Kinda get it.
I escaped once as Survivor because a Legion accepted my medkit offering and allowed me to leave. I think I played 5 games yesterday.
As Killer, literally zero challenge even when I wasn't trying. Very boring and disappointing.
Meg & Steve death, I could slug Nea for Mika, but I refused to slug for 4K.
No tunneling, no camping. Only 1 time I went back to hook because I was in chase, but I go for the healthy unhooker instead of unhooked.

As if any of that is impactful….lol. Those changes are nearly meaningless.
Can you tell the number it should be to be meaningful for you?
-
Except DH, exhaustion is well designed with Exhaustion mechanic locked behind them, forcing a survivor can only use 1 perk in a match.
It should be the same to Gen slowdown. I dont mind if a Gen perk is strong (not old Eruption strong), but killers just putting 4 slowdown should not be a thing.
-
What I think is, Botany is +50% speed, We will make it + 100%, but Selfcare is not -75%, but rather x2.86 of the total time (100/35), Selfcare is the last number of the math.
Self healing is 24sec.
Selfcare makes it 67.2sec (24 x 2.86)
Selfcare + Botany makes it 44.8sec
(100/150)*24 = 16sec
16 * 2.86 = 44.8sec
Even Selfcare + Botany + We will make it still take 27sec.
(100/250)*24 = 9.6sec
9.6 * 2.86 = 27sec
Means its still better to have your teammate heal you or using Medkit, than to selfcare.

What are you talking about?
You go near them, they sprint away. How do you counter that?
AMAZING PLAYSSS!!!
As other said, its not about countering SB and DH in chase, its how and when they're being used.
SB can run away to a title when doing Gen in dead zone, come back half a minute later, done.
They may work on Gen with another teammate who doesnt have SB, you can go for them instead.
SB creates distance at the beginning of a chase, you have 2 choice: chasing them and there is no Exhaustion between you; or leave a chase before it begins, you waste no time.
For DH you success hitting them twice after 2min, and they DH away, you have 2 choices: have to commit the chases to its endl; or leave the chase when you're already wasted 2min

You mean this?
50sec Gen
50% Brutal strength
25% STBFL
10% PGTW
22% faster Blood lust
10% less distance on hit

I play both sides and im having it way easier on the survivor side. Also i mostly play soloQ. I don't think survivors need anymore buffs atm. 2 heals from medkit + adrealine at the end. We'll make it to heal fast after unhooking someone. I really dont see the issue. Gens go by fast at least in most of my games.
You agree new BK is a nerf from the old one?
-
@Hannacia said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3406579#Comment_3406579
They arent even almost dead. 2 heals per match is quite enough. Also the slowness.. honest i didnt even feel it unless it was with slobby.
Time is relative, behind killers' back, survivor can get healed in 1min after escaping a chase. To killer, they think that survivor do Gen for 1min and get healed at the same time, but reality, its that survivor running around finding for a teammate to heal them, which also take time from another survivor.
The only thing you acknowledge is that survivor gets healed.
Beside, Medkits used to have alot of charges, buffing BK and taking away 20% is 'understandable' (the buff from 33% to 50% doesnt make up the nerf of taking away 20% charge)
Now Medkits dont have alot of charge, use BK is pretty much pointless to bring a Medkit. Im fine if BK goes back to 33% and remove the 20% charge penalty.

@mustdogen said:
First of all , medkit is still very viable that can see multiple medkit in every match.
Second, pharmacy is actually better than before that you can get multiple green medkit now.
And Botany knowledge......no, just no ,the nerf is already unnoticeable this perk change would only make it worse
You have to be really good to make killer give up on chase after injured you, so you can run around finding 3 chests for 3 Green medkit instead of doing Gens.
Or if you fail a chase and hooked, then a teammate comes to unhook you, instead of staying there for 16sec for teammate to heal you, you run around finding 3 chests for 3 Green medkit.
Getting 3 Green medkits isnt a buff.

