  • Bubba going straight to basement and just wait there is that a thing? Never seen that.

  • I play all killers but the one I won't play for a very long time again is Blight. F-tier killer horrible to control.

  • I want to pimp my basement with bloodstains, have different bodyparts to hang on the walls and decide where blood should drip from the roof etc.

    Camp or tunnel penalties?

Focusing on 25% of the survivors is not the same as 75% of the survivors only doing gens. Gen rushing is worse because it leaves one team with no chance, but of course there should be no penalties for anything. They should instead fix the problem so gens don't fly this fast or have survivors doing other things that takes time before they can open exit gate.

  • It's not our fault that you have internet problems. Why should we get punished for it?

  • Killer-Survivor (kills vs escapes) 4-0 and 3-1 is a win for killer. 2-2 is a draw and at 1-3, 0-4 the killer lost.

Not really because when they do it i stop playing. Its waste of my time so i usually get them to hook me and move on to hopefully a better game. There is no reason to tunnel at 5 gens...

You don't see anything wrong with this? No reason you say..when you hook suicide the killer will win. That is a super good reason to tunnel.

  • This MMR was a lot better. A few tweaks perhaps and then bring it on!

  • No he does not but he needs changes. The dreamworld could be made less annoying to be in and the sound of Freddy getting close in the dreamworld "EEEOOO E E OOO" could be changed to something scary instead of this very annoying sound.

  • If survivors are complaining about the killer then that killer is in a good spot. Who complains about Clown? No one.

The antidote is a bit fun to have and with Cigar box survivors have a hard time to hide, fun combo. Overall he needed more, even if he is not super bad of course but no one is saying that.

  • @Seraphor said:

A compromise would be to give you a notification if the killer in your lobby is someone you've blocked (without saying who it is), and likewise have an icon or something next to the names of survivors you've blocked. This would give you the option to dodge that lobby.

So all very good killers, or mains of Spirit, Freddy etc would have to wait forever to play since people would lobby dodge them all the time. This would still ruin the game.

You win some games and you lose other ones, you have fun sometimes and sometimes not. Just deal with it.

Oh and Tillabler: "Tunneling n camping is a good reason to block any killer"..What? It's a valid strategy in the game that survivors have tools to work around, there is in no way ok to want to block people for this. Pretty toxic suggestion.

  • I need to play more but so far, not bad!

  • It can feel unfair when you are new, but try to play anti looping killers. Put the time into learning Nurse, or bamboozle Bubba or Clown for example then you can end chases pretty fast after a while. Also learn to give up chases when you see that survivors have a lot to work with like safe pallets, being in a strong loop etc and go for another survivor, or pressure gens instead.

  • I stopped playing Mr nice guy. When they hit me with DS before it felt it was unfair, when it happens now I just think "Yepp I deserve it"..when they t-bag I just think yeah we are not nice to each other, and why would we? We are opposite teams in a game about killing.

And I don't care about winning or losing anymore I play for fun. To let the last survivor go after a game of being a "toxic" killer is the least they expect, but I do it anyway. As killer I like to be unpredictable.

But I am in no way a killer main by the way I play survivor 80-90% of the time, and I never t-bag and stuff since I respect killers, they play alone.

  • Hard gen tunneling and escaping needs to go! Well both sides want's to win and should always ignore the other sides complains, especially the killer because they are not ment to be the nice guys. If you play killer you should just kill and don't care about how you do it.

  • And people won't complain? They would still complain about perks, killers, t-bagging etc etc. It would solve nothing. These people will never be happy. Give a DBD player 1 million dollars and that person would say it's toxic because it's not 2 million.

  • Could be fun. And even if it was a really small map there would be a lot of space..

  • @BeardedScrub said:

You've got to be kidding me. We are comparing tunneling, a known toxic thing to do, with doing gens, a survivors main objective?

Talk about a toxic killer community... Wow..

There are several counters to multiple gens popping at once, though it is rare to get 3 to pop before you hook someone. If that keeps happening just get corrupt intervention. But this is rare, and takes rare circumstances like a big map or a bunch of new parts.

Even many complaints in this thread are from people who admit they kill 2 or 3 survivors in a game. For petes sake! A normal balanced result is 2 kills. You may get all 4. You may get 0. That's how this game works. Sometimes you win by skill, or you lose by luck, it happens. Stop complaining everytime you get a result you don't want. The kill rate is over 2 already, which shows more are killed then survive. There's not much that can be done. People who get tunneled can play decisive strike, after the new update, it will be more balanced. As a killer play corrupt rather then playing no ed with Michael Myers (which you don't need because you can just stalk to get that!).

