  • Actually, they should be harsher on DC's. Start leading to account bans.

  • Didn't your parents teach you to respect your elders. If it wasn't for Jason (and many other slashers) you wouldn't be here posting for him to not be in the game till later.

  • I hope we get music from the games.

Also would be awesome if they fit Dracula's 2nd form in somehow. Like if the gens are powered he transforms or something.

You misread. I said that "People complaining about the nerfs need to remember the treatment Ruin and Call of Brine got," meaning that at least Pain Res and Pop didn't get the treatment that Brine and Ruin got.

When I said that "these perks" are still viable, I meant Pain Res and Pop. I thought that was self-evident.

    Oh word. My bad.

  • Like where does that end tho? People would want hooks removed if that was possible. All I see is take take take from either side with nothing to compensate. If anything, Id like to know if at higher MMR if any of this is that much of an issue at lower MMR. Because at some point you have to ask yourself if it's honestly something wrong with the game or is it a skill issue?

Maybe that's why BHVR avoids the topic because they don't want to tell their community that a lot of them are not very good.

I am not trying to be mean but like the line has to be drawn somewhere. Can't completely remove all options of one side of the game.

  • Nemi is fine. There is counter play even to that and it helps make him stand out from Xeno. Not to mention Nemesis is pretty weak overall since his Zombies can be really chaotic. Either really useful (like blocking the exit of the basement, that was fun game) or be completely useless.

What do you mean "old"? BHVR released two top 10 killer pickrates in 2024 alone.

Sure but you are completely missing my point. They are picked now because they are held up by the gen slow down perks. Not to mention that pick rates are also so off base in terms of stats because you have to pay for the other killers. Which is why all the base ones are in the top 10.

Even if you want to get into Kill rates, those are meaningless because they cover ALL MMR. They are not gonna be good numbers because the bulk of it is new people or people who are just bad at the game. Id love to see them release what the rates are at different brackets. Can't be that difficult to release two more images. Just make one for high, mid, and low. And I gaurantee you are gonna see different rates.

  • @hailxsatanxeveryxday said:

As far as the 8.0.0 changes go, they're clean, healthy nerfs. They're a tiny bit weaker, but they'll still be very strong, and killers will be able to get plenty out of them without them being as oppressive as they can be in certain builds on certain killers. I'm personally still going to keep running all of those perks as much as I do now.

People complaining about the nerfs need to remember the treatment Ruin and Call of Brine got. At least these perks are still viable.

I'm not a big fan of getting only 20% instead of 30%, since I'd like to be as oppressive as possible and curb-stomp every group of survivors that comes through, but it's understandable from a gameplay balance perspective. And it if means the end of BU+FTP, I'm not complaining.

Ultimate Weapon, on the other hand, was overnerfed into oblivion, and nobody at all is ever going to run that again, which is disappointing since the original nerf they gave it was enough.

Honestly, I didn't think it affected gameplay all that much when DS was originally nerfed to three seconds, and I also didn't really notice any changes in game flow when they re-buffed it to five. The only thing DS needed was to deactivate during the endgame.

When I play survivor, I've never used any anti-tunneling perk other than OTR on a regular basis.

Ruin and Call of Brine viable? LOL

You might be the only person who thinks that. No one runs those perks EVER anymore.

Show me a build made by someone who''s good at the game that uses either.

They did nerf gen rush. The gen tap nerf, reworked BNP, prove nerf are already in play. Not to mention that killers base kick got buffed as well, which no one asked for.

This is just the 'what have you done for me recently' problem. Not everything change requires a compensation buff. That mentality is the pinnacle of entitlement.

You can really tell when someone never plays killer just by their words lol. Sounds like to me you are a survivor main trying to downplay it so they don't nerf it. And those changes werent anything.

  • @ad19970 said:

I disagree. I think in general these changes are healthy for the game. If killers will struggle too much with gens, BHVR can instead buff some basekit mechanic for killers. But I am really not sure if that will be needed, considering the current kill rates.

