  • I think it's just the lighting that makes her look different. In brighter lighting her face almost looks like it was blurred using a filter and in darker lighting she looks older, almost middle aged. But in the lobby and certain game lighting she looks fine.

  • I like the Halloween events. They're usually fun and it's nice to have things switched up a bit for the event. But last year also introduced FOMO outfits and probably bringing more to the game, which I'm not a fan of.

  • Would be awesome if we got some actual DBD costumes. The only DBD related thing I saw in store was the Devil Ghostface mask.

  • The only issue I have is that the turrets still do basically nothing half the time, even if properly placed. Other than that, I think Xenomorph is fine where they're at now.

  • Knight is my other main, so I find him pretty fun to play. It's fun to see the guards chasing the survivors around the map and he has one of the best moris in the game. However, the guards AI and patching is absolutely stupid sometimes. Nemesis' zombies do better at their job than them most of the time.

He also can be extremely annoying to play against sometimes. Especially when he forces you out of loops with the guards. And if Assassin spawns, it's usually a guaranteed hit/down. And sometimes you can't reach the flags because the guards or the Knight himself will chase you far from them.

Most of his addons are bad/mediocre, but Iridescent Contract is absolutely needed on him in order to play him effectively. STBFL is really good on him along with most tracking perks like BBQ, Nowhere To Hide, etc. You can also run a typical gen regression build on him, like DMS/PGTW/Overcharge/Pain Resonance.

  • That would be awesome. I loved the Silent Hill menu back when that came out so I'd love to have it back again. Maybe even add an option to pick menu music as well.

  • I haven't played in over two weeks and have been focusing on other things and games. It's been great.

This game just has become an unfun mess. You can't even have a relaxing/chill game most of the time, it's always competitive. It's gets exhausting after a while.

  • I usually play Thalita, Renato, Cheryl, Haddie, and Elodie the most.

I also sometimes play Maria, Nea, and Ellen.

  • Well more cosmetics I won't buy. Sets are dumb, especially if they clearly don't need to be linked.

  • Yeah I kinda miss the static facial expressions compared to the "updated" ones, which don't even look good in the first place.

Ace permanently smiling throughout the match was one of the funniest things ever imo.

  • One of the reasons I like female survivors better is because the female survivors tend to have WAY better cosmetics and they're smaller and easier to hide with. They also tend to have better backstories and most of the guys are loud compared to the ladies.

  • That would just promote survivors to hide all match waiting on hatch instead of playing the game. Plus Left Behind already exists.

  • Deliverance can still be used if your teammates decide not to help you off the hook. It's still a solid perk.

  • It's ok but sometimes dead zones can spawn and the ship can be a bit confusing to navigate. But other than that, it's a good map and the atmosphere is awesome.

  • Auto buy tends to leave out good items/addons/offerings so I get what I need and let auto buy do the rest.

  • It does get annoying at times but it's also one of the strategies that make him fun to play and go against.

Either let him hit you before the guard hits you or if he decides to wait it out, run and try vaulting pallets/windows, throw down pallets if needed, and get the guards flag. Stalling is key in that situation.

  • Anti-camp mechanic seems good and will definitely help out solo survivors.

I'm interested in seeing how new Skull Merchant works. The only problem I have is that they're changing her chase music. I know a lot of people complained about it (Mainly because of the main part) but I really liked it. Hopefully it stays similar, but they change that loud, washing machine like, part of her music.

  • Shack is arguably the strongest structure/loop in the game regardless of the map, so usually you'd want to save it until later in the game.

However, just because it was used early is no reason to throw the entire game. In certain situations you have to use what you can to get away from the killers and they got 3 gens done regardless. Some survivors will find the pettiest of reasons to not save/help you during the match.

  • I had a bot Rebecca continuously crouching beside me until I let her heal me. There was a Bill nearby looping the killer in the other room (We were on Lery's). She then proceeded to miss 3 skill checks and alerted the killer over to where we were. She was injured as well so I ran away with my Sprint Burst and she ended up feeding the Myers stalk to tier 3. The Bill managed to get downed (I'm assuming he was still nearby that area somewhere) and bot Rebecca got downed nearly 4 seconds after that. The Myers picked up the Rebecca and hooked her, where she went into second stage and proceeded to miss hook skill checks and die before anyone could save her. We were at 4 gens.

