That simply isn't true though , it's way to early to tell for sure. You're running on pure emotion right now rather then being objective. You feel like you're side got slighted and I get that man, I do. But it's simply to early to tell
You must be trolling. I was talking about new players. I get that reading comprehension can be hard but come on. I'm still playing and I'm still winning some matches, however, the amount of matches I'm losing has gone way up since the update. I own all the survivors and all the perks. I also quit playing killer because it was easy before the update.

Every multiplayer game has a learning curve and the DBD learning curve as always been rough for either side. People will pick it up and keep playing, especially with events like the AoT one. Like I said, wait and chill dude. You got this
There is no learning curve for killer now. They made it way too easy.

My killer queues are like 10-20 seconds, 2-3 minutes at the absolute worst, and that's rare. To get to 20 minutes average, virtually all the survivors would have to leave the game, and that's just not gonna happen.
I play just as much surv as killer, and nothing that has been changed is going to alter that.
The problem here, as with people in general, is that fold are always projecting their feelings onto others, as if because they are mad everyone else is just as mad. Message boards are the home of the vocal minority, and even here only a handful of people are legit threatening to leave.
And let's be honest, most of those threats are empty. They'll keep on playing, baby is just having a tantrum because their old toys got taken away.
Reality is that even if you leave, a new player will come in, with no feeling of being screwed because they're new. This idea that all the survs are gonna leave en masse and the killer mains and BHVR are going to be taught some kind of lesson is just wishful thinking by a disgruntled few, or feeble play to make BHVR change course.
Not saying all the changes are good, but it is what it is, at least until tweaks come, but they're not going to reverse course here.
I never said I was going to leave and if people choose to leave that's their choice. My point has always been about new players and that they bring in much more revenue than players that have been playing for years, if you don't think new players bring in much more revenue then you are in denial. New players will not stick around when you put the best perks behind a pay wall.

New players will learn to play with the game as it is and that's the way they will know DBD; the only people who are handwringing about this are old players who now have to learn to play differently.
To varying degrees, we existing players all have a comfort zone we're going to be pushed out of, and some will deal with this better than others. Some will leave and be replaced, most will adjust.
But DBD will carry on, despite all the doomsaying. I'm not saying DBD is perfect, far from, but people are endlessly predicting the end every time something changes, and still the game persists.
Just be willing to deal with 20 minute queue's I suppose when all the survivors leave the game.

I do indeed love how this cycle repeats it's self
Killer comes out/ or gets buffed and not even a whole 24 hours later the forum is filled with salty survivor mains talking about "LeAvInG tHe gAmE" yeah leaving it until you press play the next day. Killers are the same though, I think people need to wait a week before they start making novel long posts on the forums a bout how bad the patch is. Chill
My original comment was about new players. How does what you said have anything to do with that? New players don't need to wait a week because they are new and will just stop playing.

Ironically a lot of the new players of the past never learned the mechanics of the game properly, because the perks at their disposabel, for example DH or IW, never forced them to deal with the "real" game, so they just platoed at a certain level, while still being successful. This will change now.
What do you mean by "the real game". If you were good as a killer then DH was never an issue.

Nah, killers have been suffering for awhile, this was a long time coming.
Must be bad at being a killer then.

I’ll buy more stuff just to help out BHVR as I approve of this patch
Ok go ahead and spend your 10 dollars every time they release a new dlc. New players buy the dlc that you already own and new dlc (hence why they will lose revenue) but that will more than likely change.

I personally play on Xbox, and with the 3 load out tabs I ran perks I’ve never ran before like no mither over the weekend and had a blast.
Cool story except you weren't able to experiment with the changes to perks. Experimenting with perks that were going to be changed before the update does you absolutely no good. Survivors took a major hit with this update and killers got a major buff when being killer was already easy. The problem is that killer mains need to lower their expectation for what a win is. The devs themselves have said they think the killer should be able to get 2 kills each match and if you couldn't do that before the update then you were a bad killer plain and simple.

Not everyone had the opportunity to test the new perks. Quit assuming that everyone plays on pc.

I really fail to see how specific perk nerfs will make survivor unplayable for newer players. Especially a perk like Iron Will. It's not even a base perk, but a perk from Jake.
No, if anything will cause a big problem, it's camping and tunneling. New players in particular struggle with those strategies, and now that killers have been buffed, it could become even worse. Those are the strategies that need to be nerfed, and automatically DBD would become better for survivors, especially newer survivors.
Camping and tunneling are also straregies that are often used at low ranks because they are the easiest strategies to use. Killer surely isn't "easy", but those strategies, at least camping, are. I am positive survivors at low ranks have a harder time to win especially because of those strategies. Since they take little skill, they can be used effectively enough even by low rank killers.
Jake was free same with David. I do agree that DH needed a nerf but iron will is one of those perks that if you start out with you have a much higher chance of hiding from the killer. One of my major concerns is that the best perks will now all be locked behind a pay wall. Why pay to get the perks when you lose every game?

"New Players will play against new players."
You have too much faith in the matchmaking. I have ~4k hours and sometimes get matched with or against people with like 100
If a new player gets matched with a new killer the killer has all the advantage because of the new update. They made it so easy for killer to get kills why stick around to lose every match.

