  • You are either a gamer with a galaxy brain or you use Iron will.

The Spirit is hard to play against but she can still be juked if you are unpredictable.

But just in case you are a ######### survivor there is also the "Leave game" button but I'd only recommend that option if you wanna admit that you are a bad survivor :^)

  • My guy I might not be a hard-core Plague main but I really love playing her in red ranks I don't think she's weak I'd actually say she's pretty good but underrated.

Plague needs perks that allow her to have snowball potential like Infectious Fright in my opinion, if people choose to just not heal at all and start to stick around you will surely get a down at some point (which is also why I like to use monitor and abuse because it's just so nice on her)

She also benefits beautifuly from perks like I'm All Ears, Thanatophobia in combination with Dying light.

But the most important part would be running one of the Apple add-ons which spawn a corrupt fountain from the start or something like Iridesent Seal. Recently I've haven't had a problem with downing red ranks as Plague and I've actually seen a surprising amount of people cleansing themselves aswell. I really think she is just very underrated but I could definetly agree with some buffs to her movement speed while chargin/holding/canceling the purge.

Well, noed is also a mega crutch perk if you ask me. My point is that killers complain just as much as survivors.

Noed at least has a counter and it's countered even more now by perks like Innter Strenght, but you gotta understand that Killers most of the time have a reason to complain. I get it Noed is ######### to play against and in my eyes the only Killer that is allowed to use noed for me would be LF because he is really #########. But Killers recieve many nerfs that usually don't try to fix a problem they just make things even worse.

Then the killer mains also want easy games since they keep complaining about gentimes/adrenaline/ds etc.

Gen times are no fun for either side if a game is over even before you could see the Killer it will be boring as ######### which I had several times now, Adrenaline is a mega crutch perk and is just annoying to deal with because you can't deal with it, DS is still DS an unfun perk that now has somewhat of a proper use but is still far to strong

  • No. If you need more than 1 second chance after being tunneled then you don't deserve another one

  • Played with the new Freddy and as a Freddy main, I'm very satisfied.

I think it's a fair balance that when the Trial starts to conclude he loses mobility but by that time he has a whole lot of fake pallets or snares set up giving him an edge in chase. I as a Freddy and Spirit main absolutely love the new Freddy and the way his game play flows

I have to disagree with you. I think there are a number of things they should do to make prestiging more tolerable, but buying a prestige rank for 1 million BP is something they should never do. Here are some examples of things I would like to see them do instead.

When prestiging, the character gets all of their teachable perks at whatever the prestige rank is. So for example, if someone were to get their Hillbilly to prestige 2, Hillbilly would have Lightborn, Enduring, and Tinkerer all at rank 2 automatically.

I also think whenever a player prestiges they should be able to choose 1 non-teachable perk that they've unlocked per prestige rank to retain. So for example, a player gets prestige 1 and chooses to keep BBQ. When that player reaches prestige 2 he chooses to keep BBQ and Ruin. When that player reaches prestige 3 he chooses to keep BBQ, Ruin, and Bamboozle.

These changes would take a lot of the sting out of the prestige system without completely invalidating the process.

I totally agree with this because it's so cancer to get your Ruin back if you play high ranks and want to prestiege. But I'd also like to see more cosmetic changes something like prestiege Perks. So that if you get to P3 lvl 50 you will actually unlock a reskin of your teachables for that specific Killer, make it so that the perk is red instead of purple or green and put the Rank 1 skull on the top of the perk. That would be something I'd love to see mainly because P3 50 feels kind of like a let down even though you kinda expect something cool to happen

  • That takes the entire point of prestiege away and throws it out of the window why would you want to make a hard to get reward so easily accesable? Prestieging is not something you are forced to do it's an option you have, and it's teling people that you enjoy playing your Killer so much that you would go through the trouble of prestieging them. Allowing you to just not make the sacrifice sounds bad and removes the downside of prestieging which in turn makes prestieging even less rewarding than it is right now

I stand corrected. I guess I need to play survivor more lol. Thanks guys for pointing that out. 😁

I allready got scared that they changed GF's stalk to be visible like that lmao

  • So now that Ghostface is the new laughing stock of killers, when will he get a rework?

