him to be added. Quite against Chucky for a numerous amount of reasons though.

If we talk video games I'd be down for Mr. X from Resident Evil or an SCP themed paragraph even if the SCP stuff was just cosmetics and a map.

Hello I have a question about Discordance since the level 1 perk is kinda more powerful than the level 3 one, shouldn't it be the otherway around?

    For Example

Discordance Level 1 = Send a notification when 2 survivors are working on a gen every 8 seconds

Discordance Level 3 = Send a notification when 2 survivors are working on a gen every 12 seconds.

    Swap them around so ...

Discordance Level 3 would be = Send a notifcation when 2 survivors are working on a gen every 8 seconds.

Or in general rework the perk somehow because right now its hard to see a level 1 perk is more powerful than the level 3 one.

Yes please it annoys me to no end that Discordance T2 is always on my bloodweb because that's the most optimal way to use the perk.

Fix this already how difficult can it be. Swap the numbers first and if needed rework it later down the line but good god this seems so silly leaving it as it is for so long. I get it's not a HIGH PRIORITY issue but how hard can it really be to address.

Discordance shouldn't even have levels, I think it's a perfect example that leveling perks is a bad mechanic. Also, it is stressful to have to go up to level 3 one perk, spending a lot of points on the bloodweb.

I keep saying that levels on perks need to go. Levels is why some perks have stupid stats tacked onto them. BHVR always wants a perk to have something to scale off of. It's why NOED has movement speed and Lightborn has the auras thing tacked on. We could have cool unique perks if tiers didn't exist but they want their bloodpoints economy to be a thing.
