So, do you feel like the win streak had anything to do with you having demogorgon? Or just being a good M1 killer player? It sounds like you could have done the same using Charlotte, Meyers lvl 1/2, Trapper with no traps, or any other group.
Not trying to be adversarial, but it sounds less like you demogorgon'd well and more like you just made a strong case for slugging as a gameplay technique.
Did you guard your slugs, or just move on and hunt the next player and marginally proxy camp them?
With the Twins yes I could do it. Not with any other M1 Killer. Demo is by far my best killer and I am not comp level at all. I varied my strategy from game to game and tried to adapt to what the survivors were doing. If I had not adapted with different back up strategies the streak would have ended at 10. Tons of amazing teams. The team that beat me was a comp level team who dominated me fair and square. But having said that, this streak is NOT to promote slugging as a playstyle. But I just wanted a world record in the SBMM era to show my love of Demogorgon.

Why Shadowborn?
You get 15 FOV and it counteracts the negative of Monitor and Abuse (Keeps the screen from wobbling). And I was running a fun meme build for the challenge. M&A on mr stompy stomp is not a best fit.

Where the salt mines you found very rich? Cause slugging every one of them I'm thinking there had to been more salt than normal.
I think only 1 person cursed at me. I did also get a frowny face lol. I apologized in stream but I was going for the record (Which I got as of the new SBMM implementation). I am normally a friendly killer main so I figure 2 times out of the last 3 months is acceptable lol.

What was your go to Demogorogon strategy? Did you chase till slug? Did you set up portals and just gen hop? What addons did you like best?
For this challenge I used no Addons. But if I ran any it would be Sunglasses & Rat Liver.
My win condition was Slugging. I only laid down portals if I was losing (Happened at least 4 times during streak). My loss condition was a coordinated team with lots of heal conditions. The team that beat me was the first team to run 2 Blessings & 2 Soul Guards.

Do you think Demo should get his interaction with Coup de Grace back?
The one where his Shred takes 100% (pre-nerf) longer, so you got farther. It also didn't consume a stack of Coup de Grace.
This same thing worked for Miss Piggy and I believe Oni?
Yes the more variety the better for the game.

I'm at over 300 games already. But I am going to call this challenge a fail. With no DC penalties I cant get a decent game without winning at least a 2k. As a no kill killer. Its ok to fail and I can always pick it up later. Its just a waste of my time right now when the first down dc's every game and soon followed by their que buddies. My thoughts on the totems are, they are WAY too strong. But hey I am a nobody. I might switch to D2R now that Demo Shreds don't count anymore. It kind of took the one shining thing in the game I loved and deleted it. At least I went out #1. I dont think I am going to post here anymore. So God Bless you all and I wish you the best. You can close this thread. Bye.

The real question is:
If someone hits the casual button, can they just DC for what ever reason because the game 'doesnt matter'?
I dont see why there would even need to be a penalty for DCing. I mean both casual Survivors and Killers are already assured base 50% of Maximum bps. What's it matter if someone DC's. Even the killer. But if BPS were easy to get like this and not sweaty I am sure the DC rate would be far smaller.

@Nos37 said:
So a killer could choose Casual for an entire month, tank their MMR, and then disable it the next month for EZ matches at their low MMR?
Heck come to think of it Casual MMR could simply be auto 800 MMR for the month. Then normal if not selected the next month. Thank you pointing that out.

Public leaderboards are probably fine (but there is a decent chance it will be abused, keep reading).
Unique rewards for being on the leaderboards is not fine. That will lead to win trading and all kinds of other problems. If you are friends with a high rank Killer / Survivor player you can just queue at the same time to attempt to get into the same lobby and then have the Killer focus only on the other three Survivors. This will give the Killer more MMR as well as that one Survivor. The higher your MMR is the easier it should be to get matched into the same lobby together.
Guild Wars 2 has / had this exact problem: Unique titles (special text under your character name) and gizmos (makes an image appear above your character) for the top PvP players, with public leaderboards. This lead to win trading and allegedly even real money trades, i.e. pay me X amount of real money and I will let you win against me to boost your rank. The chance of something similar happening in Dbd is extremely high if public leaderboards are added, and even more so with unique rewards.
Casual mode is fine. I think having a mode that ignores MMR is a good idea. Maybe instead it could be a weekly / monthly special queue with different rules, such as only allowing certain perks for all players, or a completely different objective such as draining pustula petals from that one Halloween event instead of repairing generators. Overwatch has rotating "casual modes" like this for example.
I hear you. But a Charm is like ... so minor lol. Sure they might win trade, I mean I really couldnt care as I would be in Casual lol. Win trade for a charm seems like a small price to pay really lol. Thank you for your insight and thoughts.

Yeah, but it's a really measly amount of BP.
500K is basically nothing if you have BPS and BBQ on someone like Doctor or Nemesis.
The main reward is knowing your number 1, the charm is a minor reward, the bps are just bps lol.