I do believe these changes are generally good, making multiple gen slowdown perks not as oppressive anymore. I've been playing Singu with Surge and Sloppy as my 2 slowdown perks and have been doing pretty well. I think the slowdown perks that are getting nerfed will still be good enough.

Unless you can give killers base kit insane transversal like Blight or Nurse. There is nothing they can change to a killers base kit for them to keep up. All survivors need is one person up and about and they can complete a gen on their own at an extreme pace. If the changes go through expect to see a ton more Nurses and blights. These changes SHOULDNT go through unless they nerf gen rushing. After the new killer has been out for a while, the killer queue is gonna die because no one wants to try and play extremely sweaty every game to try and not let it end in 3 min.

  • @I_CAME said:

They're probably afraid to buff weak perks in large numbers considering how disastrous it has been in the past. Buffing weaker perks is what led to the eruption meta and things like FTP+Buckle Up.

Problem is they keep adjusting the same 8 perks lol

  • @Choaron said:

Plenty of "weaker killers" are and have always been among the most played ones. Just look at the last official stats. They've constantly been buffing even A tier killers nowadays as well by the way… The real question should rather be when are they finally going to stop making us feel like we're handicapping ourselves whenever we're using a killer that's not named Nurse.

A lot of those stats are extremely old at this point. I should say that this is in response to the slow down perk nerfs.
The weaker ones needed these perks to compete. Could see a dip in those killers now.

They've said numerous times they have limited bandwidth per update. That's why it can seem slow.

That sounds like a problem they need to solve.

  • @LeFennecFox said:

They've been consistently making basekit buffs to struggling killers for a while so I'm not sure what you mean

Sure. But once every 4 months or so is way too slow. Also, kicking the only crutches those killers have out from under them in the meantime isn't helping. So the weaker killers should deal with being even worse till when they are able to eventually get around to it?

  • @Mooks said:

Honest question. It feels like they don't want anyone playing killer at all

yeah, BHVR wants the players to only queue up as survivors with no killer players left whatsoever so that their successful game finally dies completely off because they are obviously tired to create new content for this game.

Also, definitely never seen any updates that would favor killer side. You are right. Nothing. At all.

I mean they can throw in AI and I bet the playerbase would love that. Then it can play exactly to everyones liking. No more camping or tunneling.

  • @ad19970 said:

Going against a 4 stack of slowdown should at least feel a bit more manageable now. Which is good, but on the other hand, this also hurts people that only used one or two slowdown perks, and those might now use three or four. Though that's just a wild guess to be honest.

In general I think these changes are fair though, if killers start to struggle too much because they don't have enough slowdown, maybe some basekit changes could be added. But then again I still am hoping for some more nerfs to tunneling and camping.

Or you know. They could nerf gen rushing. They are not addressing the issue at its core.

I chuckled at the "Make the report button actually work."

I agree with this sentiment entirely. DBD is clearly a successful game. New players could thrive a lot better if an actual effort was made to curb the negativity of some players. Effort usually means money, sure, but the potential of growth increases and helps cancel out some of the money invested while providing a better experience on the whole to all players.

You reminded me of a gaming quote I made up before: Just because we're trying to eviscerate each other with rusty spoons does not mean we can't be gentlemanly about it.

Exactly. Getting rid of the toxicity would help make losing feel a lot worse. It's irritating when people are taunting you and your losing on top of all that. If the game had a more of a feeling of playing with friends and messing around and not trying to litterally RP the setting of the game then it might a little nicer lol.

But yeah the new player expirence is a whole other box of issues and honestly I think DbD is the absolute WORST game for new players. Which is why I never recommend it to anyone new. You need to invest too much time and money to get to a playable level. Not to mention how little you get for buying the game off the bat.

  • Brother your other perks got buffed to hell and you took the time to whine about one perk losing 1 second. At this point admit you don't want any nerfs at all.

The last sentence here, is something very true. We do remember the negative moments more than the positive ones, it seems to be human nature and that's pretty sad, we have a tremendous amount of lovely people in the community and I am sure they far outweigh the bad actors, just that our minds automatically focus on the negative ones.