GF is pretty good right now I get 3-4ks in red ranks which aren't the easiest because of him getting absolutely destroyed by gens but besides that he is a good Killer if you seriously consider him bad then you have never played LF against a decent team of survivors or you aren't that good on GF

  • Tru3 has very recently uploaded a video about it where he shows a video that's proving that the stun time is actually 0.09 seconds longer than it should be making the stun duration 1.20 seconds instead of the promised 1 second

    https://youtu.be/aO5mFj3sZDI

This is a bug and it should be fixed

  • @AetherBytes said:

Ghostface gets genrushed because people spend too much time inchase. What people don't realize is that Ghostface is a mindgame master, only bested by Spirit. His ability removes his Terror Radius and The Stain. What does this mean? A survivor cannot anticipate youcoming around a corner, and in a lot of cases must assume which way you will go. This mindgame in and of itself can even force survivors out into the open if used correctly.

In chase, trigger Night Shroud. Even if they'll just look at you, that just means they're not looking at where they're going. They either remove your mindgames or risk running into a wall, or even you in some cases. However, do the exact opposite against someone with OoO, and mindgame normally. If you trigger it, then your terror radius is gone, and that means they have wallhacks on you. Do a quick swing if need be to disable NS.

Never rush a gen either, sneak up on it, even if it means different angles, with the only exception is an emergency need of pressure on that one gen

All in short, Ghostface has little gen pressure, but insane chase pressure if you're willing to utilize his power for mindgames, and not just stalking.

I know that there is his big strength with mindgames the main problem is that it is extremly map dependent and it depends heavily on the playtime of the survivor if you get a fairly smart survivor he will know exactly what you might want to do or he will just break you out before you get close enough. I appreciate all survs tho that stand still to break me out while they're marked

  • @Blueberry said:

He has none of the things that make killers high rank viable.

I mean he does have an accessable one hit down but he's especially struggling because of his extremely long cooldown on his power, his lack of a MS boost during his power while out of a chase, and an extremely buggy detection gimick and then there is that normal M1 Killer stuff like getting looped and stunned 24/7

  • @AStupidMonkeyy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/71406/why-do-i-always-get-genrushed-to-#########-with-gf-at-red-ranks

@BottledWater This is why you don't see many GF any more. He's really weak. His power is gimmicky because of the whole 3rd person camera staring thing. He can be looped like Plague but Plague doesn't have to wait and hope and at least she gets rewarded if they cleanse themselves. Plague is a better GF XD

The gimick of his power is sadly needed to make him pretty fun (on anything below rank 8) and fair but it's also the biggest problem ontop of that his presence does not feel threatening while his power is on it's 30 second cooldown which was a unasked for and not needed change and that he doesn't get something like a let's just say 5-10% speedboost while out of a chase and standing up while using night shroud, that would make him so much better he would be really unpredictable and it would make him scary as #########

  • The funny thing is you'd actually expect pallet loooping not to be such a problem and chases do feel short but they actually take forever on him even with a mark on them GF will still need to refresh it in some occasions and even if he doesn't his average chase time is around 40 to 45 seconds from rank 5-1 which I could notice from the Mark expiration and some perk like Pop and Thrilling tremors which is extremly sad

    @Redd said:

He gets pallet looped and is limited to 115% me; so he’s automatically going to get gen rushed.

It will no longer be possible to medium-vault Windows/fast-vault Pallets from a stand-still. You know, those scenarios where Survivors stand right next to a safe pallet and vault back and forth across it with full momentum, something which is not possible in reality.

Just like IRL, Survivors will have to run up to the vaults for a bit in order to get the faster vaults. This change is intended to lower the amount of safe pallets and remove some of the more obnoxious window loops.

