The one benefit of the plus 1 invitation is that if it's the first modifier you don't need to find one to start using the powers.

I guess you weren't paying attention by the fact that literally ALL survivor abilities get countered by the killers abilities + their perks. Killers get to effectively SNOWBALL survivors by reducing stun, destroying pallets (Instantly) & Remote Hooking.
It's literally one sided and this ISN'T for debate.
Case in point. No gens done, all of us killed before even one gen pops; killer walked away with at least 45K+. (Vecna BTW) There is no room for killers to say "The games are still survivor sided." With displays like this that show STONE cold evidence that it's NOT. Please, get together.A single screenshot is not evidence of anything
-
You can't really compare the killer event powers to survivor event powers bc killer powers will be individually stronger since it's a 1v4.

Yes 30K is cool EXCEPT when you see the killer with a 30-40K BASE meaning you’re walking out with 30K total and they’re walking with over 200K. You talk about exponential growth? How many cakes would that 200K buy? Thats the issue they’re referring to and what’s upsetting people. People are trying to maximize during this event and walking out with a normal BP haul during an event with 5 BP offerings is demoralizing.
I’m not advocating not bringing cakes but please don’t be disingenuous like you don’t see the issue they have. It’s clearly upsetting to go into a match with 5 BP offerings and be tunneled or camped out and see that you’re only walking with that 30K while you know the killer is in 6 figure digits after they just ruined the game for you.So play killer then.
You're just trying to create a problem from where non-exists.
-
I think a lot of people have an unfair expectation that killers are going to start "farming", because it's an event that awards a ton of BP.
-
Survivors used to have absolutely no protections against being camped and tunneled off hook.
Keys could be used to get a full team escape and created nasty 3-gen situations where the killer couldn't kill a survivor without losing to a 3-man hatch escape.
Moris used to work after first hook instead on death hook.
Nurse used to be able to have 5 blinks and had addons that increased blink distance also increase blink speed which made it impossible for any survivor to juke nurse.
Maps used to be way less balanced.
Modern DBD has it's own faults, but it's by far more balanced than the previous incarnation of DBD. Old DBD today would be a nightmare with how good players have gotten on both sides.

I get how this is killer mains only. Clearly cause I see mostly only about 6k bp for survivors so why would we help inflate Kille mains who don’t think about others.
You care way too much about this.
If you don't want to use offerings, don't. If you want extra bloodpoints and use a BP offering, it doesn't matter if your opponent also benefits.
Frankly, I've only seen survivors get less than 10K BP if they played badly or were someone who suicided on first hook.
-
If you don't want to use offerings, don't use offerings. No one is forcing you to in the first place.

Let's be real here. If a killer wanted you out of the game, REGARDLESS of OTR, DS, or BT; they'll take you out the game without hesitation, there isn't much a survivor can do to ESCAPE getting tunneled out of a game if a killer commits themselves to it. We're talking full on IGNORING other survivors no matter the circumstances, even if they're body blocking, even if they're flashlight saving, no matter WHAT they do.
It creates a snowball that curbs the game in SECONDS because a 4 v 1 can be considered an even match despite the fact it's not, but the moment it's a 3 v 1; it's OVER, especially if there's still gens to do. ( It happens too often to be brushed aside.)
But there's EVERYTHING a killer can do smack a gen and hit you with a regress that'll take you from a 90% to a 40% in just a couple of seconds, there's everything a killer can do to make the game living hell to actually play. The majority of the power system stems from the killer, we're at a stage where killers can play a match and win with little effort, even to competent players.
Also, the argument "The killer's job is to kill you" Falls short when I bring in the point that the point of survivor is to " Survive by any means. "
- Which results in flashlight saves, CJ Techs, Saboing hooks, body blocking; Swfing…all things killers consider powerful, annoying or overly toxic.
It's disingenuous and MOVES the goal post, not to mention; what that essentially says is, "If a killer can't effortlessly get kills, the game isn't fair." Which…no one wants, yes?No idea what you are going on about, because I made no mention that the killer should get kills with no effort. But if the killer is effortlessly killing you, there's a different problem at play and it's not tunneling.
-
The problem is that there's nothing innately wrong with tunneling. Saboing just got buffed and can be used to deny hooks which is a way to counter tunneling. You have perks like DS and OTR and you have basekit BT to prevent being killed immediately off hook.
The killer's main job is to kill you. If they want to focus you out, there is nothing wrong with it. Just like how survivors are free to focus on getting individual gens done and not just run around equally progressing every gen.
-
The perk does 3 things.
1st, the first time an item depletes to 0 charges it is automatically dropped.
2nd, dropped survivor items have their auras revealed to the killer and the auras of survivors within 12m of the item. This can be from any means and not just due to the perk's own effect.
3rd, a survivor picking up an item suffer oblivious for 20/25/30 seconds.
-
Don't expect bans for exploiting bugs, Legion's infinite mending was an exception because it was before the killswitch and it was being used to create endless games as this was also before the match ending after an hour.
-
I would sure hope that dedicating half my perks for a single perk resulted in a strong effect as killer.

