Shout out to the time Garden had a little dip in it that got removed for no reason🙌

Garden had a dip? How do I not remember this?

  • Wesker’s “aiming” thing is most likely intended. It was removed once in a PTB and immediately fixed before going live so I think it is safe to say it is intended. If it wasn’t intended they would’ve left it out or at least mention it in the bug fix section of the patch notes, but they didn’t.

  • It wouldn't be fair to the other exhaustion perks to include such a powerful perk in the list. We all know Bloodrush is number 1!

  • They both can be stressful at times but in different ways.

Survivor is more of a frustrating stress. You try your hardest and everything is going well but then a teammate decides to throw the game and you lose and there was nothing you could do about it. It feels so frustrating to have such a good game go so bad because someone suddenly remembered they don't like Trickster.

Killer however is more of a "I'm a failure" type stress. You try your hardest and play fun and fair yet you are still greeted with GG EZ and butt dances that just make you feel like a disappointment. You know you shouldn't let it get to you, but it does.

Honestly though these feelings are very rare and I don't really get stressed out that much on either side but I'd say the survivor stress is more common but the killer stress feels much worse.

To anyone though who does feel really stressed out from this game, please take a break. Your mental health is worth so much more than it. And once you come back you will have so much more fun :)

Its info is bad, people dont complain UW for its info.

    • Its the no basekit counter against the perk at all.
    • Its the high speed killers can instantly spawn to survivors' position (which Aura perks can also do, so this doesnt matter)
    • Calm Spirit does not prevent the blindness, and the linger effect for 30sec makes hiding in locker does not work, unless killers think hiding in locker for 30sec for every 1min is a counter, which they do.
    • Its the denying 20 aura perks (WoO is a clutch perk blabla) is fine, but for some reason Distortion is complained about.
    • And final, denying basekit aura of slugged and hooked teammate, this is the core problem of the perk for me.

Info is not something to complain about UW. Its the insane utility that the perk gives.

The second point here is my main issue with it. It's overrated and mediocre at best on most killers but it makes the strongest killers even more oppressive. Yeah aura perks already existed, but they at least have some form of counter play where as UW doesn't.

This could also explain its relatively low pick rate. Only a small portion of the killers can use it but when they do it becomes an issue. It's like FTP/BU. Low pick rate because the vast majority can't use it but when they do it's an uncounterable game changer.

A Clown or Trapper with UW isn't a problem but Nurse with it on Midwich is an instant game over.

It should either be reworked into an info perk for slower killers without the Blindness or remove the info side and make it a Blindness perk. It doesn't need both effects.

    1. Sprint Burst
    2. Dead Hard
    3. Lithe
    4. Background Player
    5. Balanced Landing
    6. Overcome
    7. Dramaturgy
    8. Smash Hit
    9. Head On

That's my list. Although I feel BL, Overcome, and Dramaturgy are pretty close in strength. Anything above Smash Hit is pretty good.

  • The map is very oddly designed. There is no point to ever visit the theatre as killer which is sad because it’s visually the coolest part of the map.

The map is way too big to ever bother patrolling that gen. It needs to be shrunk down and then spread the gens out more. Like the parking lot would be a good place for a gen but right now it’s just a throw for the killer to ever go there.

  • It’s cool but I don’t like how it doesn’t have anything to do with the Unknown. It feels odd to have it be found footage and then have the “found footage killer” not even be related to it in anyway.

  • Usually only when there’s someone waiting in the exit gate to be a jerk and I don’t feel like dealing with it. I’ll just go AFK and let them do their thing while I go on YouTube or something.

  • Did this same thing a few years ago. You won’t regret it, the game is so much better on PC.

    Have fun!

  • I’ve yet to see anyone use this perk. None of my teammates or the survivors I face have used it, even Sables aren’t running it.

There’s no reason it shouldn’t work on blocked gens, especially when the original PTB version did. It already had a ton of drawbacks there’s no need for it to randomly not activate.

I post 1 art per day. Banned for spamming and bot like behaviour.

Someone said they're a mod in another sub and there is no bot doing such thing; so its may be from human mod. And people are thinking there is a mod in DBDsub has hate toward me.

I hired a mini painting artist to paint these, I dont want to ruin them, my board game is probably one of the last, they dont sell Collector edition anymore, only Basegame edition.

