Survivors don't get diminishing returns on stacking gen speed.
Also to say "killers don't learn the game" bc they can stack slowdown is a silly statement. Perks are there to be used. No one is less good at the game bc of their perk choices

so do you thinkm the leader board aspect stops people from try harding ? and so you are saying mmr never brought try hards then with that comment
People were tryharding before mmr was introduced. You also never see anyone say they must 4k or have a 4 man escape bc they want to raise this invisible number.
With or without mmr, people will cheat and tryhard bc they want to win.

Been testing it out and it's not bad but nowhere near as strong as I thought it was going to be. Certainly not anything resembling old eruption. I'm curious if you also have to commit to the thrilling tremors or Deadlock as well to really see value.
Thrilling only blocks gens not being worked on. So using it in conjunction with GE + DMS wouldn't really do anything since the whole point of comboing the perks is to block gens being worked on longer.
You can't really control when gens get done so it'll hard to make deadlock work consistently as part of a combo.
-
Not to mention that the killer is using 2 perks to essentially double the GE proc. I imagine it'll fall out of flavor when killers realize that they would get more value running a different perk in one of those slots since they don't stack.
-
No one is cheating due to MMR. There's no leaderboard or even a visible number that you could use to gloat. There's no benefit from raising an invisible number.
-
Last thing survivors need is for gens to repair themselves.
-
I just continue to play normally. Really not my problem some people can't handle pvp.
-
Why do they need to be easier to hit? They provide a bonus the progress.

The devs said they were only temporarily buffing Deja Vu until 3-gen scenarios were under better control.
Then again, they said that Bloodlust was only a temporary band-aid.
The deja vu buff really isn't that big of a deal if they don't revert. It's a solid perk for me players in the free pool to help them focus the right generators and it's an okay perk for solos who can't coordinate with their teammates to avoid a 3 gen.

Right now I'm running Deja Vu, Kindred, Bond, and Open Handed. I thought about swapping Deja Vu for Visionary so I can see all the gens and get more value from Open Handed, but why should I use Visionary?
It does not give me a repair boost, I have to manually judge gen proximity to find the critical gens, and it disables briefly each time a gen is completed. Deja Vu completely overshadows it.
This is more a reason to buff visionary than it is to nerf deja vu.

That isn’t the point. Anon mode players are able to see names & people’s profiles, which gives them more power to be toxic. I think OP is suggesting a change to combat the toxic anon mode players.
Players already have the option to turn off seeing other player's names in the settings.
If you are concern about toxic players harassing you, then you should turn on anon mode.
-
You can turn on anon mode yourself if you are concern about people viewing your profile or seeing your ingame name.
-
I only expect that he'll end up being worse for singularity mains.
-
So you want killers to be able to d/c out against unfavorable maps and survivors to d/c when they are the first found and make the game rather unplayable.
-
The game has been hovering around 30k active players with bursts when new chapters drop.
This isn't a new thing. This isn't the game dying.
-
There hasn't been a time over the last few years where a killer meta wasn't complained about.
-
Killers don't queue up to play against bots. People shouldn't feel like it's okay to leave just bc they get replaced by a bot.
Plus these requests never seem to consider what happens when killers can just freely d/c. Now killers will be empowered to just quit out of any game where they don't like the map choice, they don''t like the rng, the first chase takes too long, a gen is done too quickly, etc.
If aspects of the game bother you enough that you must leave games frequently, then just don't queue up to begin with.

Yeah...STBFL wasn't even a problem outside of it's camping and tunnelling potential and they nerfed everything but that.
Literally all it needed was to deactivate near hooked Survivors and not work on the basekit BT. That's it, weak Killers keep a good chase perk, strong Killers don't care, tunnelling and camping is less efficient, everybody wins.
So many people asked for something like this...
I don't even think STBFL was a problem when it came to tunneling or camping. With the anti-facecamp system, the killer is forced to have distance from the hook meaning it's possible for survivors to get a rescue before the killer can hit them with a M1.
Tunneling isn't a real issue given DBD is a 1v4 asymm.
-
Blocking doesn't prevent matchmaking from matching you with people you've blocked.
Hooks are simply an objective and killers are free to defend them.

I'm pretty sure these winstreaks are part of the reason content creators were unhappy with the soft cap being raised. Some seem to think BHVR have reverted the change (would love confirmation but I doubt we will get it) so it seems like they rely on matchmaking being as poor as it is in order to do these.
More strict matchmaking also makes queue times longer for these people as well. The combination of having long downtime and harder matches just isn't ideal for content creators and since DBD isn't a serious competitive game, BHVR has little incentive to treat matchmaking as such.

The problem with that is all the dodging wreaks their matchmaking system badly.
Which has never stopped anyone from lobby dodging.