Isn't that a good thing? Save Pallets shouldn't even be in the game in my opinion they don't require skill to outplay a killer on them nor can the Killer counter them skillfully. Save pallets should be mindgameable and that change allows it just mind game the killer and pretend you are going to go over the pallet but run a different direction

  • It's not just your opinion ghost face is supposed to be a stealth Killer and not a child in a blanket screming I can't see you so you can't see me

  • @Carpemortum said:

Forgetting where its bugged and not supposed to work when a simple scan happens?

Or how about its been literally ONE DAY of testing. Calm the ######### down everyone.

You don't really need to test him for that long if you play with him several games you will see that his ability is flawed because of the cancel on being spotted. Survivors have a 180° FOV, the ability gets cancelled when a survivor goes over you (with a pretty wide range somewhere on the middle of the screen) and that allready happens after 1 second, your ability will also be instantly cancelled if you get spotted while activating, stalking is useless if the survivor has half a brain, Detection perks work against him, his stalk becomes unavailable if you have been spotted, crouching feels pointless because it only offers use during stealth mode, he has barely any power during a chase which is why he needs to get the drop on the survivors which is hard if your ability gets cancelled every 2 seconds. leaning only works on specific parts of the wall which makes it feel weird, his perk "I'm all ears" has a far to long cooldown for such a neiche effect and several more reasons all relating to being spotted

  • Allow me to give you my upmost condolences for the upcoming patch.

I appreciate your condolences pal but I guess dying once isn't enough. I honestly really don't care about the Legion changes at least he is no longer cancer but Amanda seriously?

  • Sad times for Dentist Swine

    Piggo.jpg

  • Why the Pig changes? Her power could've been a great end-game tool now the traps are virtually useless in the end-game it's quite harsh in my opinion giving her such severe changes without compensation

  • @Ihatelife said:

@BottledWater Because they hear something like that called terror radius? Once they hear it, they're like 50 meters away from you.

You're still a 115% Ms killer and you can still try to either cut them off or you could just zone them into your direction I've never had a survivor team just not heal against me and still win

  • @Ihatelife said:

@BottledWater I'm curious if the spirit would be nerfed that way, than you would be a calm like now?

Well yes because it's an undeserved change? You can't compare a fairly well balanced Killer to a killer like Legion. A killer without any counterplay at all these nerfs add counterplay. And if you play high-ranks as plague and you see survivors not heal then how tf are you not catching them? They are litterly injured making your job easier and shortening the chase by a fuckload

  • @Ihatelife said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/425504#Comment_425504

Do you forget that no healing is a meta now? Just stop.

Have you ever seen a survivor not healing against a 115% Ms killer? Because I sure haven't at least not a single one that survives so and if you have then maybe reconsider your Perk choice or your playstyle

  • @Ihatelife said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/425491#Comment_425491

I know how the expierience looks like with M1 killer. Thank you.

Then you would also know that Legion is now able to take things like sloppy butcher or nurses calling because nobody wants to stay injured against a 115% Ms killer and that coupled with his insane ability to injure survivors will make him probably better than expected so again consider all options insead of just whining about how bad everything is

  • @The_Bogeyman said:

Devs done good with these new changes. Real good.

I wouldn't say real good nor good because we didn't get a chance to test them but they definetly did not ######### over Legion completly

  • @Ihatelife said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/425479#Comment_425479

Good coming with the change? There is not even an one buff that will be useful for them. Again we are gonna test another boring killer. That's not how the updates for the characters should looks like.

Increased Ms, Reworked add-ons, more time in the Frenzy. These things combined encourage a better playstyle than the current Legion encourages, by actually allowing him to play how he's intended to be played. but because of his increased base MS he will actually be quicker at downing a survivor after Frenzy and he isn't required to use it in the begining of the match. Maybe actually read the patch notes completely and thinking about all possibilities before you ######### talk the Devs before you even got a chance to try these changes out

  • @PigNRun said:

The problem is the following. Devs have been screwing up lately. And I am not saying they deserve being shat on, but all the outrage you are seeing is cumulative frustration.

