True, it's weird to see that the store is very limited on what you can actually see. Especially since they decided a microtransaction store was the play.
I remember when the AOT skins were in sale, but I don't think they actually showed them on the stores front page.
-
It's as I say, either leave or don't leave after the gend are done.
Plus that "pressure" is alleviated by a good 2 minutes when someone is downed or hooked (a feature I have on many occasions said needs to be removed).
You have plenty of time, probably more than you actually need to get them out alive.
-
They did update that to try to stop it yet. It did nothing. I still say they should make the survivor have to commit a lot longer to stop regression.
-
I mean, any new player is without most perks unless they want to use their actual money to buy a vital part of the game that has been conveniently locked behind a paywall.
Sure the free characters perks are okay, but the point still stands.
Not counting the shrine because it's a cop out.
-
It's my opinion that the way the game is structured gameplay wise, the devs are going to reach a point where the gameplay loop is going to get stagnated and basically be "locked".
If they add in base kits to everything...then we'd a game where the gameplay has changed so dramatically purely because of the amount of conditions there are to actually be able to play.
-
Because at the end of the day there isn't too much variety to how you play.
Both are tunnelling something and that's how it is unless the devs decide to switch up the gameplay loop.
-
No clue, but its a good change to have been made.
Need less of the hand holding stuff.
-
Well...I say this about pretty much any game. It wouldn't be very money earney. Plus, they probably keep them for survivor dlc. To make you pay more.
-
Could just take away the attempt to escape and struggle mechanic. They could unlock the interaction with Deliverance or slipper meat.
-
Still working on their next feng skins 💀
-
I'm on the opposite side actually. The voice lines should go 😂
-
That's how it should've been done honestly.. make survivors have to go for the unhook and make the start up animation longer and less cancellable and keep hook grabs.
-
I feel that.
-
Imma be real deal bro. I think they gotta get special permission to even reply and they gotta get that reply approved. That's just business too. Cause these people will definitely try some stuff with what they say. Not even hating. I don't think bhvr wants the devs to be super outright on things.
-
Can't argue with that.

There's no way you can make an anti-tunnel system that isn't a heavy nerf to killers chasing in general or abusable by survivors.
Yessir. Loops, pallets, windows. That's the mechanic. Buffing something like that and killers are not going to have fun

I feel like some people might be wilfully misinterpreting this response.
Now, as a disclaimer, I'm not necessarily defending this statement, as I personally think they could easily add in something for hitting Prestige 100 that wouldn't be so much it causes the problem they want to avoid, but I do think specifically likening it to FOMO store practices kind of misses the point that BHVR are making, at least in my view. I'm also obviously not defending the FOMO store practices themselves.
My interpretation of this response is that they don't want Prestige 100 to be a thing players feel they're supposed to be working towards. They don't want it to feel like the default assumption that obviously you're gonna grind for ages to hit that milestone to get the flashy cool cosmetic tied to it, because grinding to P100 takes forever and would absolutely frustrate players who don't already feel like doing it. If the reward for hitting P100 is too good, people are going to feel like they have to - or at least should - undertake that grind themselves. If it's not good enough, it'll be kinda insulting for the people who did grind for it.
If you dangle an actually cool and desirable thing behind a massive grind, more players are going to choose to undertake that grind, which can be a problem when it's not actually designed to be something every player does. Most players would be frustrated with how long it takes to get the cool thing, which BHVR want to avoid because it's not meant to be something you do in order to get a cool reward. It's meant to be there, as they say, for if you've done everything else.
FOMO store practices are the literal opposite of this concept; they're meant to push players to engage with the thing (purchasing skins, in this case) if they'd otherwise be on the fence, because they'd lose the chance otherwise. Two different arguments are happening here.
That being said, I do think there is a middle ground here and there could be appropriate P100 rewards. I just want to criticise BHVR on what they're actually saying, and I think too many people are laser-focusing on the specific two words "missing out" without engaging with the wider point- which, as far as I can tell, is that P100 should not be a thing you choose to do because you want what's at the end of it, due to it being a long and irritating grind for even one character, let alone all the characters you might play.
Yeah, what this guy said. Weird comparison on this.
-
Meh, I wouldn't say battlepass skins should come back just because people missed them by not playing the game at the time. So it'd be weird to call it FOMO.
-
Gonna go with Jeff
-
Slinger does need them reverted. All the nerfs did was kill the killer and make another killer non viable for actual good games.
-
A good 3/10.
That 3 is mainly the characters. Gameplay really holds the game down.
-
Well I can turn that all around.
I hardly find it fun as killer. Can't play any I'd like because they are too weak and looping is just awful to go against. Almost no way to get hits if your just a casual.
Xeno can be countered by the same things any other killer can be countered by. Just keep in mind it's xeno and it's pretty easy.
Tunneling and camping. Boohoo on that honestly. Killer can't kill without doing those half the time. I mean, just by hitting a loop your practically wasting a time as killer.
If you don't wanna wait around for the last 2. DC and take the penalty.
I can't say anything about the skull merchant stuff.
Any good or competent enough survivor will have a good enough time.
-
I can feel the gifting and removal of linked sets features. I don't like the linked sets idea, I think it's stupid, unless the skin is unique (like the trapper krampus skin).
I don't care much for the backpack thing. Kinda weird to see them.
And for the emotes. I don't use the "this isn't fortnite" because I think it's a stupid excuse. But this just isn't fortnite. We don't need to see someone griddy on the other side of a pallet.
-
That'd be terrible. Not just to balance either. Giving survivors safer and safer base kits isn't a good solution.
-
I mean, killers can't just down someone. That takes time if your good enough to loop. A genuine almost 30 seconds of guaranteed looping. That's no fun to the killer.
Of course different players. A really good killer could down someone very early, but even still.
The killer being able to knock the same guy is fair and shouldn't be punished or changed.
-
I don't think it needs an update and I'd if they decide to have a bleed out feature, I'd be cool with it just saying "end it" or "bleed out". Of course there probably shouldn't be an option anyways.
The sigils would just be bad. Really bad. Especially when the killer has reasons to not hook someone.