Actually the killer can see Blast Mine- A trapped generator will have a flashbang sitting on top of it emitting faint amounts of smoke to warn the killer that the gen is trapped(although just about no one pays attention to it). That's why occasionally you can find a killer who certainly kicks gens, but will almost always actively avoid kicking trapped gens since some killers do look out for the warning sign.
Unless you have a screenshot from the killer POV of seeing the blast mine, this is false. Blast Mine has never been visible to the killer POV.
-
Just lobby dodge if it really bothers you to play with an anon player. It's really weird how people get when you can't stalk and harass someone by seeing their profile.
-
Chem Trap has very little feedback that it goes off unlike Blast Mine which you get notified about. If Chem Trap had a score event and some kind of boom sound for it going off, people might use it more since they'll be able to see the result.

If people dont want to play then they will not play. This solution sounds good in theory, but people will then just afk after the unhook and leave it until the killer comes back to finish them off (which most killers to be fair will) it just simply cannot be fixed if people do not want to play.
AFKing multiple games will get you reported.
Also at some point the person just needs to realize they don't want to play DBD and just stop queueing up.

You clearly didn't read my post. I quote: "I want to get stomped by perfect survivors sometimes." Just not most of the time.
I did read your post and it just comes off as being upset you can't win 90% of your games anymore. Which is fair, because if you were able to maintain a 90% win rate then you were more than likely facing opponents under your skill level too often.
-
What's not fair about being put against higher skilled opponents? You claim to have an 80-90% winrate, so you should be facing these teams.
I think you just need to accept that you're going to lose some games.
-
DBD only has a casual mode.
-
I think survivors need to stop expecting unhooks to be completely free and see them as an objective they may have to fight for.
-
Victor and guards are not considered killers. Guards have a build in feature where if you touch the hooked survivor and they are chasing you, it will end and you're not allowed to swap off of Victor too close to a hooked survivor.

The mobile version was coded from scratch by an entirely different team than BHVR. That's why they have different features than the PC/Console version.
I do wish they would recode the game. So many things could be added, like a match replay system, and bugs would likely be easier dealt with.
Recoding the game isn't a simple task that can be churned out. It's going to take years for them to recode everything. But importantly, I'm pretty sure the dev team is already slowly working on recoding aspects of their code.
We've seen some innovation stuff with some recent killers. Xeno's underground map, Chucky's 3rd person camera, Singularity's bipod cameras. I doubt any of this stuff was possible for them years ago.
-
Any killer will eventually win a 1v1 vs a survivor. Even if you are much better than the killer, that doesn't matter too much if the killer manages to kill the rest of your team and then you are stuck in a position where you will eventually lose.
I've had games where I outclassed the killer in chase, but they did the smart thing and refused to engage in chases against me and went after the rest of my team instead.

When people recommend Otz to take a break from DBD don't forget that DBD is literally his career. When your audience watches you for one thing in particular it's really difficult to steer away from that thing if it's how you're going to get paid. I get the intention of telling him to take a break, but it's really easier said than done.
Otz is a great guy who is clearly burnt out of DBD, what he should really do is play the game a little less often and maybe focus on playing DBD to have fun with friends like KYF or SWF rather than focusing on a much more informative route or committing to kill streaks (which he loathes doing).
I love Otz for his personality, he's incredibly charming, very charismatic, and a wholesome figure in the DBD community. Without him I have no idea where DBD would be at.
I think part of issue with being a DBD streamer is that there's not really another game similar to DBD that you can jump to that your audience may still enjoy.

People complained about camping as a whole. Killers are supposed to play the game aka defend generators and chase survivors after hooking. No standing 7 meters away and wait for a trade or second stage.
People were specifically complaining about facecamping.
Killers are suppose to kill the survivors. They can focus on defending gens, but they can also focus on defending hooks. Your opinion on hook defense is simply not the reality.

Again, it is a mindnumbing argument. Facecamping was never the problem, camping as a whole. It the impoverished equivalent of spawn camping, something any decent multiplayer game would have long since has banned/patched. But hé, core issues are still a problem in this game after almost a decade.
Your poor rhetoric is going off the assumption that everyone is on comms. Most players are not. Dealing with camping isn’t easy when uncoordinated
If facecamping was never the problem, then people wouldn't have complained about it.
The devs did something to combat facecamping, because they deemed it to be an issue, but have also said that defending hooks is a playstyle they don't want to remove.
-
The problem is that some killers don't really need to help and making a system that works differently depending on the killer being played wouldn't feel good either.
A possible idea is to apply a repair penalty for the first minute or until a survivor becomes injured. That way survivors can still progress gens they spawn by, but killers who can get a first hit in quickly won't benefit from the system nearly as much.
-
I don't think the devs themselves really do a lot of the reading. It's more likely a community manager or someone in a similar role reads through the feedback and compiles back a list towards the devs.
-
It's due to the elevation changes they did to make maps like RPD and the Game not just punish killers for patrolling above the hook.
I do think the stairs to the basement should be where the system calculates distance from for the face camping system.