It all started with Legion's PTB. People were expecting a different kind of Killer, and it came with issues. Issues the community warned the Developers about and they got ignored. Bandaid fixes were applied. The engine update also came with several technical issues.

Moving on, we got the insignificant mid-chapter patch. Really few changes, leaving bigger issues left unresolved.

Then Plague... Both a good and a bad patch. Good, because they finally addressed DS. Bad, because all agreed Plague was mid-tier at best during PTB, and upon release she got shat on with a nerf literally no one asked for. All requests to make her actually decent were ignored.

Then came Ash. Mettle of Man, not a particularly OP perk by itself, but a second chance perk with no counter and outstanding synergy with broken mechanics and already meta perks. Still no word about it, other than "We are looking at feedback but we wont rush it".

And now, the Legion rework everyone was interested on. It was a really big disappointment. Even the proposed endgame changes and Freddy rework are looking grim because they even thought this Legion rework was acceptable to come onto the PTB.

So, the issues we have: Months of enduring infinite loading screens and random DCs, a new weak Killer which is played less than Clown, a stance from Developers in which more second chance perks for Survivors are ok, an idea to completely ruin a decent character (doesnt matter if its powerful or not), and other stuff. Add on to this the players' experiences with the PTB testing and lack of genrush and low tier Killers solutions.

The Legion change might not really be that bad tho the PTB is a test envoirement afterall so the Devs are kind of supposed to bring controversial changes to the PTB. None of these changes are Final but I actually kind of like the way they're going at it encouraging the intended playstyle while also allowing him to play like a somewhat normal Killer. I can understand the commulative frustration tho MoM is kind of a weird one I don't like it but I don't hate it, the plague is actually in kind of a better spot than on PTB because of the increased MS during charge up but to balance it out they nerfed her MS while holding her gooey-fun-beam

  • @Ihatelife said:

Excuse me honey, but I don't pay for the nerfed killer to the ground. Like the @tt_ivi_99 a lot of nerfs are unnecessary. The best thing about this is that our opinion doesn't matter for them.

You are actually acting as if the Devs never listen at all. If they weren't listening they wouldn't have considered changing Legion nor would they have considered changing the end-game and Freddy like I've told @tt_ivi_99 there will be alot of good coming with the change

  • @tt_ivi_99 said:

Anyone with half a brain knows those nerfs to the Legion are unnecessary bs the devs implemented because in their vision of balance any buff has to come with a downside...

Well anyone with a full brain would actually think about these changes and they would consider the chance of them not actually harming him that much because if you think about it, he will gain a more fun and quicker way of downing survivors while still having a somewhat time waster ability and the ability of being able to get an easy first hit, but they will actually have a downside like any proper killer needs to have but people without a proper function brain will instantly call the devs horrible human beings and will act before considering all options

  • @Plu said:

I think it's not only because of the legion planned change, but MoM release as well, it makes alot of killer's blood boil and now they just lash out, it's a big overreaction but an understandable one.

But for now let's wait for the ptb to see if the changes are that bad.

I can understand that people might overreact a bit after the changes have been made public but I don't really think it's that deserved to still give them ######### for it and for some reason completely unrelated ######### because I've seen people complain about the DS changes while complaining about these patchnotes at the same time. I think people kind of need to over think their opinion on these changes because they might just put him in a better spot

  • @Someissues said:

There's a thing called patch notes, some of the things are self explanatory without having to test it, and combined with other nerfs all together is overkill

    • The Deep Wound timer progress is no longer reduced by regular Feral Frenzy attacks.

I think this is actually a good change because it discourages Legions "tunnel-ish" playstyle of just stabbing down a single survivor which is unfun for both sides and it incourages his intended playstyle of running around and stabbing different survivors and injuring them quickly and because of his increased MS it's actually possible to catch up to a survivor and M1 them properly. Maybe you should also inform yourself more because not_queen stated that Add-ons will give this ability back to Legion. Yes his ability uses utility mid-chase but for that he's most likely quicker and more reliable at doing his job

  • @Kaalaxi said:

Negative feedback is important, the silent majority tend to just stop playing if something is wrong. Give praise and criticism where its do and all will be groovy.