More base kit perks. Yes, because that is such a great idea. Can't wait until literally nothing will work against survivors anymore because they have a base kit perk for every situation on top of their normal perks, which punish the killer for going for chases.
Survivors are currently running around the map with 20 perks. Let's not make it 28.
Pretty much this. It doesn't fix anything.
-
I don't know, but bhvr just seems to like them. They already have outfits which are sets just not linked.
The obvious answer is just they want more money from the cosmetic purchases. Which is also probably just the answer and it isn't that deep.

Serious question, not trying to cause drama.
Should it occur that information comes out that the, keyword, "allegations" are determined to be false. Would you reinstate the original voice?
I say this, as someone who doesn't actually know who this person is, or any of the allegations surrounding them.
I doubt they would. Not because they are bad people or anything, but just because it's already been done.
-
Wouldn't put it past bhvr to nerf. We all knew aht happened to Deathslinger
-
Mm. Not exactly what I was expecting the reason to be, but I suppose you can't blame bhvr there...
-
I wouldn't say that....
-
Noted.
-
No. Even if the killer isn't killing you in this scenario. They are still looking for the other survivor whilst keeping you off gens as much as they can.
-
It'd be great. No reason a survivor shouldn't open the gate if it's 99'd. Their goal is too escape and so they should do it.
-
Game was built without it and after so long, doesn't really need it. In the words of so many, it's just unnecessary at this point. Sure it could be helpful whatever.
And that's ignoring the obvious people can't be trusted with comms, since that goes for any game with comms.
-
not a chance. No.
-
That'd be a pass. If the killer wants 4 kills, they'd have to risk hatch if they killed and that only help the survivors. Of course losing track of the downed survivor can also be an issue. Thank goodness for deer stalker at least.
-
I've spent money on the game. That's all there is nothing else.
The game has long been thrown in the gutter and the only reason I keep up with it is to see if the devs will make moves to actually improve the game and build on it.

For better or worse, and whether the TCM devs like it or not, really, they just entered a gaming genre where DBD has ruled the roost and had no viable competition since Friday The 13th: The Game fell down and went 'Boom!'. They're going to get compared everywhere.
I wouldn't say DBD has ruled anything, more like just given most players Stockholm syndrome or something, but your not wrong when you say any competition hasn't entirely been viable.
-
I thought it was cool until I read "The Xenomorph has entered the fog" only to realize it has in fact not entered the fog.
I'll still take a look at it though.
-
Nice
-
My friends say emotes would be cool. I say the game just ain't built to have emotes.
-
I probably wouldn't have said it before, but I'd agree with the idea of it now.

Explain why it's a bad idea to nerf facecamp, even tunneling is fun compared to dying on first hook to a bubba
Kinda invalidates the whole no hook grab. "Yeah, killers can still get the trade". Proceeds to eliminate a need to trade by not needing the survivors to trade or unhook as long as they can make the killer run close to the survivor on hook, but also force the killer away from hook since they can't commit to a chase close to hook anyways.

Atleast give some valid facts and ideas if you think that way.
I just think any dev would play the game to some capacity. Whether it's just play testing or actually enjoyment. I mean a good way to test something is to see it in action right?

Sadly my favorite game is being removed from stores this year F13. I loved that game it sucks that that game had to die cause of legal problems
Yep. Great game while it lasted.
-
As survivor, you just have to escape.
As killer, you need to kill 4 survivors.

I always found that such a ignorant statement.
Hate to say it but developing a game does in fact not involve playing casual matches and having fun.
It's spending hours searching through a code to find ways to fix a bug. Most of their time is probably spend on making sure that the next chapter functions.
People who say that devs should play their own game are more often then not people who play it for 3-4+ hours a day. You're bassically asking them to take a second non-paying job. These are people with a life.
If you feel like things are changing too slow and think that the solution is that the devs should spend more time playing their game rather then actually working on it then you're not the sharpest knife in the drawer
I don't know. I think it's a fair statement. Along with saying Devs should listen to their community. Just look what happened with HyperScape and the wizard game.
Not saying anything else. I don't think it's that much bad to say.

Recently there was a dev comment to the effect of "We're not going to waste a lot of precious development time on lower usage killers. At best each killer is only impacting 3% of the game, we can better use dev time to have a larger impact on the game by focusing on other aspects"
With the recent Sadako rework I'd also worry that any larger changes would be detrimental to the fun aspect of the killer.
I'm adding that to the list.
