So the point is you played terrible Survivors?
3x using BNP on the same 1st Gen are complete rookies who don't understand the game at all.
SWF are easy to beat when they don't know what they are doing and suffer from "hero syndrome". IOW, they try to unhook any teammate ASAP. A decent squad would have finished 2-3 gens on you before the 1st sacrifice was even possible.
Any players are easy to beat when they dont know what they're doing, yes.

Dont just worry about losing just play normally its okay you win some, you lose some just dont let it get to your head and go like"oh i am bad" as someone said in a previous comment its also normal to have like 1 or 2k against a decent team
I usually see "try to 4K against decent team", but if we think about "a decent team should not be able to make 2 escape", that would be more broken.

That double standard is exactly what I have a problem with. It shouldn't help either side, and 99% of the time survivors are in charge of when EGC starts unless the killer abandons their objective to go complete the last part of the survivor's objective for them which allows them to freely walk out of the exit gate.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3501124#Comment_3501124
They can make the time a little longer for all I care. Personally I think the timer should be at least twice as long as it is now but start as soon as the final generator pops. Obviously exit gate perks would need to be tweaked. I just don't believe either side should be able to mess with EGC.
Like I said, as it is now survivors both control when EGC starts in 99% of cases and they get to slow the timer down to help them escape. It just needs to be completely neutral. Nothing more than a mechanic to end the game.
Lets look from another pov: They could make 4min by default and the timer not slowed down if there is a survivor down, but not, they makes the time x2 faster when all survivors standing so they dont try to "bleed" killers for 4min.

With the size of the game now, in regards to the number of killers and survivors available, the shard system desperately needs an improvement.
Shard earning is slow, but its fine for me.
Its just older characters should be alot cheaper by now.
Currently its year 8, years 5 character should be dropped to 80%, years 4 60%, years 3 40%, years 2 and before 20%. Must be cheaper in real money too. Except license DLCs
-
The time is short when all survivors still standing, means they have nothing to do and they should leave, which is why the time is short.
The time is slowed down means for survivors to help their teammate. Its still up to you that you can get a kill or not, not the killer need extra help to get a kill by EGC timing out.
-
Its fine for 115% speed killers. Its that high speed killers can instantly start chase like Blight, Nurse, Spirit.
I do think a 4sec of Lethal pursuer should be basekit, though all killers' power must be on recharged at the beginning, so high speed killers dont instant start a chase. Nurse however has really low recharging time, its still not matter to her.

This wouldn't of happened if killers didn't hook camp.

If you're able to find reasons to talk down my perkless Trapper, no Gen slowdown/tunnel against 4 players swf and still 4K. People would be able to say the exact same reasons to your screenshots why you escaped.
-
Perks that should not overlap. You mean Unbreakable and Soul guard thats both able to self pickup? The mechanic isnt that rich to make each perks completely different.
1 can do the job, the other one do that exact job but better, but requires something to make it work.
Its good for players to have choices and pick between “the same” perks.

In the same post :
"you do not need gen regression perks to win, you need to be better than your opponent"
"you play META perks while the killer does not so he lost"
You say everything and the reverse at the same time.
So mindbreaker, POR, Eruption, Gift of Pain, Bamboozle, Pop, Sloppy, Jolt are not META perks ?
😂
If both sides have equal skill, which side tried harder should win the match. You played in a swf with stack of items against killers who didnt try as hard. Assume both sides have equal skill, its easy to understand you should win.
The 3K Onryo match is the perfect example, less item, solo. Lose to the killer with full slowdown and iri addon. Even if half of survivors' perks are strong.
Survivors can stack alot of things that make them alot stronger, but 4 players swf is only 10% of the match, while killers are much easier to stack strong things.
Even if the game is balanced around 10% top players, keep in mind the killers who should be able to beat them are the top 10% killer, not us - the average killer players - to beat the top 10% teams.
-
WGLF
- Endurance for the slugged
- 100% recovering speed from healer
Buckle up doesnt
- Endurance for the slugged
- Endurance for the healer
Take away "Endurance for the healer" from Buckle up, what do you suggest for the missing ability?

great! Now instead of me having to face just 1 bot, i get to play against al 4.
absolutely not. the dc bots are there to give the survivors you abandon a chance, not let you ragequit with them.
OP didnt say killer have to play against 4 bots. If all 4 survivors DC, the game should end itself by default, like how killer DC.
OP is suggesting idea because killer slug them on purpose while they're the last real player, they just wanted to die and move one

Not as killer, no. It used to be.
I refuse to believe you find 1-2 survivors on the ground in EGC with DS & UB was fun. It wasnt even fun for me.

The problem is that all those things, stacked on all 4 survivors + strong items, make good survivors unbeatable which should not be possible in a balanced game.
I you guys are happy with the current state of the game, fine, do not wonder why queue times in the evenings are longer and longer. Killers will avoid to play in the evening as the trials are awful for them at that time.
Some match gets you faced against far stronger opponent that your skill, which is just impossible to win. Its also happen on survivor side, 4K with 3-4 Gens left.
The game would be truly unbalance if an average killer can easily win against strong survivors

Immunity to lightburn?
Its more than Feneroe mentioned.
Flashlight cant remove Spirit's husk, Artist's crow, Hag's trap (though she has a build-in counter to remove traps).

I’m not sure what your point is or how it relates to what we’re talking about.
There is no disadvantage from not playing Meta. However you play, you keep the same kill/escape rate.

Sabo builds are also pretty useless. Hooks spawn too close now.
Its RNG, there was a match I was able to make 3 hook saves in Garden of joy. Was really satisfied.

As a solo player, I don't find it's worth using perks that rely on the Killer slugging, because if they don't, then my perks are wasted. I could see it being decent in a SWF though.