    Oh damn that sucks.

Pretty silly reason for a ban honestly. 1 post a day isn’t that much, especially when it’s artwork that takes effort and not just a random post or complaint.

I'm not saying his power is easier to hit when breaking line of sight, but it is absolutely undeniably easier than it is for huntress or slinger etc - in that he can actually hit without line of sight unlike them.

As for addons, causing deep wound while injured/weakened when dispelling is pretty powerful for a brown addon. The brown/yellow addons that cause oblivious against a killer who can appear outta nowhere is pretty strong. Staring down giving killer instinct is good. There aren't just little buffs to his power, theyre entirely new elements to it. Most killers don't have that sorta thing. Theyre by no means overpowered, but they're definitely good.

Deep Wound add on is bad because it requires them to be injured and weakened for it to activate. Survivors are barely Weakened long enough to dispel outside of chase and Deep Wound isn’t even that big of an issue to justify such a specific requirement. In the 20 or so games I’ve played as Unknown I don’t think I ever saw a chance for this add on to activate. It’s a really bad add on.

The Oblivious add ons aren’t good because the duration is so short and you are already in a chase so there is no need for Oblivious when they can already see you. 20 seconds of Oblivious is not nearly enough to hit them, leave, and then TP to them and then find them again. It’s probably his worst add on honestly.

The Killer Instinct one is also pretty bad because it only activates when they are looking at you and in that case you are most likely already looking at the survivor yourself so the killer instinct is useless. It might help you out in some niche scenarios where a survivor you weakened awhile ago is hiding nearby, but even then that is rare. Most survivors break Weakened really quick or in a scenario where you knowing where they are isn’t much of a benefit.

Small buffs to powers are much better add ons than giving killers new elements. They can make up for the weak aspects of a killers base kit (Knight’s Map of the Realm for instance) or make an already powerful part stronger (such as Ghost Face’s stalking add on). Unless the new effect is something really powerful like old Alchemist Ring, then you’re usually better off running the add ons that buff the main aspects of their kit.

You're misunderstanding a subtle difference here. I'm describing perks where you want (or in some cases feel like you need) the primary effect, but there's a secondary effect that is debuffing you actively.

What you're describing is that you didn't actually want the primary effect of that perk. That makes it a bad perk, and you can just not equip it.

With something like calm spirit, there's no other way in the entire game to avoid random screams. The only way is to take that one perk, so some players will actively want that effect. The perk would be better if it didn't have an unnecessary extra line about totems at all.

What you're saying is you don't want any part of the perk, and it would be better if it was a different perk.

The better killer example I should've thought of is dying light. Killers feel they desperately need slowdown as much as possible, and the primary effect of dying light is essentially free, permanent, unregressable slowdown. That's insanely appealing. The only reason this perk isn't meta, is the *downside* that the obsession is immune to the slowdown and is actively buffed for healing and unhooking. Remove that downside and the perk usage would skyrocket.

The original comment I was responding too wasn't talking about perks like that, they just said perks that are detrimental which Predator and Unnerving Presence are.

This has been a friendly discussion so far so please, lets not start throwing stuff like that around. Ofc a lot of people are capable of basic things like looking behind them, the issue is how much it has to happen in conjunction with other things. I can play against a lot of his powers, but its the fact that his power has so many different oppressive capabilities that people like me are finding an issue.

Anyways, the rest of this is for everyone else lmao.

There's been a lot of good advice here on how to play against parts of his power, but I'm still having a hard time playing against his whole power all at once. Dodging a UVX while also keeping an eye on the killer every 1.25 seconds while having to change my pathing away from the next loop while also having to keep in mind the hallucinations in the way and if/when i make it to the loop I've gotta think about how close I am to the wall all at the same time is difficult. When I am hooked on his way away from the hook a hallucination spawns and essentially camps me. Sure my teammate could dispel it but A) it could be hidden or B) its a soloq brain donor who treats it like a doctor's hallucination. I'm on a gen with a helmet on and no line of sight to him and suddenly I'm hit with a spit ball and injured for free. A hallucination I didn't notice while healing someone suddenly comes to life and downs us both. These are just a few examples of where his power shines, I can't think of any other killer who's power shines in so many situations like this.