That is pure speculation
There's no point of an MMR system if there are people who can just make it so they play at the worst MMR. Because if there's actual bad players that don't use the casual mode, they are just going to get stomped. I think that would make it so there isn't even a high skill MMR.
You are right I am speculating based on killers posts on this forum, the vocal minority, and some videos by content creators I trust. My understanding is most killers are higher MMR which is why they have LONG que times. But I have short Que times. Can you guess why? Again these Casuals will play against each other at the lowest MMR (Say 800). New players will play at 1100 MMR with new killers. The best competitive Survivors and Killers who want to be #1 on leader boards will play each other at High MMR (Over 9000). This makes 3 ques for killers instead of 1.
-
@[Deleted User] said:
2nd one is bad, it would completely mess up MMR. If they aren't going to remove MMR they definitely aren't going to add mechanics to circumvent it.
I'm not understanding how it messes up MMR? Currently almost all killers are high MMR. This would allow 3 groups in MMR instead of 1 or 2. Group 1 Lowest ELO Causal killers and Survivors. Group 2 Medium ELO New Players & New Killers. Group 3 Highest ELO Killers and Survivors.

Your wrong. I have already done a 1000 game test and low MMR survivors still face the best killers in the game 15% of the time.
-
Spirit is Done at 53 Games, played 3 extra because 12 people died to End Game Collapse. Made 466,148 BPS or 8,795 Per Game. Next Im playing Oni, I am playing the killers I dislike the most first. People just do gens a LOT slower when they are vs a spirit she took twice as long to complete as Nurse. The two perks I used were Lighborn & Insidious, no addons, no sound.

Cool story bro. I never said I don't have fun. I never said it's against rules. Tried yourself in writing stories for preschoolers? You would be good at it!
Yes, you can be toxic in game. The fact that you pretend not knowing about it after spending that amount of time in game and on forums confirms what I said. Let me do a forum search for you: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/search?Search=toxic
Ohhh my, what a surprise! Only over a thousand pages of results!
You win, thank you.

IMO CI is better on Hag & Trapper. LP is better on every other killer especially those that need instant pressure. Imagine a game as Gunslinger on a large map, before you find someone 2 gens done VS getting a hook before 1 gen pops. I would argue LP is almost best in slot on Demogorgon.
-
Really my biggest issue is the new hit validation on Killer and the missing voice lines on Pinhead. Other than those two minor gripes I am extremely grateful for the job BHVR has done in adding content to this game and updating it. Now if they would add a leader board for every survivor and killer (Letting us see our mmr) that resets once a month I think content creators would flock to this game even more.
-
@Yords said:
you will never get it done because there will be someone along the way who will kill themselves on hook before you can finish
I have already completed 52 games on nurse (because of 6 deaths in end game collapse I played 2 extra games). And I am almost done with the Spirit already. If the good Lord is willing I will finish this within the month.

@tester said:
Nahhh... You just want to deMMR, so you can dominate noobs later. Just another toxic player.
You cannot be toxic in game, only in chat and on forums. Ive let over 7k survivors live on purpose this year alone. Don't pretend like you understand my motivations at all. Nice coinage of a term DeMMR. As if its against the rules or some higher moral code. This is a party game and its supposed to be fun. If you don't have fun at your current mmr why not change that? I play with sound off and no addons and I like fun builds.
-
Ill tell you what they never expect, agitation, iron grasp, mad grit & Hoarder. You get information from Hoarder and try your best to hook fast so they wont notice your perks, then snowball at the best opportunity.

I play Survivor/Killer 50/50.I swap when either makes me rage. Usually play about a week before switching.
Note: I NEVER SWF with voice comms.
You however, your entire modus stinks of Survivor bias.
You are still stuck on the fallacy that slugging is "not fun" for Survivor (whereas its in many senses preferable to being hooked, as you dont get hook stage and have somewhat of a chance even to manage crawl/hide till pickup, and you are COMPLETELY ignorimg that slugging can be fun for killer and is a core mechanism of Killers.
Hey I too get in a slugging mood occasionally ... its best for me not to read chat those days lol. Yes its valid and fair.
-
At higher MMR I am seeing a LOT of 3-5% speed boost on survivors, they are trying to be subtle but when youve done a loop 100k times you kinda know when you should get a hit.
-
Hi #9 Cannibal in DBD by chainsaw downs here. There are two very successful playstyles I use for fun. 1) Proxy camp your first down and snowball that into a 4k (By Slugging all 4). 2) Chase the survivors and right before you can M1 them, M2 Instead. Perks that work great on him are BBQ, Bamboozle, and any other two perks you like such as Pop or Surge. I personally use Lightborn & Sloppy. I will admit I am not even good at his new M2. But the guy is a chase monster. Hope this helps? Oh you can also spam M2 for 2 charges instead of one at the cost of the cooldown without even timing it. I know lol I play him without sound =P. I hate to say it but a lot of his skill comes from playing him a ton IMO. (Also I dont like his addons). Here is a good rule of thumb. Is a survivor slugged? No? Then Slug one and chase another (Map Pressure). Is the survivor still slugged? Hook the 2nd one you chased. Rinse and repeat.
-
I did get it after they created end game collapse. But I only ever did it once it was a nice killer. But dont fret now that hatch counts as a draw I am hoping this achievement will get easier. When I play survivor I make a conscious effort to not run the killer too much, not hide too much. I play Red Vest Ash so I get given more hatches than usual. I would just try to be as kind to the killer as possible wish I had a magic answer.