  • Yeah, but that's mostly due to burnout. I've been playing a lot less lately and have been focusing on other games.

However, both survivor and killer just get boring after a while, mainly due to the sort of repetitiveness this game has. It seems like everything fun just gets taken away in this game. Hopefully new game modes/mechanics will be introduced to make gameplay more fun.

  • She's apparently getting a rework soon, presumably in the next mid chapter update. So let's hope they don't mess that up and actually make her fun to play and play against.

  • No Mither and Self Care is just a meme build. It gives no value, just there for silly gameplay/trolling.

  • Not getting too excited over it because of the fact the map will still be red and the rework will most likely favor one side over the other (Like the Coldwind rework). However, I'm hoping they'll do something about those awful tall stone walls and how open the map is.

  • Even if the face camping changes make it to live, Bubba will still find a way to face camp. He's one of the few killers in the game who can just ignore Endurance.

Also good riddance to Snooze Merchant. Hopefully her rework will be good.

  • Never because they got rid of the atmosphere and immersion a long time ago when they first decided to graphically rework the old maps.

  • Thankfully I haven't ran into her that much. But her rework really can't come soon enough.

  • If we're not counting Skull Merchant, probably Hag and Pinhead.

  • Xenomorph is literally how they were in the PTB, which is fine. They are still a good killer, but now they actually have some sort of counterplay.

  • It doesn't make a difference to me because I'm not good at flashlight saves and my teammates usually can't/won't flashlight save.

But if you permanently removed flashlights, survivors would just bring stronger and better builds/items. And it gives them more reason tos it on gens. So I don't agree that the game is better without them.

  • Here's to hoping that her rework will actually make her fun to play as and play against.

  • Another challenge that requires you to basically throw the game. How lovely.

  • My expectations:

    - Unnecessary nerfs to perks on both sides, especially the widely used ones, effectively making them garbage tier

    - Another map reworked to be useless

    - Addon changes that make literally 0 difference

    - Pig getting nerfed again

    - Bugs

    - More unnecessary changes that nobody asked for

  • Given that some players on both sides usually take advantage of these type of things, it's no surprise. Should've just killswitched the coins as well.

  • Well if some players hadn't have purposely exploited a game breaking bug then we wouldn't be in this situation in the first place.

Also shut the servers down because of an issue with an item? That's a very bad idea. That's like saying shut down the servers because a killer got killswitched. It's better to eliminate the problem until it's fixed than shut down the entire game because of 1 item.

  • That's great!

Although I am kinda sad Appraisal is disabled because it's a major part of my main builds. I can understand why though.

  • As someone who used to main Legion back in the day, can confirm their power was unfair and terribly designed. However, I still think Skull Merchant is worse though because at least with old Legion the matches would end quickly. Skull Merchant just holds the game hostage.

  • Special items are (I think) items that apply to certain killers powers. So they'd be:

    - Alien's Flame Turrets

    - Wesker's First Aid Spray

    - Nemesis' Vaccines

    - Sadako's Video Tapes

I don't know if I'm missing anything else.

  • Yeah something really needs to be done about this. You can literally hold games hostage with this.

Just recently went against a Xenomorph and the two Mikaela's on our team (who seemed to be in a SWF) used the locker exploit. I felt bad for the Xenomorph. He couldn't hit them through the lockers or pick them up because they'd crawl inside of the lockers. And he ended up taking his anger out on me and Gabriel by tunneling us out of the game. I don't really blame him either because I'd be frustrated in that situation too. I don't know how long the match lasted because I left immediately after. Hopefully those Mikaela's got reported.

  • Artist, Huntress, Wesker, Nemesis, Demogorgon, Oni, Dredge. And Pyramid Head, but he needs better addons.

    Hillbilly would be decent if he was back to his old version. ;-;

  • I'll just leave one of my perk ideas for each role from a custom chapter I made.

(Survivor) - Survival Instinct: You are resilient and can make it through anything. When a generator is repaired, your grunts of pain are silent and you leave no scratch marks or pools of blood for 12 seconds. Additionally, your generator repair sounds are completely silent if you are injured.