He may have little control over when the hallucinations spawn, but he does have control over where. They spawn where he is, and unless he's walked off to the middle of nowhere then that location is most likely somewhere useful to him. His teleportation power is very strong.

His UVX does take 2 hits. It takes 10 seconds to dispel and 7 seconds to charge. In a normal loop setting you cannot see the killer constantly, meaning that 10 seconds to dispel can easily become 14 seconds even if you look at the killer as often as possible, giving him a 2nd shot. I saw an argument that breaking line of sight makes it hard for him to hit his shots - but I would argue that its still easier than any other ranged killer (except maybe PH) as A) he can bounce his projectile and B) it has an effect through walls. His UVX is undeniably powerful.

Another thing I've noticed and not brought up is his addons. They're very good. On one hand, finally a killer with addons that aren't a joke! On the other hand, his brown addons are stronger than some killers purple ones. It is very realistic to expect every Unknown to bring addons that have another powerful effect. This is just adding to the overall point of this post, why does he have so much stuff? Give a mutant a chainsaw and you've got a great killer. Give a drug addict some speed and a concussion and you've got a great killer. Give a dead girl the ability to go fast but not see anyone, just hear them, and you've got a great killer. These are all powerful killers with simple to understand powers, why does this guy need so much?

Breaking line of sight does make it harder for him to hit. The bounce effect is very small and the radius of the blast through walls will almost never hit you unless you hug it really tight and the killers aim is perfect.

What add ons are you referring to? Aside from Blurry Photo his brown add ons are pretty bad. His add ons don't seem all that great aside from a couple purples and greens.

  • I've done it twice. Both times against Wesker.

Rarely see it though but I will say that the threat of it has significantly reduced the amount of camping I see.

I'm not going to say that unnerving or predator are good perks, because they aren't. But his point is that some perks come with a negative downside that actively debuffs the user.

Take calm spirit: they 'buffed' it to make opening chests and totem cleansing quiet, but then added a debuff for cleansing totems a lot slower. Why? No one asked for that interaction, it didn't need it, and having the debuff arguably made the perk worse for literally no reason. Sometimes critically worse, during the 'pinhead stands on the box' meta, where this *survivor* perk made it impossible to counter the hexes.

The only perk I can think of that does this for killer is rapid brutality removes bloodlust.

They do negatively affect the killer more than help though.

Unnerving Presence makes more skill checks, which for good survivors means more Great skill checks and faster gens. It does the opposite of what it was designed too and is an detriment to use against any decent survivor outside of impossible skill check Doctor.

And Predator makes it harder to track survivors unless you are right on top of them. Because it makes them spawn super close together, you can't see them from a distance because they won't spawn on walls or obstacles as often. I think anyone who has ever used Predator can say that it's harder to track with it.

  • The map is so large that as killer you are better off just never going near the main building. This sucks honestly because the theatre is the coolest part of the map but there's no benefit to the killer to ever go there. And if the killer just doesn't chase you there even the survivors don't get to experience it. It makes the map feel like it's just an open grassy area and feels very bland.

  • Why did every other killer have their add ons adjusted to compensate but not Huntress, the one killer on the list who didn't need any changes in the first place?

The wind up buff wasn't needed but if it must stay then her add ons certainly should have been nerfed alongside it.

7 hatchets isn't too bad but when combined with her add ons it becomes too much. I'd say either reduce it to 6 hatchets base kit or again nerf the add ons to make up for it.

The changes to the other killers are all nice, it's just Huntress who should be re-adjusted. Although I feel Clown could use a few more buffs to make up for the removal of the blur effect.

Overall a great update just Huntress is very questionable.

  • Both sides have garbage perks. No one runs Up the Ante or Pharmacy for a reason.

    @Firellius said:

All perks that are actively detrimental to the wielder are survivor perks.

Predator? Also Unnerving Presence on every killer except Doctor.

  • The best way to learn to counter a killer is to spend a couple of games playing as them.

He has a very small margin of error. The cool-down of UVX is 7 seconds and the time to remove Weakened is 10 seconds. So if you are looking at him, he literally can't afford to miss 1 shot or you will be able to remove the effect. So you only really need to avoid 1 bomb every now and then to avoid getting hit.

You can avoid his bombs similarly to how you would avoid Huntress/Slinger and Nurse. Unlike them however, even if you do mess up you still can avoid it do to how less forgiving it is.

