It would make sense if a lot of people were playing him to celebrate Halloween. Or if casual players came in and chose him because of his iconic Halloween horror status.
I've been playing Myers, but I always play Myers because I just enjoy staying in Tier 1 and remaining Undetectable all match.
Mhmm. :) Time to break out that carving knife and stare with malicious intent. :p
-
Special Officer Doofy skin for Ghostface from Scary Movie.
-
It depends on the group really.
Sometimes, I'll have a blast goofing around or getting drawn into a really thrilling match.
Sometimes I want to stuff those keys, maps, and toolboxes so far down their sweaty, taunting throats when they light up the after game messaging system that they won't be able to teabag again without penetrating themselves.
So yeah. Goes either way according to the people you get, much the same as anything else in life.
-
I won a match with a 4k as Myers against a SWF group.
We were on an awful wooded map with a two story lodge, and they'd thickened the fog. Couldn't find anyone until the first two gens were done, and what I did find was a too cocky blendette that outplayed the living heck outta me for another gen before I could even reach stage 2 and got lucky with a lunge.
At this point, I'd resigned myself to a loss. Chased her all over the map, passed the hatch, and only had one down, so I start taking her to a hill next the lodge for what i thought would be my only hook, only to find the rest of the squad springing into action trying to block me in while teabagging, emoting all over, the usual.
Long story short, Tier 3 saved the day. They kept unhooking in front of me and trying to block me in, while the others ran up to second story of the shed to heal and emote at me from the balcony. I finally had enough and insta-downed two as they blocked and blendy dc'd when she got whacked as she unhooked herself and the last guy vanished. I sprinted for the hatch, barely shut it before he got it, wacked them once and spend the rest of the countdown getting messaged by his pals and him. Finally caught up to him on a gate and won.
Those messages? Not healthy in the least. The guy was really salty about what he saw as camping with an OP killer, nevermind what they did. He spent a day and a half trying to get me into different party chats to spew bile on the mic until I had enough and just turned messages off completley.
So yeah, worst thing I ever did was think interacting with the community had been overexagerated. Second was win a game.
-
Nope.
-
I hear it gets better eventually. T_T There are stories of the promised matches...of an MMR just and fair, where killers and survivors grow and learn together with no one being utterly outclassed and humiliated...

It'd be perfect for a Chucky power.
- His entire "goal" in the movies is to steal a human body. If you give him such a capability as a kind of end-game for his power, giving him the strength of a killer with the agility of a survivor, that'd do the trick.
- The biggest problem with Chucky is that animations with his tiny body would be weird, particularly carrying and hooking. If his power is designed such that Chucky would always be in a "human" body while he's doing those animations, the problem vanishes.
There's another killer I'd like to see. :)
-
I'd like to play it. That'd be fun regardless, especially if you could change into objects and set pieces as well.
Prolly be lowest on the killer ranks for efficiency but in terms of feeling great it'd be through the roof.

I mean... If they are a full or near-full team deliberately and actively using comms to gain an unfair out-of-game advantage...
Two wrongs may not make a right, but that doesn't mean anyone can take the moral high ground and lord it over the other party, either. That's just one of those "I'm gonna leave y'all to it and hope I don't get shite all over my new shoes" situations.
You said it brother. Kudos.
-
Need proximity chat both killers and survivors can hear. Won't stop the third party comms for unscrupulous folk but it'd add a little more to the game.
It's fun to see how this blew up so fast and where everyone's morals and ethics lie.
Ya'll have fun practicing your rhetoric, try not to strain yourselves too much.

Or give gen-grabs their own struggle/wiggle event. like, that the killer needs to knock the survivor down first before they can take them to the hook.
I like the struggle event idea, us killers have to mash a button while they try and wiggle or vice versa, we win and can carry, they win and we're stunned and they get a speed boost and temporarily leave no scratch marks...let's do this thing! =D =P

They should allow for a 'nightmare mode' or something. regular gameplay, but no music (except chasemusic, maybe), no red stain, no TR at all. Killers are scaled down to 'human' size (if human). other perks work as usual, heartbeat is combined with spinechill.
smaller speedboost when hit, scratchmarks lasting longer, automatic bloodhound and all ears.
Survivors get skillchecks to keep quiet when injured and not moving (so no iron will/calm spirit)
That would be fantastic. I'd never be able to play it as a survivor, but I'd be down to slash. ^_^ Heck, just getting rid of the red stain and eliminating TR until you're in a chase would do wonders. Have to do away with gen grabs though or give survivors a different objective (Survive x minutes, grab an item to open an instant gate and locate said gate, ect.) and reduce killer speed otherwise it becomes too much of a power fantasy.
-
Depends on what a person finds frightening I guess. I think they can't make it too frightening or much more stressful while keeping the wide marketability.
This sounds like a video game version of the ol Slasher vs Thriller debate. Argue on friends.

Godloops make me want to be able to hurl a manifestation of my spite through the screen because even a monkey can use them again and again to waste my time if they recognize them. Usually everyone can and switching targets just ends up in a race not to let them get to said loop.
That said, camping as a subject can't really compare, because as others have stated above everyone has a differing opinion of what defines camping, whereas looping is a well defined singularity.
TLDR; Bleep good loopers, 99% loops fine AND dandy, Camping is as art.

