So, a counter so some of those pesky second chance perks. Can't have that! 🤣

Adrenaline is hardly a second chance perk. Think of it more as a reward for completing all the generators.

  • I like indoor maps like Hawkins and Lerys because all the walls and rooms blocking LoS allow me to lose the killer much easier compared to outdoor maps.

Midwich is a Disaster. I like the atmosphere and detail but there is a severe lack of decent pallets, large dead zones, empty rooms and long empty corridors. Ok there’s like 1 or 2 god pallets but that’s it.

Hawkins is better designed but nearly every pallet is useless.

  • There is no problem with DS. Its not going to do much mid-game and you may as well just waste it so they can’t use it later on.

It’s literally god tier when it comes to endgame but as killer you shouldn’t have let it get to endgame in the first place....besides there are counters.

  • Not saying he’s OP but he can be very oppressive with high mobility and instant downs along with infectious fright.

  • Only way to stop it is reworking the struggle mechanic, which I believe they don’t plan on doing.

Also there are some games where it’s not worth staying. It’s understandable to see people do it when no ones doing gens, Stridor Spirit etc

  • Pretty much all of Steve’s perks:

Babysitter: Effect doesn’t last long enough and Borrowed Time is the (much) better alternative.

Camaraderie: Very situational. It might help in that very rare situation where you get saved at the last second but that’s about it.

Second wind: A situational perk. Also you have to survive for 30s without any heals and if the killer is proxy camping then it’s useless. Also it can deny fast We’ll make it heals.

  • Funny thing is it’s not a different character. Either through a bug or just pure laziness the Lisa Skin still has the Cheryl Nametag in lobby and the same voice. Not exactly the different character you might be hoping for.

  • The map isn’t exactly enjoyable for survivors either. Too many empty rooms and corridors. Some unsafe pallets, some god pallets and then the rest of the map is barren. Along with the lack of stairs meaning you have to go the length of the map just to get upstairs.

  • This should be bannable. It might not be holding the game hostage but it is griefing. Stuff like this, although rare it ruins the experience for survivors.

So? Losing is not fun, the devs need to stop to try to cater to this mentality.

When I play league, do my opponents have fun losing? No. Do I have fun losing? No You can't balance a game around fun because a) entirely subjective and b) the losing side is not gonna have fun typically.

This game isn’t a league so you can’t really draw comparisons.

Even when losing the loser has to feel that they have been fairly beat.

Imagine what Killer players felt with the old Syringe and Brand new Part. If we go by your advice of “losing isn’t supposed to be fun” then those would have been left untouched.

  • Too little stairs. I have to walk across the entire map to get on the top floor.

Also why are there hidden corridors with breakable walls?? They offer no benefit in terms of shortening loops and the hatch can actually get trapped in there....

The post just shows how unhealthy these perks are for the game, they are undeniable meta and kill any variety. Nothing beats having an extra-hookstate basically.

How are they unhealthy for the game? If anything the tunnelling /camping is unhealthy.

Imagine being a new player and having the killer camp you or target you after you are unhooked. That’s not exactly fun.

They aren’t the undeniable meta. But survivors are somewhat forced to run them to counter the unsavoury play styles. Yes they are open to abuse which gives them a bad name but without them the survivor experience would be a lot less fun.

  • No, it’s one of the perks that are outside the current meta that I like using.

And then never replied to that thread again. Smells like bait.

I was just trying to gather opinions. There have been instances in the past where people wear blackface in Comic-con and they get banned from the competition. I highly doubt they was doing it to be racist yet they still get banned from it.

  • Just give blood points bonus that stacks with WGLF and offerings. Then it’ll be a perk worth using.

  • Why does everyone feel the need to post Toxic survivors on the forums?

If you are offended there is a report button that you may use or you can contact customer support.

Other than pointing and laughing at the Salty survivors the forums aren’t going to be much help.

  • 3 gen shouldn’t even be a thing. Devs should make them a lot more spaced out.

Sure it may be the survivors job to make sure they don’t 3 gen themselves but some killers literally guard one side of the map. Forcing survivors to complete gens on one side and 3 gen themselves.

The only way to get out of the deadlock is if you are communicating with everyone else, which is impossible if you are solo survivor.

  • Had a game like that earlier. 3 of us on the gen and the guy running the killer brought him over to us.