Constructive criticism is understandable and good but giving the Devs ######### for things addressed quite a while ago and actually giving them ######### for the DS changes is not understandable in my eyes and is just people being butt hurt

  • @FreyatheKind said:

Personally I’ve gotten my money’s worth and then some with this game, both as survivor and killer. Wish folks understood changes and fixes aren’t instantaneous.

True nor are they final, the Devs can always do changes before the release

  • @Kilmeran said:

Hey, not only will I not give the devs any ######### about this, but I also won't give Behavior any future money for DLCs. That decision has already been made, so I guess it's a win-win.

I mean if you wanna do that then it's your choice you can unlock almost all characters through play time, so do what you wanna do I don't think it'S that mature tho to act like this over a single change that only has been on paper for us so far

  • @MistressChara said:

I think it's understandable given how sweeping these changes are. Of course we haven't gotten the chance to test them but even still a lot of people like to play Legion and like the character. To see the power completely changed (and lets be honest, it definitely at least looks like a massive nerf) is hurtful to a lot of people. I'm sure more constructive and detailed discussions will come out when the PTB is released.

Definetly agreed but most people seem to completely ignore how the new Legion might be much more reliable in downing a survivor than before with these changes. Yes they've gutted most of the ability but that doesn't instantly mean that it's now a bad ability

  • @BBQnDemogorgon said:

@gantes they're not but they just flipped it tge other way. Now survivors will never be caught because he has no chase tool just basic movement to down.

Well they still can get an easy first hit in and they can down them more reliable

I'd put them on par, due to the focus on individual skill for Huntress, and survivor reads and expectations on Hag. They both are A-tier and very fair.

Agreed but I'd say that Hag is a bit more reliable because she is kind of a 2nd nurse if played correctly

That is literally not what it means. Meta just means it's the most used tactic, which is not necessarily the most effective.

Meta litterly means "Most effective tactic available" lol

  • You added legs to Freddy in his default outfit. I can finally see his legs without having to wear the prestige clothing. What a nice QoL change

Finally! But i still prefer my full prestiege Freddy

  • Hex: uninstall

A hex rooting it's power on your greed for destroying totems

-A hex totem appears at the start of the trial close to a randomly chosen survivor's spawn location

-After the totem has been destroyed a timer starts

-The timer takes 2 minuts to countdown

-If the timer runs out before the survivor manages to leave the trial his game uninstalls itself

-If the survivor disconnects or dies before the timer runs out his steam client will uninstall aswell

    @PhantomMask20763 No, its not.

If by that you mean: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/57097/developer-update-april-2019#latest

That is absolute trash. No addressing the constant DC issues, the killer audio issues, nothing about rank rewards, nothing about totem placement, nothing about prestige rewards

You said "its all there and more".

None of the basics are there -- so how can there be more?

Where do they address the wealth of killer audio issues? The constant and purposeful DC's? The no rank rewards? Totem Placement? Prestige Rewards being crap since cosmetics came out?

Where do they address that @PhantomMask20763 ?

As a spirit player I rely on audio 99% of the time I play and I can tell you I did not notice any real sound issues that affect gameplay.

Ranked rewards would be nice but they'd need a proper ranking system in the first place and it definetly doesn't seem like something that should be a higher priority than a Legion or Freddy rework.

The constant DC issues are mostly likely either caused by the loading screen bugs, or from The Legion which are both issues adressed in the post. The ragequitting survivor issue is annoying as ######### yea I can agree but you can't do a lot against people getting salty. Survivors ragequitting would also in my eyes be not as important as the Legion changes or the end-game collapse. It is an annoying issue but Fixing Legion might help out at least in a way.

