Counterpoint how about the game gets changed and fixed so it is fun? Or maybe add stuff to work towards or provide incentives for actually playing that aren’t paywalled? The game can be fun that’s why a lot of us tolerate it’s glaring list of issues
You can wait for changes while also not wasting your own time queueing up for games that you just quit out of anyways. But there's always the case that what dbd is and what you want dbd to be are not going to happen.

the only motivation for playing the game is fun and if the game isn’t fun in areas people will dc it’s that’s simple. There is nothing to work towards and the small stuff that is, is all paywalled so the main majority of players will play for fun. And when the games got copious amount of issues from bad map design, bad killer design, bad perk design, broken jank and bhvr’s seemingly lack of what knowing what to do with the game is showing. The dc penalty does nothing, there are loopholes and you can’t force someone who legitimately wants to leave to stay. Considering nothing is lost now when a match ends with the removal of pip removal it serves no purpose but to make the experience worse on top of the other factors
If the game isn't fun, then don't queue up.

this is false, dc’s have seemingly risen again recently and people are even dcing in droves on the chaos game mode. The game has a lot of frustrating elements, generally broken things and legitimately bad map, perk and killer designs that make complete sense why players can often be frustrated. The system just flat out doesn’t work and has several loopholes so it’s ultimately pointless. There would be little to no effect if it was removed
Sounds more like you are d/cing and getting annoyed there's a penalty to rage quitting. If you don't enjoy the game as it is win or lose, then why are you still playing?
-
There's significantly less DCs around when penalties are active compared to when they aren't. If anything, suiciding on hook needs a penalty, because it's been shown that penalties on rage quitting do reduce that behavior.
If you find yourself rage quitting games often that having a penalty is a problem, you need to figure out if you actually enjoy playing DBD.

I mean, I highly doubt that.
It’s not impossible you get the same perk twice or even thrice in a row, y’know.
DBD simply has a lot of players so the odds that a few players are experiencing situations where they seem to get the same perks over and over is highly likely.

But even without gens being done, he was also using insidious and it wasn't working. He said that's WHY he was using it in the first place - because insidious apparently countered the anti-camping thing. I can't say for sure but from what a teammate said, it was bypassing the anti-camping. I'll try and do a custom match with it and see if it's working then post it
If Insidious is actually preventing the anti-facecamping system from working, then it is a bug and should be reported as such. The only time the bar shouldn't appear is after the gens have been completed.
-
Were the gens completed, because using Insidious shouldn't have any effect

People do this everytime we get a killer who isn't just a slasher. Some people have very narrow views on what constitutes horror, when horror is perhaps one of the most vast genres that exists.

Wait...
Billionaire girl with fancy outfit and shiny mask, that kills people because she read manga her father made is more horror themed than undead wizard who was performing genocide, terror, created undead army, questionable experiments and eventually become terrifying, evil god?
O think your only complain here is that he is a wizard, and magic is not horror...
Well. It is. It's magic that brought evil dead which Ash originated. And more
There's some pretty terrifying spells that normal wizards can just learn without becoming a Lich.
A lot of enchantment magic can basically be mind control. Suggestion (2nd level spell) is basically the Jedi Mind Trick. Modify Memory (5th level spell) allows you to completely change a person''s memory of an event. Dominate Person (5th level) allows you absolute control over another person.
Then 9th level spells can literally bend reality.
Any Wizard (or spellcaster in general) who wants to dedicate themselves towards evil is a terrifying foe to face.

Killers DCing or AFKing used to be way more common a couple years ago when they were universally weaker. The same thing is happening to Solo Survivors now. 4 man’s are typically not the survivors who are DCing. Just like it wasn’t Nurses who DCed when Killer was weaker. They need to examine the reasons Survivors DC otherwise it won’t change. You won’t convince people to sit through a ten minute cutscene of them losing while they eat pallets/gen slowdowns.
Killer DCing died with penalties not actual strength.
Survivors also notably d/ced a lot when there was no penalties to do so before the 6.1 patch.
People aren't quitting, because their side is "weaker".
-
If a killer isn't rewarding to play, I just don't play them. Doesn't matter how good they could be in theory, my time is more valuable trying to make the killer work.
-
I see no reason why Weaving Spiders needs to have built in screaming protection. Run calm spirit if you want that.

