  • You can realistically (with no party buffs like streamers or envelpes, etc) make 50-70k as a survivor and 75-120k as a killer.

Obviously using bbq or wglf and self buffs to bp like chili and what not.

There are also perks like distressing and prove thyself that offer minor bonuses as well.

I think you are misinformed about how to farm BPs efficiently.

hello everyone, i am a new player i got dbd about 3 weeks ago and i am just wondering how people think this game is survivor sided? killer seems way easier and way stronger than survivors

its not a 1v1 its a 1v4. killer 100% needs to be considerably stronger. the balancing has gone back and forth, but we are in a better place now than we have been in a while. The team balances for more casual players, if they balanced for competitive/tournament level players..... the killers would need even more help. Look at competitive dbd and you will see that it is rare the killer gets a 4K. It is also general concensus that getting a 3k+hatch escape, 4k, or variations are considered "wins" but you can get a 4k and get brutal killer if you play scummy and camp/slug early on. It is hard to say what a "win" is for killer as opposed to survivor, where you escape, or you dont.

Basically it comes down to the 1v4, while this isnt all scenarios, since there is voice comms and things like that... the killer generally has a lot more pressure on them to dictate the pace of the game and small mistakes by them can spell the end of the game, where survivors can carry each other's mistakes in most circumstances, considering skill is equal among all 5 players.

    iron will, resilence,wglf,adrenalin/bt

I get the wglf .... but resilience +iron will is kinda overkill. if you walk faster... to get away... you still leave blood. Iron will is best when going for saves or sprinting+ducking killers... imo. I like these perks. I just usually go either/or with iron will and resilience and add bt or unbreakable..... or even hope and well make it since you will be boosting off unhooking.

I'm mixing up which survivor I play as by looking at the survivor standing next to me in the lobby and choosing the survivor after theirs in the character roster. Then I go through my items and addons inventory to equip the item I have the most of.

I then get chased off any gen I touch, the killer drops chase with injured survivors to chase me (healthy) for as long as it takes to down me, stays near my hook, and immediately returns to my hook to tunnel. While this can happen naturally and for no reason, it seems to happen more often when I change characters and equip items.

I dont even pay attention to lobbies 9/10 times the loading screen is so long I am doing other things. Who cares...

Why were they only valid for 24 hours?

they always have time limits on codes... some less than 24 hours. 24 hours is plenty of time for most people if you watched the stream... if not... you cant realllly complain about it..... I think it is more than good enough that they allowed it to be typed in even after the stream was over.... as it was a bonus for watching. ALSO it was only 250k bps, you can make that in 2 matches or 3

If we can +2 our rank, by doing everything good,

Why cant we -2 our rank if we are terrible. Ranking is way too easy anyway. 30 day is a lot to wait to derank a bit, so some of us can enjoy the game for a few matches without tryharding.

a LOT of survivors are high ranked, while they are bad. if i play with 2 or more random, i often see they insta run to unhook, not doing gens, etc... pain... on high ranks!!!

Let them derank more if they dont know what to do or die too early.

The rank system is not a competitive rank system. it was just their best attempts at helping put people with (on average) more players around their skill level.

There are also huntress with iri that will slug you all game if they hit you first.... so that can be a -2 for no real reason... Any killer can do this.... -2 is a really bad idea. Instead just have fun with the game. The ranks arent competitive.... and you can ignore them for hte most part.... its mostly to protect newer players from being put with 3000+ hour killers or teammates who may get frustrated with them. I repeat...... its not a real ranking system and the pips themselves are kind of silly. they just encourage "healthy gameplay" so people dont face camp hooks like they used to as much..... It is an entirely casual mode, no matter what you want the rank system to be. just dont worry about the colors or numbers and you will have a lot more fun.

I've been asking too many killer questions lately. So why not a survivor one for once? My answer to this question is... Jeff Johansson. What about you? Name that survivor - if you DO remember correctly.

Deeeby dwight and then Jake. I have prob 1200 hours on jake... because no one plays jake... and I love his retro glasses.

YOU CAN LIKE THE PERK, YET

Self Care is a selfish perk that wastes so much time. Why go with Self Care with better options. Bond is a great to get healed by teammates, or just bring a medkit. Inner Strength is efficient with your time as well. You can like the perk, but it is a massive waste of time.

I can't believe I can be doing a gen that is about to pop and the Claud runs past me and I even emote for her attention, yet she still passes me and self cares. Behind some tires.

We did not finish that gen...We all died

I think this is just a case of you worrying too much. I dont mean to sound dismissive, but people play how they want to and this post wont change their minds. People rock self care for old tome challenges, or because they are less confident survivors. Most, if not all, veteran players do not run self care. We understand that time efficiency is more important on gens (especially early on) than it is on healing. Also, allowing other players to heal you is always faster than self-care. Do not worry about it, just have fun doing your own thing. You will get better players or you can look for better players. You can dm me or post in forums and find swf players

remember that people are very casual and can get to red ranks..... especially when ranks dont reset .... also do not look at ranks as how good a person is, as if they play a decent amount they will get to high ranks.... they are just to make you have a sense of progression, while dbd is a very casual game and outside of tournaments, not a competitive scene, so expecting a rank one to be better than a rank 10 is very likely to be the case, however all rank ones or red ranks are not equal. Someone with 3000 hours and someone with 200 hours can both be red ranks, easily. and one SHOULD have more knowledge of the game.