Unfortunately, the internet allows people to behave in a specific way without repercussions and those that are inclined, take advantage of that fact.

I'd love if we can remove toxicity from gaming in general, they are supposed to be fun after all. Am welcome to hearing all ideas that people have for making this happen or at least improving how things feel.

    • A few suggestions

      - Good behavior system that rewards people for not being an ass. Like more BP or shards. (Can only kudos the other side or non party members)
      - Make the report button actually work
      - Can't be hard for the game to detect people spamming crouch or even add a mechanic that makes it so that if they do it in succession it slows them.
      - Harsher penalties for leaving or disconnecting from a games
      - Hires more mods to monitor after game chats or perhaps a community judgement system like LoL (could backfire)

No matter what its going to requrie some sort of financial investment. The OP is right that DbD is one of the most toxic communitys out there. At the end of the day this is something the company shouldn't turn to ask fans about. You guys are the ones that are the devs. (And I know you are trying to help so I am not directing this at you personally for asking but its that you have to ask says the company isnt planning to do much currently.) I will say it is very frustrating that very often nothing is said from the team about the issue and it does come off that BHVR doesn't mind their game being associated with the fact that it's one of the most toxic games to play. At least something saying "Hey, we don't have an exact solution but we hope to have one by X amount of time".

The game is already extremely unfriendly to anyone who is new. So the last thing you guys need is people telling others "Oh you are looking at getting DbD? Game is fun but the community is extremely toxic so it might be best to just avoid playing." You can never really ELMINATE it but there is a lot that can still be done to get rid of it.

  • @Atom7k said:

I quitted dbd 6 weeks ago and honestly I have not missed it. I used to play almost every day but now I don't even consider it worth staying installed anymore. Not even new chapters will make up for the atrocious amount of toxicity in this game.

A friend talked me into trying it one more time after having such a long break. Worst possible idea. I don't know what happend in the last weeks but this game became more toxic then Modern Warfare 2 in its prime (believe me I was there).

So I agreed on playing 5 matches and the result is:
    - in 2 matches half the surivor quitted the game even though they had 2 flash lights map offering and hatch offering
    - in 1 match there was a scripted bot who would just walk randomly over the map and do nothing.
    - 1 match half the survivor gave up seconds into the game
And then there was this toxic monstrosity of a match:

You cannot tell me that this was a coincidence. This was obviously a swf with 2 flash lights, map offering, sirynge medkit and 3!!!!! FTP BUCKLE UP including background player and unbreakable twice.
This match the pinnacle of toxicity and I thought I have seen everything. They tbagged me all the time, clicked around with their flash lights and FTP Buckled Up 4 times in my face. At this point I cannot believe this disgusting combination is still allowed in the game but here we are. Needless to say I wasn't able to kill one of these rats. Of course I was made fun of in the endgame chat too.

I don't like repeating myself but I will say it one last time. Do! Something! About! Toxic! Surivors!. I noticed even a lot of content creators have stopped playing. Your game is dying bhvr. Do something. And no fixing a 5 years old Plague "bug" won't do the trick.

I mean you obviously never played LoL or DoTA.

The community is toxic but I think people confuse whats toxic versus "X side should act as a dungeon master so that I can enjoy the game the way I want to".

  • It doesn't align with their vision that killer should be as miserable as possible to play as possible unfortunately.

  • They won't because the game is absolutely one of the most miserable when you are losing on either side. If they did add it then people will realzie this game isn't fun to play most of the time lol. Honestly if they balanced the game and did more to squash people trying to force the game to be hyper competetive then it would be a lot better. But we all know the balance team has one guy working on it which is why it takes them 3 years in some cases to fix broken ######### lol.

BHVR can do some things really great but in other areas like balance, map design, and sometimes perk desgin. They can really come off as super incompitent. Like seriously whomever made RPD and the undone perk might need to be moved to a different team.