It's unbalanced with a swf team? Yes.
That's the "BHVR's definition" of balance. Completely busted with a swf team but useless in solo.
I always feel stupid to bring Ranger just for a teammate to DC on first down.
thats a waste of Ranger
-
Yes, perks should have less impact.
The lack of core game play mechanic, giving strong perks that make player who dont use certain perk is completely screwed. I prefer to have half a perk to be corre mechanic, and who has the perk can perform the action better.
Something like all survivors have 3sec DS basekit. Who uses DS perk have 5sec. Or Killers have 30sec Corrupted basekit, and who uses the perk have 2min. Something like that.
Doctor chapter gave killers ability to kick Gens, Overchange makes kicking Gen more effectively. It would be stupid if Killers who dont use Overcharge can not kick Gen, right? Same to Shattered Hope.
-
I feel the same with the old addon that 1 add 16 charges, 1 remove 8 charges with greater speed. Both Green rarity.
Its 24 charges difference between 2 addon, that little speed boost definitely not worth.
-
Yes please, there should be a choice for killer to either snuff or remove the Boon. The perk should make Blesser 1min of Expose after the removal.

Mm I think C3tooth is right (and a good artist), no idea what you're talking about OP. Autodidact is the solution for what exactly? Base healing times didn't get nerfed they justbreworked medkits and CoH to nerf self heals.
And auto didact has always been kind of meh. But the skill checks trigger regularly enough. I usually get 2-3 on my first heal so when first heal is finished I've removed the detrimental skill checks and then my healing flies all game. Don't get what the issue is.
@Pulsar said:
The idea you're trying to get to his to have Autodidact guarantee at least 1 skill check per heal.
However, you insulted C3, therefore, I sentence you to Solo Q for all eternity.

Be happy? It takes 5 seconds to heal!
-Time of a survivor find a totem in the first place
-14sec Blessing
-2 survivors run to COH zone (lets say, 10sec of running, means 20sec of no Gen)
+ Save 16sec to heal both survivors.
-The time of 2 survivors running back to Gen.
Coh does have one problem, its that if 2 survivors run to a Coh that really close, the feeling of they going back to healthy is crazy.

Who in the world complains about Lithe?!
I mean, yeah, it's not great to see a survivor make distance on you as a killer but it's nowhere near as annoying as DH was. Lithe is fine, DH was not.
Lithe is the easiest exhaustion perk to use. Because you can use it on command (with windows). For Killer, anything that create distant is annoying.
But what I think about Lithe:
- You hit a healthy Lithe user or non Lithe user at window, you success at getting the hit. They both speed boost to another title.
- ^ same for hitting injured, both Lithe and non-Lithe down at the other side of window
- You dont hit Lithe user, or non Lithe user at window, the result is the same. Theyre already on the other side of window, Lithe or not

Fengmin has left the match.

Early game is important for both side. 1sec of chase is 3sec of Gen for Killers. But if a survivor down early and Killer decides to tunnel/camp, its a lost for Survivors.
Thing is early game Survivors have better advantage. Pallet, items, 4 players.

There's four problems for Trapper
1: He is hurt more by SWFs than most killers.
2: His addons can boost his power more than most killers.
3: When his power works out it really works, making some games easy, turning what would be long chases into instant downs.
4: His most viable strategy, basement trapper, is extremely powerful but not very fun.
If I'm playing trapper and hit a SWF, I immediately try to switch to basement trapper mode.
The RNG can give Trapper either a free hook out of no where (a survivor randomly trapped at the next title)
Or an injured randomly step on a trap at loop at far distance, they escape the trap without downside, and revealing trap location while pallet isnt drop yet (people tend to check trap at the places they trapped once)

Because they are largely irrelevant. They made m1 killers a tiny bit stronger, thats cool and all but they will stile lose vs competent teams. The buffs are also a lot more placebo then you might think. It's why brutal strength is a weak perk, doesn't matter if you break a pallet a bit quicker if they still make it to another window or pallet.
The buffs also barely impact any relevant killer.Yeah the buffs to my blight that can play around half the pallets, that doesn't give a damn how far you are from him,and that doesn't even m1 are crazy. And its not just blight in particular, nearly every single strong killer barely benefits from these buffs including but not limited to Huntress,Nurse,Spirit(with MDR),artist, oni, plague,Phead,Hag come to mind of the top of my head as killers who couldn't care less about the minimal buffs received.
But sure, clown can get an extra hook stage vs a good team after he broke every pallet on the map and saved a whopping 2 seconds!!!
How long a Gen should be done for you to consider good for killers?
-
I think disarming traps should come with a skill check (can be easy and slight harder with a Yellow addon). Missing skill check will get trapped.
And traps should not spawn at the edge of maps.
And some maps really need grass.
Other than that, he will be good.

10 and 6 can beat 7 and 3 equally hard. The tournament survivors are the 10, but Im not sure if your survivors are the same.

