The power role, survivor
-
There is no reason to dc. If your gonna play survivor then expect killers to eliminate you in the best manner possible to themselves.
-
Against legion I find it boring; the power design removes all the pressure on chases and puts it solely on unfound survivors which need to be close by.
As legion I have a blast. Ignoring the hooks and continuously rotating survivors between stress free chases and my slug farm.
-
I don't like it equip any of the exhaustion perks when playing survivor. You improve a lot quicker when every choice needs to be right. You can also see the difference in skill when survivors that use them are caught on the cool down or is denied.
-
Most killers don't run it for the aura effect. It has such a high pick rate because most people are still grinding the blood web.
-
I find Self-care is overrated and unnecessary. unless the killer is visually making a lot of mistakes and you want to capitalize on bp, you're better off just working on the gen.
-
Treat every killer like they will 1 hook you and focus on your point gain. Let others grab the killers attention while you pip up.
-
Sounds like the killer was straight to business. With match making what it is, killer probably said screw it imma secure at least 1 this time
-
That's on the survivors for not waiting out the power. Totally on survivors for running around while you have demon speed. Funny how killers embody the power role when survivors ignore common sense.
-
Don't care either way, I just want some killers where the core power design isn't based on how a survivor can void the killer's effort.
-
That's just sad. I don't play huntress but the iri hatchets are the only time I have fun against her.
-
No killer is op and we have to much control as survivors. Balance heavily favors survivor as mistakes are far more a determent as killer. 1 simple error can cost the game, 1 error as survivor and at worst your camped out on 1st hook and the team push gens.
-
No gens should = no hatch or powered gates
-
Face camping is pointless, but slugging is fun. By slugging my survivors I can then pick one up and enjoy a stress free chase. Getting downed is either a misplay by the survivor or outplayed by me, they need to work harder on avoiding the killer's attention.
-
Top tier players aren't encountered all the time but we do need balancing at that level. Anybody can play like trash, but that's not something you can balance around. Most players will improve at least somewhat making balances at that level obsolete. Balancing for high level means mistakes will carry more weight early on but also better highlights areas in need of corrections.
-
Almost every killer released since Oni.
-
When every teabagger is laying face down and I can rotate them into worry free chases for my pleasure.
-
Yeah if the killer is locked on you it will be difficult, but still you can break chase without the killer giving up. Just because they want to tunnel a target doesn't mean they are gonna get them.
-
You just have to try and shake the killer. As great as holding the killer's attention is for the team, your not obligated to do it until your downed. Perk choice is a help but not even necessary to break a chase or evade the killer.
-
Have to disagree solo survivor is probably the best way to enjoy the game apart from a properly matched killer.
-
No, survivors just need to get better at avoiding the killer. If you feel the need to be sheltered from the only opposition, maybe play something solo with adjustable difficulty.
-
Game is suppose to be asymmetrical, so killer should have a clear advantage. Survivors should be able to escape but not 1v1 until all the objectives are done, that's busted balance.
-
Even without detection perks, a good survivor will be gone before demo arrives. Devs come up with some good ideas, then water them down for survivors.
-
Killer should be free to choose any target they want, just means you have to do better on your first interaction without banking on the idea that you'll have more chances.
-
The range is to large, I know a killer is coming before the TR even starts to play.
-
Fact is that we didn't need any of those things as survivors and can still loop killers for 5 gens. I feel for the killers, the 1v1 right now can demoralize inexperienced killers.
-
Good base kit design is hard to turn away especially in a more competitive setting. Unpredictable killers keep this game interesting, but nothing is free or handed to them.
-
Yep even spirit
-
Slugging is way more fun and grants better control over a match. With hooks it's just 3 chases and then survivors are done. With slugging I can have as many chases as I want, which also grants the survivors more chances.
-
Because "fun" killers struggle against competent survivors.
-
Skill is individually based, but pc does offer better control and maneuverability. The instant 180 running is much more difficult to pull off with a controller.
-
I miss the pressure they created beforehand. Now they are just pointless to play against.
-
That's why your first interaction is the most important. You can't expect more chances after failing to escape chases.
-
Definitely survivor sided. The game heavily penalizes killer mistakes over the ones survivors make.
-
Sadly the game is currently balanced around survivors exploiting killer mistakes and not the other way around.
-
Only the killer should be free to eliminate you. If you get caught, anything else is punishment for you mistakes.
-
You don't need to de-rank, just be a red rank survivor and you can face all the newbie killers you want.
-
Ds = you can die on the floor
Just as
Ooo = nobody needs to die more than you
-
It's real because I do it to killers. I have had games against good killers where the only interaction was with gens. Gen times are quick and loops are huge time wasters even if the survivor only holds forward and toss a pallet on the first pass.
-
It's to bad we don't have a ranking system which accurately reflects skill. Of course that wouldn't help unless we had matchmaking that didn't ignore it for time convenience.
-
I don't struggle and it saves me money on controllers.
-
Depends on your opponent. Survivor side I never need to farm. With killer it's a matter of how competent the survivors are. The faster the gens go, the longer I will use you for points when opportunity presents itself.
-
Yeah it's not a good situation for anyone but the slug.
-
Pallets and breaking line of sight are your best options to prevent bloodlust.
-
Definitely more survivors now. It doesn't matter what rank my killer is; first match of the night is always reds and purple rank survivors because of wait times.
-
Devotion level should at least bar you from newbie ranks. If you have multiple perks on several characters, then you don't need to be playing with people struggling to master the basics.
-
I have seen plenty of games where the killer gets hit with DS without tunneling and it's all because of the survivors are going down to quickly.
-
I have been playing survivor since the twins release and still haven't vs them yet. Guessing the twins aren't worth the time.
-
Had something like this happen a little before we got cross play (xbox). Had a dwight that was for sure faster than me. I thought it was strange and then he proved it by running straight through a box wall.
-
Surprisingly not, even if I die the solo experience just feels better than swf