  • If anything, they need to slow down gens. They currently go way to fast and one person is all you need to pop each gen withn less than 5 min or so. If you slow them down then people will have less incentive to use slowdown perks. Hell, nerf them to compinsate for the difference and buff some of the niche perks along side it. But as it stands, slow down perks are 100% necessary because of how fast gens can be currently completed. Its to keep the game from being over in 3 minutes.

Yes and no. Other games still take lower skilled players into consideration when making changes. And dbd has a looot of things that hurt casual play.

That's completely understandable. TBH a lot of this can be fixed with a casual mode and a ranked mode. Make casual a lot more loose MMR and Ranked tighter.

I will not be watching that video for the fourth time. I saw it when it came out, and I have watched it every time you've linked it.

I absolutely DARE you to watch what happens if we balance for comp players. Hell, balance for me. You absolutely will not like it, nor will the VAST majority of players.

Now, YOU may be fine with the game dying and having a measly playerbase, but I highly doubt BHVR wants to lose that revenue. They are a business, first and foremost, and they will generally err on the side of the majority consumer. That means the casual player, if we get to a point where the majority consumer if a comp player, we've gone down a dark path indeed.

I mean if you watched the video that many times and still argue for the other side of the argument with nothing that makes any sense or anything for you to point to and say "See? Here's an example of why it doesn't work!' is just wasting your time and admitting you have no clue what you are talking about and you don't want to bother with getting better. One way or the other it's not good for the health of the game.

Literally every other game on the planet balances around the top players. Thats literally the best way to balance the game because who wants to be punished for getting better at the game? Once your players reach higher MMR they are not gonna wanna play anymore because it's extremely unbalanced. Most of the time those changes rarely have a negative impact on players who are at a lower level. As it often targets methods, strats and etc that lower level players don't understand or even know about.

You can't balance a game around people who struggle to even boot the game up. Especially in a game where there's two very distinct sides. If it was a fighting game or a shooter you could just use broken strat but there is no option here for that.

Otherwise you are gonna have people trying to yank their MMR so they can get better matches. The game should make you STRIVE to do better not worse. You are straight up talking about making the game a worse experience as you go on. There's only so much you can do when the other side has a plethora of handicaps.

  • @Quizzy said:

What are we gonna do about rapid brutality + stbfl?

What are we gonna do about noed+no way out?

Trust. We can go tit for tat if people wanna go at it.

Most of those are trash because anything right now that isn't gen slow down is horrible. And guess what? They have counter play!

NOED is shut down through removing the totem, you can stand by the gate for no way out to start it immediately as soon as a gen pops.

You have so many perks that make you so fast that rapid brutality is negligible, stbfl can be beat by taking body hits as the obsession but even then you have several perks, endless amounts of pallets, several maps with infinite loops that you can abuse to easily avoid it.

Survivors are the ones that refuse to adapt to anything. Seriously, try playing killer for a while because I can tell you don't. I play survivor often and I can tell you it's the easiest role I ever played in a video game.

  • Love that people want to make things worse for a role they obviously don't play. It's like some survivor mains want all killers to leave the game.

  • @Orthane said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/398179/devs-its-time-to-address-three-genning

Gen speeds are already way too fast, 2-3 gens pop within 90 seconds in high MMR, and if people are using Toolboxes hope you found 1 person to tunnel so you can get 1 kill. People resort to 3 genning because the game is still Survivor sided and it's way too hard for most killers to even be able to compete against the abundance of pallets, super strong main building on nearly every map, OP toolboxes, OP endurance and move speed perks, like seriously if a survivor has Lithe and uses it at a TL wall they can just fly across the map and you instantly lose chase because of 1 perk. This is why 3 genning is a thing, because a lot of players feel like they don't have any other way to actually win. Nerf the perks people use for 3 genning I guess, but gen speeds in general need to be slower.

They are not gonna nerf gen speeds. They WANT the game to be survivor sided because survivors are where their cash whales are. If you saw the stream, they have nothing but nerfs for killers down the line. Even Sloppy Butcher which is barely used is getting "updated".