Hi Salty AF, I'm DFP! :p
Alright, bad joke aside, I'm with ya. Being able to have more than one contextual button or just a way to flick from one available action to another would be super helpful to both sides, though I can see it being super buggy on release with what actions take... precedence? over another. ._.'

Recently I was doing a challenge as the Hag.
3 gens left and all was untouched. There was still 2 or 3 survivor..somewhere. I was looking around every bushes and corner. The lockers was empty. Where are they? After a while I found them all behind this buggy rock, spinning and waiting for their end. I felt so sorry for them and we finished the gens and finally let them escape into freedom.
That reminded me, I was able to message and get help from a group to complete the Wraith challenge where you had to ring the bell next to each survivor in a match. I swear to goodness I'd been meeting the criteria, but something wasn't right because after six or seven matches it just wasn't going through or counting.
I was frustrated and annoyed because I was really trying to blast through them in my precious free time and it just wasn't happening. At first, nobody messaged me back, and the gens were popping like....popcorn as I frantically sent out the call for aid. They opened the gates, and I was thinking that was it, maybe next game, and trying to think positively though i felt defeated.Thankfully, they were super kind, and all came to find me after I moped my way down into the basement letting me bing and bong all over them. ^_^ I let them farm a bit, got my challenge done, and put the controller down for the night, ending on a high note.
Seriously though, no matter how loud the toxic folk can be, thank you survivors for being willing to help out a good two thirds of the time when a solo player is in a bad way. I really appreciate the willingness to spend your time and help. :)
-
.....where are you and similar minded folk when I try for my Adept trophies? :p
Sorry, couldn't resist.
In all seriousness, please don't give up like that. Your team can still use you, and a few seconds can make or break some games.
It sucks walking that razored edge, I get it, but you can still make a difference so long as you're alive WalkedMoss. It seems like you have enough knowledge and technical prowess to make that escape winning play.
Good luck out there friend, may you find your heart once more and foil many killers. :)

Clown with a suit, nixon mask, and lit cigar or rolled up constitution.
Melted barbie/Horrid makeover Plague with a pink purse.
Legion in a guy fawkes mask, hoodie, and with a keyboard. Different rgb glow and hoodies for each.
Trapper in a construction/flagger outfit with a hardhat, reflective vest, and stopsign.
Pinata Hag with a confetti and candy particle effect when she teleports or a trap is triggered.
The spirit as humpty dumpty with an egg beater.
Demo wearing a pair of floppy dog ears and big red coller with tag, or a sheepskin with the head attached and pulled over his.
The Deathslinger needs a Scorpion costume from Mortal Kombat.
A surprised/shocked looking Ghostface mask with a pikachu onesie and a plastic lightning bolt in hand.
Pyramid head with an actual pyramid for a head, ancient egyptian garb dragging a giant ankh.
I'll think of more later. :)

(Sorry, couldn't resist. :p)
In all seriousness, It's starting to get that time of night, (At least over here.) combine that with the above mentioned Rift closure and yeah, that about sums it up.
Happy games and good luck out there. :)

Eight views and one comment now. :) You do clean work, it looks great. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the Lord of Change.

I'm afraid the Ordo Malleus will be mightily displeased, and need pictoral evidence for your pending trial. Definitely not for our viewing pleasure. #NoShaming.

You'll get a lot of salt no matter what you do. Spirit, Deathslinger, and Myers seem to be the killers that I get the most after game complaints about, whether trying to play by the survivors handbook or not.
As stated above, you'll have to use your own judgement for this, especially when you're just starting out, and playing against folk that make silly mistakes and expect you not to "punish" (capitalize on) them. I can't begin to count the number of times someone's accused me of camping or tunneling because they unhooked a poor soul right in front of or behind me, or fallen for an obvious trap.
Try not to let them bother you too much, the name of the game is for them to survive and you to stop them. So long as you aren't cheating or being a knob and holding the game hostage you're playing fine.
Welcome to the game and community Majin, good luck and happy hunting. :)

In all seriousness, its probably a skybox for animations to take place. The map you play on is a projection of the sky box, and anything that happens there happens on the map. Even player models, so if you go on a skybox, a giant character will be projected on to the map.
....I want to see that now. Halloween update: Kaiju mode!