@Exxodus21 said:
I think the new players will have an advantage because they'll learn to play without the old crutches. People were way too reliant on iron will and dead hard.
Except they wont stick around to learn. That was my point in the first place.

Yes, mind gaming is super easy, as is monitoring all your gens, figuring out where you can get on the map, watching the survivors play style, doing your best to turn it against them, getting stuffed by unmindegamable and/or completely safe pallets, and having to deal with a get out of free card called DH. Super easy.
There is a reason why I stopped playing killer. It was too easy to get at least 2 kills per game. If you can't get 2 kills per game then you are bad at killer but when the devs give killers buffs every patch it makes it easy and not fun.

At the end of the day its 4 against 1, kilking yourself on hook just screws your teammates
At the end of the day killer was already easy to play before the update.

@Vetrathene said:
Does not mean you can't win, so please stop killing yourselves on your first hook, adjust your build, learn to loop, and things will be fine. They will be harder, but its not the end of the world. Its just finally time for playing survivor to actually be a challenge.
Said the person that has never solo queue as a survivor. Killer mains complain they cant get 4 kill wins every game and BHVR just gives them what they want. Its been that way for the last 5 patch updates.

MMR and Grade have nothing to do with each other.
Getting to iridescent grades doesn't mean much, but MMR absolutely does.
This still makes absolutely no difference on solo queue's. I play a lot more than I should and still get paired with crap teammates. A lot of times I will be the last one standing because my team can't keep away from the killer for more than a few seconds.

BHVR actually did it. A perk in a horror game that is supposed to be used to dodge a hit was actually nerfed into uselessness. A perk that required immense skill in situations that required precise timing against many things that could cause it not to work (ie. server lag, killer connections). It is not fun to use now.
90 seconds to repair gens is not something survivors need or want to do. It is not fun to sit 90 seconds. Constantly nerfing survivors because of bad killers is causing the survivor role to be very unattractive and I opened the game today to play one game and clicked quit. 100% bonus points to lose against an overpowered killer is not enough incentive to play as survivor.
3 second stun against a Nurse, Huntress, or Blight is basically nothing. Any person disagreeing including BHVR needs to play survivor against one of these killers only one time to know. Decisive Strike and all of its silly deactivation conditions might be fun for killers but you feel very cheated as survivor and it is not fun. A 1-time use perk shouldn't be that weak. There is hardly any tools for survivors to use their skill and improve upon. Escaping is impossible against a killer that knows what to do.
Excellent killers do not have any issues winning an overwhelming majority of their matches. Balancing around very bad killers is not good for DBD.
Couldn't have said it better myself. I was in a game earlier against demo and i dropped a pallet on him, got the stun, the pallet put me on the wrong side with him and he was able to down me before I could jump back over the pallet. The devs are a joke and cater to the worst of the worse killer players. Its sad that they keep destroying any hope for survivors that solo queue.

The only time killer is ever "easy" is at the lowest levels of MMR, when you're mostly facing solo survs with very little experience. Once you advance much, killer becomes the harder role and largely stays that way.
Solo teams will always be easier to win against, obviously, but at higher MMR you're going to be running into experienced survs the majority of the time.
Of course I also make the case that at higher MMR (like anything above low-mid), solo isn't actually that bad, because having put in that time, most everyone is actually going to have developed some game sense. It's not like when you start out and no one on your team has any idea what's going on.
I play almost exclusively solo, and find my teammates to usually be pretty competent, save for the occasional potato slipping in.
Getting to higher MMR means nothing. I have a friend I play with that was able to reach iridescent and he is not that great at the game. All you have to do is play and sooner or later you will reach high MMR. I guess I must play more that you then because when i reach high MMR I seem to always get paired with survivors that are not good at the game. I pretty much always solo and have had plenty of issues. If the devs would just add a way for survivors to communicate (maybe something like apex legend's ping system) then I would be more inclined to agree with you. I stopped playing killer because it was so easy that it wasn't fun.

Killer was not easy, still isn't. Do you play killer yourself? Cause it's not easy if you go up against an actual good survivor team.
This is not about cry baby killers getting their way. This is about the game becoming more balanced and fair for both sides. And DH was definitely problematic and overpowered. It could extend chases too effectively by pressing a button.
Problem is only that the devs stopped halfway when they reached the point where they should have added some nerfs to camping and tunneling to help out survivors against those crappy strategies. And instead didn't.
So I hope that will follow very soon. There is no reason to buff killers in proper ways, which they did need, to make their fair and proper gameplay more viable, and then not nerf camping and tunneling at all.
The problem with your logic here is that 70% of games if not more than that are against solo queue survivors. So I will agree that when you run into a full team it is more balanced. When survivors have no way of communicating with each other the killer shouldn't have any issue getting at least 2 kills per game, I know I haven't when I was playing killer. Running into a team is so far and in-between that killer was already easy enough.
-
crybaby killers get what they want I suppose. Killer was already easy and now its not worth playing.

just look up for similar topics and you might find an answer
Then add a communication system similar to Apex legends. I know exactly what my teammates are doing and I don't have to say a word to them with a mic.

You are probably the only person that thinks a buff can be a nerf.

I really wouldn't be surprised if some survivor players have actually already stopped playing the game due to survivors getting so little baseline buffs against camping and tunneling in the upcoming update. Not to mention the update actually buffing camping.
Glad someone pointed out that killer camping is getting buffed.
