- So you never win on Coldwind? I'm sorry for you.
- Plenty of places to stalk on Coldwind.
- SWF means #########, since sometimes they're easier to face than solo because of altruism and again, if you never win on Coldwind I'm sorry, bro.
False.
- Half the gens are in the middle of the corn, so goodluck stalking anyone
- SWF are usually more cordinated the 4 randoms, so they are not easier if they play smart and not just go full altruism for their friends.
- Winning is hard with ghostface, but not impossible, but goodluck getting anything more then just a safety.

Maybe if you read it a little slower you would understand. When the decisive strike timer activates after being unhooked you have like 50 - 60 seconds to get away and heal. If you go down then decisive strike activates and it can be used when the killer picks you up. But most times im looping the killer for like 30 seconds and then go down and the killer leaves me there for like 20 seconds and then picks me up. And by that time the decisive strike timer is done and can’t be used because the killer hasn’t “picked me up” during the timer. He had waited hen extra 20 second season for DS to go away. It shouldn’t be when the killer picks you up it should activate when he downs you instead.
It sounds like you are just a survivor main who has never played killer. That would be completely unfair and broken in many forms. If you don't want too get slugged carry Unbreakable. Otherwise you're gonna be slugged because of DS and most killers know not too pick people up unless no one is the obession.
-
Decisive strike activation should be when the killer downs you after the timer starts. Not when he picks you up.
only thing that should change is the stun timer IMO. It is very strong since the Enduring changes, which is why it was buffed too 5 seconds in the first place, but now since it's been nerfed too being horrible the 5 seconds it too damn strong.
-
Its red ranks. Everyone at red ranks are sweaty tryhards who always bring things too gen rush. I intentionally stay at low ranks because it's fun and that's why I want a Quick Match mode, where you can do whatever and not have too sweat for safety pips. Can't remember the last time I got a 3k in red ranks because it doesn't happen.

Plague doesn't need an update or anything as dramatic as a rework.
She is like the spirit when she first cameout. Weakish but with a few soft buffs it really helped her become a strong killer for the mid-highish ranks.
Once they figure out on how they can actually let the Plague be able to use the other half of her powers without getting denied so easily by the survivors then she'll be in a much morefavorable spot.
Clown probably need to get a big update though. He's terrible in his current state. Bugs everywhere and his kit is not only boring but he also has very weak pressure and stalls.
She does though. Her power is completely dictated by survivors, and most survivors at high ranks won't cleanse till the gens are done because she's still just an M1 killer with the possibility of being ranged.
Clown does need a rework though. His power is made for anti loops but it doesn't work as well as it should since most survivors will still make it too pallets and what not, and this is excluding all the bugs he has. He reminds me of Doomfist in Overwatch, where he was really bad since he had 80,000 bugs but got better once the team decided too fix him.
-
No, his gang would be called the Dry Fish Gang.
-
Give pallets a spawning radius like hooks so we dont get double pallets
Sad part is they did. It just doesn't work xD

You don't understand how either of these perks actually interact with each other. Furtive chase constantly switches the obsession to the person whose unhooking from the previously hooked obsession. Dying Light only works when the obsession is dead and if the obsession switches to a living survivor the effect stops working. Furtive Chase would not only give you a lousy effect, it would ensure you're never procing dying light. The entire point of Dying Light is to get rid of the obsession to massively cripple the team as soon as possible. You don't want another obsession target because you won't get the effect. It also doesn't stack should you kill your new obsession.
Furtive Chase as a perk is just plain bad. Shrinking your TR could be a huge boon to a stealth killer, if it were outside of chase. Shrinking inside of chase doesn't do anything except make it easier for the chases to break. The only perk that benefits from a smaller TR in chase would I'm All Ears, but that perk too is pitiful.
Furtive Chase really only works for Freddy, but I feel that says it all for it's current state in the game.
-
Seems like it can be a good combo. What do you all think? And don’t come in here saying Furtive is bad just ‘cause you don’t understand the perk. Lol
The best perk synergy for Furtive Chase is Make Your Choice and possibly Remember Me if it wasn't so bad now. Dying Light would never proc if you had Furtive on since it changes the obsession, so unless the survivor who saved was on death hook it wouldn't be useful at all.