I'm not the best killer out there Rank 16. but with the matchmaking I'm being thrown up against rank 1's rank 4 and 5s' and maybe one rank below 10.
Of course it's going to be a bad game when I'm hugely outmatched.
And in the game I just played, I know I hit the same person twice and they didn't go down and I mean within a few seconds.
another case of survivor swat teams strikes again.
@Ryan489x I feel ya brother. Made a similar topic on it because I was thrown and curious too. As everyone's said, matchmaking is busted to hades and back. Try and use it as a learning tool and as a guilt free way to change the games objective. Ya know you're gonna get dunked, but ya can still have fun with it. Turn a match into a king of the hill slugfest by hooking a survivor up there and planting your flag, see how far you can make one run before they catch on to ya, try and get everyone in the basement, play house with a survivor, try and get as many pallets as ya can and beat your high score. :p And who knows, when ya change the objective opportunities may come knocking if you throw them for enough of a loop. : )

I'm 34, and most of the streamers/youtubers you see look like they run from majority 20's to a few 30's.
The way I see it, the horror icons are from older movies from the 80s, Myers is going to appeal to people that are now adults, and the horror genre hasn't come out with anything new as far as I can tell.
That said, Dead by Daylight is popular, I see v tubers playing games of Dead by Daylight and then popping over to Minecraft. We've got...a lot of youngin's runnin' around. Yes the game is 18+ but has the ESRB rating or the websites that make you say your age ever stopped a young teen? No.
Also every other forum for this game I go to is in love with Susie, Pig and Feng. Hormones run amok with this game.
@Heartbound You're spot on right there.
@HEX_MalusGrey 'Bout to enter thirty-hood myself, sign me up and let's start talkin' jackets. : )

I feel for ya. I play on console over mandatory shared apartment complex wifi, and it's cheated me and made me look a fool a few times.
The worst was a Freddy game against a cocky crew led by a shirtless David flexing through time and space. I was getting audio confirmation I was hitting them and fighting like mad but the latency was awful and nothing seemed to stick. At times their run speed would just jump or they'd straight up teleport. I stuck it out because I needed the points, and while waiting for them to stop teabagging and blinding me at the gate and just LEAVE already I DC'ed. I was crushed and frustrated that I'd gone through all that for nothing. Sad and angry on a deep level, that game felt AWFUL and what came after was worse.
They accused ME of using a lagswitch, being toxic and dc'ing on purpose called me a few nasty names and were trying to mock me as unskilled and telling me to off mysepf to boot. Over a friggin' game. I had and I think still have the game footage. Didn't matter to them. David was the worst of the lot, I can still remember his messages started with "Imagine playing so toxic and getting no kills." Needless to say, my messages got turned off, and friend requests set to auto deny for a while. That may be what ya have to do here.
Take a sabbatical and when it's been long enough that it doesn't feel so raw come on back. Try and remember the good matches you've had, the ones that thrilled you and made your blood pump and heart race. The matches where you goofed around and had a laugh with everyone. Even though the jerks may be loud and covering them up, kind and fun folk still live on.
You've got this Sasha. I know you can pull through this tribulation. You've seen the gold through the dross among us and I believe that you can find it again. Happier days and matches will come with time.
Wish ya godspeed towards them, and good hunting when you get there.

Had a game the other night cosplaying as park ranger Billy where the first survivor I hit dc'ed, the next gave up, and left two in bunny costumes all on their lonesome. Played around with them for a bit so we all got points then started herding them to gens, somewhere along the way they found a key and got out. :) Played another quick game and after that sure enough on the next go around got my rabbit friends AND the folk what left them to dry. Didn't think they were a team from earlier behavior. Anyway, the mori was loaded and targets set. The bunnies recognized me once we were in and we danced around for a bit before the other two met a tragic end, carelessly falling onto hooks then tripping on a chainsaw. Tearjerking, let me tell you. Once the rabbits finished the gens I opened a gate and wandered around, cleaning up pallets and we went our merry ways once more. :)
-
Bring a key or a map, make a little noise at the beginning but nothing overt and pretend to be sneaking away from your "mistake". When the killer sides up just bolt off, preferably towards a pallet or window. Throw or jump, then emote or teabag afterword. Won't work forever, but for a minute or so you'll be their whole world. The problem is going to be mindgaming enough to keep the killer interested and oblivious to what you're doing. Best advice there is to play cocky afterword then let them "stumble" across you doing something loud, opening a chest, missing a gen skillcheck in different but close locations in quick succesion, sending crows up ect.
-
Mood brother, and nice joke. :)
-
Oof. Ah well, sounds like there's a light at the end of the tunnel, just got to power through and put in the time and effort to make it happen. :) Thank you guys, good luck out there.

Got called a 'camper' and 'tunneler' (along with much more toxic stuff) in a game where I never hooked the same person twice in a row, and always left the area after hooking someone. Apparently being on the map makes me a camper! Next time, I guess I'll just have to leave the map.
Tried that, survivors claimed interacting with the code in such a way was too OP even if I took myself out of the game, and was told I'd be reported as it was unsportsmanlike for me not to be around to T-bag. I've since given up on the Fog and been looking for this little server I've heard called The Matrix...

yeah, the tome challenges aren't going anywhere, you will still get the lore unlocks and blood points for them. just not the rift fragments
Thank you! I'll stop stressing and just take it easy then. ^_^ J appreciate all the help and the speedy responses.

I may have stated that wrong, I'm working on the challenge/archive bloodweb looking thingamajig, I realize now the Rift is it's own seperate tab on the same page. ^_^' My bad.

Demogorgon is fun to play, really captures being a monster, but I'm lucky to get a single sacrifice with them. Myers is a great second, but you get So. Much. Salt. X_X