They got nerfed for a reason, maybe kill rates too high?
regards what killer nerfs happens there's always going to be people complaining killers are too strong.
-
Did you know killers recently got a bunch of their best perks nerfed? At some point it's not the strength of the killer that is the problem.
-
I don't see why people would pick a mode where the chance a perk they use is banned. Also kind of weird to call a mode that is trying to create an equal footing between sides as the "casual" mode. Generally casual modes are more unrestricted and ranked modes are more restricted.
-
If Eruption didn't eat up 2 of the regression events killers have, it would be okay. But the fact that it does eat up 2 regression events for the killer makes it a pretty bad option.
-
@TeamSoloQ said:
I don't understand why they didn't add anti camp to downed bodies, common sense. I have had killers who just hump the bodies until bleedout, but somehow that isn't bannable lol.
Because the downed body can move itself.
-
Whenever a trial takes more than 15 minutes, people start complaining. So it's no surprise that devs would nerf ways to extend the match forcing both sides needing to play as aggressive and fast as possible.
-
It's bad, but it's also sadly still one of the better options for regression.
-
Pain Res and Pop are still the best regression perks, because they knock the highest value per an event.

Really? I remember it taking a hook but in fairness I ran them only a couple of times.
It got changed pretty early in the game (2017) to requiring a hook.

That's not how good and bad ideas work. If I proposed the old Moris system come back and survivors could be killed off first hook, most people would rightfully say it's a bad idea. Because it is. It doesn't make me a survivor main to think that's a bad idea. It's just a bad idea.
The original incarnation was that mori offerings allowed you to kill survivors in dying state with no hook requirement.

Yeah because they have a rank and want to keep that rank will only want to play when they are ready for the challenge and also just practicing. People in most casual modes in most games play for fun since there really is no point in "winning" or practicing.
Even people who "play for fun" will still play to win. We already see that in DBD's current queue as it's already a casual queue. Adding a ranked queue is not going to stop people from playing the same way they do now in a casual queue.
-
There's four survivors and each survivor can bring a copy of the perk. The reason why survivor perks can't be too strong is because of numbers.

Theres a perk for that
Did you know there's a perk to block your aura being read.

A Nurse's calling has an issue too with it…
Nurse's calling at least can still show the aura of a healthy healer, but yes it would really hurt nurses as well.

Sure, if injured survivor actually work slower on gens. They are injured, why should they be equally efficient?
50% should do the trick, that would motivate survivors to heal.
Funny to say "keep aura reading as it is, then nerf it into oblivion"
Also Alien Instinct only shows the aura of an injured survivor so it would automatically become a gutted perk if this change were to go through.
It's clearly not a well thought out idea

Seen this SO much more with Vecna though…
Vecna is new and Vecna's pickrate is going to be much higher this week. You're just falling in with confirmation bias.
-
I just don't get what the end goal here is. Survivors don't like 4 slowdown perks, Survivors don't like chase perks. Survivors don't like information perks, Survivors don't even like the killer running 2 perks just to get value from a single perk.
Just say you want killers to run perkless.