That's actually a cool perk idea, but I doubt they want to rework MoM into something entirely different like that. So imo this would work better as a standalone perk.
I think the only way current MoM should be changed is by making protection hits actually consistent, 'cause they're not at all. You can hit the exact requirements for them and they just won't trigger sometimes. I don't think it would be useless if they were made consistent; hard to earn yeah but that effect should be.
it would give nice counterplay too STBFL, but I don't know how effective it would actually be in game. Even with 2 second increase it would either be really bad since killers would still catch up and smack you, or it would be OP because in 2 seconds you could easily get away from the killer completely and with certain addons and perks, make it way too strong. I would make it give killers a 5% stack increase too their attack cooldown, up too 15% with a 80/70/60 second cooldown.
-
I just stay in low ranks and have fun their. I'm suppose too be in red ranks but its so boring with everyone there just gen rushing, infinite looping, and sweating with OP builds where the only killers who have a chance of safety pip are Spirit, Billy, and Nurse. I would love if this game had Quick Match as a feature so I could play either way depending on my mood.
-
?
People use it too avoid skill checks. it's dumb because I'm pretty sure that it makes gens take longer then if they just learned how too skill check.

@Orion Using a perk in game that the devs made. Its very easy to just say just dont exploit Pepega but at the end of the day casual players who goes on and play everyday cause double blodpoints want more blodpoints so they use that and then get banned because they never go on the forum we need a notification in game... or on the forum
They do. When the Infinite meding bug and the Multiple Killers bug were in the game, they notified people in game that its bannable. It's also in the rules too NOT EXPLOIT THE GAME. You don't need a notification too know exploiting is bad, so if you do it then you deserve the ban. Imagine if that same argument was for people who use aim bot in FPS games. They never say that Aim botting is bannable in game but we all know it is.
-
I enjoy playing the plague; i admit i only play on green ranks mostly but seriously... where are all the plague killers? she's not bad and pretty fun.
The Survivors completely dictate her Damage Puke, and the broken status doesn't prevent loops, gens, vaults, pallets, ect from being done so she's an M1 killer who takes a little bit less time too down people. If someone Purges then their ######### but until then shes bad.
-
It's terrible, and keeping this perk the way it is, hard countering GF from using his power just reduces him to a regular M1 killer its horrible and promotes bullying from the Survivors.
What people don't understand is that this works on all killers with 0 Terror Radius, Wraith and Pig have both had this issue for years, but no one brought it up because no one runs Object until GhostFace. So I see no issue in the perk. If someone has object go after someone else, or get up and stab them twice.
-
I'm All Ears is pretty bad though. I don't see the point in seeing a survivors aura for a few seconds when you could just mindgame and track them better, and if they aren't in a chase they shouldn't be performing rushed actions anyways.
Thrilling Tremors is nice but it should allow you too kick gens, so it has no real synergy besides Corrupt Intervention, which only works for the first 2 minutes.
Furtive Chase only affects the Terror Radius in chases, which is pointless since survivors are looking for the red stain, not the radius. It really only works on Freddy since Freddy can see asleep survivors.
Overall, he has 2 ok perks and one bad perk. There's just better perks too use that do what these do better.
-
Don't you think it's unfair to give them a completely free escape without even 1 Generator being repaired?
Just close the hatch. Or run an aura perk like BBQ too find them before they find hatch. You could also memorize where hatch spawns so it's less time wasted. Plus once hatch is closed the game is over unless they camped near an exit gate.

We do know about it and we are working on a fix. We still need to discuss how we'll handle this, but even if we do decide to ban people who are abusing it (like the Legion blades exploit), there is no need to report it. We can see everyone who's abusing it.

