ThaThat just means you pre-drop on run to the next tile

That would be fun because the entity would be smacking them

Yes please 🙏

He's not that bad

Yes he could use some love. But so could 15 or 20 of the rest of the roster who have been powercrept

Leave it as is, tell survivors to go grab EMPS

I would like multi hooking to be more viable.... Like give us a basekit slowdown reward for hooking different survivors
Give killers a 5th perk on 3 different people hooks 🪝

Deaths in game should be removed. Instead trials should have time limit. So either all survs wins or none of them.
Hooks should keep survs temporarily, and then spawn them somewhere far from killer. Others can still unhook them faster.
Mories should make survs being "ghosts" that can't do conspicuous actions, are invisible and have no collision for time longer than being hooked. Then become corporal again.
What part of DEAD by daylight didn't you get?

Correction accepted, I think that's fair.

That would be really nice

My Suspicion is that you are over zealous in kicking them.
But this begs another question, are you playing C or B tier killers? High mobility killers don't have this issue, and its a shame that so much of the game seems balanced around that.

Same thing happened with skull merchant.

NNo Mither would be great if it gave 3% haste

Yes, I have been seeing this a lot lately.

First part sounds fun.
second sounds like hell - what stops people from using a map-offering for the game and increase palette spawns even more? The downside wouldn't matter because you can count the windows on one hand anyways, and there would be even more palettes. I really don't think we'd ever get that balanced to a point where it's not annoying.
Of Course they would! It would need balanced out with killer spawn items. Things like making loops farther, or spawning killer shack with no gen, or even 2 basements.
-
If you encounter a bully squad stop playing B tier killers. Bully squads shape up real quick against A and S tiers.
Makes you wonder 🤔

Lore-wise it makes sense, as "kill by your own hand" is not offering up a sacrifice to the Entity. The suffering on the hook feeding them and such.
I actually forgot it doesn't count towards that Emblem (or achievements/adepts) as I see moris so rarely.
Also if you get 2 hook stages like a survivor gives up you can't get iri

Give survivors the ability to block at least two killers from their matchmaking pool.
Just two. That’s all it takes to drastically reduce frustration and early quits. If someone hates going against Nurse and Blight, let them opt out. Simple. No other game forces you to play content you actively dislike. Why should DBD?
And here’s the bonus:
By tracking which killers get blocked the most, you’ll finally get real data on which mechanics players actually find the most miserable.
Not just who wins more. Not just who gets nerfed louder. But who players actively want to avoid. For me, it’s simple: I don’t enjoy playing against high mobility killers. I don’t want to be chased by something that erases distance like physics doesn’t exist. That’s not tension. That’s just exhaustion.
I’ve been playing Dead by Daylight for 5 years now. And here’s the truth you don’t want to hear:
The problem isn’t “balance.”
It’s gameplay mechanics. You keep patching, nerfing, adjusting numbers—but nothing ever really changes. Why?
Because the core issue isn’t how strong a killer is.
It’s how they play. And some of them are simply not fun to go against. At all.Take Blight, for example.
It doesn’t matter how many nerfs you throw at him. He’ll still dash across the map in seconds, still delete chases before they start, still turn a core survivor mechanic—running—into a joke.
You’re not playing against Blight. You’re being farmed by him. That’s why survivors give up early.
Not because they’re weak.
Not because they don’t try.
But because they know exactly how the next 5 minutes will feel: hopeless, oppressive, and completely unfun.I’m tired of being forced into killer matchups I don’t want.
I’m tired of pretending that “killer diversity” matters more than player choice.
And I’m tired of watching survivors get blamed for quitting when the real problem is that you don’t give us a way to say no.We need a killer blocklist. Period.
Let us exclude a handful of killers from our matchmaking pool.
You want fewer DCs? Fewer hook suicides? Less negativity?
Then give players the ability to avoid the killers they personally find miserable. It’s not about dodging skill.
It’s about respecting your players.Until then, don’t act surprised when people keep quitting at 5 gens.
You gave them no other option. And one more thing:
Punishing someone with a matchmaking ban just because they don’t want to play is not a solution.
It’s control. It’s coercion.
You’re not fixing the game by forcing people to endure something they hate. That’s not balance.
That’s a system built on dictating behavior instead of understanding it.You want a healthier game?
Start by giving people the freedom to choose how they engage with it.have a nice day

Welcome to mmr past low. Now you are in with the sweats. You have to run meta builds are get stomped on as a rule now. It's not great. Sometimes you want a chill game
-
M1 killers often need to take chase perks to do well in chase, or catch people really out of position. But them at the rates gens fly these days they often get nuked really early