We can make minor changes to burn sides but this stuff happens. Enjoy the game, try to get as many kills as you can. And if you have a few games with 2 games or less, realize it's not a big deal.

As far as the main topic at hand. I'm a survivor, I know it sucks to get tunneled, it's not toxic to use decisive strike when you keep getting tunneled, as long as you aren't purposely using it for offense. They will nerf they part of it anyway, get decisive strike, and when you have a rough go of it, use it for a few games

And what is killers objective? To kill and stop gens being done and "tunneling" is a good strategy for this. You can call it boring for the survivor being tunneled but it's not more "toxic" then survivors who only focus on gens. Yes they should focus on gens and yes killers should focus on killing. This is the game.

  • Then why would survivors do bones? This change would only make gens fly even faster. NOED should be buffed instead so survivors also focus on totems aswell. But give survivors a totem counter also.

  • Skulls!

  • No I play all survivors and killers. I'm not a main anything. I will spend millions of BPs and get all perks at tier 3 on her like the rest of them and play her now and then. This is how I play the game.

  • @Michi said:

Depends on the nerf. Tbh almost all nerfs you could give to Hag would kinda destroy her.

The changes I would personally would give her are: each x seconds she is close to a hooked surv a trap in a xm radius around that hooked surv is erased. So basically you draw a trap and then run away. Placing more or proxy camping will erase the previous traps.

Change 2: after a surv is rescued all traps in Xm distance are erased. While I think that it is Hags thing that survs have to crouch to go for the unhook I am 100% on the surv side that survs should not be forced to crouch away again after a rescue. That is too much.

Something that should never ever happen is to allow survivors to remove traps via action other than with a flashlight. This would basically kill her + make her way too similar to trapper. There is already an amazing counter to Hag traps: come close, trigger them at the trigger ,,border" and then run away. If Hag teleports immediately you maybe interrupted a chase she was in and youre wasting her time. Like with gens before you pop a trap plan ahead. Look for a save escape route.

I see some people saying that Hag is not very interactive which is totally wrong. In fact she is heavily interactive but instead of Hag offering interaction the survivors have to force it by (as example) triggering her traps at the border etc. But many people try to play against her the same way they play against the other killers and do not take any opportunity to create interaction.

I guess the main reason that she is not played that much is because she is the only real tactical killer. Even trapper is not that tactical because he can chase fine without traps etc. while Hag has to play in a tactical way only to win.

I can win a game pretty easy with Hag and then the next game I get a team that have one survivor just triggering traps "at the trigger border" as you say and I will struggle a LOT. Now I follow you on youtube and I see you win all the time but you can also always choose not to upload such games..but do you also have games like this with 3-4 escapes sometimes? If I may ask 😀

Me I worry that they will change Hag in way that will make her much worse to play and that people will just stop playing her. I see so many people complain about Hag and It's mostly survivors that won't bother learning how to counter her, but still when many survivors complains devs sooner or later will do something about it 😐️

  • @TheArbiter said:

Well, depends on what kind of nerf lol. If the nerf is anything like what they did to Nurse and Billy however, she would still be very strong

Some wants Hag to not be able to put a trap close to a hooked survivor for example, but all Hags do this even Michi because it's a good strategy. That kind of change might be detrimental, even if survivors would be happy about it.

Yes, we check through fun ratings on occasion looking for information on player perceptions. Please fill these out. :)

This question has been there for so long people don't notice it anymore. You should change questions from time to time. Would it not be interesting to ask if the game was easy, normal or too hard and see what survivors answers depending on what killer they played against, and same what the killers said about the survivor team and see statistics of how Spirit players think after a game versus Trappers for example.

i would consider forcing me to depip and not even giving me a fair shot in the game pretty rude

Why would a killer care about depip and "fair" gameplay? Survivors never care about if killers get's enough hooks or kills etc, never.

People need to stop seeing the killer as a nice guy who just runs around chasing everyone for your amusement.

  • Killer is harder and attract better gamers than survivor. But there has to be a limit to how much survivor sided the game is, or there will be problems getting enough killers to play.

That said solo survivor can be pretty hard since even if I'm really good at the game, my teammates are almost always worse. Most red rank survivors are still worse players than green rank killers.

  • Console players tend to be better because gamers seldom play on PC, computers is for work and stuff. But these things do hold console back a bit so there are PC-players that look just as good as gamers.

  • He's a pretty good proxy camper I mean right before stage 2 when they try to unhook you shock them and they fail. Doctor is made for the "toxic" style of gameplay and with Noed in the end you find people with static blast. Doctor is a good defensive style killer and a mad guy to make survivors crazy in more than one way. He should not run around too much that is for Clown and such.