Dude. . . Did you even read the post or are you just entirely clueless?
1) I talk about being chased around by the killer for 5 minutes and say "the killer is around my rank"
2) The only player name I didn't cross out is literally my username on this forum which should've made it obvious I was the rank 11.
3) If it were a 4 man SWF that would mean those were friends of mine I was playing with, and if that was the case I wouldn't be complaining about matchmaking.
i'll admit, i didnt see you were a survivor, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't SWF even if you were not in it.

I hit this about week ago, so I understand the feeling. Congrats and here's too another 1000!
-
Great Job Devs! This is a much welcomed change and will be very healthy for the game!
Typical Survivor main who never played a game of killer in his life. Old MoM was horrid in every way and never should of hit live. Just reading it out loud sounds like complete lunacy and the nerfs were very justified.
-
@Peanits said:
It's not your character model, it's just your camera. The key is consistency more than anything. You don't just have to get him in the center of your screen, you have to keep him there. If he's outside of that zone for more than a split second, his reveal progress is going to start regressing.
Beyond that, at least 20% of his body needs to be visible in order to start revealing him. I would suggest angling your camera down at him slightly to help you see over obstacles a little better. If he's peeking around a corner very carefully, you may not be able to see him at all. In that case, you'll just want to make a run for it and break LOS.
We've got a couple minor QOL changes on the way that should make it feel better.
Those QoL changes are called "nerfing a new killer who hasn't even been in the game a week for any valuable data too be obtained." I'm constantly getting pulled out of Night Shroud at high ranks, so the nerfs are completely unwarented and many people agree. Stop nerfing killers who don't need it!
-
That's the point. I'm pretty sure it was a 4 man SWF with new players joining their friend who does play the game.
@Kilmeran said:
@BunnyTheHutt But even if those three were SWF, a triple-man of 19, 19, and 20 still should not have been mixed in with a Rank 11 survivor teammate and a rank 13 killer. Something is off with the matchmaker.
Had the rank 11 also been in the SWF, then it would have made some sense. But they weren't.

It would only make sense if at least one of them were close to my rank but none of them were. If one of them were rank 13 and the rest were 19 I could possibly understand, but they were all practically new players.
one was rank 11, that is only 2 levels from your rank.

their SWF probably. No other reason it would do this. I have gotten rank 15 in my purple rank games because of SWF.

Sometimes, you'll just have to deal with it. DS is great where it is, I play Killer most of the time. It's boring to know everything a Survivor is gonna do. Tbh, I think most just don't like the perk no matter how many times it's been nerfed, but it's intended design is to let a Survivor escape from a killers grasp and sometimes you'll just have to deal with, unfortunately sorry to say it....
I just wish it wasn't a 5 second stun. With Enduring nerfed into oblivion for no reason, 5 seconds is way too long a time. I would put it too 3 seconds since it can't be lowered.

I don't find the vfx that irritating. It was on the ptb but it was turned down for live. If it hurts other people it's fine if it gets removed since it doesn't bring anything to the table in terms of gameplay.
I don't mind the VFX, but I also don't want people too be hurt by it in real life. so i say good riddance.
-
Any body else considers that ghostface now is way too OP?
Downvoted since this is just silly. He's a Killer who CAN down you in one hit if you are not observent. If you pull him out he's just another M1 killer with a lot of latex and a very long cooldown.
-
@GrootDude said:

At that point that would mean that the killer killed one person so the other three survivors are doomed with five gens left.
Don’t you think that killers that currently stand a chance would become OP if a second objective was added?
No, since they are already the strongest their standing won't change. and as for NOED you could do it where the speed boost is for the first objective, then the exposure is for the gens and that's when survivors know that it's active.
-
I would like the opinion of experienced people ...
No. He is just a basic M1 killer and his power does nothing but locate survivors. You're not even guranteed a hit for finding multiple survivors if they spread out, so chases can take just as long as trapper.
-
@Paladin_Goo said:
The wake up bug is not nearly on the level of what the Legion bug was. Please, stop comparing the two. The Wake Up bug can be completely countered by being a good killer.
They are the same mate. One forced games too last years, and one forces games too last 2 minutes. Both should be bannable since both negatively affects gameplay. And not even nurse can counter it if multiple people are running it.
-
It's been a few years, you'd think they would have added one by now? Some people try to claim Spirit Fury as one but it's pathetically weak at what it does.
How many hour do you have in the game, and what rank are you? Because Enduring + Spirit Fury is the best perks an M1 killer can have. If you REALLY want a perk/killer who can anti loop for free, play Nurse. Otherwise learn too loop or learn too leave survivors if they in a good spot.
-
@gantes said:
TBH I think the right approach is to make hex totems spawn only 1min into the match. Good survivors have the general location of totem spawns memorized, and improving the hiding spots without reducing randomness is very hard. By reducing randomness, you make them even easier to memorize.
Hex totems by default should only spawn 1min or 90s into the match, and perks that have their effect only start after certain events (Huntress Lullaby, Devour Hope) should only spawn after they're actually doing something. All totems should begin dull. That would encourage survivors to cleanse them and make these perks feel less frustrating to use.
I have no clue why this isn't how it works yet. People have been asking for that for ages and it would definitely NOT be too strong. Any input from the devs? @Peanits
Giving survivors time too pop dull totems before the Hex activates is bad. They should just let the killer place the totem themselves which will reduce not only randomness of them, but the problem of them being cleansed in 10 seconds. Plus you are completely nerfing perks such as Haunted Grounds and Ruin with this idea. It makes no real sense tbh.
-
The DBD devs need to get real when it comes to survivors looping pallets. There should be a penalty for doing it.
You seem new, so as a killer main, here is some advice. Leave the pallet or break it. If you are bloodlusting at pallets for hits then you are not doing it right. You should prob get more experience with the game first then post on the forums, because this makes literally no sense.

@kabarekabal said:
I just want his stalk ability to be fair.
It's clear that he's supposed to stealth-stalk you, not so aggressively out in the open, kinda like Myers can.
For those who don't know - Ghostface's expose timer doesn't get reset if he breaks line of sight with the survivor he's stalking, he can then start stalking him again and continue his stalking progresss from where he left previously.
Survivor's reveal timer gets reset on breaking LOS, but ghostface's exposure timer doesn't, and that's unfair, and clearly not how he was intended to work.
Right now a players playing as ghostface get a guaranteed exposure on a survivor they're tunneling because they just break LOS before a survivor has enough time to reveal them, then back to chasing said survivor with little exposure timer left to do.
If he is stalking you out in the open, then you should be able too pull him out, people at rank 10 are doing it. His nerfs are un-necessary and completely unwarented since he came out LESS THEN A DAY AGO and he is already getting nerfed. There is no time for feedback or testing too see how he holds. Right now playing him he is fine and balanced and survivors always pull me out when I'm in the open or when behind walls. He's strong but doesn't need nerfs.
-
This means nothing mate. Getting kills doesn't mean he is OP at all, it just means you killed everyone. I can do the same thing as Freddy at rank 15, doesn't make him OP.
-
@CyberianFaux said:
Thanatophobia is supposed to and wake up is only supposed to be for gates.
No it's not. It only affects gen repairs.
And I agree, their testing team is about 5 people, but it feels like they get rushed into oblivion and the head director is oblivious too it all. He wants too rush out content but doesn't bother with fixing it until every big patch, which means more bugs that will be fixed the next patch. If BHVR just cut 2 chapters a year and let people actually test, bug stomp, and fix the game with weekly patches this game would be in a much healthier state.
-
The problem with Furtive Chase is that it doesn't decrease the red stain, which is what survivors at high ranks look for. Terror Radius means nothing in a chase which is why it's pointless on anyone except freddy, which says it all IMO

Not how that works. If your gonna say a statement such as all female killers are balanced, then you mean all female killers. You can't just cut out someone because they are "too weak" and tear apart your argument from the seams.

Hiho! I don´t know what happened, but when i run my Mikey and even when I run for the 4k, I simply dont get the 4th BBQ token. Anyone else experienced this?
It happens for all stacking perks like Remember me and WGLF, but I don't know if it still counts a 4th token but doesn't show it or if you don't get a 4th token.