Anytime I’ve ever brought perks to deal with slugging, the killer doesn’t slug. Anti-slugging perks are just too much of a gamble.
To make the perk use, you need the 3rd survivor to keep killer busy.
Sabo build only need 1 teammate (you) to help the down survivor, more reliable.

@woundcowboy said:

It actually does. Anyone who doesn’t play those killers is putting themselves at a disadvantage. Let’s also not forget that in pubs, dumb survivors are absolutely the reason that most killers can win. That doesn’t mean that the game is balanced.
I dont think thats the case.
As killer, you can stacks
- Strong addons
- Meta perks
- Tunneling
- Top tier killers
Of course survivors can do the same.
- Stack strong items/addons
- Meta perks
- SWF
To cover up their skill and increase MMR.
If you as killer and survivors have equal skill of 5. The chance should be 2E,2K. In that match, which side tries harder should win more. Assume you try harder by using strong addon & perks ; and survivors team is more casual, you should win
Then MMR puts you to a team with skill of 6. Assume if both you and survivors try equally hard, you should lose because other side is better than you. Certainly you can win against them by using Blight/Nurse and tunneling. Which you may even win against teams that's slightly better than you.
Until you reach to MMR against survivors team with skill 8-9 who are too far better than you to even get a hook. This is the point where most killers in forum are complaining about.
As Peanits said:
Most players are average players who use full meta to win more. Just to play against harder opponents.

I've always just had it down to game sense, knowing how far these perks are working, and also the dimensions of the average shack, is actually pretty nice to know
For some reasons, I recognize the math that a title is 8x8. I tried to use maps’ size in meters divined by 64 and all were a round number.
I just checked the wiki and it shows by the number of titles now, no more meter squares

there are TVs for you, if she turns them all off then they all get turned back on. its kinda like how The Plague's corrupt intervention works. to prevent survivors from staying sick indefinitely, they made it so if all fountains become corrupt, then she automatically claims one of the fountains. this works the same with Onyro's TVs
there IS a TV for you, you just have to go around and find it, since yk, you can put them in any TV now
Then I have to thank Steve and Rebecca used 2 TV nearby me with 1 and 4 stacks. And I had to run across the map with 6 stacks then died trying to get the tape.
-
I died because there wasnt a TV for me. What should I do?
-
1 title is 8x8m. A shack for example, is 8x8.

Buckle Up alone is fine really, with For the people its really a lose-lose situation like the old DS/Un.
I think it should be either healer or healed get the Endurance. I like to use For the people, but its really hard that only work if teammate drop a pallet/window and down at the opposite side. Feel really rewarded when success. With new Buckle up it feels really easy to pull off.
I prefer to have only the healed get the Endurance.
-
@Esterhause said:
So, it only works when the killer can see you, and you can see them, pointless perk now
Yes, unless its corn map, which also easier to see than the old corn.
I would make the perk gives you 5sec of no scratch mark if the perk activated. And have a cooldown.
-
I use JoAT on my main Yui.
For other survivors, they're Specialist or Gimmick
Meg
Jake
Rebecca
Jane
ect
Changing character completely change the playstyle. Honestly I play Yui less nowaday because for me Specialist is more fun.
You can see that except for Meg (I use running build, possibly change Fixate to Made for this), if I get tunneled while playing other, Im completely defenseless. Im always go back to Yui/Meg if I get tunneled 2-3 times in a row.

https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/385091/sadako-is-getting-her-mori-every-game-now
solo Q struggles against literally every killer, so i dont understand the point there. the best way to counter sadako is to keep a tape in your hands, and if your against a good sadako, nice! she still has very weak chase potential. i haven't watched the thing your talking about, so idk what add-ons the person ran on sadako or what perks, so i can't really give a detailed response
Op mentioned about
“it's that easy to get a 4 man mori against full time streamers that even teamed up with tournament players”
I dont think solo needs any change anymore, but more to killers’ power thats requires extreme coordination
-
And Slugularity
-
I feel the anti camping mechanic should be just increase hook stage to 90sec. Im not really into self unhook, since survivors can loop near hook on purpose.

The point is not that a survivor that invest everything in doing gens fast is wrong.
The point is that he CAN do it and noone is going to call him toxic.
Efficient killer's behaviours are instead something toxic that should be removed.
The only thing I read was the last comment is on 8th June. 6 weeks before you dig this old topic.
I was not going to read your complaint.

Honestly I like Penti Plaything alot as survivor, a slowdown thats not extending Gen time. Which I also use it as killer as my only ‘Gen slowdown’ perks

May be bug? Nemesis M2, Clown broken bottle are universal too. Not sure if its bug or intentional, since alot of killers’ sound are universal (Demo, Oni are examples)

An undeserved 5% repair speed reduction. It blows my mind, with 58 unused survivor perks, that the developers decided to nerf another perk to uselessness.
Maybe spend precious developer time on buffing the 58 unused survivor perks instead of an unnecessary Prove Thyself and Spine Chill nerf.
Give it time, you will see 1 day survivors will not use Prove thyself anymore. As the same day you might prefer Devs to revert the nerf of the perk because 3 Gens done after the 1st chase instead of 1 every match.
-
Its gonna be okay.
-
Its a bug Im sure, screaming before hooking happened before.

@Aven_Fallen said:

I mean the day of pre-nerf Coh, DH, DS and 50% kill rate.

I have this idea for long now, but as basekit instead of a perk. EGC starts the moment 3rd survivor dies, hatch closed by default. A chest spawn at a random place that guarantee a key.
-
@CatnipLove said:
Unfortunately, for the most part the killer will set the tone of the match. If they are in a bad mood you probably won't have a good time.
Something like a killer hitting me on hook or bleeding for 4min because someone else in previous match tbagged to that killer?