You can't play the game at higher MMR without slow down perks at all because of how fast gens go but they don't care. Sure there will be more "updates" to some of the weaker killers but that won't change no one but blight or nurse can keep up with the insane tools survivors have. Nurse and Blight are only really good because they can get to gens fast enough to do something about it.

3 Gen is has counter play which is to just focus gens that are close together but the thing is survivor players DONT want to counter play anything. If anything requires them to do anything but run, vault, and throw pallets, and the occasional killer mechanic like the box then they will lose their mind and throw a fit until BHVR comes to the rescue. This is road map they showed today is the road map to the decline of the game. No one is gonna wanna play killer because of having to play with meta perks to do anything (which they will likely nerf those too) and you can't do any fun or branch out because within one miniute of the match starting and you landed your first hit, 3 gens pop. One person alone shouldn't get a gen fixed so fast on their own.

  • And BHVR sits there wondering why they have to offer 100% blood points to killer so often. They nerf anything remotely good for killer before it has a chance to breathe. But slept on MTF for years (and historically pretty much any survivor perk).

A nerf to a perk that wasn't already meh to begin with is now going to be completely worthless and it can be yours for only $9.99! You want to play Chucky don't you? Sucks he's already gonna have a perk that's dead on arrival.

Everything else in your post I could get on board with, but this I cannot even begin to decipher. Literally the only thing I think you could possibly mean is like "oh no poor me, I only got 2 coup stacks this game because the survivors only had enough time to get one gen done before I sacrificed them all," and I know that can't actually be what you mean. Please clarify

I know this is late but the game punishes you for getting a hit on a survivor. You slow down, unable to act, and they speed up. And don't tell me the reward is them being able to heal out of the health state with items that have unlimited stacks lol. I know they litterally don't but lets be real whens the last time that has ever ran out on anyone in a match? It's pointless to exist.

Your constant complaints about how hard killer is makes a lot more sense now. You're just bad,I'm sorry.

You misunderstand how to play this game fundamentally and blame it instead of your mistakes. Killer is in a great spot right now,if you're struggling it's due to your opponents outskilling you.

    "Ur just bad lolol"

So like do you have a counter argument or? I am certain my MMR is higher than yours.

You have no understanding of game balance and it shows. If you have nothing to say to refute what I am saying and can only misdirect then you have no argument.

  • @Annso_x said:

Make terminus basekit: No, why should we reward killers because survivors completed their objectives ? Should we also give a gen speed buff to survivors everytime someone is hooked ?

Insta-down thing: Wouldn't stop survivors tbagging at the gates, they'd just leave before getting hit (as they already do against deathslinger, PH, twins...) literally just a free killer buff that wouldn't solve anything.

Shorten the endgame significantly: I highly doubt this would be a good idea. It would probably end up backfiring one way or another, especially for killers with endgame builds.

About "Except solos": and how exactly would that work ? not only punishing people for playing with friends is silly, but what about lobbies with 2 solos 1 duo ? 1 solo 1 trio ? 2 duos ?

"Nerf adrenaline": No idea what adrenaline has to do with taunting at the gates but the perk had existed since forever and has always and still is absolutely fine. Also suggesting to compensate the nerf with a basekit speed boost to all survivors in the current meta is certainly bold.

"Endgame is survivor sided": Yep, just like the game feels killer sided when 2 survivors are hooked and one is down. It's usually what it feels like when your opponent is winning. Is a comeback possible ? Yes, especially if you are ready for this situation (endgame build, unbreakable and whatnot). Is a comeback likely ? Not usually, but again that's normal considering you're losing

Finally "there's 0 urgency to go through the gates": Unless it's a bug there's supposed to be a killer who's trying to kill survivors and can literally just chase them right out the gates, which they can open if survivors are taking too long for their taste