    • You can run towards him to avoid a bomb, similar to Nurse.
    • Don't lock yourself into easy to hit actions such as running vaults. However unlike Huntress and Slinger, even by doing this he doesn't always guarantee a hit because the projectile hitting you doesn't damage you, only the explosion so he has to aim it correctly to hit you which is much harder than Huntress and Slinger.
    • Don't hug walls too tightly but don't run too wide. The explosion radius is quite small through walls so you don't have to play too safe. Mainly around corners is the deadliest part.
    • Don't run into corners. You can't avoid his power there as easily.
    • The explosion has a short linger effect so don't run into until it has disappeared.
    • He can't aim in front of him. So if you are ever in a situation where you know you will be hit, run straight into him. Now he has to M1 you and you get to remove the Weakened so he now has to land another 2 to down you.
    • If you are Weakened and he is carrying a survivors nearby, just look at him. He can't stop you and you can easily remove the Weakened for free.
    • Staring him down has a 1.25 second linger effect so you don't need to be staring at him as consistently as you do for Ghost Face.
    • And of course like Slinger and Huntress, breaking line of sight against him makes it really hard for him to hit you and since he has such a slow projectile speed, it's easier to avoid this way compared to the others.
  • Yes this is true.

On most older maps, pallets have certain spots they can spawn in however only a limited number can spawn and so some spots are empty. As these spots still count as pallet spawn locations Freddy can place his Dream Pallets there.

The new map however, all these potential pallet spawn locations always have a pallet. This means Freddy cannot place any Dream Pallet until a survivor drops one and you break it. This issue is present on a few other maps such as Midwich which always spawns pallets in the exact same location and Toba Landing which also uses up all potential spawns at the start.

This makes this map pretty bad for Freddy because:

    1. You have no power until someone drops a pallet (on top of all of all the other restrictions around his power)
    2. As you can only set up pallets that have been used previously, survivors can avoid them easier
    3. Despite this there are a ton of pallets on this map, so even if you do place one down the chances that they will use it is lower than other maps because they have a ton of others to use.

Basically, the newish map design philosophy of using up every possible pallet spawn at all times is hurting Freddy and making him even weaker than he already was.

Yep they've since updated the wiki to state it doesn't work.

Honestly weird that the old one worked but this one doesn't. I still think it could be a bug or an oversight. If not then that's just a dumb restriction that should be removed.

    Man that sucks.

That’s also kind of a fumble on BHVR’s part, ngl.

I don't think BHVR really did anything wrong here. Nothing about Unknown is supposed to represent transgender people (or non-binary as the voice actor mentioned). They most likely just hired her because she can perform a male and female voice and is trained in doing so and didn't even consider what people would do.

If anyone associates a genderless creature wearing both masculine and feminine clothes together with someone being trans or non-binary, then that's on them not BHVR. It is disgusting that people are actually acting that way and anyone who is should be banned no questions asked.

Yes, they will be like boons. We all know how great and fun boons were before they were made useless.

Boons were never good, it was just CoH was busted. And since CoH was the first one released it just tarnished the image of boons. Other Boons have barely been adjusted and we’re always garbage.

But unlike Boons, Invocation perks didn’t release with a broken, game defining perk. So there’s nowhere for this mechanic to go but up!

  • Once they add more Invocation perks I think it will be okay. Right now it’s awful simply because you spend so much time on a pretty meh effect. However once they add more perks, spending 2 minutes to gain the effect of 4 perks doesn’t seem too bad, and less time when multiple survivors join in.

Right now however, yeah it’s pretty bad.

  • I think I’m going to start wearing the charm just to annoy those transphobes.

I know he said something along the lines of who owns the rights is confusing so they can't bother with it right now.

But i mean previously what he's said regarding licenses has been misleading.

He said netflix still wasn't talking with him last year but a few months later the stranger things chapter returned.

When it came to chucky he said it wouldn't be very fun playing as victor all match but it did happen.

This just sticks out to me. The other licensed stuff that the people on the live stream were wearing are in dead by daylight. Ghost face cap, and a evil dead t-shirt.

Could mean nothing but it does stick out to me.

Unlike Jason though he never straight up denied Stranger Things or Chucky in the King/Paulie Esther interview, he just expertly dodged the question.