(Killer) - Scourge Hook Veil Of Darkness: You create chaos everywhere you walk. After hooking a survivor, the generator with the most progress is highlighted in yellow. For the next 40 seconds, all survivors that are in your terror radius are effected with the Exhausted and Oblivious status effects.

  • Because there's better aura reading perks available now.

Back when Nurse's was somewhat meta, it was one of few aura reading perks available. Now we have an abundance of them, most of them better than Nurse's.

  • Because it would be broken as all heck.

He'd get infinite map pressure with Static Blast, terror radius perks would be absolutely busted, you'd have no way to tell how far/how close he really is. No killer should have an infinite terror radius.

  • Kate. From her lore, she a genuinely nice person and could probably beat the Entity if determined enough.

And Carmina. She's incredibly kind and all she wanted was to make the world a better place. Plus I feel bad for her.

  • Trickster - I do like playing as him, but MFT makes him feel awful and he just needs a whole rework/revamp on his power imo.

Skull Merchant - I actually do play her from time to time, but she is also unbelievably boring to play. Not to mention, the only really viable way of playing her is 3 gen-ing, which is very unhealthy for the game. She needs a rework to make her power more fun and healthier for the game.

Freddy - Another incredibly boring killer to play, even more boring than Skull Merchant. Just bring old Freddy back, please.

Hag - She's just too frustrating to play imo. You have to waste all this time setting up traps, her teleport range makes her feel bad, her movement speed and camera height makes her miserable to play as. Not to mention her power promotes camping and sometimes that's the only viable way to play her. Her power needs some buffs or a rework.

Twins - If they weren't so clunky and buggy to use and Victor could actually do more, I'd actually like playing as them. You kinda feel helpless when you down someone across the map as Victor, have to wait out that awful cool down, switch to Charlotte to be able to go over and pick them up, then get there just to see that they got up by Unbreakable or a teammate. It's the same when you're playing as Victor and can't break gens. Even missing an attack with Victor feels terrible because of the awful cool down. Twins need a whole rework and thank goodness that they'll be getting one soon.

  • Hopefully they keep the perk strong or at least decent. But knowing how things usually go, MFT is definitely gonna be messed up somehow and made useless. Like every other strong/decent survivor perk in the game.

  • Good news. Hopefully they address his busted addons (Alchemists Ring, Compound 33) and not completely destroy the rest.

  • It happens quite frequently to the point where it's ridiculous. The bots can also fail healing skill checks on other survivors and themselves. And fail skill checks on generators. They are really bad and need improvements.

  • If you play the Born From A Wish DLC for Silent Hill 2, it somewhat explains Maria's existence in a way.

Maria and her story can be interpreted in so many different ways. But here's my theory (Based off both SH2 and Born From A Wish DLC): She wakes up in Heaven's Night, not knowing who she was or why she was there. She saw the fliers mentioning "Maria" (like the one found in SH3) and decided to take on the life of Maria so she feels like she has an identity. She has all of Mary's memories, which is why she eventually felt like she had to look for James. After meeting James, she became confused about who she was. She knew that she had Mary's memories, but she also knew that she wasn't Mary. Which is why later in SH2 when James asks if she's Maria, she says "I am, if you want me to be". She eventually realizes she only exists because of James. So she shapes her personality around him and what he wants, and becomes obsessed with him. Because she doesn't know who else to be and James is the only person she truly knows, even though those are Mary's memories. And she's constantly fighting the memories of Mary, knowing that's not who she really is or who she wants to become. Which is why she grows to hate Mary, along with James constantly mentioning her. So basically, she doesn't have free will and she doesn't know who to be, because in the end she was created by the town of Silent Hill from James's guilt/memories. She's a manifestation of what James wanted Mary to be like.

Now how she got to the Entity's realm? I'm guessing in this timeline the "Maria" ending would be considered the canon/true ending of Silent Hill 2. So I'm guessing as James and Maria were getting ready to leave Silent Hill, they both got taken by the Entity.

  • I think Haddie would be the best fit for the main character. She has a lot to work with lore wise. Plus she has psychic powers and is a awesome character in general.