    • Make terminus basekit: Because the game constantly gives survivors safety nets when THEY make mistakes? Got hit? Here is a speed boost AND a protection from a hit. On top of the fact that the killer is slowed down and stuck in an animation. Basically being punsihed for doing your objective.
    • Insta-down thing: Again survivors get something added base kit each patch. Obviously BHVR isn't above giving random buffs. Either way they need motivation to go.
    • Shorten the endgame significantly: Why did you even bring up this point only to say "lol i donno?"
    • It's in every single meta build. Just because it hasn't been nerfed doesnt mean its fine. Spirit was OP as ######### for two years. Do you think that its fine because it was left alone? What kind of logic is that?
    • "Endgame is survivor sided: What an awful comparason. There is a huge difference where you can easily make a comeback versus where it's incredibly rare to do anything unless you have a build for it specifically.

It's clear you dont play killer so it's fine. I play both and I get out about 85% of my games. I never played a side in a game where my hand was held harder on top if it requiring barely anything on you to learn about the game.

  • "I think they should impliment a button that let's me win when I lose. " - Suvivors eventually.

I do agree with you to some extents about the second chances for survivors on this event BUT balancing the game around a bug that basically makes fast vaulting useless which lead to awful experiences against any killer because your timming is just totally incorrect with the current vaults on females is just silly dude , killers dont need that to be playable.

I want maps to be balanced? YES , I want MFT to be nerfed? hell YEAH , I want low tier killer buffs? TOTALLY.

but i dont want the game to be balanced around a mechanic being broken for the sake of making the other side more easier + vaults are already terrible against laggy killers before being broken , but now is just totally BS for females once again.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3571235#Comment_3571235

they vault at the same speed , however they no longer gain any distance from the window and you have to move forward after fully fast vaulting to prevent getting hit ; now add latency on top and yeah...is just terrible for females.

Oh so it's a bug. Yeah no that's just classic BHVR.

  • I think some survivors want a Dungeon master or someone to play like a bot. Someone to give the illusion of a challenge but not too hard so that they lose the game. They want someone who will pull punches. Like I can understand that you dont want a sweaty killer as much as killers dont want sweaty survivors but there needs to be some level of challenge and it often sounds like they dont want any or at least reduce their skill ceiling so that they dont need to learn anything advanced with the game.

Main issue is BHVR takes their complaints to heart. Even if it is at the cost of the killer expirence. I mean there is a reason why the queue is getting longer and longer. You already play the hardest role in the game and get bereated for even playing it. I think the game needs a matchmaking versus bot so these players can finally have the killer they want.

  • A-are you serious? Are we playing the same game? The game has so much safety nets for survivor that it's insane. Gens go extremely fast and the game constantly forgives you for making mistakes. On top of an event that has WAY better benefits for you. Meanwhile killer is constantly punished for playing well and continues to get more and more restrictions.

  • They will do nothing about it. Mostly because its a temprorary event but also BHVR couldn't careless about the killers expirence. They will always priortize survivor over killer. No matter how much of an expense it is of a killer player. Which is why no one wants to play killer much is it gets more miserable and miserable to play as they punish you for doing well and continue to make things baseline for survivors and impliment more safety nets so they can make mistakes for days and see no consquences.

Guys, I could be wrong, but it seems that Wesker has no cooldown or punishment in his power since in my games I made him make mistakes and even made him use his power in the wrong way and even so he still managed to hit me, I honestly don't I like him in the game because the character already has the techs, the contamination, and now it seems that his cooldown is almost non-existent, in my opinion his recovery should be greater and more punishing when he makes a mistake but that's not exactly what happens

Ya know what the bad thing about this is? Is that BHVR does listen to this kind of feedback. Even if something is not unbalanced or balanced or whatever. As long as the community percieves it to be unfair then that's enough for them to do something about it.

  • I hate it.

It's a total waste of time as a killer when gens can be finished in less than a min by a single survivor to get a hate buff that is halfway gone by the time you use the portal and for horribly placed haunts to slightly slow down survivors. It really makes me wonder if BHVR actually tests this stuff or not. Or just don't care as long as survivors benefit the most. I been playing less of the game as a result.