I do not agree with this idea.
All the sweaty survivors will be in Quick Match, while all the sweaty killers will be Ranked.
This kind of separate game mode doesn't work in a severely imbalanced asymmetrical game like this. That's why the Devs don't do it, 3 years later.
Basically killers are still going to have hell in Quick Match, Survivors are still going to have hell in Ranked.
I don’t think so. Sure you’ll always get the sweaty killer in Quick Match, and the bad survivors in Ranked, but I think with this system most who would want too be competitive would have a place, and those that don’t want too be competitive have a place as well. Right now it’s just a jumbled mess of “low ranks is for fun, high ranks is for try harding” and it’s just a bad system. Could you imagine if a game like Overwatch, or LoL, or any PvP game had this system in it? It would fall apart. The devs should implement it for the QoL that they want too add. And it seems a lot of people want it as well so I see no reason too not have it done, or at least test it in the PTB, hell that’s why it’s there, too test ideas and see if it sticks.
-
For survivor its not getting slugged, tunneld, or camped.
For Killer, I view it as this: 0-1k is a loss, 2k is a tie, 3-4k is a win.
In the end its about having fun, which is why I like low ranks because I don't have too sweat out my a** just too get a safety pip.
-
How about we just wait and see how he is? no reason too mob the devs when he is STILL in development. Wait till he is in the PTB, play him for a few hours, then see if he is truly as bad as you say he is. For all we know the Dream Pallets and Traps could be great tools that make him Top Tier.

Devs have their own brains you know even if it doesn't appear with some decision they make. They LISTEN to feedback, not impliment it directly into the game. It doesn't matter if said person is maining one side as long as it's a good idea that improves DBD's health.
Improve for Survivors or Killers? we can look at Freddys launch and see how one sided opinions reflect on the devs.

@BunnyTheHutt Also Leather 8th? Woah there. He’s easily the worst killer in the game. His chainsaw, like you said, is not often used on hits because he’s so easy to loop. Leatherface literally has nothing to offer as a killer. If your one good ability (instadown) is so easy to counter, then you’re easily at the bottom.
Other than that, I easily consider Hag top 4, arguably the second best in game and Clown at best, is Low C tier. You’re too harsh on Freddy.
This is just MY opinion though.
Leatherface is 8th too me since he doesn't have too deal with MoM as much as other killers. he's bad, but no where near as bad as someone like Wraith, Legion, or Plague. And Hag is no where near top 5, since she still has too deal with MoM and can't insta down. like Myers, Huntress, or Billy.

Flip Clown and Freddy around and I'll more or less agree with the list. I will never understand the love this community has for Clown. He just annoys survivors and causes them to drop safe pallets earlier. Ruin is not necessary on Freddy. I run Devour Hope, Enduring, Spirit Fury, Bamboozle. He's actually one of like 3 killers I don't use Ruin on.
Freddy is no where near as good as Clown. Clown doesn't have too wait 7 seconds just too be an M1 killer, and since it's pretty easy for people too escape dream world, Freddy is not that good. Clown also has anti loop potential, unlike freddy, who's power does nothing for chases, and not having ruin on him is a detriment since everyone leaves the dream world in 10 seconds since they all get on one gen, blow it up once, then finish it and run off while Freddy sits and has a nice diet of pallets. I love Freddy a lot, but hes bad, and is no where near as good as Clown.

I feel like the pig is F tier now because of the gen update.
She's really bad but her power does still slow the game down, even if it is by 10 seconds, and it is really good against SWF since no one wants too kill their friends.

Please, can we just have three chapters a year? These last two killers feel so rushed. Low-quality, untested content isn't good for the game's health.
Agreed. We don't want quantity we want quality and Legion, Plague, and now Ghostface don't live up too the standards we want. We already are getting 2 maps for 4 Chapters, so just can 2 chapters and make it 3 chapters a year, I would even be fine with 2 a year since it sounds like the Testers are incredibly rushed on projects when looking at the Anniversary stream.