Also, some people have a lot of time and dont care to min/max. They just want to play. It is very easy to not lose rank if you are semi decent at the game, so youre not really negatively impacted, other than you can laugh at someone doing silly things. The point is to have fun, not be super sweaty every second, and people enjoy the game differently. I have gotten 20-25k consistently when teammates hook dive, hide, and urban evasion in corners all game.

It is not uncommon to see urban evasion, self care, spine chill, etc players that dont reaalllly know how to play the game or that play it with less "skill" than others.... but the game is what it is, just like diff killers have diff playstyles .... so do diff survivors.

  • I see that you announced it for mobile only during pride month with specific dates. It would be awesome if you did that for All platforms. I cant imagine it would do anything but boost the amount of people playing.

  • It is, but where I work, it pays off in the end more than double.... I do it for the family more than me and I can usually just listen to podcasts or things. Let my kids grow up away from city life and enjoy nature :)

  • In case I was not clear, I only mean the timeframe which there will be double bloodpoints awarded for participating in trials, not the actual events, those are announced with plenty of time, in most major cases.

  • I will add you when I get home. I am also lookng for the same as you. only about 1500 hours but always red both sides.

  • kind of a harsh criticism when you know they were at reduced staff and efficiency (as most places were).

Are you guys having fun with the new no stun bug?

How often are you guys instantly getting tunneled or camped?.

How often do you guys win now?.

    Are killers playing more "rude"?.

Are you running into more slugging builds than before?.

How often do you actually use DS?

    Now:

My own experience playing survivor since the all kill patch in case you are wondering.

    1. This bug needs to be fixed asap since it makes weak pallets weaker and strong pallets weaker.

    2. Out of 10 matches today I got facecamped 7 and instantly tunneled all matches when there was no obsession even if the unhooker was injured.

    3. Not as often anymore.

    4. Been noticing that killers have been more rude but I don't really mind that.

5.in fact yes, I'm starting to see more sluggers than before.

    6. I don't get value so I don't use it at all, I have been using more obsession perks though.

This is a legit question from a killer main to survivor mains.

Tunneling leads to more losses for a killer than wins. If you are the unlucky one, just chill, breathe, do your best, and hope your team pulls it out. There is always next game. There are some survivors that are great loopers, this can torture the killer just the same.

Slugging is what has to happen to get a 4k (if that is what someone considers a win) in some higher ranked matches. Gen rushing is very strong and there is no other way to super slow it down. It is what it is. there are perks to balance this a bit if you find it happens to you often.

The game was meant to have 4 solo players vs one killer so there would be less coordination. That is not the state of it anymore and they have chose to adapt the game as they did. Its not toxic to slug or tunnel and its not toxic to gen rush. One of the neat things about the game is you kind of decide what your win conditions are "pipping" can be a win condition for you, as it helps you rank up, but if you mean all 4 have to survive each time, how unbalanced would the game have to be to allow that?

  • The title of this thread is toxic by nature. People complain to much, on both sides, and miss the enjoyment of a game. Saying they are "crying" and thinking that 4 adept players VS one is balanced is pretty petty. It is tough to balance, bhvr is what it is and what it has been since the beginning. Just have fun and try not to BM people so much; build the community or chill.

  • You know dang well the devs are already working on new ideas for cash grabs and a new game. There have been tons of bugs and the game doesnt hold water for long. which is why I have played off and on since the beginning, keys are terrible. You should have to have a minimum of 2 players with a key to unlock a hatch and it should only work if A) 3 others are dead or B) all generators are done AND the killer can see the hatch.

It is already incredibly imbalanced to have 4 adept players VS one. you cant really balance for that, so you have to accept that you cant always 4k and that is hard for most players. Mostly because of the toxic survivors in the lobby or in the game with a SWF that you have clearly been bested in. The devs cannot correct for toxic player base with buffs or nerfs, that is a slippery slope.

This game has been incredibly buggy since the day it has come out. You just have to accept that when you play it. They are a decent company when it comes to themes and artwork (now) and they are pretty terrible when it comes to gameplay and coding. Their balance is what it is, it has ebbed and flowed, they are super behind the 8-ball with implementing things that are successful in other games (SWF lobbies), parties, balancing loops, perks, etc. It is what it is. The game is fun in context. there are worse games out there and there are much better games out there.

Bhvr is a smaller company with some developers that are out of their depth when it comes to expectations the community has. Dont make this into something it isnt, it is a ton of fun and has given life to many other asymetrical games (good and bad) and remains one of the best games in the horror genre. Its not perfect and at times its almost unplayable for some characters or against some items, but eventually it ebbs back and the game flows better. Just take it for what it is and appreciate the good aspects. It has been around long enough that the community knows and accepts what BHVR is and what you can expect from the game. Laugh, have fun, hook em, loop em, and appreciate the efforts!