Totem placements will be further improved upon in coming updates ( AS THEY'VE STATED SINCE THE LAST BIG ADJUSTMENT TO PLACEMENTS BUT GOLLY GEE READING IS HARD)

And even thinking that prestige rewards should be on a higher priority than the things listed in the Dev update is absolutely ridiculous and you should maybe search some professional help if you think that prestiege rewards should be a higher priority than a completly reworked Killer, an endgame rework and changes to probably the most annoying Killer in the game.

Be greatful for once it's not that hard you don't have to act like a brat just because some of your wishes haven't been fulfilled yet.

  • Hello all, I have been watching various Q&A's with the devs, Cotes is by far the worst, but the others (minus not_queen) seem to just parrot whatever we want to hear.

This is the ######### I hate! You say the devs don't care about the game because they "tell us what we want to hear" would you prefer it that they'd just continue as they did in 2016-2017 and barely aknowledge the wishes of the community just because you feel like they won't give us enough closure? Since when has BHVR dissapointed us since they got the full license to DbD? Since the beginning of 2018 the devs haven't dissapointed us and always delivered on what they promised! Yes they do ######### up but everyone ######### up sometimes that's normal. The Devs have their priorities saying they don't care about the game is outright ignorant because they do care if you wanna say ######### like that play F13 and talk ######### about their devs on their forum or their Discord

  • @CaptainCastle said:

It felt like more of the same "we are totally doing stuff guys" teasing. I'll wait to count my chickens after they hatch with this dev team thanks.

The Devs haven't dissapointed us yet, if they said something comes out it will come out if there where delays they told us before hand. So how about you be happy about them actually giving us a proper insight and not doing the wrong things like other dev teams do.

  • Controversial opinion but I don't think stun reducers should affect DS.

So Calm spirit, Dead hard, Small game, and Borrowed time shouldn't exist either, because they counter entire Killer kits. Enduring might shorten your game time but so do things like toolboxes and SWF groups. They make matches short and annoying. There and if you have DS on lvl 3 it's still enough time to get to a near by pallet or to vault a close by window. Just because this one perk counters a different it's not bad for the game, saying that would mean that Distortion is bad for the Game because it completely removes aura reading perks for quite some time from the match.

  • I seriously think Hag needs a small buff. Nothing large, it wont even change much but this slight buff will help her against toxic SWF.

She is good the way she is. The thing you are talking about is a minor inconvenience that good Hag players know how to play around. And being able to play around the power is a good thing why are you complaining about people knowing how to counter you? Do you want every killer to be like Legion without any counterplay?

  • I can not believe out of 4 releases this year they did not include a Licensed killer.

So what you are trying to say is that the devs are forced to add licensed Killers which cost them quite a lot of money and will restrict their freedom of design while litterly the most fun and best designed characters are their own.

Stop being so entitled, say thanks for once like holy ######### this actually gets my blood boiling. The devs do not owe us ######### they put out as much effort as possible to make DbD fairly fun (with some exceptions).

  • I used to intentionally De-rank because I loved how free I was able to play, I didn't have to care about kills nor did I have to care about my rank (which was around rank 8 before deranking). It felt nice and was fairly fun especially because I could do little mini-games with the low-rank survivors, for example playing doc making them go Madness 3 and smaking them whenever they fail a skill-check. Or just seeing people not know what Scratched mirror is, and just hitting them once and returning to the shadows making them to paranoid to move alone. I'd say it's ok if you play fair and try to have a good and fun time of survivors, it's scummy if you only play to win and to basically bully the low-rank survivors or killers that is only scummy and ruins the experiece. Playing for fun and not trying to actually kill those surivors can sometimes be a shitload of fun, and it's something you won't see in rank 1, neither will you often meet people who afterwards add you so that you can help them understand the game which I find extremely enjoyable. I stopped doing it tho after I got close to rank 12 after which I just wen't to try and hit rank 1 which I eventually did and where I am stuck right now.

  • You wanna talk about it?