Oh my. I wish I could say I was shocked that you didn't pick up on the sarcasm. 3 is still a lot though. :)
There's 4 hooks right in the basement adjacent to each other. We're looking at a hook per a tile which is hardly a big deal.
-
I don't see a 100 hooks in your picture.
Would you rather killers slug survivors to death?

Maybe we fix the things that cause the surrender?
- Create more balanced environment,
- get rid of broken meta builds,
- don't allow to stack 4 regressions?
- Rework mmr so i get surviviors on my level of skill?
- give us some tunneling prevention mechanism?
- give us the way to fight with slugging?
The people who are quitting the games will never be happy no matter what changes the devs make. Trying to balance the game around people who don't actually want to play games where they don't win easily is a terrible idea.
-
BHVR reduced the grind by making prestige auto unlock perks for all other characters, gives out monthly BP rewards for grade gotten, with the rift and challenges we have access to a lot of bp awards, and we have the bp bonus system for queueing the current least popular role.
Ultimately there's a lot of ways to get bloodpoints compared to the past that farming isn't really needed anymore. But on top of that the community isn't the small community it was before where people seeing 5 BPS would know to farm. In fact, the community is way more at each other's throats.
-
Survivors love to waste time despite getting mad at killers who waste time.
-
DBD is a pvp game. People on both sides are going to be playing to win. Expecting your opponent to not play to win regardless of the mode is setting yourself up for disappointment.
-
I hate that this crow charm is exclusive to this program.
-
So don't play dbd anymore? If you're going to complain about everything,I'm not sure why you are even still playing.
-
4 seconds is just fine. It wasn't even that bad at 3 seconds, but 5 seconds put its in an area where it's too good at being used offensively.
-
You really show them by posting this on the forums when you could have just ignored it and moved on with your day.
-
WoO is not nearly as required as old bt was. I see no reason the perks needs to be remotely made basekit
-
It doesn't matter how many times Skull Merchant gets changed. Survivors are still going to complain about her and give up without even bothering to learn how to play against her.

The hex literally reveals it aura to you. If you are having issues with plaything, that's on you.
-
You don't just d/c once and get a 13 hour penalty. You had to have seen the time penalty getting longer and longer and still kept deciding to d/c.
-
If you prefer TCM to DBD that is fine.
No real need to come on DBD's forums to tell people to go play TCM instead. Just like DBD players shouldn't be going to TCM forums telling them to play DBD instead.
-
Considering that people are complaining about people tryharding in Chaos Shuffle, not sure what you think adding a ranked queue will really bring to DBD.
-
You can opt into anon mode to hide your name. There's already a separate option to hide other player names that people can opt into.
-
A power that requires at least 3 hits and the status effect to allow his power to do damage is easily removed during chase was never going to be a strong killer.
Plus survivors can remove hallucinations reducing their ability to teleport as well.
People just didn't understand their kit very well at the start which gave the killer an advantage.
-
Wiggling is a mechanic that largely exists to prevent the killer from just bringing you to the basement every single time. It should not be buffed as a single survivor should never have the reliable ability to free themselves from the killer's grasp.
Also the devs are buffing sabotage on toolboxes this upcoming chapter.
-
with blight recent nerfs you could actually make an argument that billy is number 2 and blight is number 3.

When in chess you see that your opponent has a winning position and you surrender instead of prolonging the game to the obvious checkmate, does it make you "entitled, because the game didn't go the way you wanted to"? By the way, most of chess games end up with surrenders, because the defeat is usually obvious several moves before the actual checkmate.
Chess is a 1v1 game. In games like LoL where you are on a team, you have a vote surrender.
There's no valid excuse for giving up and screwing over your own teammates. If you don't want to play out games of DBD, then don't queue up in the first place.

The only reason i'd contest you using a word incorrectly is that I must be disagreeing with you on the topic of giving up. Okay buddy 😂
Which again goes back to defending rage quitting. Entitled players rage quit. Non entitled players do not rage quit.

how am i defending it? by saying you are taking this too seriously. which is a very neutral statement? 😂 okay, whatever you need to say to make yourself feel that i'm wrong and you're right.
It's the only reason you would want to contest the use of the word entitlement. Players who aren't entitled don't rage quit. It's only entitled players who can't handle the game no going the perfect way they want it to.

another misuse of the word entitlement lol, this dbd stuff is so serious to these people.
It is very entitled to queue up for a PvP game and dropping out, because X didn't go the way the you wanted it to.