A good team of survivors will always destroy a Legion but occasionally you do get that match where the survivors are terrible and you stomp them, even as a weak killer. I got Legion after 5 tries, losing the first four games horribly then winning on the 5th one.
As a person who was a Legion main let me say almost no team can win if you use BBQ, Pop and almost any other two perks. But if you want specific advice for Legion Adept, use his power only until its maxed, it counts against you slightly. Make sure you milk every single hook you can out of the survivors that means play nice, then on death hook take out the best survivor first.
-
Will you do Survivor next? One day you will be in the 100% club with me and I feel like it wont take long ggz my friend.

Where do u check your MMR?
I use maths lol it was postulated within 40 games you could either cap your mmr or tank it. From 1100 to 1900. Thats 20 points max per game, so for killer that is 5 points per survivor, for survivor if they escape (Not through hatch) they get the full 20. From Datamined info. Yes its not completely correct (With supposed soft caps) but its close enough to land a grenade.

I believe that I am the worst Huntress EU. There was a rift challenge (I think it was hit 4 long range shots in one game - and I'm on controller without a crosshair on my TV) and survivors were literally sat working on gens ignoring me and I still couldn't hit them at range - I didn't bother going for short range hits. Needless to say I got quite a few zero kills in a row before a lovely AFK Bill helped me out. Now all my Huntress games are quite easy.
What I would really like to know is, can your weakest killer drag your highest killer's MMR down? I'd love to know what happens after the experiment and you switch to your main.
No, because if that was the case all of my killers would be lower MMR, When they flipped the switch I think it was intended to be permanent. Honestly how many people can spend the time playing with the system. When my Demo was lowest MMR possible all my other killers were still getting op 4 man swfs.

Can you explain again please in case i miss something why u do it?
Its just something fun to do, I am being nice to 5,000 survivors this month and maybe brighten their day. I get to talk to you guys about my results. I trend towards no kill killer anyways so I hated having high mmr on all my killers. I want to do some dailies in peace ESPECIALLY on killers I dislike or am not good at. Currently I am punished for 1 killers performance (Darn you Gunslinger!!).
-
@JawsIsTheNextKiller said:
Will this work though? Your killers by default are tied MMR-wise to your strongest killer, so if your Spirit is at 1700, your Nurse might start at 1500. There might be a limit on how far you can stretch Nurse's MMR from your highest rated killer.
It certainly seems to be working. I will tell you my interesting results at the end. Its too early to form a conclusion yet. As far as I know this will work. Since I did it on my Demo two weeks ago then worked my way back up to 1900. It should in theory only take 40 games, I am taking extra precautions.
-
Nurse is Done at 52 Games, played 2 extra because 6 people died to End Game Collapse. Made 125,532 BPS or 2,414 Per Game. Next Im playing Spirit, I am playing the killers I dislike the most first.

It doesn't that happen to me that often.
I don't mind to play against good SWF and just have hard, but good game. Where it is skill and not carried by items and offering.
But I just hate SWF that destroy killers and think it is something hard to do...
Whats funny is I was playing no kill killer yesterday. And I faced a swf all pc and I was like great well have a good time. So for half the game they all ran when I came near. And in chases they seemed about 3% faster than normal, something only someone with thousands of hours would notice. They had all the good second chance perks. So I killed them with gusto. Boy that end game chat was like playing a whole nother game LOL.

OP: There is no anti-camping perk. Best you can do is take anti-tunnelling and just hookbomb and hope it works out in the end. DS is mandatory for that, realistically.
You got your share so be thankful lol. You could have gotten more than your fair share =). SRSLY, as a killer main those types always get the hammer. No joke.

The Best Anti Camping perk is ... Don't be a flashlighting, Tea Bagging Survivor. Its not a rare perk but a lot of survivors use it and its super effective lol.

Yea considering all the people that go for streaks etc it would make sense to have a leaderboard for funzies.
Just imagine how much MORE popular DBD would be if there were some kind of Goal streamers could reach for every month?? There could even be a "Hardcore" leaderboard for Each Individual Survivor and Killer who use NO perks. BHVR I am throwing you a idea that could make you millions here, grab it!

No but I wish it did. I also wish there was a leader board for specific killers and survivors. Then content creators could race every month to see who ends at #1. You know, fun stuff.