Mikaela didn’t know how to loop, gave away 2 free hits, second of which she just stood still for. Bill ran up to you and took a free hit and then promptly dead-zoned himself, someone stayed hiding in a locker after they saw you checking lockers, David ran right into you going for a save, etc. Gens were repeatedly exploding because of numerous botched skill-checks, so clearly there was little experience on the Survivor side.
You carried multiple people past pallets without checking if anyone was near for the save. Other small things like using static blast while facing in a direction that you know nobody is in, which just wastes time. Without spamming the static blast or your aura perks, you seemed to have little ability to find anyone that didn’t run into you face-first.
Your entire strategy falls to pieces the moment a semi-competent team comes along. You’re talking like you’re the Big I Am, but really all you’ve done is creatively tank your MMR to keep yourself in lobbies with people that actively choose to dead-zone themselves or stop mid-chase.
You think everyone was having fun? People were coming to you to be hooked at one point. They only started throwing snowballs because that was literally the only thing you'd let them do. You were refusing to kill people while also refusing to let them finish even a single generator until YOU had had YOUR fun. You’ve lowered your MMR so you could bully weaker players and clearly keep them in a match longer than they’d like.
And then the best part: you let them all go. You’re reducing your MMR to the lowest possible point so you can bully people and delude yourself into thinking you’re fantastic. Actually, I’ll take that back. The best part is you got to P100 on Doctor by bullying people that are clearly new to the game.
It's a 25 minute match. Those don't normally happen unless someone is forcing the match to extend out longer than it needs to. I jumped around and there's no reason this game needed to be longer than 10 minutes.

Neither does the killer need tools for free down/kills. This forum loves being a stickler for words huh?! Please stop with the “but it stops FACEcamping”. It really is the most mindnumbing argument I have seen in a long time. How does it matter if the killer is camping in your face or from a few meters away? Well, it doesn’t. With hooks grabs being gone the result is exactly the same: a hook trade at best (for the survivor) or a slugging party/camped to death at worst. The mechanic was designed to stop getting survivors camped all game and give them time to “play” the game. So yeah, it still isn’t doing what it intended.
Killers who aren't right in the front of the hook are easier to secure a trade against.
Defending the hook from unhooks is a completely valid way to play.

There's no reason to. It's not like your opponents are going to play in a "fair" way back. Best to take advantage of the mistakes of your opponent regardless how they might feel about it.

Maybe it's really difficult to make everything work perfectly in the game, the problem is when you know that the killer is purposely wanting to break the system that was created to encourage them to play the game and not just stand in front of the hook,
No one is breaking the system. If they aren't standing right in front of the hook, then the system isn't intended to punished the killer.
-
Of all the games I play, DBD is the only one where I have legit concerns about someone in the match I just played decided to harass after the match. Therefore I use anon mode, because it help protects against that.
Honestly, I feel like the only people who want it removed are the people who help contribute to people switching to anon mode.
-
The feature isn't meant to counter all camping, just camping where the killer stands right in front of the hook. The system does the job it's intended to and survivors don't need tools for free unhooks.

Several killers have received tweaks but only Skull Merchant and Onryo have been more thoroughly reworked; as in their powers have been modified drastically. And both of them are stronger than they were before. I’d say those are great changes for the killer. Maybe when you’re thinking about how BHVR is gonna rework the twins, you should consider those examples. (:
A lot of old Onyro players don't like the new Onyro. Being stronger isn't the only thing that matters to the players of killers.
Trickster is also the most recent one and I don't think anyone had anything good to say about it.

Or, it could mean anything else. Truth is -we- don't know, but OP and yourself seem have the mindset to automatically think the most negative thing it could possibly be as fact. Nothing inherently wrong with that of course, just comes off as cynical and naive.
Best move at this point is to wait and see. Or continue with baseless banter and accusations. Entertainment for me regardless :)
Given some of the recent reworks, I think there's a good reason why many are more skeptical about the changes being good for the killer.

Yeah. Chucky is going to be garbage, now that many more loops counter his power, and he only gets one rush per long cooldown. I'm glad I didn't invest any time into this killer.
I didn't buy the dlc because I expected he'll get some random nerf within a couple weeks and none of his perks looked good enough.
Friends til the end is the only good perk but it's very easy to counter once you know it's in play.
-
The two week grace period is over.

Being a "party" game doesn't excuse bad manners. Neither side should just be able to quit out of a match without penalty.