I still think you didn't understand the idea (maybe because I'm stupid and don't know how to explain it) I have nothing against snowball killers, but you need to recognize that some killers take advantage to play in a toxic way, if you don't recognize this, either you are a main killer boy, or you like exploits and only win through cheating

I'll try to explain calmly: my idea is that if a fallen surv finds another fallen surv, he can heal that surv to get him back up, If you stop to think about it, there are two survivors on the ground, the killer just puts them on the hook, this idea of mine is much better than the idea that the devs wanted to do with the Unbrakble base kit, which was a significant nerf for the killers, but in general, the killers take down the surv and put them on the hook

The only killer that could really be harmed by this mechanic would be the twins, but this could even be done by a surv that was standing, in addition, fallen survivors are slow and would take a while to find themselves.I'm not looking to nerf killer, a game needs a killer, but that won't harm him like it would with the "unbreakble" base kit, for me if it had a feature where the survivor could bleed to death it would be even better, but then killer would appear complaining that he can't hook the survs because of this, see if you can understand

With all the safety nets and base kit things they added to survivor. If you end up in a situation like this then there is nothing they can impliment to help you other than a "I win" button when you are losing. Unironically a skill issue at this point with everything survivors have.

  • Freddy in general is DBD most mistreated licenced character and feels like a spit in the face of the franchise. They need a total rework and re-introduce him because its emberassing.

    • Based on reboot freddy that no one likes.
    • Doesn't say ANYTHING when Freddy is known for constantly taunting, talking ######### and his catch phrase "#########".
    • Dream world is misrepresented. I get that he is nerfed by the Entity but make it more interesting or cool that really shows off his powers. Show that this is his dominion that he has control over. It doesn't feel like how its represented in the movies at all. Just feels like a de-buff thats applied sometimes more than anything.
    • Somehow they didn't find a way to play "One, Two, Freddys coming for you".

I am sure a lot of it has to do with what their contract says but I really hope they re-negociate while Robert Englund is still alive and get him to do some lines. Just hearing him saying some awful puns when he hangs or SOMETHING. Dudes one of the most iconic killers and what we got was Walmart Freddy.

  • You know whats the funny part? Yall still got out. Its never been easier to be survivor than now in this games entire history.

I have to play a little more to be sure, but my first impressions are like this as well. There is now an additional realm outside the map where any player can go... cool, but all the gens are still on the actual map! You have no reason to go there as killer until you think someone is hiding there, but you will only be sure it's the best choice when you start noticing you already went to multiple gens and there was nobody in any of them (you can pretty much end up walking alone on the map for some time, which can be boring as hell).

To make it worse, it takes little time to cross a portal, which means that a survivor who is just a few meters away from you, can quickly enter it and instantly break line of sight, which also interrupts bloodlust progress and forces you to stand still for the same time they did. In other words, they got a bit of time, you got nothing that useful in return.

There is a hook in the Void but the killer also has the blinded status effect there, which means you need to make sure where the hook is before you even pick up. It's pretty confusing at first.

If you, as the killer, still spend a little time to release a ghost from the void (which is way too long of a time to stand still doing nothing as a killer), you get... undetectable, which is fun, but among the weakest killer abilities due to how the game is designed. There is a reason why Ghostface, Wraith and Myers aren't top-tier killers. Meanwhile, survivors get ENDURANCE, which is arguably the best status effect a survivor can get.

And just to make it a little worse, the portals are tall and bright, you can barely see anything behind them until you're inside one, so they also serve as free line of sight blockers. You don't think it will be a problem until they spawn right in front of a doorway. A survivor goes through, you only know if they entered the portal of the door once you get to the portal yourself.

The concept of the event is great, but right now it seems terribly one-sided. Even more one-sided than the original snowmen. One side gets more fun while the other gets harder to have fun with.

What? The devs favor where the majority of the playerbase is? Say it aint so!

I mean sarcasim aside they will always hand hold survivors and design everything around their enjoyment first and foremost. No matter at what expense it is to killers.