Not particularly hot any more, but sure:
Pyramid Head is MASSIVELY over-hyped. He is, at best, a B+ killer. He's the tallest and loudest killer in the game, his attack gives survivors an absurd amount of wind-up warning, his torment trails are 100% in the survivors' control to avoid, and he has the single worst set of add ons of any killer.
The ONLY reason people like to pretend he's A (or even S) tier is because people massively over-rate his cages. And that is because it shuts off the most common crutch perks survivors lean on. If you're at all decent at playing survivor, you will never be tormented (and thusly never get sent to a cage) and there are zero things that PH can do to prevent that.
But, because he's so wildly over-hyped, he got significantly nerfed right after release, and his addons have never received the massive overhaul they so desperately need (and probably never will).
You werent hyped for this?

Do you think the game should be balanced around average skill players, or top tier high skill players?

Because Im sure you and I are average skill players, which you and I should have more benefits from.

Where are you finding these people? I love to play games were I can hook everyone twice and let them leave but I rarely get survivors "being chill and fun" back. Not complaining just saying I don't see this much like you do.
You can simply just 8 hook and 1-2K. Keep MMR low, I do this all the time, the game is fun for me and others.
Thats why I always question why people want Kills when its litterally give them no reward.
-
I can say Im a casual killer (on both side actually). I play for hooks, and if a survivor is getting to the last hook early, I just slug them so they can get to end game where the fun starts, because I use 4 End game perks.
Kills mean nothing to me beside it bring me to MMR where I should not be.

Killer could get 6× 2K:s and 4× 4K:s and have that 70% kill rate (still loses most games...) 4K is most common result already when killer wins. Im fine with 65% kill rate too but it should definetely be closer to 3K than 2K as usually those games are heavily survivor sided with just few hooks I can get 2K but never had chance to win or even get 6 hooks out of 12.
Oh so 2K is a lost, thats why you want 75% kill rate.
-
@Sylhiri said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3400529#Comment_3400529
How would you increase the survivability of survivors at the low end while decreasing the survivability of survivors at the high end?
I think there should be Hook count and Gen's progression system. Certain Gen's progression fits to certain Hook count.
Which side is losing will be buffed, while the other side nerfed. The further the gap, the stronger the buff/nerf.
So in low MMR, killer has a huge lead (3-4 hooks to 1 Gen done, survivors will get buffed). In high MMR, survivors has a huge lead (3 Gens done to 1 hook, killers will get buffed)
-
Im here to tell you why 60% kill rate is the perfect number.
60% means in 10 matches, there are 4 matches with only 1 escape, 6 matches with 2 escape. The chances for 2 escape is greater than 1 escape.
If the kill rate should be 70%. In 10 matches, there are 8 matches with only 1 escape, far greater than the chance for 2 escape. You know what happens after? Survivors dont do Gen, they only hide to get hatch escape because the result is the same: 1 escape.
The chance to get 2 escape must be higher than 1 escape so Survivors feel they should do Gen.
In coming killers comment "remove the hatch then"

What do you think happens to someone's MMR after averaging just over 3 kills over 100 games? How does MMR simultaneously work for people who play at "high MMR" but completely fail to adjust for other players who have OP's win rate?
Another person with 80% kill rate - Your MMR must be really low.
Self being struggled to get kills - My MMR is so high that you will never be able to reach.
-
Its okay for 99% gate.
They just need to add 1sec startup animation for most survivors' action.
- 1sec to stop Gen regressing, which greatly reduce Gen tapping.
- 1sec to open a 99% gate, this will put more risk to 99% gate
- 1sec to continue healing progress, make 99% heal Resilience more risk
And so on...

only problem with blights map is that it SHOULD include plenty of blighted plants and fauna. but the Blight makes the entity very weak.
They can simply put blighted plants in the main buildings.
Sactum of Wrath is just Yamaoka estate with a special hill in the middle, I mean, create new maps for them can be that easy.

Will just say a lot of those are not quality of life changes but changes that affect gameplay themselves - things like hooks not permanently breaking for example, these are things that are in the game for balance, not quality of life.
A quality of life change are things like colour blind mode, the visual terror radius etc.
But visual TR is a buff for survivor and affect the game play

Only thing i really want is a map for every remaining killer that doesn't have a map of their own.
Honestly it should be so easy, there are realms with only 2 variation, just make the 3rd for them (Red forest for Blight, Crotus for Twin), the only thing they have to make are main buildings that goes with them.
Honestly only Trickster should have a new realm because I dont think other realm fits him.