I might misunderstand what you mean here, but that's not an all bad idea. Just to be clear, lower opacity means more invisible, and higher opacity means more visible. Assuming you mean his traps are invisible when running (0% opacity), and then walking or crouch walking raises there opacity to say, 30%, and not moving at all makes them fully visible (100% opacity). I'm not entirely sold on the idea, but it's actually a pretty good one. The only problem I can see is traps becoming suddenly visible when you slow down, which might make them more noticeable than before.
Yes you're right. Maybe also have a range on them? Such as 0% opaque at 24 M when running, and the closer you get and slower you go the more visible they become. That way they don't pop like you mentioned. Also yes I got opaque backwards.
-
JJust give his traps opacity when you are running, then a little less when walking, then visible when standing still

Kaneki's most popular builds either use Barbeque and Chili, or free up the perk slot and use BBQ At Home (Yamori's Mask). The only way you can stealth that is by being in his terror radius, yet somehow unseen, or by hiding in a locker and counting to 12.
Kaneki can be outrun, though, with mindgames and decent tile knowledge. Aggressive killers require aggressive gameplay to counter it.
Use anti-aura perks? You have several available
-
The clown is obvious
-
Ghoul is fine, just use a tiny bit of stealth. Different killers need different strategies, you CANT outrun him, stop trying to. People use the same 10 perks all the time and wonder why they don't work for every killer.
-
Don't touch Larry. He is strong, but mostly because players are not coordinated well. You have to think when going against him and have good map sense.
-
But Then they shouldn't play the game.

Plus accessibility issues. Do you hate going against The Ghoul because you think he's OP and unfair? Suck it up.
Are you unable to face The Doctor because his flashing lights and other effects cause you physical harm? This is a problem BHVR needs to address and in the mean time you should NOT be punished for needing to leave the game.
Are you unable to play against The Clown due to Coulrophobia? Fair, there should be something implemented to combat this, I am not sure what, but I'm not a developer.
Anyone who says anything like "If you aren't willing to play against a certain killer for any reason, you shouldn't be playing DBD at all." is an ableist. It's a horror game? You don't have to play it. It's not for everyone, especially kids. If you have issues with clowns ect being scary...

Merchant was replaced by Singularity when his buffs from last year went out. Unless he gets nerfed back down and the original issues with his power as a lockdown tool get addressed, the kick limit system cannot be removed.
Besides, do you really need 8 regression events to maintain pressure? With surge that's, what? 64% of a gen?
DDon't Touch Larry
-
On a side note, if Singularity spawns extra chests can he then force his EMP's to be out in the middle of nowhere?
-
Yes he does.
-
Run ds and off the record. Also if you get tunneled hard in your teammates are at 3 gens you were gonna lose anyways.
-
Pallet rebuilding in regular mode would be obscene. And there are already maps that spawn with like 30+ pallets? (Saw map)
-
Killers can also abuse this to get in low mmr lobbies to smack newbs. It is very easy to keep 2 people alive, slug one then kite the other all over the map, down him, then go pick up and drop the slugged survivor to bleed out the other persons 4 minute slug timer. Hit 10 minutes and quit! It's really not good at all for game health.

technically they didnt lie since it wasnt bhvr who posted it but it was tcofs devs… and "technically" a legendary skin "changes" the character to not be "trapper" similar to how naughty bear isnt trapper but naughty bear. I still want him to be his own chapter tho with killer/survivor(s)/map
If I did the same thing about something my wife would say I was lying lol. Technically shmecknically. They don't even care to justify. The game bombed, and they are washing their hands of it. Honestly there should have been a chapter with him as a killer on launch day, with exclusive skins if you played both games.

how would some of his most uselees addons transform him from one of the worst killers in the game into a decent one?
Because it gives him way more flexibility and pressure.

Bhvr even lied and said he wasn't gonna be trapper

Aye, they got the license from FunWorld to use the ghost face mask. The Scream movie also got the license from FunWorld, as well. Long story short, the mask itself belongs to FunWorld. Scream paid to use the mask and then made their own story\movie\characters. BHVR likely couldn't just do a Scream license since Scream doesn't own the mask itself, so if they wanted to do a Scream license, they'd probably have to pay for both the Mask license from FunWorld AND the Scream owners for Scream characters. Probably too expensive for a single chapter, so they just licensed the mask itself then made their own "homebrew" character which isn't related to the Scream movie.
What a strange turn of events! Thank you for the explanation!
