So I'm beginning to sink BP into PH because 1. I love him and 2. I don't actually need any other reasons so I'll just cut to the chase: I need help creating a beginner build for learning him as well as maybe a build to work into once I get better as him.
The worst part currently is that I'm still leveling him up and trying to get the good perks I have on my main killers but you know how that goes, I'm just not getting the perks I actually want RIP but regardless this is what I'm working with currently:
Trail of Torment / BBQ / Corrupt Intervention / Sloppy Butcher
I've actually gotten some hilarious and clutch use out of ToT but I do intend on replacing it eventually (Probably with Tinkerer), though I wouldn't mind meming perhaps with Pop + ToT. BBQ is for BP but then I run into that awkward thing where I'm like wait, do I cage or hook? I don't get the stacks if I cage lol
Corrupt is my only slowdown which is painful but I do love Corrupt. And Sloppy is there because I genuinely have nothing better at level 31 lol
But what would more experienced killers (Preferably any PH mains) recommend? Is it a bad idea to run things like Pop that incentivize hooking survivors then going and kicking gens? Or really just any perk in general that is centered around hooks. I forgot just how complex he is and it's making theory crafting and creating a build to work towards very difficult lol
Also does anyone know any well known PH players? I like watching other people play to see how it's done.
I best build ive found for him is Discordance, pop, ruin, and lethal pursuer. This buils manly focuses on gen defence and early game downs since PH can struggle with both.
Pop goes the weasel helps in case ruin gets destroyed however you could switch it out dor undying.
With this build you want to be hooking someone then caging them quickly after to really quickly burn through their hook states.

When played well with the right mind set oni can be one of the strongest killers in dbd

Scarily enough, 8 people voted up for the OP.
They want the meta nerfed but dont realise why its meta to begin with

Irritating on strong killers
Fine on weak killers
Makes me concerned they're going to end up nerfing blight instead of this combo, I'll be unimpressed if that happens
Just play blight on swamp. You'll feel nerfed then

To me it just seems like another Scott youtube vid made to stir up the other side.
Personally i like Scott but these videos do nothing other than make people bicker

On series X the game runs perfectly

Now I'm not talking going head-over-heels for Survivors and using every moment as a chance to help them, but just show some friendliness where you see a scenario ripe for the picking. Just last game as Ghostface I had someone getting me to force-hook them (which I prefer over them DCing) and then I had two of their teammates down only about a minute and a half later after I stalked them both on shack gen... so I closed hatch (didn't want to have the game ending super quickly), messed around a bit, and then committed to the usual non-stalk chase. After downing them, I didn't hook them. As you may have suspected, I carried them halfway across the map to a gate. They stopped wiggling once I walked straight past two hooks, and then I let 'em get the gate.
Now, I know plenty of us do this already, but you're not sacrificing much by letting a person go or not always playing for kills. I literally spent five minutes of that game just messing around. That's what some people need to get; this is a game, and you should have fun. Now whether or not you classify being nice to Survivors as linked to that fun or detrimental to it, you cannot deny that having nice Survivors makes you happy when you get them. So, just return the favour every once and a while if you don't already.
It isn't too hard to ask. Majority of us do play for fun, after all.
Also, I can see these comments igniting with loathing for my cause and just otherwise brimming with non-related discussions, so, please, as per the forums rules... keep it civil and respectful. I appreciate it. :)
I try but as soon as i do be nice survivors become toxic and annoying.

I've played one game as him on Lery's and I 3kd. But I still didn't do all that great so I'm still trying to figure out the obstacles that I should bounce off of for the rush.
Walls are almost always fine. But small objects like chairs barells and benches are super slippery

My favourite is when I play him and get Temple of Purgation. You. Slide. Off. Everything.
Yeah the fact that they haven't fixed him after 2 tries is staggering
-
People act like this build gives you ez 4ks when thats simply not the case. Blight is extremely difficult sometimes and very frustrating it requires a decent amount of skill to use him effectively

I honestly think they just can’t fix the many issues without rewriting the code from the ground up. There just so much wrong with the current code, every time they add new features to the game, the game breaks. The last chapter is proof of it.
Somebody go back in time, invest in Apple and Bitcoin, become rich and purchase Behaviour and force them to rewrite the game. Also please take me with you so I can be rich and have ten cats .
Why ten?