That move pretty much cost everyone the game as the two survivors with me went down and they was on death hook.

There was no excuse for the “teammate” to bring him to us. He had a clear LOS on us so knew we was there.

The only time I’d consider it acceptable is when the survivor has been pretty much tunnelled all game, which then I’ll happily try to take the heat of him or bodyblock.

  • Until you get injured, then you have no hope. Especially if it’s a stridor Spirit.

  • Why did all of you run OoO? Surely if you are all SWF then you only need one of you to run it.

  • Should be a reputation system in this game. Where players can rate each other and those with bad ratings would be matched with Similar people.

This would probably make Killers and survivors think twice before playing scummy.

  • Not sure what point you are trying to put across here. It always sucks to lose but you can’t expect to steamroll teams all the time. I also highly doubt you are facing high rank sweaty SWF’s every game.

If you are a high rank killer then you should have to try hard to win. That’s just the nature of a competitive game.

Thought I’d might add that a win is very subjective for killers. For me I’d consider 1-2k a win as I’ll still get pretty much max BP assuming I hooked everyone. Maybe if you go into every game not expecting a 4K you might enjoy the game more.

  • I can imagine this perk coming in clutch when the killer with NOED Slugs everyone before they open the doors.

I suppose you're that survivor main who uses a key for himself early on in the game, allowing the killer to close it and pressure survivors because of the EGC.

In all seriousness, I don't appreciate it when a survivor/killer main fights about the other side when they probably haven't tried it out at all, it's quite ignorant. That's why I listen to the opinions/constructive arguments from people who've stated that they play both sides, particularly at red ranks, because they have the stronger opinion/argument from experience.

You seem to imply that I don’t play both sides...Also the ranks do not matter, at the moment they seem like they are based entirely on how time you spend on the game rather than actual skill.

Also there is no Issue with SWF. I have been up against optimal SWF groups and even then I can secure myself 1-2 Kills easily and still enjoy myself. Other times it’s just a group of friends having some fun and not tryharding.

Admittedly there are some killers (M1 Mainly) that will struggle against SWF groups but that’s a problem that should be addressed by devs and not a fault of SWF.

  • Basically: Salty Killer main gets outplayed by a 4 man SWF with communication (Which by the way isn’t against the rules) so he uses an Ebony Mori, which is notoriously unbalanced.

People like you just make the game unpleasant for those who want to enjoy the game. I suppose you got so used to dealing with brain dead solo survivors that you don’t even have the skill to deal with SWF.

  • Makes me wish there was a reputation system in this game. If a survivor/Killer gets enough reports for Griefing/unsportsmanlike etc then they should be matched with other people just like them.

  • The main issue is I feel disadvantaged if I don’t use meta perks. Especially the following:

No BT = Nothing I can do to help teammates being proxy camped.

No DS = Nothing I can do if I get tunnelled off the hook.

The only time I don’t run these is when I’m playing selfish and going for the stealth build to avoid being spotted by Killer. But I don’t really like to play like that.

  • I’d love to see the killer, then I can dodge Spirits all day long.

But at the very least I want to see their profile name. So that I can keep tabs on Killers who I know play scummy and dodge them accordingly.

  • DS is fine, leave it as it is.

  • For the sake of balance it should only affect pallet stuns. Head on can be pretty much baited and DS already has a counter, Slugging.

Also it’s still a great perk on M1 killers, combined with Spirit Fury it gets you a free hit, potentially ending the chase much sooner.

You are presumably okay with killers lobby dodging if they see a key then?

Except Keys can be countered. Moris cannot.

  • I chuckle every time someone mentions that Moris and keys are alike. NO they are not. Brand new part used to be the counterpart until it got nerfed many years ago.

  • Use Franklin’s Demise and smack it out of their hand or just ignore it...

  • Moris (Ebony) are probably the most unfair offering in this game.

I don’t encourage DC’s but I can see why they do it when there is a secret offering. Also loading screen DC’s don’t seem to punish you for whatever reason.

  • Please just add a prompt to GIVE UP when you are slugged for at least 20s. At least then I can help out a survivor and hopefully give them hatch rather than wait around for the killer to find them.

  • Killing yourself on hook isn’t bannable (unless it’s considered griefing??)

I too dislike The Spirit and her so called MiNdGaMeS. Once you’re injured you are finished, doesn’t help that most of them run Stridor either, which counters iron will.