If I remember correctly he said Stranger Things was something he couldn’t talk about and in the hands of Netflix, and Chucky he said it would depend on if they believe the game has reached a point where a little doll would fit the game but never denied him.

Jason however he said he wasn’t happening anytime soon due to the licensing being a nightmare and that he would make an offer as soon as the chance presents itself.

Also unlike Chucky and Stranger Things they never asked Cote about Jason, Cote brought him up as an example of the difficulties with licensing. If Jason was happening at that point then I don’t think he would have brought him up.

  • Alan Wake’s not even close to the worst.

Skull Merchant, Twins, and Nightmare on Elm Street are arguably the worst chapters.

"Petty", "spiteful". Some mental gymnastics going on in this threads because a survivor did not die in the way the killer preferred for some meaningless steam achievement the survivor might not have known is being attempted. If that even was the case. Better luck next time.

It is petty. The survivor is dead either way. The only reason someone would do this is to deny the achievement. If the killer hasn't pulled you out of the locker and everyone else is dead then it is pretty clear what is happening.

These add ons need a complete rework (and along with it the achievement).

  • I used to run it constantly and for a little while it was the only perk I ran alongside Shadowborn as Ghostface. I thought it was decent for awhile but I noticed all the flaws with it.

    1. It’s very inconsistent and RNG dependent. Some maps have an insane amount of crowd (e.g., Lery) and you basically know where someone is at all times. Other maps have next to no crows and the perk trigger only once or twice the entire match
    2. Open maps the perk is useless because you can pretty much already see the survivor or the crow without the perk. And you can’t sneak up on them because they can also see you.
    3. Calm Spirit is becoming more common and just nullifies the perk
    4. Good survivors don’t even bother hiding so the higher you climb the less value you get because you can find survivors easily without it
    5. After awhile you start to learn crow placement and can notice crows being disturbed without the perk so you don’t need it anymore.

It’s a decent perk and really good to help you learn how to use crows more effectively, however there are much better tracking perks to use now.

  • I honestly feel like it would be too overwhelming and cluttered for new players to just see so much on screen at once, especially as Killer (and even worse if they are playing someone like Trapper with trap auras added into the mix)

If they want to use WoO or Zanshin to help new players, then they should just make them universal perks rather than base kit.

I'm an android, I won't be biased. You can trust me. Though as humans you are still inferior.

Guys I think we can trust this one. It doesn’t seem like it was programmed to harm the crew.

  • Year 4 simply because it gave me Ghostface.

It’s also the only year where I don’t think anything problematic or broken was released so even without Ghostface it would still win.

  • How did it even work?

  • Up the Ante without question. However you've excluded that so I'll say Corrective Action or Collective Stealth

Corrective Action not only requires someone else to trigger it, the higher your MMR is the less likely it will activate. Meanwhile if you are in low MMR, you probably can't hit great skill checks consistently enough to even get the tokens. And even then, your low MMR teammate probably doesn't even know what just happened and will still run off after missing the skill check. And even if you can hit greats consistently, it's still RNG dependent. You might not even get skill check before they miss it.

Teamwork: Collective Stealth is also a contender because:

    1. Requires someone else to trigger it for you.
    2. You need to stay very close and in order to get any value you need to be chased or near the killer... but why would you want to both be chased at the same time? And two survivors running is pretty easy to see even without scratch marks. And if you want to hide why bother running?
    3. If one of you has Sprint Burst it just ends
    4. It has an over 2 minute long cool down!
  • With how easy it is to reach the basement on this map, I can see Sable's perks getting a lot of value on it. Especially her healing one.

    Overall good map.

  • I honestly like it for both sides but it could use some changes.

    • Reduce the amount of pallets but make them safer
    • Remove the window near the portal
    • Make the hallways wider or less cluttered so killer powers don't cause fat shaming spots
    • Open some of the doors so that there are less dead ends
    • A hook should spawn on BOTH staircases at all times. If only 1 spawns and it is used you can't hook anyone upstairs.
    • Add something actually useable upstairs for survivors

This newest map most likely created off from Sable memories. There's a mark that Sable and Mikaela left behind on the wall you can find. Such a small detail no one would bother to remember or care about unless you were the one that put it there in the real world.

Makes sense. She probably never left her basement long enough to remember what the outside looked like.