You say you hate dbd yet you seem very passionate about it.

Corrupt and Lethal Pursuer are pretty good to help with his early game.
Yeah they really do help. Getting the first hit is an Oni's top priority.
-
Oni 100% is very underrated. In fact I've considered him for a long time to be the 4th best killer in the game when used correctly. There's very few games where ive had a 4 or even 3 escapes when using him even with SBMM on.
The only issue he has is early game this is his weakest point in the game. Usually you want to get a hit and leave if the survivor is good.

He's a killer who is powerful when played well. If you play him on an off day prepare for pain. But otherwise he's definitely worth learning

Actually, by the last statistics we got, I believe he was the 2nd or 3rd worst performing killer. Food for thought.
Probably because he's hard to use. I love using him he's definitely top 3 if you play him well

Whenever i see someone complain about the frequency of chapters i just roll my eyes. You do realise that BHVR is a company right?

If the killer is good it will pretty much be a guaranteed win since there will only be one survivor on a gen most the time
If its solo que yes

I always see this on Trickster threads and you really can say that about every killer in the game. Yeah you know uhhh Spirit and Oni are you trying to appeal to weebs that like japanese culture, Oni isnt even scary ugh, have you seen that school girl cosmetic for Spirit? Cringe. Yeah you know uhhh Deathslinger is only trying to appeal to FPS gamers ugh, a gun? Real killers use knives. Yeah uhhh there's people that think clowns and doctors are scary, when they only look dumb, what are you doing BHVR.
Nothing about this game is scary anymore, really the scariest thing is the survivors, and that's fine. There's silly cosmetics, silly killers and that just makes the game more fun, because if you are playing DBD looking to get scared, you'll be dissapointed. Trickster is fun to use and brings a whole new vibe to the game, he's meant to represent real life psychopaths and he is a lot scarier than half of the killers just because how hard it is to survive on a short wall loop. He has a place on this game.
Trickster doesnt scare me. Nor do most of the killers. Plus i pretty sure clown already feels the "this killer is closer to reality" personally Trickster is one of those killers thay clearly didn't have any thought put into anything but his design which is lead to his power sucking. And thats the main issue when a killers power plays awfully he really does just seem like the devs went "hmmm whats popular? KPOP!"

I do hope so

Tbh not a fan of Hellraiser but I would love to see a Chatterer Skin.
Some reason prefer Chatterer then Pin head which I don't know why.
Same chatterer is just far scarier to me

I'm not saying they shouldn't be a skin, I was just trying to say that I think they have the most interesting backstory that's been scrapped and buried. I would have love to know more about them and everyone else
Oooh my apologies for misunderstanding. Yeah Chatterers backstory is pretty messed when you think about it. Sadly he doesnt get much development
-
SBMM has no place in dbd or any game. I dont want to sweat every game with my favourite killer

Oh. In the second movie when they died they reverted back to being a child
Yeah i know. I dont see how that makes a difference to be honest. The chatterer in cenobite form clearly isn't a child

do you care for spoilers? Have you seen the second film?
I mean i know the chatterer was originally a child but like so was everyone....plus they revert to the human form they were before they turned. Hence why chatterer is a adult when he's well chattering

I mean not really, there are a lot more things that suck for killers so i disagree. Plus most problems survivors have cn be fixed with items or perks
Perks arent fixes they're bandaids. I doesn't matter if something else sucks for killers if you nerf gens then survivor games become extremely boring. Gen speeds aren't the cause of the problem they are a symptom
-
Slowing gens would suck for survivors personally i think they should add a better default kick or a second objective.
-
Yeah i think nerfing the fang addon a bit and increasing how hard it is to break the chains will push him into a perfect realm for me

1 bad survivor can easily lead to a loss
Depends on the rest of the teams skill. Ive easily 3v1d a killer before
-
My guess is that it will be chatterer i mean hes the coolest Cenobite other than pinhead sooooo

Never laughed at a post this hard before. Youd be great at those gag reviews and gag news sites
-
Well for one its only the mask that is licensed not the film. Which is why ghost face has a different back story to the film characters. Also fun fact this could mean that ghost face is the only licensed killer who is cannon
-
Its dbd he will be compared to another killer now matter what the devs do.