  • And this is why I last second switch if I feel like bringing a key. Or I’ll run plunderers and find one. Hell even if I’m using a broken key to give me aura of my teammates it usually means that I’ll get tunnelled or Mori. Please give broken key a different cosmetic look.

  • Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom chapter

Killer: Mola Ram, high priest of the Thuggee Cult. His backstory and his supposed demise perfectly fits that of a DBD Killer.

    Survivor: Indiana Jones

Map: The Underground Thuggee Temple & Mines.

  • I personally don’t like Pig because 80% of them end up tunnelling the survivor off the hook...with a trap on their head.

  • Definitely hate playing against Spirit. I’m not clairvoyant enough to be able to know when to equip iron will so most of the time if I get injured it’s pretty much game over playing against Spirit. Her “mindgames” aren’t really enjoyable either as they are one sided anyway.

I hate playing as Legion. His power is far too underwhelming for me.

  • You don’t even have to be a good survivor to get to rank 1. Just by playing the game you’ll eventually get there unless you really, really suck.

I wouldn’t exactly consider myself a pro survivor and I made it to Rank 1 by just sinking time into the game.

  • Mettle of man I’d consider one of the last Meta-changing perks.

But yeah the devs seem too scared to make any decent perks for both sides. Soul guard is probably the only notable perk in the next chapter and there’s already calls for it to be nerfed.

Many of the perks don’t offer enough benefits to be worth a perk slot, some are too situational and frankly most of the perks are better off being combined together.

A nice example would be combining the perk Wake up with the effects of No one left behind, or WGLF + Babysitter. Lots of good examples that can easily make most of the perks worth using.

  • Being a Solo player myself I understand the frustrations. The rank system being borked for survivors doesn’t help either (You seem to get to red ranks by just playing the game rather than actual skill)

Maybe when Skill based MM is introduced it might get better.

Very frustrating when someone’s used up all the pallets and there’s still 4 gens left. Or when there’s a camping killer that butchers your team because they choose to try and save rather than work on gens. The list goes on.

    Solo survivor life I suppose.

  • Lucky Break: Honestly who even tracks by blood nowadays? Unless you’re running bloodhound blood is too much of a hassle to look for on most maps.

Babysitter: Why run this when you have Borrowed Time? If the no scratch marks + blood lasted like 20s then this perk might be worth using.

Calm Spirit: Offers no help. Keeps you hidden from Doctor and Perks that make you scream but that’s about it. The crows isn’t really a meaningful bonus either. There’s a lot better stealth perks to be using than this. Example: Urban Evasion keeps your profile low + you don’t alert crows when crouched.

An honourable mention would be Buckle Up.

  • Tier 39 for me. I’m aiming to get at least a level a day now, which should put me on track to finishing the rift, assuming I don’t do level 4 Tomes

  • Tunnelling and Camping. These are the reasons why I use DS + BT. They at least give myself and my fellow survivors some breathing room against Campers + Tunnellers.

Tunnelling + Camping might be a legit play style but it’s at the expense of the poor guy that ends up dying on first hook or being tunnelled as soon as they get off.

Yes, there are people that abuse these perks but don’t let the minority taint the majority who just want the chance to enjoy the game.

  • Ebony + Ivory Moris are unbalanced. They are basically a win card for the Killer. Yes, even Ivory is OP as tunnelling one guy out the game early on pretty much guarantees you a win

Remove Ivory Mori and make Ebony allow you to kill one Survivor after all four survivors have been hooked at least once. This at least removes the ability for the Killer to tunnel one guy out the game.

No excuse for the Ivory + Ebony Moris as they are right now. The True counterpart to the Moris would have been the old Brand New Parts, but they was nerfed.

  • I have the opposite problem, I keep pipping and ranking up. Somehow I reached Rank 1 survivor, I can put up a decent chase but I wouldn’t consider myself a pro survivor.

The ranking system needs a overhaul

  • Not really. His Terror radius seems bugged at the moment, by the time you hear it he’s on you. Also the fact that he can quickscope you gives you no time to react, unlike Huntress where there is a windup time and an audio cue.

  • I just deliberately got myself into Struggle when I was hooked. Then try to avoid the killer for the rest of the game. If it looks like your team is losing then try to wait for hatch, assuming killer doesn’t slug.