You mistake the cause for the consequence. In your good soloQ games nobody quits precisely because they are good games, so there is no reason to quit. When survivors quit, it's usually because the game has a minuscule chance of a win, and therefore they decide it's not worth it staying here. The game is already bad and that causes survivors to quit as soon as they realize. And it might not be so obvious to you, and might seem as if the survivor let go with no reason, but that survivor just might have a better game sense, or seen something you didn't see, like auras of the other 2 teammates doing nothing, or one teammate staying AFK for a minute since the trial loaded, or he might have been sandbagged, or he was on a gen with the console Bill in green sweater who was missing skillchecks, and so on.
The actual issue is too many survivors have an entitlement how they think the match should go and way too many survivors give up without even giving the game a chance.
I've had a game where someone got caught early, immediately suicided on hook, and then the rest of still managed to get a 3 man escape because we were able to take the killer on extremely long chases and the survivor who quit just got caught out in a bad spot.
There's no other reasoning to rage quits other than the game wasn't go exactly how they wanted to and trying to fix the game for those players is an impossible task.
-
The funniest thing about these players, is they are the same ones who complained about Skull Merchant holding the game hostage til server timeout. I know this, because I've encountered a few while playing Skull Merchant after her changes and they gave me the reason that their hostage taking was justified because I was playing her.
Honestly I wish BHVR's reporting system was better at dealing with in-game behavior, because people like those need actual punishments and not just AFK crows.

I’m going to do a bit of us verse then.
If 80% to 90% of your games aren’t solo-queue, then you really don’t have a valid opinion on DCs and suicides in solo-queue. You absolutely don’t understand how ungodly miserable the solo-queue experience is until you play it that consistently.
if you’re playing killer or SWF, you may lose a couple of games before winning again. However, for the majority of solo-queue players, you are oppressively losing game after game after game. It’s common for solo-queue to lose 10 to 20 games in a row. Of course that makes people want to suicide or DC.Killer mains and SWFs are basically sitting in this bubble filled with abundant food and fertile fields while looking at these solo-queue players, in their bubble, that’s a desert with one serving of turnip stew and can’t understand why solo-queue players are giving up all the time.
Solo Queue would win more games if people weren't so quick to rage quit over what ever minor annoyance got to them.
I've had several good nights of solo queue where I got matched with decent players who didn't quit at the drop of a hat.
-
Lobby dodging happens before the match even starts. Also killers are not the only ones who can lobby dodge.
Giving up after the match has started basically condemns the rest of the survivors to a loss.
-
In Order:
Artist - Easily one of the strongest killers in the game. Only held back from a high skill ceiling and stronger easier to master killers existing. Some QoL to fix some of her kit clunkiness would be great.
Huntress - Really only held back by being somewhat map dependent. Even then, I don't think her worst maps are instant loses for her either.
Plague - If Corrupt Purge was always on, she would easily be the best. Since her Corrupt Purge isn't always online, she fits nicely here.
Unknown - Being able to hit through some walls and bouncing over objects is strong, they are held back by requiring at least 3 hits to down a survivor.
Deathslinger - Part of me really wants to put him dead last, because I feel Deathslinger really lacks an identity as a range killer. However, it's really hard to be worse than Trickster in this regard.
Trickster - Ultimately takes way too long to deal damage on top of being severely hurt by some maps that he might as well be unplayable on those maps.

What a weird comparison. It's an unserious game that isn't nearly as important as a sports match. Sports matches hold people's careers, DBD is literally just a video game that you can go next over if someone else does if it's genuinely made into an unwinnable match. You're free to dislike people who give up, but cut out the horrible comparisons that just make you look like you take this game far too seriously. 😂
If DBD is just a video game, why are you wasting your time on a video game you have no intention to actually play?

Patrolling a hook is DEFINITELY not the same as facecamping, except in the case of insta-down mechanics.
More than half the time it's still possible to get the unhook and run to a safe loop.
Some survivor players will never be happy with any system that isn't guaranteed free unhooks.
-
Unfornately the community has decided it's better to ruin games for other people than to attempt to play out any minor inconvenience. A problem that can only be solved by the devs removing the ability to let oneself die on hook.

yeah but they should be in fun gamemodes. that'd teach them a lesson. you gotta do SOMETHING to disencourage that behaviour. noone ares about the 1min and then 5min ban
The community wanted lenient penalties and the ability to suicide on hooks. This is the result of what the community wanted.