  • Oh the killer have decent perks also that is so sad to hear.

  • IGN is just mainstream it's nothing to take serious at all. They give Uncharted and GTA 10/10 all the time because it's Uncharted and GTA. And living in this world you know that you can probably buy good reviews also so I would never trust any reviews from big mainstream site.

This said I don't think that score for DBD is crazy, but I would give it 7/10 and point out it's still very addictive which means they have a great concept.

  • Most "toxic" killer I have seen is myself as Doctor when drinking a bit omg that Doctor play is crazy shocking people trying to unhook and letting them bleed out while spinning around making small shock sounds bzz bzz bzz..totally mad. But Doctor is supposed to be mad and evil so I have no regrets. I will play this Doctor again. Otherwise I play "normal".

Ok so "toxic" killers I have faced as survivor? And I play like 10 survivor games per day so yeah killers are way too nice but it happens. Had a few killers down me when I'm last survivor and let me crawl to hatch just to close it in my face and then let me bleed out. I mean I just laugh about it and play another game it really does not bother me at all. But I faced a Demogorgon who did this and it's pretty rare to se Demoboy playing that way. So I turned messages on and messaged him about it and we had a bit of a laugh about it. He said it was more fun to be toxic with Demo because people do not expect that.

  • If there are lot's of pallets dropped I can let the survivor bleed for a while and go kick them. No biggie you can't force the killer to hook you.

  • A buff would help against gen rush with survivors doing more totems. Would be great for both sides.

  • Go straight to next game ignore chat. Problem solved!

  • "it's not fair for the survivor that is harassed by such a behavior"

First of all that is only 25% of the survivors it is a team so the camped/tunneled survivor can be happy about the others doing gens instead of thinking selfish. And "such behavior" it's part of the game and legit as you said it's nothing the killer should feel guilty about just as survivors should not feel guilty for looping and gen rush etc. It's part of the game and nothing wrong.

  • I like to play as Doctor and be a bit toxic and mad but against him? No way always hated it he is so annoying.

  • Corrupt, BBQ, Agitation, NOED

This is my current Trapper build trying to get survivors in basement with Agitation and then proxy camp a bit defending close gens perhaps but not letting basement out of sight.

  • Tunneling is always fair! It's not fun for the survivor but as killer you face a whole team, so you are only tunneling 25% of that team for every time you tunnel. And while you do that the other survivors is on at least 25% of the gens so..fair!

  • It's a very strong perk so what would you give to killers to compensate? Built in Pop or NOED? If all killers had NOED always then there would be more totems done and less gen rush, and less tunneling with all survivors having DS. Might not be bad.

  • Open-Handed, Bond, Kindred, Windows of Opportunity is pretty fun and useful. Lot's of information you know what pallets are still standing when killer comes and you see your escape plan while doing gens, you see where your teammates are for a heal etc with Bond and of course Kindred is very helpful. Open-Handed is really good when you build around it like this.

Fixated, Sprint Burst, Vigil, DS is another nice one you can use Sprint Burst more and Fixated is good to lose the killer with when breaking LoS.

Sprint Burst, Fixated, Urban Evasion, Tenacity - Run fast, Walk fast, Croutch fast, Crawl fast..this build is more for fun :)

  • Iron Will is the perk I think of first when asked about the best survivor perk in the game. So..Iron Will!

  • I like Plague but play her once per 4 months or something. When a killer is picked the least the devs need to find out why and try to do something about it. A small buff would be nice I don't think she needs a rework.

  • Survivor: Bad teammates, DCs/hook suicides, farming killers.

Killer: OoO SWFs with Plunderers and Shiny Coin offering.

  • @Tsulan said:

The hook counter doesn´t count hooks but hook states. There´s a huge difference between 4 kills and 12 hooks. Someone who camps 4 hooks to death counts as a 12 hook game. Which is just inaccurate.

It's not inaccurate it is still 12 hooks if the killer managed to guard that hook so good that all four survivors died on hook. That takes a lot of skill try to get 12 hooks that way against SWFs it's impossible 😀

  • It's a good perk that is bad on bad survivors because they use it when they should not.

  • Total waste if killer messing around. Camp, tunnel, slug do whatever you want just play to win.

  • Why would killing another survivor be better than killing you? Stop thinking selfish. Many survivors likes the chasing the most in this game so be happy if you get "tunneled". Also unhooked survivors also go straight for gens so they also must be stopped it's the killers job.

  • Joan "The Freak" Ferguson from Prisoner/Wentworth.

  • You are the only one who thinks this. Most killers are better than Doctor but if you are a "stealthy" survivor then he is irritating. But you should not be stealthy just focus on doing gens, totems and get out.