Oversimplification of the post is an oversimplification.
Not really. I've seen this happen many times.
-
Survivors can't really force killers to kick a gen compared to forcing grabs with active ds. Plus survivors who are aggressive with ds are very in your face annoying.
But more importantly blast mine has been complained about. It's just not a very popular perk.
-
Killer runs build that isn't just 4 slowdown perks, gets complained about.
Build eventually gets nerfed and killers return to running 4 slowdown perks
Survivors complain about 4 slowdown build.
-
Most hexes aren't really high reward either. Hexes are just in a spot where they are too weak to justify risking losing them immediately into the match.
-
Iron Will has a pick rate of 3.24% or Top 31 most pick perks according to nightlight. Considering there's 140 survivor perks in the game and it's still seeing decent use, it's really not nearly as bad as some of you portray it has. You just have a be a bit smarter with how you play around Iron Will.

Well that sucks.
I made a thread suggesting changes on the new survivor perks, with the only downside to those changes I bothered listing being 'the effort and resources required to make those changes.' Something tells me not to be too hopeful on those changes anymore… not that I was before, but still.—
That said, I'm curious what positions those layed off had.
If you check out behaviour's website, they're hiring quite a few artists and game designers as we type, including a position for an unannounced IP. That suggests to me that DBD is still doing well, making money, and they can justify pumping more resources into it (hope rekindled?).I am assuming the layoffs were related to other internal projects then, with a focus on roles that were not artists or programmers, since I would assume they would just attempt to reallocate those resources into the positions that are currently open into their website.
Maybe that means layoffs focused on roles like marketing, artists whose styles don't fit with DBD, underperformers? Maybe even supportive roles like customer service reps, IT, etc. since there's less people to support?
Either way, I think DBD is probably peachy, fine, and dandy.
—
That said, feel bad for those layed off - wish them well and good luck with their next employer.
job postings are not always an indicator that a company is actually hiring. A lot of companies keep postings active to show investors they are still growing even if they have no intention to fill the advertised roles. Sometimes the role is already filled by someone in the company.
-
The current iteration is already good at making it not usable in chase and since the perk can track the killer perfectly I don't see a reason why the activation duration needs to be shorter.
-
Gens take 90 seconds with a solo survivor. Each survivor can work on their own gen. A 4+ minute long chase should be all 5 gens done. If survivors aren't doing gens while the killer is being led on a long chase, no amount of killer punishments is really going to save you there.
-
This isn't a vecna problem. There's plently if survivors who rage quit if they can't get it their way
-
Huntress is fine. She does not need buffs right now.
-
The fact you are locked into a 15 second animation just to get a variable bonus added to skill checks that is based on an aura around you is not worth it at all.
Too much of a time commitment for such an rng effect.
-
It was bhvr's poor attempt to add counterplay to coh so they didn't need to nerf it.
Now it's just outdated because coh got the nerfed it needed and is no longer an issue to need such a hard counter.

I don't think the dice rolls are actually 'rare.'
I also had a 1 roll in this game.
If you remove the die roll, it's just a 5% chance to get an artifact. Between 7 chests that I believe also refresh over time, you should see the artifacts decently often.

Havant played it yet, do they need to have attuned or is it only if they haven't attuned or is it just whenever?
I haven't played myself either, but this is from the wiki:
Survivors attuned to the Eye of Vecna or the Hand of Vecna with an accumulated 2 Hook Stages are vulnerable to The Lich recovering his Artefact from them.
-
When a survivor with the hand or eye of vecna is in dying state and on death hook, you have a prompt to retrieve artifact which is a mini mori like Sadako.
-
Artist also can't place her Crows near hooks which I don't think was ever needed
-
The strength of the power is the ability to force survivors into bad positioning. If they crouch to dodge, you simply walk up to them and hit them.
The first clip you should have just swung as they can't be crouch and throw the pallet forcing a hit either way.
If you hit them in the 2nd clip, they would have just had a sprint burst to make a different tile. You got a hit either way since you zoned them.

I mean he'd still be able to do it with a normal one it just wouldn't be as long with distressing. The claurophobia distressing unnerving sloppy can be fairly annoying to face against on smaller end maps.
This build has nothing to defend against gens and doesn't really do much if survivors just don't heal in the first place or if they have tools to heal health states like Inner Healing.
You can also do the same thing on Doctor even though he only has 32m TR as he has addons to increase the TR. And doctor is more innately annoying with the same build on a small map due to his power affecting the location and direction or skill checks.
-
Wesker being able to better utilize TR perks is a neat bonus and don't really want to see that taken away, because I'm tired of killer perk synergizes getting gutted.
